201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SportLover Daily Tips on: August 28, 2020, 02:20:50 PM
Could you also post a review about which sports bookie's are profitable in terms of odds, if they have discrepancies in rewards earned, and its mechanics if the criteria for winning is way to difficult.
I tried playing on a betting site, mostly i wager in Dota Tournament's but the mechanics was way to complicated like if the other team has first 10 kills then you win.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 28, 2020, 02:06:01 PM
Let me list 5 countries where the Online Gambling is legal and flourishing :

UK
Japan
Germany
Spain France

source

Honestly I expected to Find more of them.

I would like to quote something in regards to US:
Quote
It is never legal to gamble on a website based in the United States. Also, if you are planning to operate an online gambling site, stay outside of the United States. You must also deal only with casino and poker wagers (not sports bets) from people in the US. ... Accepting online gambling advertising is also illegal.

Now the question is : Why should it be legal?
-Better handling of scammers
-Protection for people
-It does bring good revenues for the government
-healthy restrictions regarding age and addictions

Now the people are going to do it anyways they cannot control that part , what they can do is discuss the terms and conditions and create a safe environment.

What do you guys think?
Should the government allow it more openly?

I can't understand your logic? How can gambling protect people when its the source for people getting bankrupt? Second of all, it's not a restriction at all for addictions, it can also get you addicted and spend to much without you noticing it.
That's why it's best gamble if you absolutely know the risk or have allocated an enough amount for you to play and enjoy.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to develop crypto address validation technology? on: August 27, 2020, 11:59:58 PM
Well Cryptocurrency is still a Beta Technology and lots of features are still missing because some of it are pretty hard to do, especially if those Crypto Tokens use different ecosystem and doesn't have static prefix at the end of their characters. I believe this is purposely structured that way, so trackers could have a very hard time locating what your doing with your Cryptocurrency.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 27, 2020, 11:50:19 PM
Bitcoin has a lot of competitors, and some of those are Defi by ETH, then there's chainlink and lastly Polkadot. Those projects are much hype right now and blowing up in terms of demand. So i don't think that anytime soon, will see Bitcoin as main currency used for payments for every services. Honestly, what i think is every Cryptocurrency should be accepted payments.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this considered cheating? or Ilegal? on: August 27, 2020, 11:53:07 AM
when they revealed the unhashed server seed I checked it using a SHA512 calculator... It should match the hashed server seed they provided to me, however, it does not match.

So the hashed SHA512 of the server seed is different from the hashed server seed they gave to me when I started my session.
First, I would suggest you share the unhashed server seed here so everyone can double-check it. Did you calculate using binary hash or string hash? Sometimes it was the problem.

https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/40924/op-sha256-mismatch

Yes indeed, free online tools could have discrepancies in result. You should first double check. Maybe, you're just doing something wrong in your process that the output is different from what you've expected.
Better post the hashed server code here, so the community can help or guide you, on how to throughly check it.
206  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise | August 2020 🔥 on: August 27, 2020, 11:45:41 AM
Clearly that shows some red flag, and that casino shouldn't be trusted in the first place. Users shouldn't never be disabled of withdrawal through increasing fees in an insane amount. It only means that casino or gambling site cannot be trusted with your Crypto's, and should be immediately reported here in the forum, to warn others.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 27, 2020, 12:00:17 AM
That must be the great Institutional short, basically a manipulation to bring down the price again. They want to lower the price, so it can trigger panic. Then buy back and ride the boat.
I'm never falling with these kind of strategy once again, that's im not selling, and buying theirs instead.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Lost Its Way: Here’s How to Return to Crypto’s Subversive Roots on: August 26, 2020, 11:52:30 PM
Bitcoin really has somewhat become centralized with its secondary solution by using a central database that can be manipulated by the owner.
Anonymity has become a hindrance towards adoption, i guess we need to have alternative solution, so we can sustain our privacy while country's can safely ensure Bitcoin's reliability towards different use. For instance taxation.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: August 26, 2020, 01:29:59 PM
Esports is fun to bet with, when you actually know the game and played it first to get higher perspective, before betting because these gives you insight on many things like spotting pro and noob.
Maybe i'll have this a play first before, betting on it and learning from the community which teams are strong, and start from there. The concept is intriguing but i think i've seen games that has those kind of features.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 26, 2020, 01:23:39 PM
The Akio guy, maybe got his money from a loan shark. It's really scary thing once you get addicted to gambling, because you'll start to pile up debts without you noticing. Im surprised to not see $1 Billion lose by someone in gambling history. These loses should be a reminder for everyone to not bet you cannot afford to lose.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Stole 1,000 Traders’ Personal Data From CryptoTrader.Tax on: August 25, 2020, 11:59:47 PM
That's why it's not good idea to store private keys especially with a centralized authority holding the data. If they're using Cryptocurrency, why not use Blockchain instead? Rather than, a highly vulnerable database that someone could easily gain access to.
I believe the ETH blockchain enables you to develop smart contracts tailored for your business requirements.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: when will cryptocurrency go mainstream? on: August 25, 2020, 11:49:15 PM
One of the biggest contributors on Cryptocurrency going mainstream and becoming well known into retailers and Institutional Investors will be the fiat and banks printing overdrive.
Even canadian firms, and restaurants are migrating their wealth to Bitcoin because their fea the whole financial system might end.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 25, 2020, 12:53:41 PM
I dont about how others bet, but analyzing everything seems to me like an overkill. People like that are seriously making money, and made gambling as an online source of income, probably.
But for me, my strategy is simple know the game, teams, and players. Odds is not 100% accurate to predict the winner. I sometimes, even go by instinct and just put money on team that looks strong especially when their in a winstreak.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: August 25, 2020, 12:47:06 PM
Gambling in Medieval Times was seem like life or death situation. I wonder, how much people are willing to put at stake to win something, from what i know they were betting anything even humans. Back then slaves was a trend, so losing back then will seriously ruin your life not just wealth. Gambling is the proof that no matter how many years has passed it will not be forgotten, even if other sports perish. Gambling will still survive.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (or others) for the Adult Industry? on: August 25, 2020, 02:24:38 AM
Are you a business owner in the adult industry? I can tell a lot has happened in Bitcoin during your absence, more people, including Institutional are holding and trading it. Even JP Morgan from goldman sachs accepted Bitcoin as legitimate asset, Bitcoin ATM's mass produced, and countries has adopted Cryptocurrency like Japan, India, Korea, Philippines, China and Russia. Some even considering into switching into it, replacing the old banking system, which lead to the creation of DeFi. So yeah quite a lot has change significantly.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining, Still Relevant ? on: August 25, 2020, 02:12:43 AM
Bitcoin mining requirements is costly these days. You need to purchase specific hardware in order to mine a block which give you BTC in return, which profits low. If you calculate your electricity and mining equipment purchase, and i believe Antminer is much more costly. This is piece because its decrypts the code of a block faster than a regular GPU.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 24, 2020, 01:10:44 PM
This is important. Gambling is not something which allows everyone to engage into it. There's that risk of being addicted into it. If ever kids will not be prohibited to enter or play in  gambling sites, not to be exaggerated, but this might push young people to steal in order for them to play. They don't have source of income more likely, so it is really possible.

Gambling sites should really pay attention into this matter by strengthening the requirements for a player to be able to enter the room. KYC sometimes is not enough and I hope there would be a way to regulate and avoid this possibility. And if there is already, I would like to know how it is done.

That is all good and well, but it would take our freedom as well. For instance there are some country's that prohibits online gambling, and in order to escape that restriction, a gambler needs an anonymous site that doesn't require private data to play on it. So in the end, there's no evidence if the government questions his networth.

Maybe, parents should educate and watch their children more often, rather than blaming the gambling site that's only there for entertainment.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: August 24, 2020, 01:01:57 PM
It would take even a lot of time preparing to recover his former body form, and to be able to endure those hard punches, his will is strong but his body would easily crumble to a tough opponent. It would be insane that he could regain some of his punching power in just 8 weeks. He's so out of the game for a very long time, just stay where you are or you're definitely just gonna take some beating.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto: "Bitcoin can scale larger than the Visa Network" on: August 24, 2020, 02:34:05 AM
Its possible that Bitcoin could scale exceed the current process of paypal but there's a problem with that, the issue is the halving functionality. Without incentives miners wouldn't create nodes to mine and process transactions,
and the recent drop of hashrate is because of people given up on Bitcoin mining difficulty and lower rewards in processing blocks.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2020, 02:24:46 AM
I think the Bitcoin community should build Webinars and training center's where they could learn and practive the deep universe of Bitcoin and other altcoins. Teaching them step by step and move to more advanced complicated lessons.
Teach them the essential of Cryptocurrency asset and how its much safer than putting money into banks.
