Champions League is on different level for Chelsea and borussia Dortmund after slight win in the game. Karim Adeyemi is superb with stellar performance on the pitch, backup with the long runs and skills that served a big threat to the visitors in the signal park stadium. On the other side, Blues die perform tackling on Jude Bellingham and Karim Adeyemi, who were the threats in the game. Graham Potter have all the chances to bounced back to the game but he hesitated to start the right players on the pitch.
Chelsea have to literally rebuild the team correctly. A new coach and a whole new strategy is necessary to get back to the team on its feet. The situation there is unsustainable like that and Dortmund isn't even a hard team comparing to the others playing in Champions League. A big and important win for City since they are first now in the ranking and they have the same number of points as gunners finally although Arsenal still lacks 1 match. I think if Mbappe started that game against Bayern Munich he would have made a big difference in the game, the minutes he played he was able to get the ball into the back of the net even though they were disallowed so I feel if he started it would have been much better for PSG, hopefully the second leg will be different and all stars will start the game.
Galtier was forced to not let Mbappe play full time tho, otherwise he would push him earlier. The second leg will be played in 3 weeks. By this time, Mbappe will recover but he and PSG have to avoid injuries, otherwise they will not pass for sure in front of Bayern. There are currently rumors that PSG has decided to sell Neymar Jr in the next season's transfer market. Neymar did have a bit of a fight with Luis Campos. We know Neymar's contract at PSG ends in 2025, but from local news, I read that PSG will soon release a low price for the sale of Neymar.
If this really happens I'm sure there are still big clubs interested in signing him. For example, if Real Madrid are interested, this could be a breath of fresh air for Ancelotti in giving new energy to the club.
Real Madrid will not take Neymar even if he is the last attacker on earth tho. First he is an annoyance for the team and has kiddish behaviour. Second, he has a very high salary and a low benefits/salary ratio. Third, he played with the eternal enemy, Barcelona. Fourth, Real Madrid president won't pick him. Yep, Benzema often gets injured, so he only has a small chance to make many goals. It is very different with Lewandowski who is always ready to play in every match. So, Lewandowski has a big chance to score as many as possible. So far, Benzema only played in 12 matches of La Liga but he successfully scored 9 goals. While Lewandowski already played in 18 matches of La Liga, he scored 14 goals.
The ratio is important for sure since Benzema barely playing games without being injured next. Lewandowski has also another advantage which is the assists he made for his teammates. I doubt that Benzema could overtake Lewandowski this season since Lewa could score many goals in one match thanks to his position in a team like Barcelona. Meanwhile Benzema is suffering from injuries and the defeats of his team whether it was a real defeat or a draw.. |

Bayern Munich mad a hige step to the qualification after beating psg 0-1, the dominated the first half and scored the first goal in the beggening of the second half, they was very close from scoring the second goal but the psg GK was awesome, psg need big work in the second leg if they want to qualify to the quarter final
An important step for sure but not a huge one since the goal scored in aways game is no more counted as 2 goals as far as I know. PSG mission is difficult for sure but Bayern isn't safe either. Bayern returned home with an important victory vs PSG in Parc des Princes  Unfortunately for PSG that Mbappe wasn't fully fit for the game, yet he pushed the team to recover after the goal. Not sure what Galtier is trying to do but the mission become more difficult with 1 goal late. I can't imagine PSG playing their Champions League match against Bayern Munich without these two players. Their inclusion in the squad is enough to motivate the entire team to play better football and strive for victory; it may even scare the opponents. We anticipate a highly entertaining match tomorrow, with both teams showcasing their expertise. Messi will play the game and Mbappe is within the team but not sure how much he will play and if he will be confirmed to be in the starting eleven. That's the problematic of leagues other than EPL and Serie A mainly. La Liga has a duo that control it, Bundesliga has exclusively Bayern and Ligue 1 almost exclusively PSG too. The problem is essentially financial, since these teams have more money and more spending abilities than the other teams. However, even the other teams took responsibility for what happens to them! They cannot expect to get a trophy in their league when they are losing points easily. Lille for example missed it badly after they won the title. Monaco is getting weaker than previously. Marseille are unstable. Lens played good and resisted but they started throwing points also, now they are 4th! |

But real sociedad were too strong this season for espanyol who struggling to survive in the la liga , despite a great fight of 2-3 loss to real sociedad ... they had pretty great response for every goals that the opponent side scored , they could have make it draw though.
Games between Sociedad and Espanyol while playing at home are challenging since Sociedad hardly win there. At least they won the 3 points and moved forward to secure the 3rd position for a while. Barcelona is securing their first spot too after a 1 goal victory vs Villarreal. Some people counted on Villareal to get points from Barca but they failed since the beginning. Germany Bundesliga is becoming tougher than it was.
So shameful for Eintracht Frankfurt. Losing 3 -0 to Cologne whom I thought is a supper win and a supper chance for them to overthrow Freiburg and Leipzig.
It's quite shameful to see Frankfurt struggling to have a goal against Cologne since the beginning of the second half. Dominating the possession since first with No no good on-target attempt.
The shameful part in today's 1.Bundesliga games is the humiliating defeat of M'Gladbach with 4 goals! Manchester City took Full advantage of the opportunity Offered to them by Arsenal after the gunners had played a draw in their match against brentford yesterday.
Manchester City out Aston villa to sword as they were up 3:1 when I last was watching the match. The pressure now is on both teams as they face each other in the next encounter in the English premier league.
Finally City started reducing the gap between them and Arsenal. They were able to win with 3 goals scored in the first half and now they are only 3 points away from gunners, well they still lacks 1 match so the real difference might increase to 6 points. ManU won 3 points too so they are 3rd with 5 goals difference from Newcastle which lacks a match too. The first positions in EPL are quite fragile and easily interchangeable after few rounds or even from a round to another. |

Real Madrid won the Club World Cup but receiving 3 goals by Saudis was quite unexpected. The defence line including the goalkeeper didn't do their job at the opposite of the good attack line. That match delayed their participation in La Liga to Wednesday so they will get another match Saturday then by Tuesday they will have to face Liverpool.. Quite intense schedule for Real Madrid.. |
