2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ex-Trump Advisor Steve Bannon: ‘Global Populist Revolt’ Helps Crypto on: September 13, 2019, 09:42:34 PM
Libra is a different beast. It's not decentralized and not censorship resistant.  Crypto is important because it takes power away from self-appointed power-hungry people and gives it to the regular people making it harder to take from them by force.  It's about freedom versus control. Authoritarianism versus liberty.

As we saw in the Libra, people are still more prone to Authoritarianism. People, while Bitcoin stands here, are just looking for different ways to make a profit. I think proof of this is the choice of "central" currencies like Ripple, Libra, and the fact that CEXs like Binance are still popular. Everyone rely on Centralized world still.
2002  Other / Meta / Who is this early joiners? (In Bitcointalk) on: September 13, 2019, 09:33:57 PM
As you all know, Satoshi is one of the important people for this forum. Not only did he find Bitcoin, we owe Satoshi as the founder of this forum.

I don't know everyone has already knew about Satoshi. Most of the first correspondence on this forum was satoshi himself.
If there is anyone who don't know about satoshi's profile, they can look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3
It is the profile of Satoshi.

I wonder who is the first joiner in this forum.

I looked it all.

1) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1 - I think it is just founder account. This account may belong to satoshi.
2) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2 (there is no account)
3) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3 (Satoshi's himself) He disappear in 2010.  Sad
4) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=4 ( Sirius: he said in his profile that he is not admin. He has not logged in to the forum since January 2018
5) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=5 (there is no account)
6) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=6 (it is just a newbie. - Interesting.)
7) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=7 (there is no account)
Cool ... It is going like that...
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: September 13, 2019, 11:47:45 AM
I've tried to read one by one so far. Usually the answers are similar. I think the question is, will you use Blockchain's crypto wallet in the future? If yes, it is normal to do KYC. By the way, if the $ 25 prize comes in, it's nice too. But I think it's not right for Blockchain to do KYC for people who won't use it.
2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: September 13, 2019, 11:44:29 AM
I see little likelihood that SCAM ICOs can fool conscious investors. However, they can scare the new investor away from the market.
Don't invest in any projects you don't know about anything. Crypto investments always full of risks.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finding the best Altcoins on: September 13, 2019, 11:42:37 AM
I've decided to put more attention on altcoins now when analysis project another big pump in crypto, but which tools/sites do you guys use to do so? I've seen many new coin listing sites and calendars and altcoin projection sites but I never got the feeling like "Waw this site is great". Any suggestions?

1) It doesn't matter which altcoins do you want to look into, you can always find any answer in here mean bitcointalk already. Just make a search and if you can't find any answer your question (which I don't think there is any question which bitcointalk members can not answer) crate a topic and just wait for a while. I am sure someone will answer to you.
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best online wallet for privacy on: September 12, 2019, 09:07:53 PM
I need an online wallet where they arent getting in my business, wanting to know where my money comes from, and just leaves me alone. Which wallet? Thanks

Wallet for what? Bitcoin?

There is NO bitcoin online wallet for privacy...

Why would you ever use 'online' wallet anyway?

Learn more about wallets here, and use Electrum as starting point:
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I definitely agree with you. Bitcoin.org's new wallet wizard help you completely. You can pick all features which you want. And you can see the compatible wallet with your choice.
2007  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase and my issue with centralized services (banks) on: September 12, 2019, 12:29:56 PM
As written in this article, banks will always attempt to maintain a hold on the people but when there's a will there's a way;

===
"Barclays Bank, one of the largest banking institutions in the world, will no longer be providing banking services to Coinbase UK.

CoinDesk first reported the details of the split, adding that the exchange has signed up with a replacement banking partner known as ClearBank.

Coinbase started banking with Barclays in 2018, in a deal which pioneered the relationship between British banks and cryptocurrency exchanges. The partnership connected the exchange to the U.K’s. Faster Payments Scheme (FPS)— a move that allowed users to make instant pound sterling deposits and withdrawals on Coinbase.

The exact reasons behind the split remain unknown, but it seems to have been in the works for some time. Late in July 2019, Coinbase announced that it would be removing FPS access for Coinbase UK customers, although Coinbase Pro customers weren’t affected. It didn’t provide any reasons at the time, but in retrospect, the move seems to have been the beginning of the end for its relationship with Barclays.

However, it is expected that by partnering with ClearBank, Coinbase will be able to get its FPS access reinstated."
===

The issue with these centralized exchanges and having 100% control over your money and how you choose to spend it is the main reason why bitcoin and the technology is a thing. So no matter how these banks try their hardest to clamp down on crypto, their pressure will force more innovation that will lead to online financial freedom!

They are losing control of the people and their $$$

This is nothing new. all over the world economic power is trying to control everyone. Coinbase can do this because of the legal regulations of the country in which it is located.

2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of the community in a project. on: September 09, 2019, 12:27:57 PM
There is a very united community behind every good project. The community is very important for a project. It provides discussions, consulting projects, and of course, it also plays a role in advocacy. I think a successful project will attach great importance to the construction of the community.

I agree with you, but many projects do not agree. I look at some global crypto wallets that work, for example, I don't have communities in my native language. I always prefer projects with support in my native.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of the community in a project. on: September 09, 2019, 12:11:50 PM
I think this is a matter of vision. Every project that intends to pursue a goal globally should create communities in different languages, inform them, and turn them into volunteers.

In fact, I think the best marketing work is to build communities in different languages. The greatest advertisement in the world.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Says China Zombie is a serious company with serious goals on: September 09, 2019, 12:09:25 PM
Cannot believe that there are still people that are following this guy. John McAfee is an insane person with serious problems, that has almost nothing to do with real crypto. The only thing this guy is doing is talking and nothing more.

Too many malicious people on Earth were followed by a large segment. We can't finish the examples. Some used people for their ego, some for their economic interests, and some for political power.

Imagine those who brought death to the shores of Troy for Agamemnon's wife, Hitler, Musollini ... Hundreds of them.

But McAfee is different. McAfee isn't just trying to satisfy his personal ego. He also makes recommendations that will cause people to harm. If you look at McAfee's twitter profile, you'll know that you're not a healthy thinking person.
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Turkey on: September 09, 2019, 12:03:31 PM
I read a number of answers to the question in astonishment. I'm living in Turkey. There are not many places in our daily lives that accept payments with BTC yet.

In addition, any regulations made by the government of Turkey yet. However, in many jurisdictions Bitcoin was accepted as monetary value. Therefore, interpreting, we can say that Turkey is positive cryptocurrencies perspective.

For example, a cryptocurrencies trading platform signed sponsorship with a football club. Thus, no information about Bitcoin in many parts of Turkey, could meet with Bitcoin.

Quote
BtcTurk, Turkey’s leading Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange, signed sponsorship deal naming the club ‘BtcTurk Yeni Malatyaspor’ for the 2019–2020 Süper Lig Cemil Usta Season.
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is whitepaper important in the project? on: September 08, 2019, 07:05:55 PM
In my opinion its very important to have a good white paper. And you can understand a project its good or not with its white paper. A good project always have a good organized, informative and non copy content in its white paper. They explains everything in the white paper. Without a white paper its hard to understand a project in its core. Most of the time in bad projects there are copy material in the white paper. They skip did ep information about the project. So its always good if a project has a white paper which explain everything.

How many people can really read whitepaper? There are thousands of cryptocurrencies on the market, and I'm sure if they were thoroughly scrutinized, we'd know that many of them didn't have a real whitepaper. Dozens of copies of each other whitepaper ...
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Messaging Giant LINE Wins Japan License for Crypto Exchange Business on: September 08, 2019, 07:02:53 PM
LINE is entering the market, which means ... Telegram is supposed to enter for more than a year... I'm sure LINE will enter faster.
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in XRP? on: September 08, 2019, 06:55:47 PM
I would consider myself a fool if i invested in XRP but yes i can invest a little while and get some profit. Since then i have never been reliable for XRP investments so here i do not want to excite myself.

I don't think it makes sense to invest in a project I don't believe in, even if it's just to make a profit with trading. I never trusted XRP. And I've never bought an XRP. Although I have foreseen that the price will rise sometimes!
2016  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbet a Russian scam! Becarefull on: September 07, 2019, 11:35:12 AM
I bet several times in 1xBet and I have never had the slightest problem. Even in deposit and withdrawal transactions, the exchange rate was very small. I've always been satisfied.
I am sure there is a misunderstanding here.
Yeah there are many missunderstanding here about 1xbet:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5173128.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1792648.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3149821.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4910116.0

I can understand what is your situation. What I'm trying to tell you is that, unfortunately, some people who don't know anything are betting. This makes it difficult to convince them that there is no problem. Unconscious bets can sometimes have bad results. This has nothing to do with the platform. I am not connected to the 1xBet platform. But I'm trying to tell you that I've bet before and I'm not having any problems.
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Says China Zombie is a serious company with serious goals on: September 07, 2019, 11:29:23 AM
[...] One of the Popular crypto influencer [...]

Influencer? And the popular one? Come on guys, read what you wrote. McAfee is one of the biggest manipulator on this market. He is talking only his own advantage. Be sure, he is trying to create needless hype and he will be sold his cryptocurrencies and exit the market.
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: 2017 vs 2019 on: September 07, 2019, 11:19:22 AM
Very interesting comparison that analyzes holding ETH in 2017 vs holding it today... https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/hodling-ethereum-2017-vs-2019/

We can make this comparison for every crypto entity other than Bitcoin. So it is not a very healthy comparison.

Thoughts? I'm super happy to have swaped all of my ETH for BTC to be honest

I think everyone who holding altcoin in their own wallet is regretful now. And if there is someone who is not holding any altcoins in his wallet, they are so happy now.
2019  Economy / Gambling / Re: 2D Bitcoin Battle Royale. Play to win Bitcoin - BitShowdown.io on: September 07, 2019, 11:05:39 AM
I can not see any ads in the game. But there is no one here which we can play game with.
I think you should run a good marketing campaign. I am sure if the players number increase, then you can see the real hype here.

You won't see ads in the game while playing. Only on the homepage and some other pages when you are not playing.
If you have ad block you won't see ads either. Though it helps if you whitelist it for this site Wink

These are good news. And where does your income come from? You are running background mining? Because you can't pay without any income.
2020  Economy / Gambling / Re: BSpin.io | Bitcoin Casino | Instant deposits | Slots, Games and Lottery on: September 07, 2019, 11:03:25 AM
Also if you look at the account setting, we don't see a "KYC Option" at there. So i think BSpin don't need a KYC went using their casino.

So how do they handle this promotion? I or any person can benefit from promotions repeatedly by opening multiple memberships. Doesn't that look right?
[...]
By the way Which promotion are you talking about? Do you mean misusing referral links?

Yes this one. So I can create an account and get referral link. Then I can register with my referral link. There is no limit for that.

Also, it's not just this promotion. It is possible for any event that may come up.
