2021  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 10, 2023, 07:58:16 PM
Making deposit in bank doesn't nowadays doesn't give any profit, the interest is something next to none. In that o mean the banks are just there to make profit for themselves using depositors money without corresponding returns as profit.

Gold is a good asset to invest in as it doesn't depreciate in value like fiat money. The value of gold in the market keep adding as demand for it arises. One of the great ways to insure your money not to loss value in years to come is for you to invest it in buying gold  instead of depositing your fiat in the bank.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 10, 2023, 07:44:22 PM
The majority of the investors and traders have misconception on investments because they think that they will easily become successful by putting their hard earned money in bitcoin and other assets without understanding that it is just the foundation and they need to work really hard and follow the other steps to beat the market and able to have gains in their portfolio. Don't get me wrong guys because I really promote investing but majority do not understand how it works, they think that there will be a guaranteed profits oncethey put their hard earned money but in reality, it is very harsh because outcome is not guarantee which means that there are thousands of outcome that can happen and what we need to do is to be prepared on what ever situation will be. So what are the outcome? they incur losses. They do not understand the risks associated with the asset and if the rewards are worth it or not. I read a past research and they conclude that only few percentage of investor are consistently making money and majority of the investors keep losing their money because of lack of knowledge. It is the number 1 reason why investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich.
The Holy Book of the Christians states that, "my people perish for the lack of knowledge",  which expresses that knowledge is the principal thing in every task of life. Many people that have invested in cryptocurrency they only heard about how someone around them invested in Crypto and it paid off, they never mind seeking for the knowledge about how such investment is done. When they hear bitcoin their next thought is that it's a source of making wealth, then they end up going into it the wrong way with o guide on what to do after investing.
2023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is self-meriting possible? on: May 10, 2023, 12:31:59 PM
May sound silly but has anyone tried meriting themselves on a discussion they start. I noticed that the option to merit a post is still available on a post we make, I wanted to try it out, but I do not want to default, so I decided to come ask first.

Is it possible to merit yourself?

Yes, you can merit yourself but you would need two accounts for it. A lot people do this on the platform and they get away with it.
Advising anyone to use have a alt account with the main purpose of using it for self meriting ones own account is a very wrong thing to do knowing full well it's against the forum's rules of the merit system. Any member caught up in the act with evidence, the consequence is always an ugly one.
Quote
People own multiple accounts and once they get merited on one account, they send that merit to their other account. This is very unfair because it denies other people who actually deserve the merits.
In every community their would always be those with deviant behavior as part of a whole.  For such persons they should be reminded that nothing hides under the sun for ever.

Quote
It would be very helpful if measures were taken to prevent self meriting as I just explained.
I strongly believe that there are  measures already in place  for such and if you should do some thorough check you will see some few cases.
2024  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accepted crypto for trading on: May 09, 2023, 08:15:59 PM
Hello you guys,
Until now, there is no country officially accepted crypto for trading or purchase as I know. Can you explain why?
Moreover, do you think that which country could be the first?
There are a few governments that have legalized the use of crypto currency in their country and the most popular of them all as it stands is El Salvador and this acceptance is driven with the expectation that bitcoin could help improve their economy and sustain it to cover certain debts. And there's a prospect that in the next ten years to come more countries would be able to accept the use of bitcoin along side their local currency alternatively,

Many countries that are currently not giving room to bitcoin to operate is as a result of the decentralization of the coin, every government wants a currency they can regulate  and be in charge over it's usage and for that they fear risking that economic power.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 04:27:20 PM

It's quite fair enough at stake. I guess that bookies have various reasons to consider whether the club must be favored or not. As you can see that if manchester city is always being very consistent in the domestic league and various competitions. It may become the main consideration for bookies to favoring manchester city in the upcoming match against real madrid. I consider how bookies were seeing haaland as the biggest threat for real madrid.

Real madrid was collecting 15 goals from three players while haaland itself alone was able making 12 goals in UCL.

That proves if manchester city has capability to make more goals in UCL even against real madrid.
Many are favorites for Man city vs Inter in the final because if you look at the performance of their last few matches. In fact, I think all teams have the chance to win. Inter, Ac milan, Real madrid have a chance because they have experience in winning champions while Man city this season has an even composition of good players and of course the coaching factor as well.

1. Man City vs Real Madrid
Man City's recent performance has been superior, the Champions League mentality for the last 10 years (which signifies existence in the Champions League), while Real Madrid doesn't need to be asked anymore.
My prediction is 60:40 because you need to remember that Real Madrid is smart, they don't hesitate to play passively, defending until the 70-80th minute, so that it makes the opponent fall asleep and Real Madrid will suddenly take advantage of it at the right moment. Moreover, Carlo Anceloti was smart in substituting players in those minutes. A test for Pep Guardiola. Can the Haland monster change Pep's destiny to win the champions league apart from being with Barcelona this season?
The game between Man City and Real Madrid is a very tense one for both teams as this isn't the first time they are meeting at this level of the UCL. And If there's to be any pressure then it should be on the Man City side as they have never won the UCL title before and this seem to be another opportunity to seeing that dream come to live after several attempts.

What I hope not to see man city players doing tonight is to not put too much focus and energy on benzema and vinicius Jr thereby leaving rodrygo at liberty to stealing the win for Madrid, we have seen such happened before, only the astute anceloti knows how he does the magic.
And moreso, City shouldn't base a much dependence on goal from haaland as that can frustrate their efforts at the verge of no goal coming from haaland. Tonight City are the favourite and that's not unconnected to the fact that they have never won the UCL before, so we don't expect to see less of an impressive performance from them tonight
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 09, 2023, 07:22:31 AM
Hi we are changing the reward system and we would like to have some feedback before launch the new system

What kind of rewards/bonuses do you like ?
Bonuses as we know are meant to motivate and increase user based for casinos and not originally established in the interest of the users but to have a retention of them as regular users. Although, some users normally don't bother themselves with rewards/bonuses all they are primarily concerned about is how reputable and fair the casino is.
Quote

Welcome bonuses , cashback , freespins etc ?

or what kind of rewards would you like to see in an online casino ?

Thanks
Like it is said, first impression matters, so a welcome bonus should be a part of any casino's bonus package so to attract new members. Then others could be referral bonus, and loyalty bonus etc.
Thanks.
2027  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: THE FUTURE OF AI ON BTC TRADING AND MINING on: May 08, 2023, 08:30:16 PM
Artificial intelligence is on a fast track. Task that were once considered to be time consuming and energy sapping are now completed within minutes using AI. some traders sit for hours in front of their gadgets analyzing charts and studying trends yet they end up making bad trade calls, but now there are AI bots that analyses the market and places trades automatically even while you sleep.

So friends, what do you think the future have in store for BTC trading and mining?
As it concerns cryptocurrency trading and investment the AI technology is just another over hyped scientific discovering. Using AI to analyze or initiate your trade doesn't guarantee you making a 100% good trade. The volatility of the market is something that AI technology can get a hold of to determine in the way many out there are expressing it.

There are areas of human activities where AI can really fit in without huddles buy definitely not seeing it doing same in trading as is every chances of it making bad trades. So what's the hype for!
2028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: the beauty of multi sig wallet [help needed] on: May 08, 2023, 04:16:21 PM
1. What I do on Binance P2P when buying a coin can be done by three or more people who don't even know one another with a multi sig wallet.

Am not sure there's any complementary relationship between a binance p2p and a multi sign wallet, as binance is a centralized exchange platform unlike a multi sign wallet like electrum that's a non-custodial wallet for asset storage and doesn't function as exchange.
Someone should correct me if am wrong.
Quote

I will download electrum, because it was recommended. How does the signing and signatories work?
Be careful about it, so no one take advantage of your enthusiasm in the process.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 08, 2023, 10:26:04 AM

Your business should have at least one season when you give out rewards and discounts to customers when they buy your products. This will increase your sales geometrically and when you remove the cost of the reward and discounts, you will still have increased profit.
Stock different brands of the products that you sell.
Haven mentioned certain key elements on how to keep increment in profit by business people and how to delight their customers for better patronage to their business. I would like to pick on the issue of the small scale shop or business, that it depends on the business size that a business man can be able to take up the decision of giving out rewards and discounts to customers. It can't be feasible for such a struggling business with a scarce space shop battling to hold up. Any attempt to have a discount giveaway is tantamount to ending the business.

On the other hand, the model is undeniably advantageous to large business owners. For customers easily switch to where they get value for their money due to the discount they may enjoy therefore leading to increase in demand and sells for the business owner.
2030  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the call for anti-monarchy system really necessary . on: May 07, 2023, 09:55:46 PM
The times of old are gone and the better the monarchy understands this the better for the country in the current face of the austerity and hardship that many British citizens are going through with a lot of people on the streets due to the impact of the economic crisis rocking the economies of many nations which Britain is not exempted. Rather much millions of dollars that could be channeled to other issues for common good of the majority of the citizens are spent on maintaining the royal family  at the expense of tax payers money and this is what the protests is all about. Cutting down expenses wouldn't be a bad idea for the general good.
2031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 07, 2023, 06:44:00 PM
Those trolls are everywhere let them make funny memes for crypto investors. I think the person who created the meme has shown his situation after the unsuccessful investment. That's what a loser is expected to do because such people are unaware of the rules of trading and investment. They put their money into assets without gaining essential knowledge about the assets and put their money into it blindly.
You likely may not be far from the truth as people are quick at throwing tantrums and castigating something that didn't work out for them even though it's working out well for most others. They fail to embrace their fault in their failure and instead of working out ways to learn from their failures they rather focusing their energy  on a condemnation campaign. But they forget it just won't change a thing as bitcoin keep covering more gaps.
2032  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there boards or threads that a newbie is not supposed to post in? on: May 06, 2023, 09:00:02 PM
Hello everyone.... I've seen handful of boards and threads that I can make reasonable contributions to by sharing my knowledge about some of the topics that are being discussed in these boards and threads but as a newbie, I don't wanna make unnecessary mistakes and that brings me to the question of "Are there boards and threads I'm not supposed to post in as a newbie"?
For a newbie it's more advantageous to you to stick to the beginners and help board as it is the most convenient place newbies can learn so much about the forum as it almost generally talk about so much of things you can find in other boards. Like it's all encompassing.

I don't know of the Meta board is restricted for newbies but I'll say you don't bother using there for now as it's discussion concerns every issues about the bitcoin forum. And as a newbie you have got no need there, others include the Ivory Tower,  Archives and currently and others

And based on the storylines aswr, this time the process soft we'll pass before.

Omoor my means of selling my bitcoin na thru binance oh, cos to me na him easy pass to understand compared to the remitano wey person first introduced to me, the tin  process look very confusing to me as at wen I first started, so I switched to binance and since den naim I dey use.
Like I talk, it easy to sell and buy.
Na dem go arrange the person with best price for you.
Like my own na two factor authentication I set, so dem must ask for both before I fit release out asset. So I just like that part of the security despite say we dey lash am say na centralized exchange.

2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: May 06, 2023, 04:16:37 PM
Although within this community Bitcoin is practically the only currency in which everyone believes, just look around a bit and we will find thousands of people who think otherwise.
At this point I wonder, what reasons should we give these people to make them realise that Bitcoin is a right choice? The first argument that comes to mind to convince a person who is sceptical about Bitcoin, is first of all that with Bitcoin you no longer need to delegate the custody of your money to a third party (banks, mutual funds, etc.): you are the master and you hold them. What else would you add?
At first I use to think this way, about ways I can use to convince people about bitcoin and why they should start making use of the digital technology, haven understood and benefiting from the currency myself. But I found out humans are hard to deal with for what they didn't on their own volition gained interest.

Some person's can attest to how they were later accused by those they convinced of investing in bitcoin and the market didn't go well as it was explained to them maybe because a dip happened after they invested.  Now you never explained this part to the new person when you were trying to convince them.

There's no better way than to allow your success speak for you stead of spending energy trying to convince people about bitcoin. Why not divert that energy on ways to increasing your success.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 06, 2023, 01:08:15 PM
Do you guys know that some casinos regulates their own slots machines themselves, can you gamble with ease of mind on such casinos?
Only the thought alone of having yourself play a regulated game is enough to derail a gambler's interest as the chances of you winning is like 1/10 even if with luck on your side. So I wonder where the feeling of ease would be coming from.
Quote

If slots games is all you are good at, are you really good at it or you are just lucky? Can you use the word 'good at it' with slots game?
It's easier to be "really good" at sports games than slot games. Like these are spinning reels with random numbers never knowing which might land for you. Lick plays a huge role in slot games than just only with the assumption of being good at it.
Quote

What is the most convenient games you play on gambling platforms?
For a gambling platform football would do.
2037  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 05, 2023, 09:25:32 PM
. So when Eddie (co-owner) was asked about this, he just commented that there were some irregularities.. so they removed it.

"Some irregularities", is he trying to say those particular games are not regularly played by gamblers as against what they initially expected before enrolling those games into their casino log.

Am no fan of slots games and there's nothing in gambling I love more than putting my penny on sport betting like football or basketball as their outcome hardly get tampered with and a lot of influence on its results seldom come to play unlike slot games in casinos.  The truth is, if you are having doubt on the trust system of a particular game you can always avoid it, and get on with slot providers you're cool with. Problem solved.
2038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 05, 2023, 04:59:07 PM
I saw this as a memes on a social media platform which created much laughter amongst many person's with funny comments that followed. But let's view it the other round in real sense.

Funny as it look, it's a reality for many crypto investors out there. A scenario were some had to invest when there was great value for the coin only to sell it when the price dropped after holding for long. Which means they never had an understanding of the basics of investing or trading before investing.

This this humor as it looks has turned many billionaires to millionaires down to thousand-naires as the case may be. Often times than not it could be that these people perhaps invested into the wrong coin and timing too.

Before you get to invest in crypto or bitcoin endeavor to know about the basics so you don't end up taking wrong investment decisions about it, so you don't send the wrong message or signal to people out there that are yet to know and partake in the industry.  Just like one of the photos I put up a alleging how "crypto is a biggest lie", and bitcoin isn't excluded in this statement either.

2039  Economy / Economics / Re: First Republic Bank fall: fear of more others to follow. on: May 05, 2023, 12:16:37 PM
With the number of banks, large ones at that, falling one after another in just a matter of months, this is really indicative of a much bigger problem. The sad thing is that all of this might just be the opening salvo. Surely, the ripple effect of what's been happening might even be worse. If the depositors lose trust and confidence of the banks, more billions will flow out. That will cause more damage.

People should now begin to seriously look for a better alternative. Bitcoin offers that.
There could be much of a discreet informations that these banks must be hiding about why the depositors had to at once withdraw their deposits from the bank leading to it's collapse. All of these institutions prefer taking their secret that led to their weakness to the grave than having it to the public desk. And in every matter of money when trust is no more ensured there's bond to be disagreements.

Starching more in a bank without getting enough return in profit from your money year in year out is one dump decision in this 21C, and my guts tells me some of those depositors might wanna try investing in cryptocurrency as an alternate discovery.
2040  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: May 05, 2023, 11:27:52 AM
Many out there won't still learn from this real life story as we are going keep getting such related stories over and over again. This is because everyone want to get rich at all cost, they want to live the great luxurious houses, have flamboyant cars and cruises etc, all pointing to be part of the very rich few at the top of the pyramid.

What blinds their reasoning so much, that I am yet to understand, is that, they think most of these rich people at the top of the pyramid made it there in a twinkle of an eye, never minding that it must have taken years of work, maybe decades or more for these guys to have earned such a life.

Imbibing the idea of getting rich quick cam only lead us to more trouble that we can ever imagined. And it's this inclination and crave to get rich quick that drum many into taking risk with money or assets that are not theirs with the hope that their plans might work out they get to return back the money is one piece. But when reality hits, the consequence is devasting for sure.
