Let me explain what's happening to those too stupid to work it out for themselves (i.e. most of you).

Deprived, is this another drunkmail?

He is on an awareness crusade against the evil forces of exchange rates, and he is only taking the righteous few with him on his conquest. He's off to RentalStarter next, i guess.  Wink

I suggest we refer this whole matter to the Bitcoin Foundation. Using foul language does not help. We need a third party to arbitrate for us.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177827.msg3054081#msg3054081

Ive seen Coindesk refer to individual posts before, so im sure this matter will be further published. Also, LetsTalkBitcoin would im sure, welcome a spokesperson to talk about whats being played out on this thread.
2023  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: August 30, 2013, 05:06:16 PM
Time to speculate. Long term speculating here.

I think in 6 months there will be 6-10 large mining operations that account for 10-15% of the network hashrate.  I think this is the logical course that's developing currently.

That being said I think only companies that can produce their own chips, or have access to a supply of incoming chips will be left as one of those 6-10 players.  Eventually the arms race will end and those players will be the only ones remaining.

I also think ACTM will be one of them I see no reason why they wouldn't.

Highly recommend listening to the latest edition of LetsTalkBitcoin, that discusses this. Even Sir Gavin, has an opinion.

My thinking is that if we keep calling him, leaving him voicemails and pressuring him to address the issues he will step up.

How long before he changes phone number?

spiccioli

that number stopped forwarding a while ago, since people are so hell bend on thinking we are selling chips to somebody in china first I'll address that.

there is a lot of people who bought chips purely for reselling, however the stock is 10k or so at most like all the other orders. I hope people did not think only people outside of china bought Avalon chips. ( out of the 800k chips, more than 50% are chinese orders.)

In addition, these resellers only have small quantity of chips ( since we didn't ship that many yet.) whether is alibaba or the chinese forums, I'd love to see anyone make a large purchase from these "resellers", because they simply do not have the chips, despise what they may advertise.

In other news, we are shipping as per usual like our last update and are doing the best we could but probably simply going to offer full refund soon, I am tired of this toxic community malformed by greed.

Wow man. I thought you were a level headed guy at the bitcoin conference.

But that statement takes the cake.

QUESTION: Who stood to benefit the most from AVALON chip and rig sales?

ANSWER: You and your team.

He has conclusively secured a future where those words are going to be Royally rammed, right back down his throat, where ever he shows his sorry arse.

2025  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: August 30, 2013, 09:41:45 AM
Whats going on with the price?  Huh

Just not enough buying interest at the moment, for the people wanting to lock in some profits.
We will be seeing August revenue/divs in a few days, so hopefully that will attract new/more interest. Also, the 'sell' button issue, can hopefully be resolved by Ascension soon.
2026  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 30, 2013, 06:56:27 AM
okay I'm out of the loop, no news article, no central place for news

something something Avalon refund seen on multiple sources, something something ActM price drop, something something these are related

whats the news, PM me?

Through lack of meaningful progress and explanation, people are losing confidence in ActM's ability to realise and maintain 'value', amidst the quickly changing ASIC landscape, IMO.

2027  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 29, 2013, 08:34:55 AM
Can someone explain to me what has happened? Wondering why the share price has become so volatile & getting confused reading back through the thread...

The price will decline every day until there is actual news regarding the eAsic deal. People are starting to dump shares because they have had enough with the "NDA covers everything" excuse and are living in a climate of fear given the recent labcoin scare.

Cool - thanks both.

If it makes any difference, I'm loving the bulk dumps... I've tripled my ActM holding in the past 24 hours...
I'd love to know "WHY"

Ken's update is nothing short of insulting.

Tend to agree, and has instilled enough doubt for me to sell what i had.  Sad  I just feel ActM now have more issues regarding positioning in the market and timing, and i see no evidence, method, or reasoning from Ken/ActM, that says to me i should still carry faith. To much faith for my comfort levels at this point.

However, will be watching and hoping this deal does come good, and hope my arm doesnt get yanked off trying to get back on the leaving train, IF its meaningful news.

Price is going up! Looks like it's sitting at an all time high of 0.033BTC!

A couple of option plays are available as well.
2029  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 28, 2013, 01:04:02 PM
Wasn't it supposed to be 6Th worth of chips? Do we know what happened to the rest of the chips? I wonder if there's a serious yield problem. 130nm is so mature at this point that yields should be very predictably high.

No explanation.

See how easy that was of LC, just brushing aside 30-50% of what was expected. Share price says confidence is waning.
2030  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 28, 2013, 12:35:46 PM
Also by comparison AsicMiner is approx 60,000,000mhs/400,000 = 150mhs /share

150mhs/.4mhs = 375x valuation

2.8btc/375 = .0074 price per share of labcoin

If LC is to be compared to AM, then im finding it hard to accept that LC only has to double in price from here (0.0035), to be as valuable as a company that has dictated and led this market (yes, thats changing), and with a demonstrable track record. Doesnt add up to me, until hardware is evident and put to work, which AM has been doing before LC was a twinkle in someones eye.

2032  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2013, 07:42:46 AM
Ken or the PR guy, can you answer few simple questions:

1) Is Active Mining on schedule or not? "Yes" or "No" will suffice
2) If the answer to question 1 is "No", how many days is Active Mining behind the schedule?

None of this is under NDA so lets ask again!

1) Is Active Mining on schedule or not? "Yes" or "No" will suffice

Hmm.. maybe Ken loves pink, big friendly letters?

Just in case:

Come on ACTM/board/PR, whos got the bollocks to answer this?
2033  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2013, 07:21:55 AM
So, the 'board' set-up was a good idea was it? For who?
Personally, the way the 'board' are choosing to say very little is sad to see. It seems that the only kind of info this thread will ever receive from ACTM in the future, is good news, as they/ACTM, seem petrified of saying anything at all, let alone any set-backs, or re-scheduling. Quite pathetic really.

Sorry board, its simply not acceptable to cower behind an NDA anymore, when people want to see their input, time, and money, at work.

I can see Peter's "....dive right in" remark, used as a mantra for a period of time. Ive already managed to use it.....

Another sales update:       'August 2013 Sales as of 08-26-2013 2:00 PM - $404,839.67! Number of orders so far this month 2,336'

So, August sales will come in ~+30% on July.  Shocked

As Peter Vessenes says "..........dive right in" !

Speaking of btc-e troll boxes. It must be jumping, some big sells in the litecoin market with interesting resistance.

Odd. Not seeing those spikes here.......  http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/ltcusd

Let's hope it will be like: "buy on the rumor, buy more on the news" Smiley

That will depend on how much greed is out there, currently. I certainly dont see fear yet.
