Where do you guys see BTC if UK leaves?

Jupiter ...

But Brexist ... HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! ... 51.4% Out - 48.6% In from a count of 70%+ of the votes counted!

This is going to be a global catastrophe!  Shocked

*Edit: 51.1% Out - 48.9% In

Perhaps a better measure would be Ladbrokes' 'probometer': https://sports.ladbrokes.com/sports-central/uk-eu-referendum/

It was leaning towards in, now leaning towards out.

LTC as in the community, or the LA, or the devs, or all of the above?

I should think as in the price, at which it isn't doing too well at all. LTC/BTC is heading for its ATL around 580k sat.

funny how often you and I think alike.

I'll give you the card to my therapist  Wink

As long as it doesn't turn into a long term bear market where that was the turning point - the final high of bitcoin EVER - and where it drifts down to zero from here, we'll be ok  Wink

That would be about the worst outcome, i.e. that this was the next bubble. I'm expecting consolidation now in the 500 to 700 range as a base for the true bubble though, fingers crossed.
2025  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 23, 2016, 01:40:37 AM
So at what point can we call this a crash instead of just a "bullish correction"?  lol

$500

Heh, isn't it just. Wink
2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: June 22, 2016, 09:33:26 PM
I did shorted for too low and had to close it when the it got a little out of hand. A very complex scenario really with BTC going down and completely illogical things happening (ETH at almost $15 last night!). Anyway, my whole ETH involment didn't really bring me many riches because in crypto it's impossible to play the waves right unless you get really lucky or have insider info which I don't.

I'm all in BTC now, I expect more dumping, then a huge pump prior to the Halvening, after that I don't really know what will happen, if miners go out of business it may be the end of Bitcoin for real. I think Ethereum only survived this disaster (for now) because of the miners support, it should be $4-5 or even less.

Crypto can be a crazy place, that's for sure. I've a short open now from .0225, so lets see how this goes. I can't see it doing better relative to BTC for a while after what happened.

Good luck with your BTC position. Personally I think BTC might head into the 500s prior to the halving, with a post-halving (post-segwit?) rally.

Of course phrasing it 'issues with severs' makes it much more palatable to you BTC Spoetniktard goon shills. To everyone else it's called an 'ongoing hack'.

So now every network outage automatically means hack? Then I guess the Nasdaq was "hacked" too, huh?

Good volume and panic buying - it should have put in the top now.
You mean .0239 or the rebound that is happening from the sell-off just now?

.0239 Smiley

maybe that was the plan from the start...

Doesn't sound like a great plan to me.
2032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: June 22, 2016, 03:10:21 AM
I'm shorting, I hope I can remain solvent because I'm not sure how much higher I can leave my short open!

You don't want to have shorted it from too low, as there's still some potential upside. On the other hand, the current run has hit the trend line from 0.008 to ~0.015, so this could turn form support into resistance now:

Next natural pit stop after that would be 0.022.

//edit: well, they're pumping it like a bitch now lol.
2033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 22, 2016, 01:44:43 AM
you guys know da word on da street is 400! After a shot at 800$

Ask Mrpumpetis ...Cheers Pump mister Smiley

We didn't just spend half a year consolidating to break back down to $400 without consequence.

And the rebound. The return to normalcy - the 'everything is fine', the 'everything is fixed' phase. It shan't last...

Bitcoin was hardforked in 2010 and 2013.

It's not really about forking, it's about undoing transactions that you dislike. If you're gong to do this then fine, but don't call contracts immutable or code unstoppable. Furthermore, don't brag about disintermediation of the legacy system - arbitration at the court of the Foundation belies it.

p.s. Those were technically and strictly not hard forks.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2016, 10:36:54 PM

Unlike back then, now some people are bound to dump their btc at the slightest sign of bubble (like that one.) bursting.

People like to think that they're older and wiser now, but they're always going to be prone to mania and squealing 'this time it's different'. Human nature doesn't change. And perhaps one day it will be different. Not yet though.

The only people who will be dumping at the key moments are the ice men who are above such things and will always be with us pulling the strings.

It's ironic how they cannot see that their actions mirror the actions of players in the previous bubbles. Oh well, more coin for the icemen. Wink

There is nothing funny in The DAO "attack"

If the DAO puffs itself up as a corporation, I do think it pretty funny when it's revealed that its assets are stored in something as secure as a kid's piggie bank.

I also find it funny when its participation rate is some 2%, lol...
2038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2016, 12:39:41 AM
google searches??

I tried that but the best google could do was link to tzupy's image and say the best guess is that it's a diagram.

lol no, he means google trends dude.
2039  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2016, 12:31:49 AM
It would be highly surprising if we don't experience a bullish correction during this rally. I have the top at 789.78 on finex. We are hovering in the 750's.

I have bids at ~614 (50%) and ~572 (61.8%). They may not get hit which is fine. No one ever went bankrupt taking profit. Keeping a close eye in case i have to pile back in :-)

If you zoom the charts out, from the ATH to the post-bubble lows, we've now hit the 0.618 fib line on most exchanges. Definitely the potential for a reversal here, and I haven't thought that at any point previously in this rally. If we can break 800 we should be good though.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: DAO Attacker Identified!! on: June 19, 2016, 05:17:45 PM
The vulnerability was open sourced before he did it thus apparently no insider information was used! Even the developers of DAO had a patch but didn't push through with it.

It is so unbelieveable, but I can't make this stuff up.

While the patch fixed the vulnerability in one part of the code, amazingly it overlooked the same vulnerability in another part, and it was there that it could be (and was) exploited to drain funds.

One ponders have they no find in files in their IDE?
