2024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Invest? on: August 09, 2017, 12:54:18 AM
Ive found a very Promising PRE-ICO which is called TheRomanLegionToken. It looks very good but I've only ever invested in 3 ICO's and I don't know that much about it. If someone has any input then that would be very helpful. Thanks Smiley

Here is the link to the Pre-ICO - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073839.0

LOL... four minutes passed between the original post and his purchase.  Also, only 100 tokens are getting created so I doubt it'll get listed on any major exchanges because it'd be a liquidity nightmare.  I'm not sure why anyone would invest in this other than having a token related to the Roman military.

Don't invest! This is definitely going to be another shitcoin.

Be investment wise don't just go and throw your money on every ICO like that.
2025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Ethereum apps? on: August 09, 2017, 12:46:59 AM
There are so many Ethereum apps now.

Which are the best ones?

My best 3 wallets for Ether

1. Coinbase Wallet

2. Exodus Wallet

3. Jaxx Wallet

You may check them out to see which one works for you the best.
2026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What websites are legitimate resellers of bitmain products? on: August 09, 2017, 12:42:28 AM
Well, for that you may go to: Amazon, eBay, or Alibaba.

And find the resellers with high reputations and buy it from them.
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the Most Powerful Computer on Earth Hack Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2017, 11:59:15 PM
Let me avoid the technical aspects to make things easy for all readers.

So someone said that America's NSA has this great computer(quantum computer) that could easily hack Bitcoin private keys. I really doubt his claim but I know for sure that certain computers  like the most powerful Super Computers are within the reach of some of this Intelligence organizations.
Do you think such computers can crack any security codes put in place to make Bitcoin very secure?

First off, before we get any further. quantum computing is nothing but huge computational potential perceived by mathematicians and computer scientists. So, people read papers and think quantum computing may one day decyper every encrypted documents which is wrong. quantum computing is a field of learning and building very advanced and powerful computers that are not yet fully developed. It may take 15-20 years or more before these computers are ready. and even when they are ready they can't decrypt every transaction on Blockchain network. Smiley
2028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you buy Bitcoins if you could choose? on: August 08, 2017, 11:46:58 PM
In some countries there are Bitcoin machines where you can exchanghe Cash and Bitcoin. Would you use this machine or rather buy your Bitcoins in the Internet?  Roll Eyes

If I were to choose between bitcoin machine and the internet, I'll choose internet because it's fast and more reliable compare to Bitcoin machine. People are more familiar with buying bitcoins using internet, I think using bitcoin machine would be harder for them compare to buying bitcoins via internet on websites like Coinbase.
2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: August 07, 2017, 11:17:35 PM
The only thing that will kill bitcoin is turning off the internet "Internet Total Shutdown" which is not possible. So, because of that nothing will kill bitcoin. Grin
2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: August 07, 2017, 11:02:48 PM
Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

If you are holding a lot of bitcoins, go with Hardware wallet If you are planning to use them from time to time otherwise go with Paper wallets for long term storage. Desktop wallet such as Electrum can be a good choice If you can't really afford a hardware wallet.

Well for me, I prefer online wallets rather than offline ones because online services like Xapo & Blockchain.info provides the best security and yet easy to use, user friendly and has "2 factor authentication" security. And they are not going anywhere anytime soon because they are here to stay.
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: August 07, 2017, 10:54:39 PM
Are you currently putting all your money into bitcoin?  If you say this, you show you believe it by your actions.  I am putting all my money into bitcoin - I see a possibility of $50-$100+ per coin this year.  Just think, once the "bankers" and hedge funds find out about this, we are going to the moon.  Once my bitcoins are $1,000+ I will be able to pay off my growing college loans and maybe get an apartment, and my first car Smiley

What a dream? see this guy was talking just like a year ago and now see his dream turned to reality. Smiley
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question for Bitcoin holders about BitcoinCash on: August 06, 2017, 05:35:25 PM
When the blockchain hard forked, I did not care about splitting my coins. But when I saw it was trading at more than $500, I decided to split them later and to wait for the price to go higher. But the price dived and now I regret it.

What about the rest of you, have you already dumped?

Sometimes it better to hold your coins rather than selling them in an awful low price. The price of BCH might go higher but nobody know exactly when that is going happen. If I were you I'll hold my BCH for now and see what the market may have to do in the following weeks. You got the BCH for free what you go to lose, anyway? Just hold your coins for a while and see the outcome in the coming weeks, don't get panic for now. Smiley
2033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 500,000$ to invest on: August 06, 2017, 05:26:57 PM
where should i invest and why ?

Well, If I were you I'll invest 50% of that money in to bitcoins (which is $250,000)

And 25% in bitcoin mining and the last 25% invest it in Ethereum mining (i.e. $250,000)
2034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: August 06, 2017, 04:57:19 PM
Yes, wealthy people can make a difference :

~ If they convert some of their wealth into Bitcoin, the price will go up and everyone will benefit.
~ With Money comes power and influence - If Bill Gates say something good about Bitcoin, people listen.
~ Rich / popular people have resources that might improve Bitcoin. < They might pay developers to improve the code >
~ They have some influence with politicians. < Laws and regulations might be more positive towards Bitcoin >
~ They have influence with banks. < Banks are currently trying to sabotage Bitcoin >
~ They own most big businesses and might influence shareholders to accept Bitcoin in their Malls/shops/services.

So yes, they can have a huge impact on where Bitcoin can go in the future. ^smile^

If we speak about the Rothschild, Morgan's, Rockefeller's etc. then no, they control the banking system, they have no reason on using bitcoin, they never will. If we speak about self made millionaires and billionaires then yes and we already have some and we will continue to have more of them and that could always be a good publicity for bitcoin, enough with the ransomware stories.

Good observations here; Rich families and personalities has a lot to contribute to bitcoin market and community as well as they're more popular and smarter in the eyes of the people more especial in the financial world. People look at them as visionary in terms business or money investments, wherever they invest their money people want to invest their money too because they very good on investing on stock that turns out to best in terms of profit.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: August 06, 2017, 02:46:02 PM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

There are two best ways to save bitcoins that works for me:

1. Online wallets: Xapo & Blockchain; both wallets has 2FA security.

2. Hardware Wallets, Trezor & Ledger Nano; both wallets are secure and unhackable but you have to keep them in a secure place too because if you lose them you lose your bitcoins.

2036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: August 04, 2017, 05:12:30 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?

There are several ways to earn bitcoin online with no investment, starting from selling digital goods on the marketplace of this forum, or doing freelancing jobs on sites that pays out in bitcoin e.g. blocklencer, or you may try signature ads and altcoin bounties on this forum when you elevate your account by posting good content which you need at least "Member Ranking" then you may apply for Signature Ads or Bounty offer, so you may earn good amount of BTC for a starter.
2037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: August 04, 2017, 01:13:21 PM
The miners mine and hold, other mine and sell.

Investors and speculators buy, hold and sell.

You can buy random items in auctions and through the forums.

What are the reasons for the bulk of the bitcoin transfers? I read an article underlying the "dark side" of the internet and TOR network, and they seem to point out that bitcoins are now nearly the exclusive currency for the online "black market" (Note, they are not saying bitcoins are exclusively used for black market transactions)

What have you used bitcoins for?

Miner
Investor
Black Market
Other - explain

I use my bitcoins to buy things online like e-books, video training and pay for freelancing jobs on sites like codeclerks.
I also use my bitcoins for trading on some of the bitcoin exchange platforms. I like bitcoins a lot because whenever I get some I make a lot of profit. Smiley
2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: August 03, 2017, 03:50:31 PM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?

Well for me, I prefer investing more in to bitcoin and other crytocurrencies because they keep appreciating despite the market fluctuations. Bitcoin and altcoins provide a huge for opportunities for bitcoin holders because the more we hold our coins the more they appreciates in terms of worth and price.

2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the purpose of FBI seizure of BTC-e? on: August 03, 2017, 12:05:17 PM
I was curious about why FBI seized BTC-e. What is the reason behind the seizure of BTC-e by FBI?

I want to invest some serious money in to BTC & ETH and I don't want to lose my hard earned money to some funks called FBI.

Is American Government and FBI against the use of bitcoins and cryptocurrency or what Huh

The main reason is because btc-e was trying to clean the MtGOX stolen bitcoins. They are accused for $4 BILLIONS money-laundering.
And reserve blockchain analyze shown that most of hacked coins ended in BTC-E.

They will not open anytime soon...

Ok, nice! Smiley Now I get the clear image of what happened between the FBI & BTC-e.

I thought U.S government has started another fight with bitcoin industry in-general like what happened with Silk Road & Wikileaks.

Yesterday, I got scared because some guys here were posting about "POLONIEX SEIZURE" by U.S Government and I asked myself why?

That's why I asked the question here, and thank you for the answer. Smiley

2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: August 03, 2017, 11:53:30 AM
There is so much to like, where do I start? OK, I like the fact that no central authority can block my money, like the banks did with the Greek people. I also like the security it provides me, when I buy something online. Most of all, I like the low transaction fee on any deposit or withdraw I am making. ^Huge Grin^

Me too, I like bitcoin too much because it's decentralized, has more privacy, cheaper transaction fees and more. Bitcoin is unique the way people use it across the globe, you may buy things with  bitcoin in any country. Bitcoin provides the easiest way to send and receive money online or from one country to another. Bitcoin is the technology that people have been waiting for, for a long time and now it is the time for bitcoin to thrive! Smiley
