2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla: "We have converted approximately 75% of our BTC into fiat currency" on: July 23, 2022, 02:04:17 PM
Couldn't it be just another manipulative movement from Elon Musk to play with market's prices? He expects to be followed by big investors on his steps, so when he announces he is going to sell bitcoins or has sold bitcoins, others will simply do the same, dumping the price even more, therefore Tesla and Musk can buy bitcoin again much cheaper and increase their holdings, wealthy and influence.

Tesla has been accumulating bitcoin since a long time and it's hard to say what would be their average buying price.
May be it can be less than what they have sold for or may be it can be more than that.
But if they are thinking that by selling now they might get the opportunity to buy back lower then it's a huge risk for them.
Currently bitcoin price is holding steady at $22k and if BTC holds well then it might cross $25k soon.
Tesla might miss the boat to buy at a lower price and I think they should have sold above $40k itself to buy back lower.
2022  Economy / Gambling / Re: NFT BETTING CLUB- new and unique NFT collection on: July 23, 2022, 01:54:47 PM
NFT BETTING CLUB(NBC) is new and unique collection on Ethereum network.
It consists of 777 NFT-s which are entry tickets to closed Discord group which will provide best informations in betting world.
...

Since Discord is a centralized platform I believe there is no warranty that group will not eventually disappear or get closed in the future, undermining the only use of those NFT's your are promoting. Anyone interested in these NFT's please do your own reseach and be careful about this kind of services and its terms.

That's a valid point. In fact many NFT groups have been trying to do a rug pull everyday which makes us question NFT projects severely.
On the other hand, discord is the scammers playground so there are high chances that the discord channel might not last long.
Anyway, the concept of owning an NFT to join a betting group seems unique and I wish the project a success.

Anyone placing bets on bitcoin or ethereum price prediction this month ?
I am going in for ETH price bet as the returns are quite delicious.
But at the same time the market is highly volatile and it's tough to predict whether to go bullish or bearish for the price prediction.
2024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trading during bear market can save your portfolio on: July 22, 2022, 04:35:11 PM
...But again, things could have gone the other way around and so I am not complaining holding on to my coins because there's no loss until we sell at a loss....

Very often we learn about sale or buy by major players after the market has changed. An example of this is the sale of bitcoins in June by Tesla for $29000, which we learned about only yesterday after the publication of the company's financial report. In this case, it would be a good opportunity to buy back what was sold at a lower price.

May be they did buy bitcoins at $20k and may be that was the reason behind the current pump to $23k.
We never know what these large institutions are doing unless it is announced publicly.
All we can do is wait for such opportunities to dill our bags. We should try to buy whatever we can at such dumps.
Only then we can accumulate profits when the market go back bullish
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUD Has Finally Taken Its Toll on Me on: July 22, 2022, 04:27:52 PM

I would deny that because I think that younger generation is more aware of the pros and cons of cryptocurrencies.
So I think they might instead support cryptocurrencies and make it legal in their countries.
If I were a person of political power then I would definitely make crypto legal with some regulation that supports it's growth.
Where the government or anyone has no control over cryptocurrency even no one can control it in any way. In that case there is no end of bitcoin. If the government wants they can restrict it but does stop it. The Bitcoin market is currently in a bit bearish, but it is temporary. As it has been adapted by the younger generation its demand will always increase.

I agree with that. As long as the younger generation is interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole there will always be a demand for it.
Since bitcoin is decentralized there's nothing that can stop it. The governments can ofcourse regulate it or some can even ban it but they can't stop it functioning.
So as long as we all are here bitcoin is here to stay. Keep hodling.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 22, 2022, 04:21:06 PM
Hi everyone, about a month ago I made a post about having insider info for a soccer match and I asked the community what the best way was to take out a large loan. I had a lot of people advise me not to do so, so I took your advice and didn't take out a loan, instead I just placed the amount I already had in my account.

Anyway, the bet won easily so I couldn't help but feel like I should've taken out the loan... Sad

I wanted to share a match on here in case anyone wants to follow along, I'm unable to place a large bet on this so I'm hoping someone else takes advantage. I hope this isn't against any community guidelines.

You did a good thing by not taking the loan for gambling and I will tell you why. There are 2 outcomes that would have happened.

1. You would have lost the bet and hence you would have to pay back the loan with interest.
2. You would have won the bet and it would have boosted your confidence.
You would repeat the same thing again and keep taking loans for betting.
But then at one point you would lose a big bet which will cause you a big stake.
It would have caused a physical as well as mental damage to your health.
2027  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to make a telegram live betting group on: July 22, 2022, 03:51:04 PM
I don't think spammers and scammers are much of a problem and personally I wouldn't care too much about them - few good admins can get rid of them and keep the group clean.

I thought OP's idea was good and many users will be interested in it but after three months the tg group still have only 49 members and they are not very active (few posts a week!). So, it appears I was wrong and the community is not really interested n such projects.

I see that the group is currently having 51 members. Although I haven't joined the telegram group yet as you say few posts a week may be the reason why it is not attracting more people.
For any group to get popular it needs some kind of regular activity and if that doesn't happen then the group just dies in a couple of months.
So I think OP needs to bring in more activity and interaction so that the group gets more people in it.

I guess I am having some technical issue with freebitco.in.
I bought 2500 FUN tokens which is on the day of the database crash and for some reason my BTC were deducted by didn't receive the FUN tokens.
Thanks to TheQuin the issue was resolved and I got the FUN tokens in a few days.
But I haven't received any WoF spins since 9th and I digged up the transaction history today to find out a refund of 2500 FUN tokens.
The premium benefits page is showing 2 levels which must be for the FUN tokens I bought but I am not getting an additional WoF psin.
I used to get 3 spins earlier and it's still the same.
Has anyone else faced this issue ?

2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUD Has Finally Taken Its Toll on Me on: July 21, 2022, 03:46:43 PM
Three weeks ago, I liquidated 10k from my stock portfolio into my bank account. My plan was to dump it into Bitcoin as soon as it dipped under 17k. But now, for the first time since I got into crypto investing in 2017, I'm having major doubts.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Bitcoin has a long-term future, now that much of the world's nations are caught up in this 'climate' hysteria, and want to ban proof-of-work protocols, like Bitcoin, which they claim is harmful to the environment.

For example, the EU recently held a vote to ban proof-of-work mining across member nations*. Thankfully, the vote failed, but this wasn't the first time they attempted it, and I don't think it'll be the last. Eventually, as younger and more 'progressive' individuals enter positions of political power in Europe, my guess is that they'll succeed. And, once they do, the other chimpanzees in countries around the world will follow them, potentially causing the demise of our beloved cryptocurrency.

Thoughts?

2030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gets more attention on: July 21, 2022, 03:41:00 PM
We have heard of several countries that are embracing BTC, and even in it's falling state, some want to partake of it. It's quite an impressive initiative that the Swiss Post office, through it's banking arm, PostFinance, are taking to offer crypto services to it's customers in response to their demands for it.
The plan to introduce this service will be the first of its kind as it aind to independent from other banks and operations will begin from 2024.
Despite it's fall from it's all time high price of 69,044.77 in Nov of 2021, the need to venture into cryptocurrency was necessitated by citizen's demands.
 .

Our clients want direct access to this market through their house bank. Given the growing institutionalisation [of cryptocurrencies] in the last 18 months, this is the ideal time to enter the market, Sandra Lienhart, head of retail banking has this to say.
This move will go a long way to helping Bitcoin go global and I expect to see more people who were less welcoming of it to have a change of heart. What do y'all think of this? Your thoughts. https://finbold.com/swiss-post-office-to-offer-crypto-trading-and-custody-services-by-2024/

It feels good every time to see bitcoin being adopted at various places.
Although the adoption rate is very low for now, I hope it increases and is widely adopted throughout the globe.
The fact that this news is coming at the times of a bear market is more surprising and contributes toward a positive correction.
2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin manage to grow over time? on: July 21, 2022, 03:34:28 PM
In the given list the most important factors that I consider as a threat to bitcoin are the cost of production and regulation.
I wouldn't say media coverage because in this world of internet almost everyone is socially connected and the news are spread instantly across the globe.
Whether it be a positive or negative news the coverage is across the globe.
On the other hand the cost of production and regulation are real threats to bitcoin which causes a correction every time it impacts bitcoin.
All the other factors drives the price of bitcoin upwards.

In my opinion, the government is the biggest threat to bitcoin's growth, if all governments regulate or ban it, then bitcoin's growth and popularity will be hampered. The government is a significant influence on many people's thoughts, if they declare bitcoin as a valuable asset, people will definitely rush to buy bitcoin but if it is declared illegal, people will surely take precautions and don't use bitcoin even just to try.

Don't you think that's an irony. Bitcoin was created just so that people can own their money and become aware of the fact that how centralized the traditional fiat system is.
Governments are controlling it and bitcoin was created so that the government doesn't control it.
So in a way, bitcoin was to be adopted by the people without the approval of government at first place.
So even if the government declare bitcoin as a valuable asset or not, it's value will and should be derived by the people demand.
2032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: July 20, 2022, 04:04:34 PM
Currently, the market is falling almost everyday and just as when we think that prices are recovering the market falls further.
So as per the current situation it is best to hold whatever we have and wait for the prices to settle.
We will have to wait until the bottom is reached and a reverse trend starts and may be then we can think of start investing again.

Every day the crypto market is moving a little bit, when the market goes up it seems like a bull run has started but in reality it is not. Right now I see no option but to wait for the crypto market to go downIf you invest in this situation then the possibility of loss is high so to avoid loss you should wait for the market to go down.

Looks like we are seeing some mild gains this week. It's good to see the market go green after so many days.
I hope the rally doesn't stop below $30k but at the same time we all know that a correction is incoming.
May be we will see a correction next week or just before bitcoin touches the $30k target.
2033  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 20, 2022, 04:02:30 PM
snip

If we go through the history then we can find that, in Hinduism, gambling started much before the Mahabharat which started around 3139 BC.
In fact, gambling had a major role in the cause of the great war. So we can say that gambling has it's roots at ancestral level.
It's mind boggling to see how much gambling has evolved.
And there were some cruel incident attached to the gambling as well. Like barter deal - giving goats and other animals or even the daughters/ women.
The gambling was and is the game which excites the people a lot. There were many ways how it evolved. But it did.
is this really involving in gambling ? animals and even Daughters? in what kind of gambling was this for them to bet their love ones? I am interested in this to understand because indeed there are addictions and hard times in gambling but to use people as bet? that is not a best interest lol.

Yes that did happen. Back in those days people used to bet their wives too which is like insane.
At least that's not happening these days or may be it is  Huh But this shows how corrupt our minds can be if we over gamble.
So gambling is a responsible thing and it should certainly be in our limits.

Hi TheQuin,

Although I have received the FUN tokens in my freebitco.in account for some reason the premium benefits have not been activated yet.
I saw the FUN tokens yesterday in my account so thought to wait for 24 hours just in case the benefits take that much time to be activated.
But it's been more than 24 hours now and I don't see any email regarding the premium benefits nor an increase in WoF spins I receive everyday.
Not complaining but just asking the status on this and how long it might take for the benefits to be activated.

TheQuin went to the forum, did he solve your problem? Share here with other users. Everyone is worried about the solvency of freebitco.in

The problem isn't solved yet since the premium benefits are not activated yet but I feel it's okay.
May be freebitco.in is having some technical issues at their end and we should probably be patient and wait for them to fix it.
Complaining won't help here. It's better to stay calm until freebitco.in is back on track.

2035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many people become binance futures full time traders as job on: July 17, 2022, 01:42:20 PM
Now many people becomes binance full tome time fututrs trader as full time.
Its a good full time job reasons:
All ur earnings on binance debit card instant.
U dont need to go anywhere u cam even do job with smart phone.
I think kids should also learn that in school instead of useless things but good job how to make decent incone without going anywhere or over work.

Also binance is center of crypto without binance i have no idea how to deal with crypto they can close down all other exchangers but if binance stays then crypto stays.
Binance has most logical futures trading facolity for tge futures long short workers.

Maby people now choose to become binance futures trader as full time income.

I must say that the most amount of losses made in crypto are from futures and options trading.
So I would definitely recommend that kids should be made to learn futures trading.
They can be given an insight of trading and awareness on financial management but not trading futures.
That is something of an individuals choice and should be learn only if the person is willing to take risks.
2036  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Prompt safe staking with good APY on: July 17, 2022, 01:39:38 PM
Good afternoon, everyone, no matter how I tried to find entertainment for myself in this market, I cant do anything, I even started trading with leverage, etc. I lost a lot of money in such a bear market and I want to calm down a little, I heard that there are options to earn big money on bets in different liquidity pools and staking, I want to know where you can find a platform that will show the best percentages for betting and liquidity. It is desirable that a verified site or platform, otherwise it was enough for me to get into a couple of scam pools and I no longer want to lose my money, if there are options with different percentages I will be glad to see and read thanks

If you no longer want to lose money then it will be better for you to stay away from betting because you will surely lose money in it.
Staking is a safer way to go but then again you have to be really smart on which coin you want to stake.
The safest way would be to buy bitcoin or ether and then hold it for a long term.
This might be time consuming but at least you won't lose money unless you sell your coins for a loss.
2037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 17, 2022, 01:31:46 PM
Seems like people are accumulating coins at lower prices and transferring to wallets.
This seems like a good news to me because the more number of people hold coins in non-custodial wallets the lesser chances of a dump.
This is directly contributing to a hold mentality and will lead to a pump in the near future.
Also, holding coins in an exchange is bad all together since it more or or less contributes to panic sell at times of a dump.

I believe the ops is nit talking about altcoins storage, the member is talking about the increase in hardware demand.

Why do you think that there's an increase in hardware demand ?
It's probably because people either people want to transfer their existing coins to a hardware wallet or buy more coins and then transfer them to a hardware wallet.
All in all they are planning on to hold their coins for a long term which is why the demand in hardware wallet is rising.

Quote
But the most confusing part of this thread is that the record on the article does not include another personal wallet usage,  because that wallet also provides high security that can only be accessed by the owner with the private keys just like the ledger wallets too.

What do you mean by personal wallets? If you mean non-custodial wallets then it's because hardware wallets are more secure than non-custodial wallets.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 17, 2022, 01:27:50 PM
To be honest, the martingale strategy really sucks when you are playing a luck based game.
The amount of losses considering the house edge will eat up all your balance in your account.
But since you mentioned that you are playing black jack which involve skills then it also depends on how good you are at the game.
If you think you are pretty good at the game then you can try your luck with this strategy.
I would recommend to go for it but with smaller amounts and gradually increase your base bets after a few consecutive wins.
2039  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chasing a x330,000 - Update: i hit it! on: July 17, 2022, 01:24:13 PM
Wow, that's really insane.

@seoincorporation

Could you tell us what were the total amount of bets you placed to land at this multiplier.
Also, the total amount you spent in order to win this multiplier.
This will give us an idea about your risk to reward ratio.

16xypjnxlrew is just a moronic troll. I put on ignore months ago and I'd recommend you all do the same. You'll never get back the time you waste reading his posts.

Can someone please explain this to me ?
I just bought 2500 FUN tokens on 9th of this month but it is 12th today and it's still not showing the tokens on premium member benefits page.

The 9th was the day that we had a database crash. Some buys/sells, deposits and withdrawals from that day aren't reflected in users' balances. PM me your user ID and I'll pass it on to wetsuit for him to fix it.

Also just a general point. Some people got emails about saving redeems being credited but they are just duplicates of old redemptions caused by the database restore process. Nothing is actually missing from those.

Thanks for the reply. I have sent you a PM with my user id in it.
Just asking, will I get the credit of WoF spins from 10th or will it just start over by tomorrow may be.

Hi TheQuin,
