I would also be interested in running a pool where you predict the correct scores of each game like on the BBC Premier League Predictor but can't find a website that will do that so far. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

How about official FIFA World Cup match score predictor?
https://predictor.fifa.com

Perfect. We'll do both and then just add the points together.

Yes.

The topic title says "GUARANTEED PROFIT" is it real? Huh

If something says it's guaranteed then you cleary can't lose. A guarantee is a bond. AND it's endorsed by several respectable members.

Whats really hapening here? is tis project real or a scam or what. the comments from respected members of bitcoin talk is confusing me, why is bitcoin talk endorsing this coin if there is so much negative comment here. Will be better to say the truth so that people take the project serious or leave it totally. thank you all good people of bitcointalk

And what's the lesson to be learned from this?
2047  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to post same thread in different forum? on: May 23, 2018, 11:48:15 AM
You can post in both, though the one in your local board should probably be in the local language.
what if both board are English boards? It is allowed to post same thread on both boards?

Depends on the thread, but there's probably few good reasons to have two topics in different boards (though you can have threads in both the main Marketplace and alt Marketplace for instance).

This one?

Would like to hear some thoughts on ICO's. Their current status, how they conduct their current marketing (Which I believe to be poor). Will ICO's continue in the same vein? And how do you judge whether an ICO could be a good investment or not?

For the benefit of the topic please try not to overload your thoughts with ICO's where tokens are still for sale and turn this into ICO bukake session Smiley

My experience is only through two that I have bought into, neither of which are at an exchange yet. I'm excited about one and think I made a mistake on the other. I read up on both quite a lot, joined the telegram thing which I find a complete mess. So many claim to be part of a "community" when reality will dictate that they'll sell the moment it goes onto the exchange and they make a quick profit.

I digress. After reading about both for some time I decide to go with them for the long term. One quite heavy, the other not so. I felt the most important part of the ICO was what the product was, could it go mainstream and could it avoid being a flash in the pan. I paid a little attention to the "teams" but feel most advisors were perhaps being brought onboard more for promotional and marketing reasons than actual advice.

I also found that the deeper I dug the more worrying things I found about them, some claimed to have registered physical addresses but they were simply virtual offices where you would be lucky to fit 3 people in let alone 150, or some that suggested they had a legal team in place yet no one on their "team" had any legal experience nor qualifications.

It's these type of things that show up as red flags for me. Would love to hear thoughts of others?
2050  Other / Meta / Re: Will I rank down if I give merit to someone? on: May 23, 2018, 08:15:47 AM
No. Merit and sMerit are different (sendable merit). You can't lose or spend the merit you've earned.

----------------

Does anyone want to join in a gambling pool for the upcoming FIFA World Cup? I previously ran one for last year's Premier League
here which was a great success, but I am looking to organise one for the upcoming FIFA tournament and next year's Premier League now.

World Cup:

We will probably be using the two predictors on the Official FIFA Website for the World Cup. One is roughly the same as the Premier League where you pick the correct scores for every game and the other is a bracket challenge where you guess how teams will place in the group stage and then how they progress through the tournament and various points are awarded for predicting each. At the end of the tournament we will add both scores together and the winner will obviously be the person who gets the most total.

Bracket challenge is here if you wanna check it out: https://bracketchallenge.fifa.com/

SCORING SYSTEM

Quote
Group Stage Scoring

Correctly predict a Group winner: 10 points
    Correctly predict a Group Runner-Up: 10 points
Correctly predict the top two teams (in any order): 3 points
Correctly predict the entire group in the correct order: 15 points

Knockout Stage Scoring

For each correct team in the Quarter-Finals: 3 points
For each correct team in the Semi-Finals: 4 points
For each correct team in the Final: 5 points
For the correct World Cup 2018 Winner: 10 points
For the correct World Cup 2018 Runner-up: 8 points
Correctly predict a fixture (both correct teams and the correct position in the bracket): 10 points

Score Predictor: https://predictor.fifa.com

Quote
Points and Scoring
For each match, points are awarded for:

    Predicting the correct scoreline;
    Predicting the correct result;
Predicting the correct margin of victory; and
Predicting the correct number of goals scored.

For each points category listed above (excluding number of goals scored) you will earn a score between 1 to 100 points (the exact amount awarded will depend on the number of other participants who also made the correct prediction). The lower the number of participants who make a correct prediction, the more points will be awarded.

A guide to the number of points which can be earned for each prediction is displayed on the FIFA World Cup™ Match Predictor page under each prediction bracket. Points will be updated 'live' while the match is in progress.

Bonus Points
You will only be able to answer bonus questions once the line-ups have been announced, from around 60 minutes before the match in question begins until kick-off.

For each correctly answered bonus question, you will earn an additional 30 points.

Joker
For every 2018 FIFA World Cup™ matchday, you can assign one prediction to be your joker. A correct joker prediction will result in any points awarded for that match being doubled!

The fee will again probably be around £25 in bitcoin to join the pool and it will probably be a winner takes all format. I will probably do a couple runner up prizes as well but this depends on how many people join in. The Premier League pool attracted 23 players paying out prizes for the top five places so hopefully we can do something similar with this but we have less than a month to organise it.

If you're willing to join in the pools at around £25 in bitcoin then please state your interest and what pool you'd like to join in this thread. Thanks.

Yes.
2053  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Available for rent on: May 21, 2018, 07:07:29 AM

Probably I am not the right person to suggest you, but how about enrolling in promising altcoin/token signature campaigns. Yes, it is very very difficult to find a good alt worth promoting, but I think if you get one, then the payouts are much better than Bitcoin sig. campaigns. In the past I have done Hashrush, Storm, Sapien and currently I am doing this Omnitude. And the total value of these tokens is much much higher than I would have got in a good Bitcoin signature campaign.

Between, your sig space deserves so much more than $100 per month. I know money is probably not your target, but any project partnering with you benefits a lot. If you want, I can contact some project devs about your signature space.

I don't really want to take the risk on tokens that could end up being worthless. I'm open to ICOs but most of them just seem like scams with only a pipe dream and some pretty pictures.

I would give you .110btc for the rest of the year. Current bitcoin value of 935$ 133$ a month is the breakdown. Let me know via pm if interested. This would be from June 1st to Dec 31st 2018.

We can work out any details in private but i'm ok with upfront payment of course.

I'll take the offer into consideration. Thanks.

.

Are the moderators here are all hardcore-pro-christians and biased in a way?

Nobody makes fun of JC on my watch.

It would help if you posted the deleted message and what thread it was removed from. Posts aren't (or at least shouldn't) be removed just because somebody disagrees with it or finds it offensive but it could have broken the rules in some other way (the thread was necrobumped by a spammer etc).

I tried nuking him but it says that the 'user is protected' for some reason. Banned him but still going to take some time to remove all the posts manually.

No, the magical forum elves and satoshi.
2060  Economy / Services / Signature Available for rent on: May 17, 2018, 12:02:43 PM
The future of my current Coinroll campaign looks uncertain so I've decided to offer my signature up for rent. I currently get around $300 per month on Coinroll but have been offered a deal of $180 a month for it so you would have to beat the latter if interested, but I am reluctant to leave my current campaign until it is in fact confirmed over. I would prefer an upfront fee for a longer term deal i.e. 6-12 months etc but am open to offers or deals with specific terms. I prefer payment in Ethereum or Bitcoin but I will also accept, Litecoin & Bitcoin Cash. Feel free to PM me with your offer. Thanks.
