Now in a serious note, I think new users should not be allowed to post scam accusations in this forum until they become a high ranked member or have some other type of protection so newbies won't be able to do what they did in the past few weeks.
Theymos would never do this. Its counter-productive. Newbies are the most likely to be scammed and taken advantage of hence the need for them to be able to state their case here. People should probably just start ignoring all the newbie trolls though.

I do not know from where the reports are coming but I imagine someone who recently got banned is trying to report all my posts. I had one deleted post in May and another in March. I think there is a big gap in between these two deleted posts. On average we can say one post per month getting deleted. But within last weeks after I had reported an user as probable AI, I am having a lot of my old posts deleted. Will I be banned for such deleted posts? May be I had spam posts in the past and they are being deleted now. Will mod consider me as spammer? Just saying, some of my deleted posts are not spam at all. They were on topic, not repetitive and of course something new which no one added before my post.
I didn't remove them but one user has been reporting a lot of 'spam' posts from a fair few users. You likely won't be banned for it, especially it it was long ago. You need to be consistently posting crap to get a ban for that and leniency will likely be show for old posts that have gone overlooked.

It's a threat for sure, but maybe not a death thread. Maybe he wanted to harness the power of the sun with a magnifying glass and burn you that way? Seriously though, just report it especially if he's been banned for this sort of stuff before.

Update: both reports marked as "Good". Global Mod posted in both topics: Please only bump your thread once every 24 hours. And 25 minutes later both spammers bumped their topic: bump Let's report them again And they were both banned shortly after that. Probably using a bot to make the bumps as they obviously didn't read or even acknowledge my post. Reporting users who abuse rule of bumps once per 24 hours and who not delete old bumps is something that I personally almost gave up, because in my experience none of the users received any penalty other than the eventual deletion of posts. In this case users Lols601 and Storm66 are not very intelligent with their bumps, some do it in a much smarter way by creating alt accounts from time to time, which then are not easy to prove are really alt accounts.
I always give them a temp ban if they ignore my warning, just as above.

Noone can sign and verify this address as it was my havelock investments wallet.. I just checked and the website has been taken down so im assuming the company might have gone under. But I do still have ownership of the wallet 13uAZdE6Ubqcqznro1cQqozj1ggtFibixU and others on there that the havelock wallet address mentioned, has made many transactions with from 2014 and 2015 on the blockchain. Will send the message anyway and see how it goes. Would be good to have my old account back one day, im not in any rush Account spartan82 most likely changed ownership on November 6, 2017 (see Seclog) and was banned on December 26, 2018 (see BPIP). November 08, 2017, 08:03:05 PM - u=106038 - spartan82 - password changed November 06, 2017, 08:31:36 AM - u=106038 - spartan82 - woke up The original account holder lived in Australia and often used Bitcoin address 1GMArUyd34aqU5HnyDKFFaQgNtkvqCMRQV. If the reason of the ban had place after November 2017 and also if it will be confirmed that the change of ownership was made before November 2017, then in my opinion would be fair to unban account spartan82 and return it to the real owner. I havent had access to this account since 2016 unfortunately and i dont remember having any secret answer or anything of the sort. I have access to the email used to register the account and can verify nearly all transactions/addresses pre 2015 I just want to make sure that noone but me can use that account to post anything further etc. As the account is banned no one would be able to post through it, however the previous holder of the account who is in control of the valid login details would be able to; access the account on a read only basis, including posts and private messages, and recently there have been cases of this means being used to scam people (users claiming ownership of banned accounts as they can read the messages sent to it). If you had secret question enabled, you can use that means to lock the account by attempting to recover the password through it. This should prevent any access. Can you sign a message from another verifiable address? If you can, PM theymos or cyrus with it and they may return it to you. It could be unbanned if the ban was due to plagiarism whist it was under the ownership of the person who has it now.

Yes, we are treated very unfairly. Your friend should probably read the rules if he keeps getting banned. It looks like that account was banned for copy and pasting at least: Da_Primate Professional wrestling is a form of theatrical entertainment and performance art wherein athletic performers play prize fighters competing in choreographed matches with predetermined, scripted outcomes. The choreographed combat is based on classical and "catch" wrestling, with modern additions of striking attacks, acrobatics, feats of strength, fast-moving athleticism and occasionally, improvised weaponry. The performances are all planned (if not rigidly choreographed) to maximize the entertainment value to the audience, and reduce the chances of the performers suffering real-life injuries. Professional wrestling also liberally incorporates melodrama. Much like some of the real prizefighters they imitate, the characters in professional wrestling have large egos, flamboyant personalities (often attached to a gimmick), and turbulent interpersonal relationships. These personas are generally scripted, the same as the matches. Performances mainly take place in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing (a sort of theater in the round).

Forum software?? Mods?? Why should both get paid? Isn't smf free? I haven't heard any other mod to get paid.
The 'forum software project' is payment for development of a new forum. How many expensises does a super web hosting needs for 10 years? Half bitcoin?
According to this list, there are 36 officials admin staff and mods. Let's say their average wage is a grand a month, and that will cost 36K for a month and 432K for a year. They are human and need money to run and make this place civilized. They have full rights that don't need to be questioned, IMO. No mod is paid a wage per se (except for maybe Cyrus and co with his Cryptios company but I don't know the terms of that deal). It all depends on how much 'work' you do, but it's capped at a certain amount. If you do nothing you'll get nothing. If you do a little you'll get a little. Last month almost 1btc was paid out between 26 mods ($9157). Three of those received nothing. 8 of those received less than $100 or just a little bit more.

I re-opened the original thread. Please report any spam or abuse that's going on in there if it happens again.

I unlocked the thread. Please report any spam or blatant abuse of this thread to staff using the report to moderator button. If it's found to be abused again by spam and people do not report it the thread will be re-locked. Thanks.

Goddamnit it. I was checking the sportsbet account every few days to see if another shirt giveaway was going to happen. Will they be doing any more? I know the PL is over now but there's still the CL and PL Playoffs. Real shame about Watford going down and I was rooting for them to stay up. Maybe they'll be back in the PL for the 21/22 season and since the Sportsbet deal is for three years we might see that BTC logo back in the PL again.

So what do we do now @hilariousandco? PM you a bitcoin address?
Yeah, along with your username on superbru if it's any different. Hey, where is my name ? I can split it with you if you want.

Good luck to everyone. Really looking forward to the outcomes. One minute to kick off. Got a few bets on the Man U game which I'll be watching. Word of warning though: anyone who knocks me out of the top 5 is getting banned . What game(s) is everyone else watching?

If we're not going to have a sub for Sig Campaigns I don't think we need one for Managers. Everyone would likely ask for one then. Escrows and such. I think the lists people have compiled about the various managers and escrows are fine enough. My understanding is, you are not to be pmming companies offering your managing services. You are not to be pedaling your digital or physical good via pm. You are not to solicit anyone period unless they specifically ask for offers in a thread or via pm from you. Is my interpretation correct?
You're free to do it, but if that person reports it then that's where you might get into trouble. Some users have PMd me in the past about threads or services or giveaways I might be interested in and I don't see anything there's wrong with that half of the time and I wouldn't report them for that, but of course I don't want to be PMd about any old crap. It's the same for most people probably. They might be interested in your service but if they're not and they report you you might end up with a ban so I'd take that into consideration. I think your interpretation of those specific types of PMs is correct, although I'm not sure if I'd find an offer from a campaign manager to someone who might be looking for that service to be spam--though it's still against the rules as they're written.
If a company posts they are looking for a manager, then I would say it is 100% acceptable to send offers. You very likely wouldn't be banned for that or if you was you'd have a case for it to be overturned. When PMing people like that though quote the thread where they said they were looking for managers to them. If I saw that I certainly wouldn't issue a ban if they reported it.

I didn't see the original either but I'm not changing my avatar unless you pay me . And as trofo said it will cause issues with the various deals people have for them. If you guys without one want to do so then feel free .

Banning people for this without warning is harsh, but if they continue to do it after a warning then they're usually given a short temp ban.
Thank you for the response. I did not know that user got warning. I knew that there post only get deleted. Out of curiosity, what kind of warning you give. Like some other forum software, I do not see any warning notification in smf. Or may be not in bitcointalk at least. How an user will know that they have been warned? A warning is need before ban, I agree. I did not know that such rule breaking get warning and temp ban later. Usually via PM or sometimes in their thread if it's a bumping issue. I usually do that so I can keep an eye on whether they're still abusing it by bumping several times a day which some users do try to get away with. If they do that after the warning it's always going to earn them a temp ban.

He probably deleted a load of his posts.

That would make sense.
Just waiting on a mod's confirmation.
I didn't remove it and I can't see any reports handled on it but it was probably removed for the reasons above.
