2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do mixing companies want stolen bitcoins? on: October 18, 2020, 06:46:08 PM
~snip~

Thank you for sharing this, it is clear that bitcoin mixer service is not only for pure stolen bitcoin. Is just a service for people who really want protection of their asset.

The result of the graph that based on Chainalysis was most of the exchange that want anonymity on their bitcoin, I guess that amount will go to their cold wallet from hot wallet. They don't want hackers will trace every transaction they had to avoid possible hacking. Stolen or dirty bitcoin that mix up of bitcoin mixer is just a normal.

A big percentage came from exchanges where users have their investment and trades. A big part of the mixing website was still used the majority in privacy as we can see in the graph. The percentage of funds in the mixer i not actually a big percentage but I guess it just doesn't happen every day but when it happened it just a big transaction.

I also used mixing for some of my transactions just for privacy and sometimes it is reliable since I could easily use it to transfer or import my funds in my wallet to a certain wallet.

2063  Economy / Exchanges / Re: localbitcoins is still exisiting im surprised on: October 17, 2020, 06:32:30 PM
you can buy btc now with a lot cheaper and quicker ways!
the cryptocurrency liqutity all over the world been improved a lot so now you can exchnge crypto just with ur bank card

how is this possible that localbitcoins still have customers?  Roll Eyes

Finding a good exchange in my country is no easy at all, with the help of local bitcoin it is a big help for some users, especially in the past years.

But this day I think these days there is some platform that is more reliable than this. Depending on your country I think in my country this platform is not gonna be used by a lot of users. Because you could pretty much do everything in some other platform available like buying, transaction, withdraw, convert, etc. But their are still some places here where this platform is preferred or some just want to try it for the experience.

2064  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Naniniwala ba kayo dito? on: October 17, 2020, 06:05:43 PM

magiging issue pa yang pag withdraw at baka ma freeze pa accounts natin.
Sabi mo nga mas mabuti maging totoo para makaiwas sa sigalot in the mere future.

Im not sure if magagawa nilang mafake ang IDs.
2065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter hack: Be careful with your account as attacks are increasing on: October 17, 2020, 04:08:27 PM
It was seen that someone's twitter account was hack and then promoted a bitcoin doubler. This used to be the tactics of cyber criminals in Youtube as it was reported that the activities started Massive wave of account hijacks hits YouTube creators. Yes, we are all familiar with the recent Twitter breach, but the difference is that this is a wide spread attack now, so anyone can become a victim.

I'm not saying that these criminals have shift, but more likely twitter might be easy to hack now through their phishing email attempts. So if you used this platform, so just be careful and this is a warning.

I'm not a follower of this account, but this is one example and definitely won't be the last twitter hack. So when the hacker takes over your attack, the obvious thing, Elon Musk is screaming all over with his supposedly bitcoin giveaways. This account has 230k followers.

https://twitter.com/diamondwhite/status/1315653427096059904

Website:
Code:
 https://s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/cryptogiveaway/elon.html?5ssa

And these criminals are now hiding behind amazons aws, a bit tricky but we can report it here:

https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/report-abuse

https://help.twitter.com/en/safety-and-security/account-security-tips

This is getting a little out of hand, the numbers of accounts hack on Youtube, Twitter, and other platforms are increasing.

Scammers are getting more online so we could expect hacking a lot as pandemic force a lot of people to work at home and to go online. I think platforms need to improve their security as account hacking is happening frequently and at the same time users need to be responsible for their own account.

Another Elon Musk scams, it is already a common scam on Twitter but having a legitimate account promoting it might get some newbies to fall into these traps. Users just need to understand that earning is not easy, don't be greedy and fall into this kind of scams.
2066  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bagong Digital Telco Gomo PH on: October 16, 2020, 06:06:05 PM

I think one of the cheapest na itong gomo or pinakasulit depende sa lugar or lakas ng signal.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 16, 2020, 05:21:37 PM
I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions even when it faster and easier, they still don’t prefer using it, I have noticed this a lot, Some classes of human,Sometimes when they are to receive money from another country like international transfer sometimes it takes 2 3 days to arrive,They will advise them to use bitcoin and they still don’t accept it even it faster and easier. Now how come we make bitcoin come to people.

Bitcoin is used in a lot of things such as investment, transactions, etc., for sure a lot of people don't know what is cryptocurrency or bitcoin.

People who have knowledge of bitcoin do not really avoid, it in my opinion sometimes bitcoin is not really reliable all of the time where you could use it. In some cases, fiat money is also reliable in other places where bitcoin cannot be used.

Personally, I think bitcoin is best for investment or trading and not really for direct transactions in a store, but it really depends on your country if bitcoin use is supported.
I'm having the same thought. Even if the government of a certain country allows or encourages the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies I don't think that it would be using it well by people. First of all, I think it is too complicated for commoners to cope with and understand this technology. Besides, there are still some places that cannot afford to use it. Just like you have said, Bitcoin is too volatile to use as a common currency, and imagine if this really implemented won't this become a mess in the physical market because the value keeps changing and changing.

That's a good point, a lot of people are afraid to lose their money from an investment like cryptocurrency but for-profit everyone who invests or starts a business is taking a gamble.

If that's the point here, I think bitcoin and cryptocurrency scams are a big part of why people are avoiding it, when I first got started in trading cryptocurrency scams are why I'm afraid to invest in it. When it comes to online, scams are so frequent. Most of the people who do not have knowledge in cryptocurrency maybe watch bitcoin scams or cryptocurrency scams from the news.

There is no reason for people to avoid bitcoin it just a matter of if it is reliable depending in your place or country.

2069  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Cryptocurrency scam. on: October 15, 2020, 06:42:05 PM

2070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin just for investors on: October 14, 2020, 02:46:07 PM
So many people make this comment that bitcoin is for investors, but sometimes people use it in transactions, people actually prefer using bitcoin sometimes. And In a minute it will either ho higher or lower, And it a problem sometimes the money doesn’t belongs to you,but you just want the transaction to be easier, not everybody knows how to monitor market or trade. What is the answer on this. I really want to know if bitcoin is mainly for investors and other person that is using it just for that purpose if the losses if there own risk. Is bitcoin mainly for investors or for every one?

You can do whatever you want to your bitcoin for sure, you can use it in investment, trading, transactions, etc.

I think I can agree that bitcoin is mainly best when it comes to investment compared to other things that you could do in it, the volatility of bitcoin is I think a big factor that is why you could easily make a profit in the long or short term investment in bitcoin, also the demand and community in bitcoin is already solid so bitcoin is always going to have its value.

When it comes to transactions bitcoin is also useful since you could send currency anywhere but still needs a bit of improvement because we experience some issues when it comes to speeds etc. Bitcoin as a currency, for now, I don't think it's reliable compared to fiat money as the value is always going up and down, someone who accepts payment in bitcoin is taking a big risk in it. So I think bitcoin is the best for investment use.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government can seize company reserve Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2020, 05:45:00 PM
Definitely, the government cannot just seize these bitcoins as long as owning bitcoin in their country is legal. Having something illegal in the companies could turn out differently though. Companies could do whatever they want so having a bitcoin as reserved is not gonna be a problem.

But it seems risky buying or using bitcoin as a company, that might be a big profit at some point but could also go wrong in the future. A lot of unexpected things could happen who knows if bitcoin is going to be the future of currency it could be something that is more high-tech than bitcoin could emerge.

Tyambahan man atleast libre.

2075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 11, 2020, 05:18:28 PM
How anyone who Say Can proof Bitcoin is not ponzi?

There is More proof and evidence that it is ponzi.

I Don't mind If its ponzi but i Don't want to exit too late but not too early so When is best time to exit?

The main thing here why people are thinking that Bitcoin is a big ponzi scam could be because whoever created or make the bitcoin could easily make the bitcoin fall its market price.

Possibly if the creator of bitcoin(Satoshi Nakamoto?) if holding a big amount or volume of bitcoin on his own easily that could really affect the market price of bitcoin if he's going to sell it in the future or even today. Bitcoin market price depends on the supply and demand in the market so a big volume being sell could make bitcoin fall. But I don't think you can call it a ponzi scam or anything I mean it's just a supply and demand thing even if he sells a big volume of it there still a chance for the market price to increase after some time of recovering.

Ponzi scams would just instantly disappear to scam a big money like pyramids scam etc.
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 11, 2020, 04:53:15 PM
More on gaining money from fans same deal with how McGregor fought Mayweather, promoters are after with the potential fans who loves seeing MMA fighter another legendary boxers.

There's maybe a good show that we will see in case the fight will proceed, but I also agree that the fight will happen inside the boxing and not the MMA ring so the advantage still with Manny.

Well.. that's true. One of the reasons why the odds are so biased against Conor McGregor is due to his poor performance three years ago, when he fought against Floyd Mayweather. Back then also, the odds favored Floyd, but Conor's performance was really bad. On the other hand, Manny is in good form, especially after his win against Thurman.

Conor McGregor doesn't have a lot of head movement and low endurance in a fight, his fight with Floyd Mayweather shows where he already struggling to fight after a few rounds.

Having a fight against Manny Pacquiao is an interesting match and for sure would become a big hype in boxing just like Manny vs Floyd and Connor vs Floyd.

Manny Pacquiao is a really strong fighter inside the ring, fast and strong punches is going to hurt Conor McGregor, but Pacquiao is always on the attack and in the early round I think McGregor has a slight chance of winning in that early round because McGregor is really a strong fight on early. Still when it comes to boxing Pacquiao is going to win and in the octagon, McGregor is going to win.

Isa talaga akong PINOY, LOL. Tongue

Oo, bro.

2080  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is rising suddenly ? on: October 10, 2020, 04:58:52 PM
Remember that the halving happened is months ago and I guess, this could be considered as a result of halving as we the most anticipated and awaited that the price will grow.

On the other side, the reason for suddenly bitcoin raised is unpredictable. There's a lot of prediction towards the price of bitcoin speculations, others are very optimistic and believe that at the end of this quarter year, bitcoin will head up to $12k value or higher than what we expected. Keep holding and help whales to dump the market again.

Bitcoin halving is a good factor, a lot of things are affecting the market price of bitcoin so we can't really pinpoint specifically to the main reason for the sudden rise in the market price of bitcoin.

The Market price is still in the range of 10k$-12k$ which is the market price in the past month so bitcoin is just recovering in the past dump. For me having this movement in the market price of bitcoin is just a normal thing in bitcoin, supply, and demand, etc. Market price could still rise up in the coming months up to 15k$ and that's not really surprising as almost a lot of people in the cryptocurrency community is expecting and believing in bitcoin to surpass its ATH, that is why a lot of people is still holding bitcoin for long term investment!
