Today I try to download Electrum but this happen any suggestion what is going on ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FCjyO0PZ.jpg%3F1&t=663&c=gXtPW3C-XLGmGg) Which version of Electrum and where did you download it from? Here you can find older versions of Electrum (don't forget to uninstall the one you currently have installed if you decide to try out other versions). Users seem to encounter this issue on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. The dialog box from the image you uploaded suggests that you use Windows 8.1. Make sure that your OS is up-to-date.

I've been thinking about some small programs I can create using stats from the bitcoin network. I was wondering if there is already a program that keeps track of the largest transaction that happened in a 24 hour period?
What is the largest transaction for you? Do you mean the transaction size or the amount of bitcoins which were sent? If the latter then this page might be useful for you. It shows all transactions with the biggest amount of BTC sent in the past 24 hours.

Definitely. I don't get it at all. There's a good reason why Trezor and Ledger is only accessible through USB. The chances of having man-in-the-middle attacks are simply just significantly higher when using bluetooth or anything wireless. I mean, if you want convenience, then why not just use a software wallet on your mobile for spending?
Actually, Ledger released model Blue which had Bluetooth support a long time ago. However, none of the built-in apps took advantage of this feature. Why both Ledger and Trezor haven't released proper Android apps which would work well with their devices? Support in Mycelium is a bit out of date (no SegWit) and the app itself became shady. I agree that there are plenty of good software wallets for smartphones, for example, Samourai which can be used for on-the-go payments.

Is localbitcoin easier and faster to do?
Localbitcoins is basically trading with other people in your local area face-2-face in most cases (lower risk of getting scammed). You could also try looking for Bitcoin ATMs but they are still rare, especially in small cities. I used to buy Bitcoin directly with my debit card but many websites which provide such service have a minimum amount of dollars which you have to spend. CoinGate is a pretty solid one but they also enforce some kind of verification. You might pass it, though. 1) the guy wants me to send 100 dollars, but I'm in EU. Should I buy 100 dollars or 100 euros? Is AMD the US dollar? 2) how can I make the 100$ go to him ?
You have to talk with the other person about it. 100 dollars is obviously not the same as 100 euro. PayPal payments are reversible so that's why some people might be reluctant to trade with you.

Thanks all awsering me =) i'm using electrum, i used for a lot of months, with the lowest transaction, and never got this problem
As I wrote above, due to the increase of transactions, the fees have gone up significantly. where is this child pays for parent"? i tried increase but still one satoshi per/b
Which version of Electrum do you have? The latest one should have Replace-By-Fee enabled by default. After clicking "Increase fee" you should see a slider which will allow you to set a higher transaction fee. There are currently 5 thousand unconfirmed transactions so it's slowly getting better. If it isn't urgent, wait a couple of hours and your transaction will be confirmed.

If you want to be a merit source:
1. Be a somewhat established member. 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully. 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.
I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections. Dziękuję wszystkim, którzy wyrazili chęć przetłumaczenia moich poradników. Osoby te zostały odpowiednio nagrodzone. Mam nadzieję, że mogłem choć trochę pomóc i postaram się wymyślić inny sposób aby móc przesłać trochę merita adekwatnie do włożonego wysiłku i poświęconego czasu.

It looks like there has been a spike in the number of transactions recently. The recommended transaction fee is 12 sat/byte which for an average transaction (1 input, 1 output) is about 2300 satoshis. It is ten times more than what you have paid. What wallet are you using? I would recommend you either Electrum or Bitcoin Core if you prefer software wallets. Your transaction will be confirmed but you have to wait a few more hours.

The problem of "zombie nodes" hasn't been solved yet. Offline channels are still considered as capable of routing payments which in some cases cause the payment to fail because channels are unavailable. It is a matter of making a few changes to how channels signalize their state. More information can be found here. As I mentioned in my other thread, this problem has been addressed in the v0.5 release of LND. I have just edited the topic and included proper explanation. I have also included a few questions which were answered by me in this thread.

So what's up with XMR support on the original Trezor? Is it ever coming?
TREZOR is currently porting trezor-core (new software which is used by Trezor T) to Trezor One so that it could take advantage of new features and coins. However, Monero might not be supported due to hardware limitations (memory problems) but TREZOR team is trying to address this issue. Monero has had a few hardforks so the firmware you linked is a bit out of date.

I have done a little bit of research and I found this piece of code with good commentary. // utxoNursery is a system dedicated to incubating time-locked outputs created // by the broadcast of a commitment transaction either by us, or the remote // peer. The nursery accepts outputs and "incubates" them until they've reached // maturity, then sweep the outputs into the source wallet. An output is // considered mature after the relative time-lock within the pkScript has // passed. As outputs reach their maturity age, they're swept in batches into // the source wallet, returning the outputs so they can be used within future // channels, or regular Bitcoin transactions. As you can see, since the CLTV time-lock didn't expire, you had to wait until it was "incubated". Here you can find a graph which will help you to understand it more easily.

guys can one of you make this 100$ bitcoin transfer in my place? Than I'll give you 100$ via paypal.
Hardly anyone will agree to do that. PayPal payments are reversible while Bitcoin transactions are not. You can try your luck here but I guess that nobody will be interested in your offer since you don't have any trading history on bitcointalk.

But technically speaking, that's also insecure, right? I mean the only reason why Trezor didn't implement this is that they care about the user's funds safety so an alternative shouldn't even be suggested.
Are you trying to say that using Electron Cash with a hardware wallet is insecure? In fact, it is secure and the same applies to Electrum. Trezor never exposes your private keys. You have to connect your Trezor only during the wallet creation and when you want to sign a transaction. Trezor is busy with more important things, for example, adding support for native SegWit addresses directly to their web interface. Beside the code changes, they would have to run nodes following Bitcoin SV chain.

"maturity_height" and "blocks_til_maturity" are your answer. 144 blocks is about 1 day so you should get your funds back in approximately 5 days. Similar problem has been described here. There must be something wrong with timelocks. Have you used that channel? Did the other party have zero balance?

How to make the wallet exchange data immediately with ALL nodes?
It's not possible to connect to all nodes at once. Thirteen connections is still quite a lot (take a look at this discussion). Even if you connect connect to a few hundred nodes, you won't be able to download blocks faster since every block must be verified by your Bitcoin Core instance (the processing power is a huge limit in most cases). The same applies to sharing blocks and filtering data for lightweight clients once you change your -listen parameter to 1.

Trezor servers run Bitcoin ABC software which means that on the 15th November they will follow ABC's proposal. The other chain won't be officially supported (no replay protection and splitting tool) but it will be possible to claim those coins using Electron Cash. Jeżeli ktoś przetłumaczy jeden z moich tematów o Lightning Network to jestem gotów nagrodzić taką osobę 5-15 meritami w zależności od wybranego tematu ( link do moich tematów).
Z chęcią mogę Ci pomóc z meritem, możesz śmiało napisać do mnie wiadomość.

The input is a nested SegWit address. All four outputs are native SegWit addresses. While creating a new wallet in Electrum, you can select whether you want to use standard addresses or SegWit ones (bc1). Using SegWit addresses allows you to save a lot of money on transaction fees ( more detailed explanation here). You can learn more about Segregated Witness (SegWit) here. Native SegWit addresses are also used by every Lightning Network software. Channel funds are locked up in such addresses.

Does this mean that decentralization is doomed?
Fortunately, not. Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin which can have 32 MB blocks and doesn't support SegWit. It can process more transactions than Bitcoin thanks to the increased blocksize but barely anyone uses it. We are now focusing on off-chain scaling ( the Lightning Network, RSK, Liquid Network) which brings us new benefits, for example, instant and cheap transactions while not doing any harm to the decentralization. I would be more concerned about mining pools but it's better for them to make a long-term profit on Bitcoin mining rather than try to double spend some coins.

The estimated BTC transacted is zero because you sent those bitcoins to yourself (the same address). You have combined two inputs into one which is a good thing to do when the transaction fees are low but you did it accidentally with only two out of ten transactions which you have received. Here you can see it more clearly.
