2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spectrecoin [SPEC] Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor | Exchanges on: January 18, 2017, 12:04:05 PM
Just saying that again, the main selling point of Spectre is the mobile App which is going to be developed. This project is in early stage yet. The SDC code acts as a backbone network and as you said, without any significant changes there is nothing that would give it more value than SDC. However the App is being developed independently, and the wallet is being added new features like native Tor integration, and if it will give SpectreCash more value than SadowCash, there will be nothing unfair about it. Also note that the App will be open source (afaik) as well so everyone can use it and profit from it.

Yeah but i think it is quite overkill to say that spectre is atleast now better than shadowcash, because so far people are still waiting on some improvements. It will be a clone as long as some features will be added on the client itself.
I mean so far not even the market tab from the client is removed, lol.
2062  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] CS:GO smurfing account ex-master guardian 1 on: January 18, 2017, 11:49:43 AM
up up, account still up for sale, price lowered to 6$.
You will not possibly find any account cheaper for CS:GO, the price is really low.
Also remember the hours of work put onto this account, basically im giving this for free except there is a small payment fee of 6 $ Tongue
Wow. That is a really good price for such a higher ranked account. Sorry that I couldn't buy it from you. Someone else gave it to me for the same price except it had a lot more skins so it was more worth it. I would definitely recommend it to other people as it is a really good deal.

Im glad to hear that Smiley Actually i think you got a really nice deal, how much worth of skins? Also 6 bucks is a really  cheap price, and i would not consider it high rank at all. I have a main which used to be supreme master first class before i did quit gaming. Im not selling the account tho because it is so old account which was made on 2010.
Oh wow nice. I was just looking to get an account to play with my friends who aren't that good at the game. I got only about 5 dollars worth of skins but it was quite a good deal. My main account has an inventory worth around $600. So it's not too bad.

So basically if you paid around 6$ for the acccount, you got it basically for 1$, because those skins probably could be sold for around 85-90% on bitskins or opskins.

If you understand basic market, an idea of supply and demand i would go with trading on exchanges with altcoins. Following the trends on the coins or pump n dumps can be quite profitable to you. I recommend c-cex.com for those. You trade altcoins for bitcoin there mostly.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spectrecoin [SPEC] Untraceable Tx | Ring Signatures | Tor | Exchanges on: January 18, 2017, 04:49:51 AM
Sdc is going to loose its value soon. The future belongs to SPEC ! Great coin!

I might also add that it takes a Spec-tial kind of low life to steal someone's code, claim they are going to make a better coin with it, and then trash the work that created the coin they stole it from.  Roll Eyes

That's dumb for saying a thing like that.  It tells us what kind of person you are.

Every Better product comes from a previous inferior product.  SDC is inferior.  It doesn't have to be your sdc coin.  It can be xmr, C, C++, C#, your bloody laptop with all those chips.
Someone saw that it's missing something and made it better, faster, leaner and you get upset?  Grow up.

You can either lead, follow, or get out of the way.
You can improve on your own coin, Follow Spectre, or get out of the way.  Either way get out of the way.  Spectre is better.

I think it is early to say so, if you take a look at github currently there is no any chance from SDC, so how it could be better yet when it is literally the same source?
2069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get bitcoin paper wallet on: January 18, 2017, 04:16:01 AM
You can get an offline paper wallet generator from here: https://github.com/cantonbecker/bitcoinpaperwallet
I would personally download that to USB stick or some other storage method, then i would boot onto to example Ubuntu live cd that does not have an internet connection and generate the wallet from there.
Do not connect to internet at all while generating the wallet. Then print the paper wallet via printer (still offline, you can have a local connection to the printer tho.)
That should do the trickt, let me know if you need more help with this Smiley
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: January 17, 2017, 10:40:25 PM
But does zero confirmation system can overcome double spending?
You'll say it's not worth to do it for a cup of coffee, but what if I order coffee for all the office?
20-30 cups of coffee for 1-2$ of fee is almost for free.
Once you actually succeed to double spend a merchant that doesn't need a confirmation, do tell us the story.

It can't be achieved with a certain degree of difficulty. You need to 1st convince the merchant to accept your 0 conf payment, convince a miner to help you mine a replacement transaction. The first is easy, making a replacement transaction without the participation of a miner with a significant amount of hashrate is hard.

Great idea for the coffee part. But merchants will require you to wait for a confirmation. Oh come on, how much time do they need to make 20-30 cups of coffee in the first place?

Necessity is the mother of invention

You would only need to give the bartender a fiat collateral for the amount of coffee you are going to buy (you can leave your gold wristwatch or iPhone), then pay with bitcoins. And while your whole office sits at a coffee break and enjoys your smartness and wisdom, your transaction gets successfully confirmed. Later you return and take back the fiat (or whatever you left). If the transaction doesn't get confirmed eventually, congrats, you have just paid with fiat for the coffee (all the better for your bitcoins). As simple as it gets

But groceries and supermarket is different story, so a different kind of approach is needed on this issue, even waiting for the confirmation will make it more difficult to the customer.  15 minutes is too long to wait after scanning all the goods you made.  Unless bitcoin confirmation takes 1 to 2 minutes, it is not wise to pay with bitcoin directly in this cases.

As long as the customer pays the recommended fee, they should accep the tx even with 0 confirmations if you ask me. Since it takes 72 hours for the tx to get rejected, and if you send it with recommended fee there is a really slight chance that it wouls not get confirmed within that time frame.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: offline wallet recovery on: January 17, 2017, 10:28:17 PM
in my paper backup I have the 12 words for recovering root key and chain code. The problem is I don't know if this backup is from the online or the offline (is it possible?)(is that a problem??). The folder i found with .wallet and .watchonly.wallet and a paper backup is on my personal computer, so is accessible. The offline wallet is in Ubuntu, but since I don't remember the user password i can't access to the wallet. Besides, it's home directory is encrypted...

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me again if I'm not clear with my explanations.

If you have the seed on paper, install the electrum from here: https://electrum.org/

Then open electrum, press standard wallet, then "i already have a seed" enter your 12 word seed, press options and tick BIP39, then press continue and it asks for optional password. Then voila. You have the bitcoins usable again and you can send them to any address where you want to Smiley

2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: January 17, 2017, 10:22:49 PM
Atleast here on finland there is few restaurants, bars and coffee places where you can pay with bitcoin. Also few food stores, but i would not recommend them since the workers did not really know how to use bitcoin, and they had to call their boss etc. So it was fairly frustrating to wait at the cashier.
2074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OK IM A PRO AT THIS IN 5 DAYS SINCE I on: January 17, 2017, 09:46:14 PM
Much better to don't use coinbase right now most of their issue are credit card they are deducting multiple times their credit card even they are just buying a small amount of bitcoin. If you really want to be safe much better to stay away from coinbase until the issue will be fix..

I noticed the same thing, you should just try to buy once and if it says failed just wait.
I tried to buy some BTC too with a card, it said failed first and suddenly i got debited 3 times for the amount, so their system is not working really so well.
I think that coinbase needs to fix this issue ASAP, because otherwise they will probably lose some customers.
2075  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $150 on Skrill, need BTC on: January 17, 2017, 09:34:39 PM
I think you should go with paxful: https://paxful.com/buy-bitcoin/skrill
I have bought bitcoins few times from there with skrill, they are a reputable site but you will not get a very good rate most of the times (20% fee is included mostly).
You could always try localbitcoins too Smiley
2076  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] CS:GO smurfing account ex-master guardian 1 on: January 17, 2017, 09:19:40 PM
is the email included and didn't lock by region?

The email address is not included, it is however changed during the purchase Smiley
Also since the game is already activated, there is no region lock at all and you can play anywhere you want with this account!

Thank you for the question.
2077  Economy / Goods / Re: [ANN] Qrypto | The All-in-one Bitcoin Card [Taking Orders] on: January 17, 2017, 09:16:37 PM
The card design looks pretty sweet, also how many customer support agents do you have?
I have e-coin/wirex card but their customer support this year has been really slow, and it has been 3 days since i submitted ticket for missing funds and still no answer.
For this reason i am quite skeptic and i need to ask these questions, thank you.
2078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should be done for Bitcoin wallet security? on: January 17, 2017, 09:05:12 PM
I would go with hardware wallet, if you want some security.
I can recommend ledger nano S or ledger nano which both you can find here: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products
I think that desktop wallets are not as safe as hardware wallets, if you generate the seeds offline.
You can find a safe way to generate the seeds offline from here: http://support.ledgerwallet.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-initialize-my-ledger-wallet-on-an-air-gap
2079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: offline wallet recovery on: January 17, 2017, 08:57:48 PM
Can you remember the password for the wallet.dat which you used few years ago? if yes, you could just install bitcoin core and import the keys to electrum or such.
Also are the files on ubuntu? If yes, do you remember the ubuntu password at all or can you access the wallet.dat or such on the ubuntu?
Waiting for your reply so i can help you better.

Cheers, Onni
2080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About Bitcoin Fee on: January 17, 2017, 07:38:35 PM
You can check the current fees at chain.so and uncornifrmed transactions. Also what client you are using for bitcoins? I will be able to help better if i know the client and if fees can be manually set.
