Although it hardly bears mentioning as it's an embarrassingly poor attempt at a scam, hourlycoins.biz/ Hourly Coins Ltd. scores the maximum.

This is far beyond cloud mining scam, this enters outright HYIP territory. It's obvious that they want to lure in as many bitcoins as possible before running away with it all.

Expect more of this crossover scamming, MLM/trad HYIP - Bitcoin with wide exposure thru social media and hugely inflated claims about growth of investor numbers.
Bitcoin is the new 'Forex', just another Dark Arts label to attract the moths to the flame.
2062  Economy / Speculation / Re: MMM affect bitcoin price on: April 09, 2016, 09:36:32 AM
Does anyone recall what the BTC price was... when MMM Republic of Bitcoin™ first fired up?

MMMGlobal and associated sites actually registered in 2014. Tracking its growth is difficult but see the graphs I have posted here. It could be inferred that the late 2015 rise in price and popularity of MMMGlobal were similar, so in answer to your question, maybe ~$250 when Global really got going.

So this Ponzi finally shuts down and Bitcoin lost around 2% of value so far.
Let's wait how this will develop the next few days. If nothing more serious in terms of price decline will happen I think that's it.
Bitcoin will survive it and the impact imo will not be that big as some here predicted.

All that's happened is a quantity of Bitcoin has changed ownership, from scammed to scammers.
It doesn't mean that whoever is behind MMM will immediately cash out into fiat. Why should they?

Dear participants!
We regret to inform you that we have to close down the Republic of Bitcoin. It was an experiment, and, unfortunately, it failed. We turned out not to able to pay 100% per month. We can easily pay 30% per month (and we proved it in practice in many countries), but 100% is too much even for us.
That’s why the RB will be closed down.
All the participants’ RB-Mavro are transferred to the MMM-structure of the countries which the participants come from. If there is no MMM-structure working in this country, it will be created within two weeks from the date of this announcement.
All RB-Mavro will be demonstrated as “old” Mavro in PO. Any operations with them are impossible. Gradually, as your country will be developing, they will be paid back. 10% of the total input of the system will be spent on repaying “old” Mavro. This practice has already been tested in many countries and proved that it works. It usually takes a half a year to pay back old” Mavro.
This news is not very pleasant but there is nothing that can be done about it. It”s not the end of the world. We just have to wait a bit.
We hope for understanding, Administration

2066  Economy / Speculation / Re: MMM affect bitcoin price on: April 08, 2016, 09:34:25 AM
Athough not directly related to this thread, MMM has gone into "freeze mode" pretty much everywhere. Sergei's stopped his weekly update vids too....

From "Andrew Globalsman", a Moscow based admin for South Africa

Quote
Many people from the different countries (Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, etc) ask the same questions: “Why mavroz are not getting unfrozen after the realease date?” So, programmers said there is a delay in the work of the script and mavros are getting unfrozen with a few days delay. The more participants, the higher server load.
Programmers are making adjustments. They launched more crons....and the queue for unfreezing should be processed it and the problem will be sorted out. We apologize for a glitch. But we will sort it out. MMM is our cause!

here is a pic

So you don't mine with them?

The only people making any money in this kind of operation are the operators and people that supply the victims for a referral fee.
2068  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: PONZI DOUBLER Sites = Gambling, GOT IT ALREADY? STOP THE RED SPAM on: April 07, 2016, 04:37:19 PM
ok i don't want to discuss it anymore, i just needed to say it to people who don't realize where they are

Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Gambling > Investor-based games

Sure, I'm not going to play insult tennis with anyone either.
Yeah, it says "investor based games". It does not say "noticeboard for half assed ripoffs and no criticizing please".
2069  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: PONZI DOUBLER Sites = Gambling, GOT IT ALREADY? STOP THE RED SPAM on: April 07, 2016, 04:27:50 PM
Maybe if shitty little scammers would stop "spamming the board" with their cheap rip off schemes, there would be no red anything in the first place.

FTFY.

there are many (and I mean MANY) hyip programs on the internet

Yup, thousands of them, just Google HYIP and away you go. This is a public forum, when someone posts something in here, other people give their views. That's how it works.

So your empty warnings grind my gears more than the whining of someone who took the risk, lost money, and now is taking it out on the forums.

I believe all is now said...and sorry if the word "investment" does not suit with my systems...I have not found better.

How about "existential challenge"?
2071  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Maybe this is the way these ponzis are lasting on: April 07, 2016, 11:36:53 AM
I have been think thoroughly regarding 2 cloud mining which are ponzis without any doubt and are cldmine and topmine. How come these website are still alive (well topmine is new 1.5 month old) but Cldmine is about 6 months now and not many people know it. I have arrived at the conclusion they are mining GPU-s maybe and thats how they can continue to stay well more than 6 months available, as mining DOGE is not really difficult or any other alt crypto which can be easily mined. What do you think of this ?

You can come to whatever conclusion you like, but it's just a guess.
These sites cost very little to set up and maintain, it's easy to shuffle some dust around between wallets to create the illusion of activity.
If you met a guy in a bar who said he had a great scheme going, would you give him money? No, so why do it on the Net?
2072  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone used "bitcoincloud.online" ?? on: April 06, 2016, 08:05:27 PM
I have referred over 1200 purchases which have given me about 500 dollars.

Still cant say for sure, I might be the only one what do I know.

I wouldnt say this site is a ponzi.

It would be helpful to check how many payments they are making and estimate their size if you were to share some proof of your transactions, otherwise....

I think it is amazing how he predicted electronic spying in an age when television was a relatively new invention. He was definitely a visionary.

He probably picked up a few ideas during WW2 when he worked for the BBC, which is maybe when he started thinking about the Ministry of Truth as he was creating and disseminating propaganda at the time.
2074  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Would like to know if anyone has heard of BitClub Network on: April 06, 2016, 10:30:53 AM

<snip BCN bullshit >

WOW, so if this f$#@*& SCAM was legit why would Bitclubnetwork stop doing business in the USA?
BitClub Network abandon USA, could it be that your legit company be on the run from Regulators?

Read all about it here

2075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: April 06, 2016, 10:14:03 AM
So, what's the current state of play then guys?
Bitfury have a small number of prototype chips which they may/may not have released to favored integrators and they may/may not be mining with?
TMSC have production problems due to earthquake/flood damage and are talking about up to 50 day delays?
If, without the delay, punin was confident enough to bet on April 1st for equipment to be in the wild, then is it now +~50 days, making late May?
Do I have this about right?
2076  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com - Cloud Mining Service on: April 05, 2016, 09:25:43 PM
Could it be that these guys have some mining rigs installed in their basements and call this their "datacenters"? Leased lines aren't that expensive anymore (well not in my country).

Even if so, I wouldn't care.
And they don't have any picture proof for that, funny right Grin
Trust me, there are already far too many bitcoin ponzi scam happened in the past, what makes this one different than the others Tongue
Learn what is Ponzi scheme and hopefully you understand that there are no real mining here Tongue

Could it be that these guys have some mining rigs installed in their basements and call this their "datacenters"? Leased lines aren't that expensive anymore (well not in my country).

Even if so, I wouldn't care.

They properly mine on a smaller scale and invest the bitcoins they get. If they are smart they can play the (altcoin)markt because they have such a large amount of btc laying around. They should be able to sustain the business if they're doing it already for 2 years.
Nope, they managed to keep alive for 2 years because many people keep pouring their money into their website
More investor = longer time to survive
But for how long the can last Tongue
When the investor decided to stop pouring their money in, that's when the show goes down Sad

Or they invest it smart..

Or they're just a scam that takes someone else's money and gives some of it to you.
Give your money to who you like but be like BitBustah, at least be honest about not giving a fuck whether anyone else gets shafted, instead of making up excuses about them 'investing'.
All they'll be investing in is hookers and blow pretty soon, maybe with yours and his money.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has bitcoin had success in China? on: April 05, 2016, 08:32:22 PM
Evading capital controls would seem a logical use for bitcoin.
Also gambling, and "investing" in one of the biggest Bitcoin based scams in the world, MMMGlobal.
Why else would their log in page be showing nearly 3 million Chinese visits a month and a place in the top 1000 most visited websites?

2078  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Cloud mining website hashflare.io using fake reviews on: April 05, 2016, 12:35:07 PM
Good find.
The usual excuse for fake reviewers/testimonials is, "Oh, everybody does it". That's bullshit, the only reason to fake reviews is to mislead.
They are telling a lie, they are saying this person is a satisfied customer when they're not.
If they want to get vouched for then why not ask one of their 'successful investors' to do it?
2079  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitClub Network: MLM promises, false testimonials and PoS coin - AVOID on: April 03, 2016, 09:58:20 PM

Strange happenings over at our favorite "crowdfunded" MLM BitClub Network, maybe it's a delayed April Fools joke.

First of all, their loudest shill J Ryan Conley puts together a barely comprehensible vid announcing that

Quote
USA BitClub Network is closing its doors to new Bitcoin & Ethereum miners May 1st!
Now is the time to get into BitClub Network if you live in the USA! Get in now before it's too late!
Join MMM Global here

(He's already been told by his boss Joby Weeks to 'stop promoting MMM Global alongside BitClub dude', but it doesn't appear to have had any effect).

Why, if true, should that be? And only in the USA?
The obvious answer is that it's a very tried and tested motivational tool to get people to do something: simply by telling them that they won't be able to soon. So maybe that. But that would be only logical globally.
Of course, a legit business with shareholder funding would set a cap on the capital size to stop dilution...again, would only apply if all further investment was capped, not just one country.

The possibility that remains is that, despite the small print and despite Weeks' pretence that when you send BCN money you are actually buying hardware, not a security, that a regulatory body in the US has looked at the BitClub Network model and thinks that it, just might, resemble an unlicenced security sale.
The MLM industry runs into regulatory problems all the time in the US. When Ponzis funded this way collapse, a receiver is appointed and claws back investors money from the admins and returns it to the victims. Leading admin figures are also prosecuted.
This is happening to the tune of $300 million at the moment in the case of Zeek Rewards, an MLM Ponzi that was pumped by the leading figures now behind BitClub Network, before it crashed in flames.

We shall soon see.

The other strange happening is in the mining department.
Since Weeks and punin from BitFury disagreed rather basically about exactly what BitFury equipment was being used by BCN, especially in the 16nm chip world, BitFury's hashpower has gone into sharp decline, whereas BCN's has increased and BitClubPool had some good luck recently.

It was therefore a bit of a surprise to see this today, on BCPool's stats page...
BTC Hashrate: 0 GH/s

I'm sure it's just a maintenance thing and will be fine in the morning....BitClub Network couldn't just disappear overnight, could it?...............I mean, could it?

100 posts of shit in a week since he bought it.
The funny part about that guy, is that he is spamming like shit and yet he doesn't even have a signature. Just why? Like why would you want to spam without getting anything in return.

Unless I am losing my mind, he had one at the time or else why would have I have put him on this list?
I don't know exactly how it works with bans, would he have to be booted from the campaign before being forum banned for his sig to disappear?
