Wow! that was too exciting high amount this early of September isn't? but in my information about the price value of bitcoin, it will range from 5000$ up to 6000$ until the end of October. For this current scenario that crypto coins are banned in china bitcoins will struggle to reach for 7000$ and maybe the best thing we can tell for now is the bitcoins would maybe reach for 4500$-5000$ by the end of this month IF the support of the people are still intact with this coin. But seems the current price for now is pretty stable and we should enjoy this one first. Since at the beginning of September we all experienced ups and down in the market and the ICO banning of China contributes more to this. So if ever we touch again the $5000 then it will just play there then the $7000 is not a far fetched dream but maybe it will happen in the next months. |

I think Bitcoin is going to grow slowly.
Maybe 1BTC will be 10.000 - 20.000 USD.
Not 500.000 USD of course.
Also we will see Bitcoin falls several times like a week ago.
$10,000 - $20,000 BTC in the next 5 years if far more realistic than $500,000 USD. Market from my point of view cannot sustain Bitcoin price even at $100k in the next 5 to 10 years. The government acceptance is still slow and there are lots of resistance especially when regulation is tackled. Though I am not saying that there is a possiblity but being realistic, I cannot see bitcoin to reach even $50k in the next 5 years. Next 5 years? Hmm I think will cross to that price and might even break that price and reach for even 15k$ when years past remember bitcoins growth are so fast and for that years will came I also think that the adoption will became more huge and that can even tight up and became more stronger. |

No one can successfully predict the market right now, anything could happen. Bitcoin can survive and grow exponentially, Bitcoin Cash can surpass it and then grow much higher... They can both coexist with similar prices, or one much higher... There are so many different possible scenarios that i'd recommend either holding both as some kind of hedge against any outcome, or holding neither and wait out the storm (keep your investment in alts/eth/etc)
I agree with you right now nobody can really tell if bitcoin prices will go up or even go down, because bitcoin prices are very volatile, all we can do now is keep investing with bitcoin, hold our bitcoin that we have and sell it at a best price according to us. But there are some little indicators like news and happenings of bitcoins that gives us a little hint on what would be the outcome of bitcoin for that times and if we can join to the hype brought by that news we can actually earn for that scenario. But we should also think that this is only a short term happenings and we should stick to our god feel so that we will not been left behind if the hype is gone. |

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling. Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
If you are a novice trader, I suggest you to convert all of your alt into bitcoin then trading btc - fiat. Your suggestion is very good an yet profitable but how could he learn on different things surround the crypto trading while he stick only on 1 sided trades? And I think its better to have many choices on trades so that we can familiarize on how tradings work on both sides. |

I think the Safest one is holding it, since the momentum is high as of now, you should hold and wait for it until you meet the desired amount of bitcoin you wanted, Lending seems very unsafe for me.
Holding will make him more rich in dollars, with lending he can earn more with bitcoins and have even more in dollars. Its safer to hold what you have, but with risk you have possibility to earn. Poloniex have lending platform, there isn`t much complaining about their service, personally I didn`t try it yet, I like to trade/hold with altcoin and gamble more, which is riskier then holding and lending. He is asking for the safest one, lending platform may seem safe for other users but for me, lending is riskier than holding bitcoin because once you lend a bitcoin the borrower might not pay the borrowed bitcoin, well that's how i asses the risk on lending but when you hold your bitcin you control on how will you sell/buy bitcoin for you to generate profit. Lending platform can be safe if he require a Collateral to his borrower but I'm afraid to do this one even if this is profitable business since I think we can get bad karma for executing this business that's the reason I prefer to hold and luckily I've earn a bucks for holding my btc in his days of more pumps. |

BTC price is kind of high right now if you look at the charts and history. But I read a lot of topics and it looks like this doesn't matter at all.
Let's say I want to buy like 2BTC. Do you advice to do it right now or wait till when?

LOL interest rates coming from the bank will always be a joke. I would advice that you have to buy bitcoin with it's current price. After the SegWit activated it's now becoming ready for the price increase. This is a good time to buy now because if you'll wait for a longer time the price can't be lower now. Banks are on the business of making money with someone else’s money and then giving them a very low amount of their earnings, as you can see they get all the benefits and none of the problems of investing. They didn't give any decent roi to there depositor despite of the big earnings they've got from there money and I surely can say that bitcoin is much better since it can gave us huge ROI for staking for many months. But don't leave your balance unattended since their are so many exploits happenings everyday with btc and much better if we wil save on ledger wallets or maybe in a hardware wallet to make it more safe. |

we have just postponed the blocksize problem, because despite we are all hurrying behind segwit, we have just achieved only a part for a massive adoption of btc. blocksize will be again a problem and already we have high (TO HIGH) tx fees. so probably segwit helping btc in these days but in long run we can't see any "real" result.
there might be more segwit that will happen. It's a continuous process since almost everyday,there's an additiinal users that adds in btc demands to increase it's value. I think segwit can always help btc to support btc abilities. It can create more adoption and awareness of this coin, and Segwit is one of the most awaited event by speculators since I think majority of people believes that there's certain good thing will be happen on these days that's why we can see the domino effect of the price when BTC lock it. And for now we should expect more pump since I really think that we can earn more money by this time. |

i am sure that bitcoin profit will bigger than bank interest because the percentage from the banks is too small and can not compare with bitcoin profits. bitcoin profits in one day can reach bank interest in a month and if bitcoin profits in a month comparing between bank interest, maybe its too big bitcoin profits.
Indeed, with trader in Bitcoin, earn profit 1% per day very easy if you have knowledge and experience about cryptocurrency market and a little luck. And only after one week if you can do that as my said, you will have profit = one year save in bank ... That's why I love tradings since it can give a huge profit that can't be given by the bank and bitcoin investments can make us more richer since we have so many options to join with where we can earn more. But on the other hand Bank are passive investments with low risk and this one would be advisable for the people who cannot afford to lose on Bitcoins sudden flactuation. |

The same type of people buying at $5000. No one thought Bitcoin can go to $5000 in 2010 or 2011, but here we are. $50k is not unreachable at all, that's around Apple Inc level of market cap.
i am thinking the same like OP that if bitcoin price reach $50k, then only rich person that could buy bitcoin and for ordinary people, they can only buy small amount of bitcoin. i think if this is happen then maybe will be any of adjustment or other coin that used to "replace" bitcoin but the meaning of "replace" here is that coin is not directly replace bitcoin position but for adjustment in the market or anything. i am having difficult to translate what i am thinking, sorry. Maybe those low profile's people could not afford that one and maybe they will just hunt some free bits to accumulate some profits around but we can rather expect that rich kiddo's will buy some of it since they will need those balance's for there rich trades and transactions around. But I think also that there would no replacement or whatsoever and the correct one we should use is the adjustment since I can make sure that people will adjust to the price based on there needs. |

But on Bittrex, I think it's not possible to put a limit sell order and a stop loss order at the same. Is it true ?

Yes bittrex does not have a stop loss feature but it is one of the best exchanges to trade alt coins right now with polo having so much trouble while withdrawing and depositing the coins,using smart phone is a personal choice and i am not comfortable using it,just use my smart phone for 2fa purposes when it comes to trading.  One of the reason why I don't want to trade on poloniex since its not friendly for mobile users thats why I grab the Bittrex and cryptopia whenever I want to trade by using my phone and also these two exchange are great for having a good trades since mostly the coins who's been listed here may got a potential to gain more value unlike to those underdog exchange where there's only few big supporters who do trades on there. |

Absolutely right, I am suppose to buy bitcoin last week but for other instances, i did not make it. As soon as i get my first payment from signature campaign, i will buy bitcoin to have a big profit. For me, if I get a payment from the signature campaign I'm not would buy Bitcoin but I will buy the altcoin (for short term trading) But I agree that Bitcoin is suitable for long-term investments. Short term trading is a good choice for you to put your money from signature campaigns because in that way you can grow your money easily and you don't need to buy bitcoins anymore because you can just do trading and generate more and more bitcoin for long term investment or holdings to earn more fiat value. Maybe it will be a good thing for him if he wisely monitor the price and buy more when the price will touch to its cheapest price to earn with short term trading with bitcoins and he shouldn't look for bitcoins only since there are so many good altcoins who's been got more potential to rise up in short instance but the thing we must do for them is to hodl for a while. |

I agree with you. I think there are no other forums that are quite similar to bitcointalk. This is an older forum and it has a lot info. But for me much better if you read in some topic in other forum because there are some idea that can helps you to make much better user of bitcoin. Do not look always on the income because this is only forum that gives big income in all members. More learnings in the way of earning in bitcoin is much better advantage in the future. Sometimes I go to the other furom to find some relevant answer on my queries since some of the information we can gather here are fuds or sometimes misleading but in some case I will still stay here since In the other furom there's no opportunity of earnings we can get there and here in bitcointalk are so many thats why people always select to stay for good. |

The simplest way to learn on tradings is to grab a guy who have more knowledge about this kind of site and learn from him and also you may find basic info on this furom and try to apply it for yourself but don't put to much money in your first trade and always apply lower amount for a test so that you will not cry if you lose and also you will learn with that for instance.

Ofcoarse bitcoin will reach 4000 dollars and if you see the price today its 4400 dollars and continue to increase in the nextfew months. So its better if you buy bitcoin and you earn a lot profit. Dont sell your bitcoin hold your bitcoin for shorterm and for longterm. You need patience if you want to earn a lot of money because if you have that you can wait until bitcoin reach their maximum price.
That was a good start for this coming new quarter and i think bitcoins price will more going to rise by september until december my prediction is $5000-5500 per bitcoins .If you want to buy now buy falling is happening then hold it until the year end or another years if you can. Price seems reach so sweet right now and this one would surely go to the 5000$ and this could be the greatest news for us to be heard since we can actually earn more profits for just little time span around of waiting!. And if this rise will continue maybe we can break the records and bitcoins will be more notice and became more strong E-currency. |

Well, hopefully the month goes to the price of $ 4500. Currently the bitcoin price has already reached $ 4000, and hopefully it will last long until the end of the year. But I know, the current bitcoin price has not stopped to go up.
With the momentum growth on Bitcoin market at now, I think even the price of Bitcoin can pass $5,000 in this month. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency make trader have many surprise, not altcoin can compete this interestesting point. Bitcoins momentum is so impressive and I'm totally surprise for these to come and I really think that this is a temporary surge and will go down soon but looks like the price of bitcoins is extremely go to its upper level and might we can really see the price well touch to its 4500$ or even on 5000$ but lets hope theirs no shaky events that will stop for this growth. |

Bitcoin price is $3000+ in Chinese Market. When do you think it will reach $4500?
If the price movement would really behave on this way then its possible to reach out that price range but it wont really be short since it would really takes months or even on next years price. We cant still be sure but theres always a possibility ,I don't know what drives for the price to rise up so fast as of these days lets say the demand is increasing but this kind of movement really worries me off. Price dips would surely happen next. Maybe the expectation of the people to rise up for more drives this price to bend up for more and for seeing this to be happen right now most provably the holders of btc are holding their coins for so long and we can actually expect for more upper thrend to be happen since the bitcoin is much supported right now. And maybe you will right for the dip but I'm so sure that price bounce will be happen since more alts are dependable with btc right now. |

well, I just hope that all investors will get back their money. I trust BTC-e. They will soon give the announcement about paying back the money to traders and investors. BTC-e is one of the biggest exchange on the internet. Although there are many accusation about illegal activities from the FBI, Many people still love BTC-e
How can they pay back their investor if the people behind the btc-e is been seized by the authority and it is very clear on some documents that they are frauds, So just think that btc-e investors will got the same faith of mtgox investors. But hopefully their would had little hole of hope that btc-e management would release some funds to give to their clients. |
