any of you SMOS guys ever run into this error:

Code:

use that "enemy" fork from tpruvot's ccminerV225 -- its quite good

be sure to include d=16 -i 19

Its also included in SMOS.

No point using AMD cards to mine RVN... its too far behind NVIDIA cards... unless you are using VEGAs

old

-a x16r -o stratum+tcp://rvn.suprnova.cc:6667 -u philipma1957new.1 -p x

new
-a x16r -o stratum+tcp://rvn.suprnova.cc:6667 -u philipma1957new.1 -p x d=16 -i 19

I am getting good results  with enemy fork   I just altered it as you suggested

core  is  130
ram   is  500
watts at 160
temp set to 70
fan set to 65

Some thoughts  one exchange = high risk

I will hold ½ coins  and sell ½ .

Seems to be promising and may pay more then  any other coin around.

I would love to see  zec  do a variation of it.

Maybe Jen will let a couple of nuggets slip...

Was busy did move six cards to rvn

Did you find out if nvidia had info worthwhile
Nvidia announced a new Quadro series, but nothing so far that would interest miners or gamers.

thanks

20604  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling gpus, used for 3 months. Escrow on: March 27, 2018, 05:20:06 PM
Hi there,
I have tried to mine ETH for 3 months
Not lucky so far and would like to sell it to get money back.
All gpus has original boxes with documents. Warranty for over a year all of it. Gpus are still in rigs so i can sell whole rigs.
We could use escrow for safe trade. Shipping to europe: 50eur up to 10kg, more kgs more money
Gpus:
Asus rx580 8gb strix x 12
MSI rx580 8gb x 8
Palit 1080ti 11gb x 6
Palit 1070 x 11
Please contact via telegram: YoungAndFr44
Will sell at market rate for what is average used gpus in europe

this should be in the marketplace I have asked for it to be moved.
20605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: March 27, 2018, 03:10:22 PM

I have it at 200 watts = 80%

Thanks!  Man, that mini is a power hungry SOB!!

Nah, it's 1080 ti's in general that want lots of power by current standards, my R9 290s tend to sniff at the power-sipping cool running noob cards.

I don't have any 295x2 or 7990 cards or others of the "2 GPU on one board" style though.

yeah  and I can drop any 1080ti down to 125 watts.  If I choose. but 135 -145 watt setting  is most efficient.
I was pushing 200 to keep house warm with cold spring this year.

I set to 150 and my sols are now 4.2  per watt
vs 3.6 per watt at 200.

I will be getting ready for summer soon and will need to set gear much lower in watts
Hey Phil, would you mind sharing the settings you're using for 125watts during hot days?

Right now I'm using 195W +50 core, +300 mems, 68 max temp and 60% fans. The cards are Palit 1080ti Gamerock premium edition. I'm getting about 700-720 sols.
I'm thinking about lowering the watts and keeping a good average sols/w.

Thank you

well  I could  say  do

130 watts tdp
100 core
450 mem
68  temp
50  fan

smos   with  dstm  or bminer for zec.

but core differs  if you have different  1080ti's as some are clocked higher

on Palit I think  100 core is high
20606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: March 27, 2018, 01:45:22 PM
I see the second hand market for gpus here in Australia starting to drop down to almost reasonable prices. Can get a rx570 for around 300-350 AUD.

In the first hand market, I mean like the online retailers, the price of nVidia is still strong and not much availability.

frankly.... 99% confidence level ..... my next GPU purchase if any, will be NVIDIA.... after the Vegas, I gave up on AMD :-(

On another topic, I ran both farms on RVN today since SMOS updated the miner list to include all the RVN miners for AMD and NVIDIA. Those 1080tis mines like a boss for RVN. This X16R algo is perhaps more suitable for NVIDIA GPUs because the 480/470s were crawling. Ran the farms only for about 6 hours and back to their normal jobs. I did however, buy a bunch of RVN from Cryptobridge and transferred them over to the Core wallet. Let's see if this RVN can buy me a used Lambo a year from now.

Is there a pool that you recommend for RVN?

Yeah looking to a find
 a pool
 b find an exchange
20607  Other / Meta / Re: Conflict of Interest on DT1 on: March 27, 2018, 12:59:26 PM
People on DT1 have a lot of control over their own trust rating.

Just add anyone that has left you positive trust to your network, making them DT2 and increasing your own trust.  :/

The trust values on DT2 are a lot more realistic, since we can't boost our trust ratings this way.

This basically shows how flawed the trust system can be not to mention leaving trust ratings for people that bought stuff from you, they didn't have to risk anything and yet they still get a positive rating?

....

My policy as a seller is the customer is always correct ie  I give a full refund zero questions asked.

Thus anyone that buys from me  can say gear is broken  I want a refund.

I also don't bother  with returns on any gear under 100 bucks.

So  this means buyers can easily lie and steal from me.

In all my sales done here over 100 of them   I had to give only 3 refunds.

I refunded a mobo shipped to canada a  cost of 170 usd   and told the guy  don't bother to return it.  So  all my buyers benefitted

from my policy. Since they were honest people treated respectfully by me.

 And zero returns  that is correct  no returns  not one. Not a single S-9, S-7 , S-5 , Avalon , S-3, S-1

1 hi end Gpu was never accepted in europe  thus it was technically not returned by the buyer.

So because I encourage honesty from my buyers  I actually get honesty from them.

That is why I do it my way.

But  I no longer give trust to people just feedbacks if the deal was good and I am not putting anyone on my trust list for the next few months .
20608  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Orion Miner - New Manufacturer - Up to 20 TH/s - SCAM!? on: March 27, 2018, 11:52:37 AM
Are u guys real and serious? It makes no sense to spend money into manufacturing a miner now for the usual algos that already have asic. Why not make an asic for a new algo that has no asic yet?  In any case, if this turns out to be real which I currently doubt, it would be great if u give one for quick demo to the respective individuals quickly. Less headache

Actually you are completely correct or totally wrong.

Downturn makes them attractive.

But I talked and I don't have the coin needed  to get in.

And what is tough about putting in money is they have a long lead time.

More then 60 days before first set of chips are ready.

They think they can make  a better product then the Dragonmint.

If I had a pocketful of cash I would take a shot as I would look to get in as a partner not a buyer.

That is why a downturn is good for a large investor that wants to be involved I would think he or they could get a good position with them.

Bring 5 million to bitmain you get nothing but a pile of gear
Bring 5 million to avalon same thing  some gear and maybe better service.
Bring 5 million to a startup like these guys maybe you get a say.
This is not for many people I know.

NJ solar rules are good you could create a solar array of 40 acres for 20 million it is a 30 year asset . this would give you
40 x 35 = 1400 kwatt 24/7/365

you could buy 1000 of these and cut a good deal since they are a startup. net money in = 22,000,000  and you would earn

276,000 a month.  100 months you would be paid off.  what you are really doing is getting a 20 million dollar solar array for free in 10 years.  At that time it would still have 15-20 years of use left to it.

While buysolar and I could build the field and the farm  we are not that rich to have the cash to do it.

But even with the shit price /diff ratio today it is still viable.

If you came to me and buysolar today with serious cash I would consider using this company as the gear supplier

but note 20 of the 22 million is the solar array only 2 million is the mining gear.

I feel is approached by a big money player I would really sit down to talk with this company and Avalon would be my other choice.   The attraction to this company would only be if I could get a foot into it as a member of the team.

If not hands down I would deal with Avalon.  But this is most likely not going to happen as I am not aware of a player looking to put in $$
20609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 27, 2018, 11:37:07 AM
I don´t think that GPU mining will die in 2018 --> On some coins that now are worth to mine with GPU yes but GPU mining will ever be present

GPU mining might not die but mining profitability is very close to die and that is ethereum which is the most profitable coin right now per whattomine charts.

#################################################################################################

How low can eth's profitability get, right now if you pay lets say $0.2 for each kw which is most of the world, earnings per day with 30mhs 24/7 is only $0.15, now take another 30% which is what usually pools steal from you then that goes to $0.10. Return of investment right now is 4000 days which is more than 10 years, how low can eth's profitability go? amazing how low it is right now. I'm so negative about things and yet I have never considered this unless asics are in the eth network which I'm 100% certain there are.

https://whattomine.com/coins/151-eth-ethash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=30.0&p=180.0&fee=2.0&cost=0.2&hcost=450.0&commit=Calculate

If this crash had happened a little after the fork lets say in November then things would not have been bad like this. The problem is bitmain and co will never remove their asics from eth network cause as each 30 mhs is giving to gpu miners only $0.10 per day, bitmain and co asics are earnings 100x  more than that.

The only way forward for eth is going pos right now or change algo, that will give profitability back a little to gpu miners or maybe the best thing is to move to hybrid pow with changed algo and pos, killing off bitmain and co asics is the only way to move forward if still pow.

a 350 watt 2 card 1080ti  now earns 2.50 usd a day  burns 8-9 kwatts  at 20 cents   that is 1.60 to 1.80 in power cost net is 70cents

x 3000 days = 2100 usd  a long time for roi.

In my case gear is paid off  so it earn 21 dollars a month after power in the summer

and power is 10 cents is the winter  so it earns  1.60 a day  at the moment   or 48 a month.

At that price I can run the gear making 21 x 5 = 105 and 48 x 7 = 336  this is a 441 profit each year.

I have 24 1080tis  so 12 x 441 = 5292 a year

but all my gear is paid off if you did not pay the gear off and you have 20 cent year round power you are fucked at the moment.

I got a postal tracking number today that may be the dragon mint or not.

have you had a chance to check if dimensions/weight are similar to the miner box with PSU box

yes and it was a false alarm

it is a parcel post lite weight item

I had an order from Amazon  and it is from that order nothing to do with this thread.
20611  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 27, 2018, 03:11:33 AM
I got a postal tracking number today that may be the dragon mint or not.

as for price  2800 needs to go lower.

IIRC  the Nov. black friday price was 1500 or less

bitmain dropped s-9 price
avalon dropped 841 price

got to figure the dragon mint will drop price.
20612  Other / Meta / Re: DT1 users may be artificially increasing their own trust (Updated March 26th) on: March 27, 2018, 12:41:16 AM
Being on DT2 shouldn't mean that user can be trusted with money.
This is horrible advice. Being in the DefaultTrust network means you will influence others as to if certain members can be trusted with money, including sockpuppets that may or may not be public.

If you are in the Default Trust network, your "sponsor" should be able to trust you with an absolute minimum of 6 figures (USD) at the drop of a hat, however $1-2 million would be much more ideal.

That doesn't make any sense. Many (perhaps most) DT members never even approach the amounts of monetary risk you're talking about.

My largest escrow was about 45k
My biggest trust was having 75k in gear at buysolar's solar array

"Analyst firm Susquehanna has cut AMD and NVIDIA's share price targets on the wake of confirmed reports on Bitmain's upcoming Ethereum ASIC. There's been talks about such a product for months - and some actual silicon steering as well that might support it. Susquehanna, through analyst Christopher Rolland in a note to clients Monday, cited their travels in Asia as a source of information.

This has brought confirmations that "(...) Bitmain has already developed an ASIC [application-specific integrated circuit] for mining Ethereum, and is readying the supply chain for shipments in 2Q18." And it doesn't seem Bitmain is the only company eyeing the doors of yet another extremely lucrative ASIC mining market: "While Bitmain is likely to be the largest ASIC vendor (currently 70-80% of Bitcoin mining ASICs) and the first to market with this product, we have learned of at least three other companies working on Ethereum ASICs, all at various stages of development.""

https://www.techpowerup.com/242717/nvidia-amd-to-face-worsening-investment-outlook-as-bitmain-preps-to-launch-ethereum-asic

The end looks to be closing up hehe, soon your gpus will be only to bake potatoes hehe

bro  those potatoes  will be forked over and over and over again.

By July 1  Both  zcash and monero  will be fucking forking fucking french fried freaking potatoes into pieces.

Asics will rue the day they attacked  gpus coins.

I look into your twisted mind and see your plan to scoop up discounted gpus  from those  that panic.  I will simply shut mine off  since they are paid for and fire them up  when the time comes to do so this July or August.

When I entered the forum, account selling was the norm. Plenty of users, DT included, were trading accounts freely.

Seems like a good time to point out that I have never bought or sold an account on this forum and personally consider such an action as fraud, regardless of what was "the norm" or at what point in time it occurred.

Well  I don't  buy or sell accounts never did don't plan on selling them.

I was offered coin for this account  did not sell it. But I think I was in Hero status at that time.

Don't remember if it was via email or pm.

So a few years back. 2015 maybe

Thanks for your response.

I will find out exact model of ups for you. But i have a question that how come its running fine on UPS on or after switch over after i click "Save configuration" while its on SAME unassumingly 208 volt ? How come it run then?

Let me again point out issue is on SWITCH OVER to and from APC. And while its shifted entirely to APC when i click "Save Configuration" in S9 config it just restart itself and start hashing on the same supposedly 208 volt.

How would you explain that?

The onset surge is too high.   An easy way to see if I am right attach 2 boards and the controller one 1 s-9  the psu will not have an onset surge as big.

an l3 and an a3 both come no where  close to 1400 watts

the s-9  does

but a 2 board s-9 will work if I am right

btw  if I am wrong I have zero clue on what to do for you

and it will work

Yeah part of this thread discussion is so stupid,
I don't think we have to suspect -ck's integrity after all the good job he has done for the community.

I think that Halong and MyRig are legit and can be trusted, but I would love to see two things:
I would love to see Halong open that secrecy curtain and act in quite same fashion as Canaan.
I would love to see Phil receive an unit for receive. Hopefully they send him one soon.

no worries they will.

as for trusting -ck or  someone screaming scam scam scam  I know who I trust. (-ck)

The gear exists and we soon shall see how the service is.  Which is more important since asics are getting closer to the silicon limits.

and I have been deleted from this topic 17 or 18 times and I can post all the messages I am pretty sure -ck was not modding me it was frodo

and most posts were off topic.

I am using APC XL heavy duty ups
i am using APW3++ Bitmain official power supply

your answer lacks info.

but this is a ballsy mofo below

https://www.amazon.com/APC-SURT10000XLT-4-Outlet-Hardline-Uninterruptible/dp/B0002MKC2W/ref=sr_1_5?

is this yours?

https://www.schneider-electric.com/en/product/SURT10000XLT_APC/apc-smart-ups-rt-10000va-208v/

it provides 208 volts  and   your psu  at 208 volts  lack enough juice to run the s-9

208/220 x 1600 = 1512 watts  max

maybe

208/240 x 1600 =  1386 watts max

so  if you want  to run s-9's  with a 208 volt ups  you may need this psu

Has anyone got an update for batch 1 shipping?

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no one who has received  substantial delivery of T1 in the field?

No one has shown a clear review of the gear.

I have been contacted by both Halong  and MyRig about my shipping address which I have provided to both of them.

I am hopeful to get a tracking number from them this week.
