It's really hard to get a simple answer for some questions.

I don't know understand why Yoshi agrees on kicking me out of the Dragonmint telegram chat.
I still see that as a act of sensorship, I'm not able to re-join the chat. So it was a permanent ban.

I don't see why my questions are so f*cking irritating to them.  Huh

I have shown clear evidence to back my comments, I haven't posted anything based on some kind of a hunch.
Funny detail also that MyRig is now taking Innosilicon hardware for repair.

Well well well, look at this news:

Quote from: Slush Pool
Our block #514882 is the first-ever block mined using the active version-rolling aka overt AsicBoost. According to the available evidence, it was mined by @HalongMining hardware. Congrats to lucky miner from Guangdong, China
https://blockchain.info/block/0000000000000000003aeeeb86c897beda31ee4ec48741828f938b7c1be5cf3d
https://twitter.com/slush_pool/status/977499667985518592

Hashrate is reported as 16th/s by Slush. So It wasn't a scam after all. Or should we wait till we see the actual product?

So it was the "actual Dragonmint" that found the block??? Seems very convenient. When you say "reported by Slush", is it really Slush? Or a conglomerate of business officials who control Slush Pool??? Very likely the latter, since Slush is a Corporate Entity at this point, who would like to get more users from the coattails of a new technology, from a vague company. At least,  -ck announced they were "burning in" Dragonmint miners on his pool. He hit 2 blocks yesterday, and didn't boast this blatant claim, for the purpose of beggars marketing.
I hit quite a few blocks on testnet with these quite some time ago, which rolled the version, confirming they worked fine. Halong have been sending half their burnin hashrate to slush and half to ckpool. This is, however, the first version rolled block on mainnet. Coincidentally ckpool.org found two blocks yesterday but neither were version rolled blocks as they were found by the ckpool.org core hasher who is running regular hardware. Slush did indeed find the first block then and, well, he runs a business in his pool and definitely uses publicity to his advantage - posts everywhere on twitter, reddit etc. What he did not advertise was that he was still using the early mask for rolling which we agreed to change quite some time ago, hence the *fff00 version that it rolled to, neither has he updated his documentation to reflect the BIP. Slush has a history of not really adhering to an RFC process, alas.

It's also worth noting that 1 in 4 blocks solved by these will not have a rolled version anyway.

I can tell you the factory floor is working its arse off trying to measure each board for quality, consistency, and reliability. First runs of silicon are always troublesome in this way and while there are thousands of these things already manufactured, it's taking longer than planned (what doesn't?) I'm not making any excuses for them as I've said before since I'm not invested in them, but I'm involved where possible to try and help this process on the software end. Small nm silicon is much more difficult to deal with than older technology.

Was it "actually with the Dragonmint"Huh I understand it's "business" with his pool. Kinda my point. However, the publicity, may be false. You in fact know, and published, who hit the blocks in your pool. Wetsuit. We get it. Where is Slush's proof??? I follow you on Twitter, and you post who found it as a "props" to the "-ck pool"user who helped----with proof. Where is the "proof" of the SLUSH user that is a Dragonmint??? Yes, they found a block. Pfffft! Who found it??? Wetsuit found yours, Who found Slush's block??? Marketing is a game of PROOF, and suckers fall for "Big Corporate Names". I trust in you -ck, that Wetsuit found YOUR POOLS' block, but what about Flush???

Not saying there isn't a product, but the Marketing may, in fact, be a Sham. Corporate Bull Honkie!!!

Nah, I appreciate your trust in me and my pool, but I have no doubt it was found on Slush's pool from a T1. It would take far too much effort to orchestrate a fake version rolled block and the mask matches what Slush pool is advertising at the moment. Regular pools move very conservatively. There isn't that much burn in hashrate yet so it was fairly lucky to find a block this early on but you overestimate them  Wink

With this information, I trust in YOU -ck, (goddammit as much as I hate corporate bullsh*t) that it was found. However,  if  you(user) use this "asicboost" technology,  use it at a Pool that gives 2 shits about the Health of Bitcoin!!! I cannot STRESS that enough.

Slush is GONE!!! IT'S NOT his pool!!! Stay Away From Corporate Pools!!! YOU WILL LOSE PROFIT!!!

Best to just wait for phillip review. There are others who have also said they have not received their dragonmint on twitter. It is probably real but it is better to be prudent still. Slush tweeted that their EH went above 3EH but it is about 5% below 3 now which is abit odd.

If inno is dragon, it may not want to associate itself with dragon. The dragon T1 competes with bitmain S9. Inno probably doesnt want bitmain retaliating by flooding their current algos with competition. Thus, it would be best if it was someone else competing with bitmain. This is on the assumption that it is real. Currently it is still vaporware. Online posts are the only evidence of its existence.

Has anyone got an update for batch 1 shipping?

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no one who has received  substantial delivery of T1 in the field?

No one has shown a clear review of the gear.

I have been contacted by both Halong  and MyRig about my shipping address which I have provided to both of them.

I am hopeful to get a tracking number from them this week.

I have 10 on order in batch 1. They have been quick to respond to my inquiries about the late shipment and supposedly my order will ship today. I'll follow-up again tomorrow if I don't get a tracking number. As soon as I get mine up and running I'll be sure to post a review and photos to put people's minds at ease. Hopefully someone beats me to the punch though as I wouldn't mind my mind being put at ease sooner.

How do you know if this the original cobra we knew? (owner of this forum and bitcoin.org) I am asking this because the twitter account associated with cobra was created only a few months ago (Oct 2017) and he is talking nonsense too. Tbh, he acts like a major troll and I think these are just fake accounts created by Bitmain/Roger to fool people.

I wouldn't take anything seriously coming from these accounts unless theymos himself confirms that he is him.

Per Telegram -- by Drak - "All March T1 orders should be shipped by Tuesday 28 March" Yeah I know, Tuesday is the 27th... Most people are being told all shipping will occur between today and tomorrow for Batch 1 of DragonMint T1/T16 (same product).

Have you not noticed the ridiculous and incredibly inconsistent behaviour that character's been displaying?

A few weeks back he was calling for an algorithm change to save us from miners. Then he decided BCH, with its one and only miner, was now Bitcoin after all.

Whatever cred was once there is now lost in a fog of doubt and drivel.

My batch 1 order (Order # 4xx) still shows status "Processing", as it has since I placed the order. I'll post here if that changes.

Censorship policy, that's a good one. We call it following the forum rules, and I'm not the only moderator here and don't recall doing any moderation of this particular thread either. Buuuut if you don't want to believe someone who has a public profile that can be tracked down to their home address that's been on btctalk for almost 7 years and a decade before that in linux kernel development in the public eye and ... all the rest, that's your call.

Yeah part of this thread discussion is so stupid,
I don't think we have to suspect -ck's integrity after all the good job he has done for the community.

I think that Halong and MyRig are legit and can be trusted, but I would love to see two things:
I would love to see Halong open that secrecy curtain and act in quite same fashion as Canaan.
I would love to see Phil receive an unit for review* (*typo brainfart fixed). Hopefully they send him one soon.

no worries they will.

as for trusting -ck or  someone screaming scam scam scam  I know who I trust. (-ck)

The gear exists and we soon shall see how the service is.  Which is more important since asics are getting closer to the silicon limits.

and I have been deleted from this topic 17 or 18 times and I can post all the messages I am pretty sure -ck was not modding me it was frodo

[....] I don't think we have to suspect -ck's integrity after all the good job he has done for the community. I think that Halong and MyRig are legit and can be trusted [....]

I am now convinced that I will receive the DragonMint miners that I ordered in January (Batch 2). The primary reason I believe so is that -ck posted comments in this thread that convinced me. Slush Pool and Jan Čapek's tweets also helped to convince me. (See https://twitter.com/slush_pool/status/977499667985518592 and also https://twitter.com/janbraiins/status/978348386255556608.)

My getting to this place of (qualified) trust in the DragonMint was a long road. I know that -ck is a real person with an established track record. I agree he's done great work for the community, and I trust him. On the other hand, what Halong Mining said -- or, rather, what Halong didn't say -- didn't help me at all.

Having said all of the above, it remains clear that Halong Mining is not operating in the way that legitimate businesses operate for all the reasons I've stated in this thread. Even so, I recognize that, despite all the valid issues many still have with Halong Mining, it may deliver to us a functioning miner. It's a shame that Halong has chosen to operate in this unacceptable manner, because the industry is ripe to see competition against Bitmain. The angst that Halong Mining has caused its customers by outright refusing to provide proof of product, its lack of transparency, and its lack of compliance with business norms is inexcusable. Halong Mining has destroyed its own brand equity. I will absolutely never buy from Halong Mining again.
