2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sportsbet.io, do you allow the use of VPNs? on: July 23, 2020, 08:07:42 PM
You probably should ask the support as your question is directed to sportsbet.io, that if you want to get a clear answer.
There is a reason why they did not put that on the FAQs coz it is a clear call that it ain't. Using VPN is prohibited and risky, since VPN is shared through different users it is not impossible to you guys be on the same platform, both accounts will be flagged for fraudulent activities. Worst is that you real IP will be banned or any hardware ban, idk if they can do that but that's it.

Actually, I heard a lot of people saying that VPN is an easy way to bypass the countries IP restriction on a certain gambling site, but you know it's against the TOS as there's a restriction in the first place, so it's up to you know if you will still choose to violate, you might not get jailed but your account will be their hostage IMO.
Why some people can't just utilize what they got? they don't need to bypass any restriction set by the platform, those rules has been talked between legal procedures on different countries, they could be jailed for that action.
2082  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: July 23, 2020, 06:34:44 PM
what happen to your old thread?  Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore
I thought my mind is tricking me or something after I read the title, coz I know but I'm not sure that I already commented on this yet I didn't see my name and it was just posted NOW. Thank you for helping me calm lmao

its all the same that you are saying here. you might just close this and continue posting to that threat. i believe you that it might not reach its all time high but you know time can tell what could happen in the end.  we shall see in the future what could happen. maybe or maybe not.
It's a complete shit when you re-post or duplicated your own thread it's like punching yourself and asking why does it hurt. You did even just copy and paste your old thread. In case you don't know how to find your last topic posted, coz I believe and I hope that you do, just go to your profile look under the "additional information" and you'll see the link for your posted topics, no need to duplicate it, and if you don't mind read my comment on there  Wink
2083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Crypto crash the system? on: July 22, 2020, 09:01:18 PM
Crypto will never crash  the system and replace money, at least not in north america.Everything is enforced by laws, like a law that tax needs to be paid in cash, on all items, no matter what the person pays with.Sometimes it feels like people think if we all go crypto, money is somehow going to be free, and life is going to be so much easier, I don't think that's true.
As if it was designed to be that system destroyer lol. This is what most of people don't know about, and does not care that much with crypto. Crypto as an alternative was never meant to replace fiat, systems we have now won't work with the absence of fiat, and this why the creation of crypto was intended to be just an alternative to work along with the fiat coz there are times that fiat is inconvenient to use wherein crypto could just be a several clicks away. And by the way it isn't just to North America.

Imagine if you could only buy bread with crypto, and some billionaire buys a large amount of crypto the night before, the next morning your bread will cost twice as much.In other words its a rare resource, basing prices on crypto doesn't make sense. It can represent money all day long, and have value based on the dollar, but I don't think it can be money, unless governments just make digital cash for us, that doesn't jump too much.
What you trying to look for is putting a decentralized system on the real situation where we already live, it's like believing that one day bitcoin will be our universal currency. That's what you sounds like mate.

Who regrets about the pizza that was bought with bitcoin in 2011?
2084  Other / Meta / Re: Do you check the merit history of users before meriting them? on: July 22, 2020, 07:49:25 PM
If the user whose post I initially wanted to merit is a merit hoarder, that is enough for me to change my mind and look for other posts.
Eh, I say if they want to hoard their sMerits, that's their business and I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with that--nor would that factor into my decision as to whether to give someone like that merits.
Yeah, even myself don't merit usually since I am seeing an old topics for discussion, some is expected as I've seen it on the news, I would just merit someone if it is really fascinating on my end. I must say it is not hoarding of sMerits they have nothing to earn from it far from what is hoarding is. Be appreciative dude.

And no, I don't check anything like that when I'm handing out merits.  The primary consideration is whether the post I'm reading had some effort put into it and is helpful/useful/entertaining.  A secondary consideration is whether the poster needs merits to rank up.  I do end up meriting a lot of Legendary members, but I've withheld a lot of merits from posts made by Legendaries simply because I prefer to help deserving members rank up.

And merit isn't just for the rank, if not so why legendaries are still eligible to receive one? you see it is not really for the rank sake, it is for the who really deserves it. Checking one's history before meriting is bothering, coz what if he oppose on something you believe in? you will not continue to give him merit?
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal and Mastercard are very close to integrate crypto’s payments!!! on: July 22, 2020, 06:31:10 PM
It is a good news for crypto adoption worldwide and I see opportunities that cryptocurrency can solve the charge back problems on PayPal.
Is it a good news for worldwide crypto adoption or is it good news for PayPal adoption? Because it doesn't really look like we're helping crypto much in this case..
It is good for both paypal and crypto I guess since there will be people that would look for crypto in paypal if this happens, more likely we will be seeing a bunch of newbies in the crypto scene, the opening would be the paypal. The most negative I can think of about this is that scammers now will use paypal as their front, so we need to spread awareness as early as now to prevent any conflicts between paypal and user/new user. This might also be the eye opener for those who are using conventional currency such as fiat, once a known and giant company opens this, it would be trending.

The only positive side is that you'll most likely be able to purchase BTC even as a complete newbie, and way easier than having to go through the pretty high amount of hassle you have to go through when learning about wallets, seeds, keys etc. But otherwise, this piece of information doesn't get me excited even a bit.
I think we already have enough people for this, knows what the importance of wallet, hardware and software etc. We are just expecting a bunch of newbies that will probably use paypal for storing crypto they will offer. As much of a local wallet, what do you think?
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ask]; Start betting on horse racing gambling. on: July 22, 2020, 05:34:35 PM
Hello everyone.

Sorry everyone, not reply, but I read all of your suggestions, these past few days, I have to focus on the horse racing game.

The ideas & suggestions that you give here are really useful to me in 'horse racing' bets, this is very memorable for me because it's only the beginning I started betting on horse racing.

It's been three days I started betting, the first day makes me have a headache, the second day is a bit lead & the third day seems pretty decent, this is really a stressful experience for me.

I got a lot of information here, thanks to all of you, I also followed these 4 tips: 4 Tips for Betting at Horse Racing Horse Racing System and Top Betting Strategies That Do Win, can also help me in the match.

It's true that people say, everything must be tried & proven, how can we know the results while we have never tried.
Bet on horse racing, nice experience...!
I must say a good job for not losing though it is your first time, I haven't tried betting on a horse race yet but I really find it stressful coz you got to know first the horses and the rider, you need to make history checks so you'll have a basis on your bet. This is also why I don't engage in car racing, this looks the same as horse racing, don't need to stress myself that much haha anyways I'm looking forward to try this one, this looks cool tho. but I think winnings are lesser than when you play on dice lol
2087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin never a ponzi on: July 22, 2020, 05:11:04 PM
No need to argue with those people that keeps on telling that bitcoin is a ponzi. There's probably a reason why they are butthurt and keeps on telling that bitcoin is like that. And the reason that we can think of is that they've missed buying the dip.
Don't tell them that Satoshi is just waiting for the price to get $1,000,000 before running away, let's keep our mouth shut about this plan okay? HAHAHA I still don't know why we need to argue about this really, after a decade of full success? $0.1 to $20000 to $9000, yet being called as ponzi, sucks. Those people who believe that bitcoin is a ponzi scam is probably believing their economist friend, " bitcoin will pop soon ", yeah okay nice prediction, so when it will popped out? dang

They can also think that if bitcoin is a ponzi then satoshi is the first one that's only going to make money yet he's not. But where he is? he even left an enormous wealth in the network and no one even know where he is.
He even left his work with us, people these days better be thinking right, who'll make profit out of this scam, it's even decentralized *facepalm*
2088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technical analysis won't help you find the next 100x on: July 21, 2020, 09:04:55 PM
If you think that technical analysis will you so much facing the market's volatility you're probably be dreaming. Technical analysis won't work on decentralized network, who could have known my move? your move? whales move? and how will they move if they are so predictable? and a 100x, you'll just get this on leverage trading which is a very risky trade mode. Do your own analysis of the market, don't rely to someones prediction it would be futile for your own good if you base your decision on others. Know when to ride, don't just follow, make your own waves!
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 21, 2020, 08:08:34 PM
I rarely gamble nowadays but everytime I play I use bitcoin (though most of us prefer other coins with low fees in transaction).

Then eth is my alternative however this past few days eth fees are increasing too.
Most of all the casino only have bitcoin on their supported cryptocurrencies, some do have both bitcoin and ethereum so players would have a choice which crypto they would take to play in, then there are some ethereum only. For me I mainly use bitcoin whenever I gamble, I don't know why maybe because I get used to gamble with it since bitcoin is just everywhere BUT, here's the but, whenever bitcoin is on fire I just choose ethereum coz transaction fee to pay during bitcoin congested network is going to heaven, no one's really wanna pay for such a high fee, they'll hardly make some time in casino to gain those back.

But now I will use xrp.
None of my house casino have XRP I don't know why, does someone here is playing with XRP instead of eth and btc? coz actually eth can do better.
2090  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 06:01:11 PM
I see that your title is misleading to what you are really trying to imply, I was hoping that there is something relevant to the ATH or personal analysis of the price. But then it was all the historic misconception about it.

THere are some things that I find a hinder to the bitcoin reaching its all time high again, one of that is the number of speculators, since we already got a bunch of people in the community there are times that the speculation is above the standard,  mass speculation always turns to opposite since every one is afraid of losing an inch of increase will be a matter of decision of the mass.

Pero dapat natin isure that our mentor have a lot of experiences and he is not part or belong to the self proclaimed gurus.

Maraming tao ang slow ang pag-aaral nila kapag hindi sila natuturuan in person or in 1 on 1. Sa mentors kasi, 1 on 1 ang usapan. Mas madali kang matututo kasi maaari mo silang tanongin on the spot, sila na din mag eexplain ng mga complicated terms na maaaring hindi mo maintindihan sa internet. Sila na din mag cocompile ng mga, learning materials or tips and tricks para madali mong maintindihan ang mga topics.
Yeah sa tingin it will relly depend sa to kung gusto nya matuto, marami namang reading material sa online e so kung gusto nya matututo lang sila ng libre. Same sa mga onlines classes, feeling ko kakayanin naman kung online ang pag-aaral given na bibigyan ng mga material, pero yung iba sinasabe na hindi daw kaya, well I  think hindi nila kaya kase di nila nakasayan. So tingin ko ang pagkatuto in general ay nakadepende tlaga sa tao kung gusto ba o hindi.
Though personally, mas gusto kong matuto ng walang personal mentors but mentors would still be a great help.
Mentors would be a great help, since na experience na nila you can avoid it na to prevent such any losses. Personal choice naman ang pagkuha ng mga mentor, just like sa gym pwede ka kumuha ng personal trainer na maguiguide sayo.
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How important is decentralisation to you? on: July 20, 2020, 08:40:56 PM
I don't think it will have too much of an impact from the perspective of gamblers.
hmmm I guess not.

Decnetralisation is certainly one of the big draws of crypto, and a principal reason for its superiority over fiat. But... just looking at bitcoin, we all know that the price is a lot higher now than when it started. The rising price brings new people into bitcoin, in expectation of profit. Whilst decentralisation is still a key motivator to a lot of people, there are plenty more, probably the majority, who just want profit irrespective of the medium. I don't think a semi-centralised dapp for alt gambling will have a problem.
Decentralization matters the most for some gamblers who don't want to show their identity for some reason, I see one though not official gambling is seen as vice and not a form of entertainment, it forms a social  condemnation coz they see it as a bad habit or just a waste of money, and most of us don't want and don't need to be disrespected due to this. So that's why decentralization is a key for some casino who has a lot of user.
2093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange - No kyc - 100x leverage on: July 20, 2020, 07:09:28 PM
Did the OP created an account just to post this? probably a member already here that wants to promote the website he then registered account to do the job in case of any unwanted reaction from us.

50% fee discounts, I don't believe on those they would just give you double the fee you needed, cut it in half then that's your fee discount lol.

How come that after your funds is liquidated it won't be zero? that's not liquidated if that's the case, you're probably have a stop loss setting for that.

And why do you need a VPN to register? something's unusual in here tho hmmm.
2094  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 20, 2020, 05:42:03 PM
Well first off what country are you even referring to? This is a global forum. Also, you're right, business is hurting all around there is no question about that.  My own career has come under great fire of late, people aren't able to transact like normal in large part.

However, you're money is not all going to go away in the stock market.  You're wrong, that's simply not going to happen.  With earnings reports for Quarter 2 continue to roll in we could see a massive drop in markets, but markets always come back.  If they dont? Well, then we've got the apocalypse.

It does not matter what country ...the same situation is global ...don't look at the numbers in the papers and news , look at life around you ... life on tv is different then life in reality ...
How come that the country won't matter on the things you said, have you been to different countries during this time? Here in my country it seems like the business is doing fine, I've already some shops reopened as most of the states here gave a guideline in opening amidst the covid, so it is more like normal days with extra precautions. Private sector is dead? funny.

stock markets is nothing without  business ... it's just fake money ...if people don't buy goods / services ...the stock market is worthless.
But the thing is people will never stop buying goods and services lol. better to think about it first  Cheesy
2095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: building a crypto criminal database on: July 20, 2020, 04:43:42 PM

Its easy to track they say.  Its their project so if they can track criminals and put it in a database then tis their call. Blockchain tracks can be used to build cases and proof just how as we find it useful in finance.

Korean exchanges and probably the rest of the exchanges in Asia like Binance had already grabbed a lot of information from us as part of their database to scrape.

Yes and that surprises me! I know bitcoin is not completely anonymous. But unless and until the money is flown into a regulated business like exchanges, payment services, it's very difficult to track the sender. So this bold statement is really surprising. Quote from the article below,
Exchanges can freeze an account if anything needs to be investigated, you can actually see this on their terms and conditions, by this authority ( cyber crime group ) can enter the scene to look for something shady in relation to any crime that can be committed online. Tracking is easy, in fact every one can do this since the blockchain is publicly stored however the tracing for who is the one using the address is nearly impossible, I haven't heard any one that has been tracked because they located their IP, just remember the fact that IP can be faked using VPNs.

2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oldest scam in the book can help you make money on: July 20, 2020, 03:44:30 PM
When there is a sentence of "send 1000$, and I will double it", people must stay away from that because that is not true and that will get your money without giving it back to you. But as always, many people will feel greed to see the amount, and it seems, the word "I will double it" attract them to send the money to the scammers. That is an old scam that still works today, and many people still have the interest to try it, whether it's in the online world or the offline world. Please don't send anything. Otherwise, you will get a scam from them.
They don't directly said that "I will double it" neither they use to specify the amount. They ask people to send any amount and they will return them double of that as a giveaway to their fan. They used to specify time limit as well so that the people who is going to fall in their trap does have less time to verify that the offer is legit or not. An example

The image says "All bitcoin sent to our address below will be sent back to you doubled". That will attract people, especially new people, because they want to earn bitcoin in a short time. As soon as people send their bitcoin to them, the limit time will be over, and the scammers will not send it back to them.
And who would believe on such thing like that? can't even pick a penny in the sidewalk of new york, now they want double of how much they sent, embarrassing. This scam has been for ages, yet there are still people who'd fall for this one, isn't it that the problem is with awareness? coz people becoming more of opportunity grab lately they did not really know what it's like to be on this industry.
Most people who got scammed are the newcomers. If you're an oldies in this industry and got scammed by that schemed then you're greedy and noob.
The scheme sounds suspicious even if it is from the famous people. They should have done some research before putting their money into something like this.
That is because new people don't have much knowledge about crypto, and they can easy to get scam. If they can hold for a while and search for more news, I think they can be able to prevent the scammers because they know what the truth is. Maybe there is a little information about how the scammers will take their money so they can easily to get a scam.
Awareness is all we need, we can get it through reading not just technically. Wake up it's 2020, the next time you'll see a post in a twitter that looks like that give it some report to the twitter, none of that is legit!
2097  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin's price, at ang ating mental health. on: July 19, 2020, 08:43:47 PM
There was this news that always sticks to my mind after knowing about it and it haunts me up to this day. Somewhere in Parañaque City, there was this guy who killed his whole family before committing suicide and when the police investigated the case they had found out that the guy took a massive loan and is not able to pay for the said loan amounting to millions of pesos. That drove him to kill his family - wife and kids, and then take his life after. Very sad news for someone who is depressed because of financial problems. For me it is not the end of the world. If you fail, move on and learn the lessons of life.
So anong connect nito sa bitcoin? Could have been more connected if nalulong sya sa trading, then he loaned for it just to get lose again but that's not the case of what have you told. Irrelevant to this thread I guess.

But then there's the mental health problem, sa pilipinas di to masyadong big deal kasi madami nag iisip sa atin na ' kaartehan' lang ito kasi di na eexperience ng iba. I get anxious too, especially sa mga situation na hindi ideal for me but then I can contain myself within the moment, just need to focus onto something bright. That is a heartbreaking news tho.

2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 19, 2020, 07:54:18 PM
What about gambling platforms in crypto space? They are almost complete scam projects and even those that works today have team that are dubious and they can rob you of your jackpot rewards, I've seen such claim where someone earned 1 BTC and the team sent him 0.5btc telling him to manage it. Lol
That sounds strange as fuck, there are indeed sketchy casinos out there but most crypto casinos that passed the test of time are legit WAY more legit than any physical one. Even some new ones are cool.
Sending 0.5btc after winning 1btc? that must be a half scammed lol. Anything that revolves around here can be used by a scammer, anything that can communicate to other person can actually be a tool for them to use for scamming, and yes even casinos can be a scam too, this is why we have a reputation and Scam accusation section to report those. These days scams are evolving to the point that you can't distinguish which is which between the legitimate ones. My advice? don't be too adventurous you might click a bait  Wink
2099  Other / Meta / Re: AI writing messages on Bitcointalk.org on: July 19, 2020, 07:08:55 PM
Unless theymos gonna make or use AI which can detect whether a message is written by AI/not, there's nothing much we could do aside from reporting posts that doesn't make sense.
Using bots isn't even against the rules.
So we gonna change the rules?

I'm impressed that the linked article was entirely AI.

Especially with the recent work from home, your own cloud AI can apply for thousands of jobs per minute pretending to be you, and since you don't have to show up in person anyway, your AI can maintain dozens of jobs Cheesy
Yes and we gonna be useless I guess. We are working to build the AI in order for it to work for us.

Imagine the forum full of AI, interactions won't be as natural as it is now. I see the world leading by technology, AIs definitely but I don't think it would not be good for us if we come AI dependent.

Plus if it happens, then say goodbye to the signature campaigns, project campaign won't be effective anymore and if the project want to advertise they are just gonna create their bots to do the job for them.
2100  Economy / Economics / Re: India-China border tensions on: July 19, 2020, 04:45:36 PM
China is basically taunting the whole world about their power nowadays. They are very strong both in military but everything else as well. I just read about them like "Nazis that are more advanced in technology" and that is basically a correct explanation on what they are doing. First it was their own people they took, next it was the Muslims in their nation that they took and now they are attacking other nations.
Been noticing this a lot too, it seems like China is bullying everybody else, I've read lately about the tension in the south China sea near in the Philippines where China already built an artificial island, the equipment was brought by their warship simply not to be interfered in the sea while traveling. Then there's this tension in the Indian border,  I do feel like China wants something to happen. They first entered a trade war between US, something is really happening.

By the most logical thing, if they keep attacking other nations like this such as India, Hong Kong and other places, eventually there will be a response from all over the world. The world usually doesn't care what you do in your own nation even if you kill tens of millions of people because it is your own nation so why should we care but the moment you set out of your borders, it is a war.
This is not impossible to happen, but I think China is so smart about these things, they keep dwelling by the book that's why a war isn't surging yet, once they got off the book then let's expect something bad to happen.
