Well, my opinion is the selectors are working more up close and personal with Virat Kohli compared to us people just talking about him and analyzing his gameplay. So the selectors will know better what to do with him. Or at least I like to think they know better. In India, good cricketers are counted as very important personnel. They are representing their country so if they are doing the job well they are often thought of as elite-level citizens. I am not saying that anything of this should influence the selectors to select Virat Kohli for the team. I am also not trying to defend Virat Kohli. I am just saying that there is a process and maybe BCCI is going through that with Virat Kohli.

I appreciate the transparency and honesty of the analysis. Yes, I agree, but I am just trying to point out that things could probably be improved. And by that I mean maybe ICC can always think about how to make the DLS system more effective. I think that it would be helpful to be able to input the weather conditions as well as the pitch condition in order to give a more accurate target. They don’t necessarily have to completely abandon the current DLS method. But they can obviously work on making it better.

I obviously don’t think that is too much to ask. If they want to bring in another suitable solution, it is fine by me but that is going to be time-consuming and with a redesigned system, new problems will rise. But that is not going to be the case if they simply upgrade the DLS system.

Few decades back there was a golden chance for them as they can emerge as one of the best team in Africa and able to fight for their best results against other top teams but sadly due to Boards inner politics and having poor management they lost too many quality players those leave cricket and now Zimbabwe is in dilemma with most chances they can't recover and will stay on this level for long time because corruption is main issue for them and authorities are doing nothing for this even they are not caring about players and their domestic set up which need some good backup and better infrastructure for having good players in their main stream.

Looking for the decider match between West Indies and New Zealand. In the second game New Zealand made the easy win and managed to tie the series 1-1. In that match Finn Allen made a tremendous performance scoring 96 runs while the entire team struggled to perform. The target looked chaseable, but the opening order of West Indies weren't good to carry the responsibility. If they play in such a way this match too gonna be loss for them. A win in this match is much important for West Indies, because winning the series adds 10 World Cup Super League points.

In Bangladesh obviously, the tracks are designed to be made for the benefit of Bangladeshi players, and in Ireland vice versa. If the matches are played in Bangladesh, even though Bangladesh is not in the most ideal situation right now, I feel like Bangladesh is going to win against Ireland. Just because of that home-ground advantage.

But if the matches are played in Ireland I have my doubts about Bangladesh. The situation in Bangladesh cricket is not favorable at all right now and Ireland will obviously be trying to take advantage of the situation. And it is true that even though Bangladesh has come a long way, Bangladesh is still dependent on certain players to win the match. Just like Ireland.

I also think that I can say that in the ICC corruption runs very deep and that statement is not gonna be very wrong. ICC could have gotten out of this situation if they did not have so many corrupt personnel. And some personnel in the ICC have direct contact and good relations with the personnel of certain boards. So for obvious reasons, those cricket birds are going to be favored heavily instead of the others. And most of the associate teams are just some jokes because you cannot form a national team without having one native player. If you think you really don’t have any other option instead of making a team without a single native player you don’t need to or deserve to play cricket.

About! Asia cup. The only match that I am interested and want to put my money in it is the one that will happen on Aug 28   between India vs Pakistan. I am sure this match will have a close outcome as this match requires nerves and handle the pressure. I am sure Virat Kohli will be part of the team and if he is good he will deliver, otherwise their is  a good chance of him getting kicked off.

The second match between Zimbabwe and India is also going to be completely one-sided. India won the toss and decided to field. After losing 6 wickets in 29 overs, Zimbabwe collected only 107 runs. Despite performing well against Bangladesh, Sikandar Raja failed in both matches against India. Zimbabwean opener Kaitano returned to the fold with 7 runs from 32 balls. The biggest problem in my opinion for Ireland is they got a start, each of the batsmen had a start to their innings but they could not carry on. Lack of meaningful partnership was a problem for them. It maybe unintentional. Shakib probably thought that what he was doing is legal and his manager didn't informed him about the finer details. Anyway, this is a closed chapter. Without much mud slinging, the issue was resolved. BCB reacted in a more mature way this time, and Shakib also did the right thing by quickly pulling out from the deal. I hope that from now onwards, the BCB won't create unnecessary issues by preventing him from playing in franchise leagues. He is nearing his retirement, and it is his right to earn a decent amount before he does that.

With some players this is the reality. Many others are much interested into franchise cricket and that too reason for players to get retired earlier. If we take count of the franchise cricket, it goes on. The latest being the franchise cricket by South Africa and UAE.
