Here is a useful tool I found during a quick search: http://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/status/

It appears to be a website which allows you to enter the IP address of your Minecraft server to determine whether or not it is running correctly. Whether it works correctly or not, I cannot say. However, from a first glance, it does seem to have some promise.

I suggest you try it out and report back. Good luck with the Minecraft server!
Thanks! I'll try it.

Edit: yay! My server appears to be working!

Connecting to the FibreDark network will soon be an option selectable form within the wallet. No need to run different wallet.

From is spelt wrong.  Shocked

I have just started a minecraft server for my friends but unfortunately none of them are at their computers.

I need to see if they actually are able to connect to the server so if you would like to help me test my sever please PM me and I will tell you the IP address.

Thanks for helping!

MOTO NEEDS MANY MORE MINERS!

Considering how it is both fun and profitable to mine it (the exact opposite of most coins, IMO.  Even HUC is only fun and not very profitable!) it is surprising that we still face this situation several weeks in.

Any suggestions?
We need to start some kind of promotional campaign. Those who hold large amounts of moto can offer reward for this. Psychocoin already started to do things like this, he started a twitter account, made new subreddit, I was paying him from premine, but then bots gone crazy, price dropped etc. We can also do giveaway.
If we got onto poloniex then we could do a giveaway on there. That always gets good attention.

We all users request you start your own thread. Most of us don't need that crap from you. I also suggest how hard it is for you to move on, I see you support that other coin, stay with that coin.

Dev, please delete his posts here, let him start another thread.  Angry Angry Angry
So you know this coin is a scam and you still support it? Why?
It isn't crap. It's the truth. Block explorers don't lie.

I know you have told me before that if I make the code changes you will accept it. The only way I could really fix this coin would be to do a coin swap. But I guess you wouldn't want me to anyway.
Hai kid..SELL all your VC coin NOW kid, if you think you have Problem with VC
This is a serious problem. I am leaving. You are so ignorant.

OpenBazaar and it’s dependencies are around 5 GB, so we recommend 7 GBs or more

Can anyone expand on this? Because that seems... crazy. Like, wtf.

(Maybe they are including the Linux OS in that calculation?)

Also, is there a reason their install tutorial uses a VPS? Is always-on a requirement?
No, you are reading the wrong tutorial, a VPS with 7GB or more HD space is for nodes and not clients.
For linux and OSX only right now. Here is what you want :
https://blog.openbazaar.org/openbazaar-beta-1-0-tutorial/
Not for amateurs but people with some computer knowledge at this stage.

Weird, I typed exactly the same commands into terminal and it couldn't get OpenBazaar to run.
Maybe it's because I didn't put it into the home directory.

In case some people missed my post a few pages back:

I know many people may want their Fibre Os to look like this:

Thankfully it is possible and this is how:

For this to work, you'll need to extend the size of your usb partition to fit the extra GUI onto it. It's very easy if you follow the instructions below.
You'll probably need a usb with at least 6gb of space though.

Just boot up the usb and open the program called GParted. To find the program, simply drag your mouse to the top left corner of the screen. The screen will change and there will be a search bar in the middle of the screen. Just type "GParted" and an icon will come up. Click on it to open the program.

In the top right corner of GParted, click the drop down menu and select your USB device.
Then right click on the partition at the top (the long bar) and click Resize/Move.
Then drag the end of the partition (where the arrow is on the long bar in the new window) to the very right side.
Click resize and then click the tick at the top of the window.
Now you can close out of GParted and you'll have much more space to install programs.
(you'll probably need at least 6gb)

Then once you have done that, press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to open a Terminal in fullscreen.
Type "fibre" (all lower-case and without the ") for the username and
"Fibreos" for the Password (with a capital F and without the ")
Then you will have logged in successfully.

Now, to install the new GUI you will need to type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
followed by the Enter key.
If will ask you for the Password. Type "Fibreos" and press Enter.
Now your computer will install the new GUI.
If you don't want to install extra programs such as libreoffice (they take up a bit of space) then instead of typing the command above, type:
Code:
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-desktop

Near the end of the installation a message will come up with two options. One will be "gdm" and one will be "Lightdm"
Select "Lightdm" with the arrow keys and press Enter.
After everything has finished installing, type "exit" into the Terminal. This will log you out of the terminal.
Now you can press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to go back to the desktop. Restart your computer now.

When Fibre OS boots back up you will be presented with a boot menu allowing you to select which disk you want to boot. (GRUB 2)
To boot from your usb, find the line that says Ubuntu and press enter. This will boot the os again.
If you want to get rid of this slightly annoying menu, log into Fibre OS and press Ctrl+Alt+T to open Terminal.

Now we are going to install a program called GRUB Customizer. This program will allow us to stop the boot menu from appearing.

Copy and Paste (or type) these lines into the Terminal: (make sure to only paste (or type) one line at a time otherwise it doesn't work)
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

Now your computer has a new program called GRUB customiser.
Now search for it by pressing the button in the top left corner of the screen and typing "GRUB customizer"
click on the icon to open the program. You will need to type the password to open the program. (its "Fibreos" without the " in case you forgot)

Now under the List Configuration Tab, hold down Shift and highlight all of the option except the first "Ubuntu" option.
Click Remove at the top and then click save.
Now click the "General Settings" tab.
Make sure the options "show menu" and "look for other operating systems" is unticked.
Click save again if you needed to untick any of those options and now you can close the program.

Now every time you boot from the USB it will boot directly into the FibreOS with the other boot options and it will have the new theme.

If this tutorial helped you in any way, please feel free to send some Fibre below.

Virtual Coin is still the best, at least no BS attached.
If you really think that, then go take a look at the block explorer and tell me that some of the first blocks haven't been spent.
These blocks have a 1000+ coin reward and they HAVE been spent.

Click on the address it went to to see if the coins have been spent.
So 5 out of the first 10 blocks have been spent. Almost 13 000 coins.

Now you better not delete this post.

The Fibre os is amazing! Unfortunately it only has 3.5gb of space.
Which sucked because I have a 32 GB usb and my USB is only able to have one partition on it...
...or so I thought.

All you need to download (on your Windows PC) is "MiniTool Partition Wizard" from here: http://download.cnet.com/MiniTool-Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3001-2094_4-10962200.html?hlndr=1 (its free).
This will allow you create an extra partition to store more data than the Fibre os has.

Here's how you do it:      - Note: Do this after you have put the OS onto your usb
Open up MiniTool Partition Wizard
Right click on the allocated space in your USB and click create.
It will warn you that windows won't be able to see the partition. Click "Yes"
Name the partition label something suitable such as "Storage" and change the Filesystem Type to "Ext4".
Make the partition size as big or as small as you want. (It defaults to the largest size)
Then click "Ok"
Once you have completed these operations you will need to click the tick in the left corner with "apply" under it.
A window will pop up asking you if you want to apply the changes. Click "yes".
Your computer will now create that new partition (it'll take a while). When it has finished close the Partition Wizard and shutdown your computer.

Now when you boot the Fibre Os you can move files onto the other, much larger partition.
You also might want to run "sudo apt-get install nautilus" in terminal to be able to browse your files easily with the program that gets installed called "Files".

Thank e1ghtSpace, This is brilliant. Im currently building a wiki for FibreOS!! Would you be prepared to write an article for this process?

Regards
Killa

Easier way :
In Fibreos, launch Gparted, On the 3Gb main partition, right click "Extend", move the cursor, click OK .... Partition is resize while system is running.
2min and it's ok Cheesy

In FibreOS -> Activities -> GParted
Select the DRIVE of the USB Stick.
Right click -> Resisze/Move
Select the new size, then apply
I found out about that in my last post. Smiley (I edited it)
Well, I found out about that method before I read this comment at least.

Edit:
For my last post:

So I was first!! Mwahahaha. Smiley
Just realised VirtualBox doesn't let you create .iso disks. Sad but I just found another program called Virtual CD and apparently it lets you make blank .iso files.

Edit:
Wait a second. I think RMPrepUSB will extract the iso directly to the usb and won't make a separate partition.
I'll test it and report back if it works.

Edit 2: aww, BOOTMGR is missing.

I'll try this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/397481/how-to-make-a-persistent-live-ubuntu-usb-with-more-than-4gb

Also you can increase the partition size of FibrOS using a tool called DD!!
That's very helpful. Thanks!

Edit: OMG, its so simple to extend the size of your partition! Just boot up the usb and open the program called GParted. In the top right corner click the drop down menu and select your USB device. Then right click on the partition at the top (the long bar) and click Resize/Move. Then drag the end of the partition (where the arrow is on the long bar in the new window) to the very right side. Click resize and then click the tick at the top of the window. Now you can close out of GParted and you'll have much more space to install programs.

P.S. Sorry for posting a lot

Don't try this, I think I have found an even better way to do this and you won't need to make a new partition.
This is what I'm thinking:
Use virtual box to create a .iso file the size of your usb -3.5gb (for the fibre os) and edit them together with a .iso editing program. Then you'll have the same amount of free space as my old tutorial but you can install programs from the sudo apt-get install command and ubuntu software center onto it.
