Sorry but it looks like your coins are gone.  Embarrassed

I'm really sorry about this.
Not necessarily, while address format is the same, private key format is different, it is necessary to convert it, I will try to do it.
Ah, I was hoping something like this would be the case. You are a great dev Mr. Spread.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 14, 2014, 07:41:36 PM
Mr.spread, what's status of masternode and darksend developmnet?
It is far from ready yet but I think I found a potential vulnerability in DarkCoin which allows miners (actually pools) to not pay part of the block reward to masternodes.
DarkCoin wallet checks the following things for each new block:
1) There is a payment to master node.
2) There is a payment with the same amount as a payment to master node should be (30%).
But there is no check that this is the same payment. This means that if you generate a block you can pay 0.0000001 DRK to masternode and pay 30% and (70% - 0.0000001 DRK) to yourself as separate coinbase outputs. Such blocks should be accepted by DarkCoin network just fine but I haven't tested it on testnet to be 100% sure.
Awesome! (if the vulnerability works) We can be the first coin to have the masternode vulnerability fixed!
While I understand your perspective, it my opinion, it would be wrong not to notify the Darkcoin dev of any potential vulnerabilities.
Yeah, I know. Sad
Maybe he can say "Vulnerability found by SpreadCoin Dev" or something.

edit;
Mr. Spread, have you found the part of the Darkcoin code where, "Enforcement" is on or off?  I THINK that may be what you're seeing as when enforcement is off, yes, that can and has happened.
Awww. Sad

RawrRawr how many coins did you lose?  Do you have any left?
I think he has at least 2.5k left. He lost 3K. You can see in the blockchain explorer.

I personally find this graph a tiny bit confusing. IMO it makes a lot morse sense if we use the old one but say "Reward over 10 minutes" instead of just "Reward" (for the Y axis).
Maybe "block reward" would be more appropriate name?
Well, the first time I saw the graph it confused me because the block times are different. That's why I think it makes sense to say "over 10 minutes" because 6.66 isn't bigger than 50 but on the graph it looks like it is.

epic fail.
You need to contact C-CEX and ask them for private key corresponding to this address. Then you will need to import this key into your SpreadCoin wallet but I'm not sure if this will actually work.
I'll test it out right now...

Squallcoin? Wtf? You only hope squallcoin fails and the exchange lets you use their wallet.dat or something.

Hello, Mr. Spread. I make mistake and send my spr to wallet address of other coin. How did chain processed this transactions, if this spr address is incorrect?
What is this other coin? Maybe it uses the same address format as SpreadCoin.
Just type checkwallet and repairwallet, the wrongly sent coins can be back ,dont worry about it.
No, this transaction is in blockchain: http://spreadcoin.net/explorer/SVMV9Mxk9H9JSrPDAdLeua1FNvnNnU4muw
It may be possible to recover these coins by using corresponding private key from other coin.
Would they need to load up the wallet containing that address, go to the debug console and typing
dumpprivkey SVMV9Mxk9H9JSrPDAdLeua1FNvnNnU4muw

Wait, they could just use the other coin's wallet.dat. Right?
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FIND] FindYou Coin - Faucet Distribution on: December 14, 2014, 04:37:01 AM

Depending on how the Community decides about Coin cap and if whether or not we decide to exchange the original FIND against the new FIND there would have to be some sort of arrangement e.g 100 FIND1.0 for 10 FIND2.0 and so on (all depending on the cap)
It would be easier to say 10 FindYouCoins for 1 Findcoin.

E-mail sent.
Email? Why not just a PM? It's faster and easier too.
1713  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELL] STEAM GAMES on: December 13, 2014, 11:57:28 PM
I'm not going to buy this game because I already have it but I am just wondering how much you will sell it for.
ARMA 3.
1714  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] BTC Address Created in 2012 on: December 13, 2014, 11:54:10 PM
No one is going to buy an address from anyone. This guy could just take the bitcoins out of it because he has the private key.

Do not trust this guy, he will probably just steal your bitcoins once you deposit them.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FIND] FindYou Coin - Faucet Distribution on: December 13, 2014, 11:45:56 PM
Hey, guys!

It's great everyone is putting their effort in FINDcoin  Smiley

I like orange logo by Sarahiko, and I like idea of lowering mcap, so i'll vote for 10M coins instead of 100M or 200M for new coin.

What are you thinking on old FIND to new FIND coins exchange? Should we do it as a tribute to all guys who believed in FIND cause and didn't sell coins when it died?

Or maybe we should distribute new coin from scratch?

Please post any ideas you have on new coin  Smiley

Concerning new coin timeline - since I'm not a developer (I can only copy and paste parts of code and compile it), and it took a while to create working enviroment (perl, python, minGW, bunch of libs, libpng/zlib and db_cxx errors, and so on...), I can say that I'll have working beta wallet with same functions as FIND by the end of this sunday (i.e. tomorrow).

The only thing different from FIND I can do now in the first version of wallet is to change mcap, run it on some server and be there until the end of distribution . I need guys smarter than me, with experience, to implement in-wallet chat/irc, or in-wallet broadcasting of bounties, or any new feature.

So I'm thinking on this timeline for now:

1. Community should vote on two aspects: emission (how much coins should be in FINDcoin - 10M, 50M, 100M, 200M, 1B or so), and should we exchange old FIND coins on new ones or not. If we'll trade old coins for new ones - by what rate than?

2. If community agrees on these matters by the GMT morning of monday, 15/12/14, I'll upload working wallet and faucet on MEGA by the end of same day.
If community decides to exchange old coins - I'll reserve some amount for such trade, all other coins will be put into faucet.

I say old coin for mew straight exchange.
And id go for a nice round 500M coins.

The few of us that have held coin have done so because we believe in the coin, we shouldn't be abandoned , after all if it wasn't for this community we wouldn't be continuing the coin.
WHOA! 500M? Are you high or something!!??!?? Smiley
The more coins there are the less value they have and it seems to me that most people like lower marketcaps.
I'd go with 10M if I were you.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin on: December 13, 2014, 11:41:02 PM
We have a new logo (not made by me):

Splash screen is in process.

Next step is to make online block explorer and dns seed for automatic peer discovery, also a website is necessary. Don't expect all of this to happen instantly because I'm the only developer behind this coin and I work in my free time.

When all those infrastructure issues will be solved I will think about implementing some unique features for this coin. I have several sketchy ideas but I don't like to give promises that I wouldn't be able to fulfill, so I will not currently elaborate on them more until developing them in more details.

It's good that you're posting updates, without doing so, the coin will not attract any other miners. Also, some hints about features to be added in the future would be nice.

In the end, it will come down to have the coin listed on exchanges so that it can bring some profits to the miners.

Cheers!

I was about to say "Wow, how did you change the picture for people that quoted the old one?" But then I realised it uses the same URL. Heh, looks like you traveled into the future. Smiley   (Notice the time stamp)

Holy **** I've never seen prices this low. I don't understand how this can happen.

OMG, I just realised that I did my calculations wrong. I thought that I only had 0.03 BTC worth of spr but it turns out it was actually 0.3 btc worth! I'm so happy. For once I actually made a good decision in buying a coin.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the last thing you bought using Bitcoins? on: December 13, 2014, 07:45:30 AM
I bought ARMA 3 with my bitcoin. It cost 0.125 btc. A bit expensive but I wanted it a lot.

First post updated with early-beta version of client screenshot, currently only download function is available.

Network and client is still in the testing process, we will announce the release date and detail specification about the coin soon.
Looks interesting. Can't wait for launch.
