Locking the thread. Wont waste my time anymore.

I'm going to write my own script and host it online. Everyone is welcome to use it.

2082  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 11:38:22 PM
Great Idea.
2 birds with one stone Smiley

I am really hoping this works out because I need a reliable way for my ptp networks to pay out no minimum. I don't want to have to change people 20k satoshi just to withdraw their earnings, so I REALLY need micropayment api!

Thanks a lot for creating this.

Absolutely. People think micro-wallets are only good for faucets, but they actually solve the dust transactions (and fees) issues rather nicely. The whole bitcoin community should be interested, not just faucet people.

Yeah and people give me crap about doing no minimum payments, but have never heard of micropayments. It's a very underrated system that could add value to things that would have been impossible to monetize otherwise.

Not to mention the ability to utilize it for manual transactions. Some people I do business with were happy to accept micropayment processor and wait a few days because we know the money will be paid out.

As for faucets, people seem to get ALL the wrong ideas. All these script kiddies think it's cool and profitable to bot, but all it does is run down the faucets that they depend on. Yet faucet owners with good security will be able to generate great seo and sell more than just banner adspace, but possibly back links and other things. People just need to think outside the (faucet)box.

damnit... the hype it TOO real right now OP, I feel you..
I wish I'd be able to take over faucetbox and improve it without having to write a lot of code.
Who knows, maybe this way it's better Smiley I'll have full understanding over my own code, so that's the real hype, heh.
2083  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 11:08:50 PM
I'm gonna start working on this project from tomorrow, since I've been coding for faucetgame all day long. Will just stay on bitcointalk to reply to any questions.

Great to know, thank you.

I'll throw some additional ideas, feel free to discard them completely, but it's something that could be useful to keep in mind.

1. FaucetBOX had a flag for referral payouts, which is a nice thing. Hopefully yours will have this too.

2. If you're going to release an SDK/library to do the talking to the API, please include the HTTP timeout from the get go. FB refused to patch their lib that way, and it's the reason you see a blank white page instead of withdrawal status on many of the faucets. (the max_execution_time or whatever it's called in PHP is running out cutting script mid-way).

3. It would be very nice to have a "bulk payment" API. FB told us it doesn't matter, as it would be the same thing as doing multiple transactions (bar the HTTP overhead), but we still disagree on that. With some clever coding, you can return a response status immediately, and process the actual thing later/async. No need to explain it to you in more detail, as you are a capable dev.

4. FB (and Paytoshi) clean up their logs, so it's hard for end-users to collect stats. We suggested having an RSS feed, so people could accumulate those logs locally on their machines. Could be quite nice! (But it's the lowest priority request ever, you can do it after a year or so, not much people would care). Also, no idea if you're planning on wiping the logs too, so the point might be very moot.
Yes to all.

Regarding #4,
I could keep that information on-site for 30 days and have an option where users can download it.
It would do that way too I guess?
2084  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHub.io - Micropayment system. FaucetBox alternative. on: November 06, 2016, 10:57:54 PM
I hope that will be eady to move faucets from Faucetbox to Faucethub service for faucet owners.
Let me ask you, which coins in service you are planning to support?

In Mexicantarget we trust!
It'll be very easy to use/move to faucethub, I guarantee it.

For start, I was only thinking bitcoin. As you could see faucetbox's stats page, alt faucets weren't performing that good.
If there's going to be big demand, I could add altcoin support as well.

Hey, just wanted to chime in and say it's really great you are doing this.

1. Please don't skim on the API docs (unless you are cloning FB api 1:1), especially the error codes, fail states, etc.

2. Are you going to include altcoins, such as DOGE? Not a priority, but some heads up would be nice.

Good luck! Watching this very closely.
API docs will be big and clear, no need to worry. I'm someone who uses APIs A LOT! lol.

Regarding alts, you can find the answer above your quote.

I'm gonna start working on this project from tomorrow, since I've been coding for faucetgame all day long. Will just stay on bitcointalk to reply to any questions.
Faucetbox launched an instruction to move from Microwallet.org to Faucetbox in a easy way. You could do it, too.

I would say, if there is no micropayment service, there would be no faucets and no targets to advertise. Faucet industry is important for the cryptocurrency.
Yeah, I'm planning to give short and clear instruction on that too. I'll need users be able to move easily from other services to faucethub.

Faucet industry brought a lot of outsiders to bitcoin, so it's indeed a vital part of the bitcoin economy.

oh God , Faucetbox is closing. Going to disable all APIs of faucets.

Is there anything similar that can be used?
There are things like Xapo, but they are less anonymous for earnings and require lots of informaiton just to earn from them.

This is quite strange as they should really be in nprofit based on the number of users who use their services?

Are your services fully operational yet?
I just announced the project, it can be found in the link you quoted. Please keep an eye on it about progress.
It should launch in a week from now, it'll be operational.

I'll be adding more features. New features as well Smiley

I'm really sad to hear that news. Faucetbox was G.O.A.T. micropayments service and closing of it may kill faucet industry. There are no good alternatives, other similar service is far from Faucetbox level and mostly faucet owners will have to close their faucets.
I hope that someone will see niche and will start similar service.
Hey, I am starting one. You can find my thread below this one in micro-payments Smiley

I'm launching my own service. I'll have to, I run way too many projects to waste time by using another provider.

Hardest decision I have right now is picking a name for the project

I and many others have full faith in you. But still if you can convince those Faucet box people out there to sell it to you. If they want to save name of FaucetBox. Offer them to change the name and they can keep the name with them for any projects they want in future.

That way you are saved a lot of basic work and can concentrate on making it better. Other wise it again takes a few months to just make new service stable.

In any case please provide us with the API for sure.  Grin
There's something going on with faucetbox, they're not saying what's up.

No sane captain would allow his ship sink without looking into alternatives.

Anyway, I've offered them $2000. If they want to sell it, I'll be around.

I'm starting coding tomorrow when I wake up. I can bring a new service to life in under a week.

Peace out folks

Are you sure about this news? faucetbox going to shutdown their services. if this true then its a bad news.
looks pretty official to me. they lost their google adsense a while ago, that is probably why.
What do you mean by loosing adsense? There was no adds on main page, right?
Anybody know other reasons for this decision?
Pretty surprising that this site is closing... thought that was good business.
But I'm sure that something else will pop up in place.
You're right.

Really sad news. Yes I agree that Kazuldur need to sell FaucetBOX. Without FaucetBOX Crypto world will never be the same.

Now ... why he decided to give up, we can speculate

1. A lot owner faucet complain about the scripts that are not resistant to bots. It should often build scripts that will be safer.

2. Only two days ago, more than 100 new owners faucet took API key and all these faucet is defective. Bitcoin list is full of such a faucet from which do not benefit, nor Kazuldur nor users.

3. He has better control API keys and immediately repealed frauds. For this he needs a team of people who needs to pay for the job. It can carry one man.

I think that these are only some of the possible reasons
I know most of those exploits. I can fix all of the exploits in a new script where bots wouldn't stand a chance.
2094  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [POLL] Regarding faucetbox on: November 06, 2016, 08:11:04 PM
I think it would be better to change a little bit poll question:

Do Kazuldur / FaucetBox.com should sell service rather than close it? (or something similar..)

But yes, this decision, and explanation is very strange..  Roll Eyes
Hey, thanks. Modified it.

I agree with you, he should at least consider selling it to someone who know what is doing and its not scammer. Hm, i don't understand why is it not profitable, i thought they are taking fee's from faucet owners deposits? Anyway, his site his rules, what ever decision he make we just have to respect it.
Whatever it is, people can always come to a deal.

From what I understood, faucetbox isn't profitable for him/them.
While having a lot of people depending on his site's service, he decides to shut the project, instead of selling it, because of image.

Something doesn't make sense here, but I respect his decision.

2097  Economy / Micro Earnings / [POLL] Regarding faucetbox - Do you want it to close? on: November 06, 2016, 07:57:41 PM
So, what really concerns me is this:

To everyone asking for a price of FaucetBOX.com: We've made a decision not to sell FaucetBOX.com to keep the good image of FaucetBOX.com and our company, even in the face of closing.

What a surprise! The project seems to still rise and rise!

So what now with faucet owners will have to ask for another API, or they have to change the script?

New version of Faucet in a BOX script supports ePay.info and Paytoshi, so if these are acceptable then faucet owners don't have to change the script.

If this poll gets let's say, 80% for faucetbox to keeps operating, they wont sell it, because of "the good image" they want to show to everyone.
I don't disagree with that, they've been very professional since I started using their service back in January.

A real business/professional decision would be if they allowed someone to keep running the same site.

I'm really trying to understand what's that thing about image, but makes no sense.

Anyway, I would really like to take over faucetbox and continue running all my sites on it, like 99.99% of other users who use it.

Please vote on the poll, let's see what you guys think.

I think more than 95% of fbox users would prefer if you sold it to someone who's capable running it, than closing it completely.

"Face" has nothing to do with this Smiley

"Despite many efforts and great growth FaucetBOX.com didn’t turn into a profitable business and we’re not able to sustain it anymore"
I was never expecting to read something like this, with almost every faucet using their services I thought that they were profitable, what about the alternatives we have?I never used paytoshi or epay.

Negative. I asked if they're gonna sell it, they declined.

Would love if I could purchase this project.
How about creating a new one from scratch?I know that a project like this is not easy but I am sure you will do a good  job and there is enough time until faucetbox closes (Jan 2017).
[/quote]I can do that, but the issue is, I'm working on my advertising network and I'm planning to launch it before new year

Sad news that faucetbox is closing many micropayment websites did use Faucetbox for withdrawal. So far this was the best option we had thanks for the great service you guys offered. Still hope you will find someone with a good offer to keep faucetbox running.
