and done, i was even able to fix the wx Code (and part of library) so we got a working GUI (you can even mine with it if you specify --server, unlike the QT variant).
gonna upload a zip as before. it will contain everything needed for mining, all you have to do is to place it in %APPDATA%
@jasinlee: pls delete everything expect the following files/folder in your Devcoin folder: wallet.dat devcoin.conf receiver/

I have two subnets. Each subnet running bitcoind, but wallet.dat used in both cases is the same. Also in each subnet running p2pool. Can I setup two subnets are the same address for the award? Are there problems?
no this is fine ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

building on winblows now, man this shit is so slow ^^
crashes with 1.40 boost on winblows too -.-
got it:
--snip--
so it seems to be a problem with boost (again, argl i hate this shit...). im going to build another build with an older libboost to see if we can get around this.
if this dosnt work im creating a cygwin build.
im wondering what it is, debuggin on winblows is a horrible thing. EDIT: setting up GDB on winblows, oh well... i think it would be easier doing it with cygwin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Ok, got a chance to attempt throwing a few commands at it, each command causes a crash so not sure what is up with it. I am using the bitcoind commands (I assume they work). Here are the ones I was trying: devcoind getblockcount devcoind getdifficulty and a bunch of the others listed on https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_listEach time I get devcoind.exe has stopped working. So either I am doing it wrong or theres a glitch? i think a BT dosnt exist on winblows? gonna try it out in a VM to check it. maybe devcoind really dosnt work on winblows alltogether ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) EDIT: confirmed, happens to me too.

I only have a cpu machine. Is this a good miner for a cpu machine, or would you recommend another? I am still in the initial download. Do I need to wait until total download is complete before I can mine. Is anyone using this miner with the mining pools, or is it a solo miner? I was working with 50btc pool. They gave me a link to this miner and said it would work best with my machine. I hope they are correct with the gui I get less than one hundred khash. Thanks
dont mine solo with a CPU, CPU are obsolete. the fastest CPUminer is https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer/

Thanks for the report. I've replied on GitHub. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be easy to debug, since it appears to depend on the order the blocks were loaded, and that in turn depends on network timings. I will post when I have time to address this. Meanwhile, I suggest using an older version of Abe, either v0.6 or the Sept. 15 commit ( fc10484). lets continue the chat @ github ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

That's looking better, even though it is early doors. How did you manage to get connected to so many peers (30 &24 in)? I've never managed to get above 11 & 0 in.....
That's 6 outgoing (which is the recently revised default) and those always fill up quickly. The incoming ones always take a few hours to re-arrive after I restart p2pool. The only way another node will connect to me is if it is restarted, itself (and therefore needs to re-establish it's 6 outgoing connections) or if it loses one of its 6 outgoing connections. Also, nodes prefer to connect to "old" peers that have been around for a long time, and my node has been running consistently for about a year, so I don't usually have to wait more than a day to be full on incoming connections again. i changed the code to create 30 outgoing connections, its fairly easy! There is a reason it has a low default and is limited to 10: Outgoing connections are a limited resource, since few nodes are set up to accept incoming connections. See the discussion of the "Hub" patch to Bitcoin. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Besides that, you don't need that many connections. Bandwidth usage scales linearly with number of connections, but the benefit of increased connections on your orphan rate is small. traffic and latency arent my problem so i can shrink it up ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) gonna try 100 later just for fun ^^
