Nice website. I would fix the header design if I were you. The square blue buttons do not look good against the white background.

2083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins for cash? on: November 07, 2014, 06:16:49 AM
Did you two read the op? He said localbitcoins isn't viable for him.

Well you see on localbitcoins no one near me or around my area does bitcoins for cash. I need straight up cash and not go through the bank or anything.

Thank you, no one is helping Sad

Use some sort of transfer service such as Western Union, Moneygram, or bank transfer.

2085  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to protect from keyloggers? on: November 07, 2014, 06:13:48 AM
There isn't much that you can do once you are infected (there are rare options such as lastpass). The main thing is that you need to try protecting your devices so that they do not get infected by any malware/logger or anything harmful.

how does lastpass help?
2086  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much sleep do you get? on: November 07, 2014, 06:13:27 AM
for children sleeping hours need to be 12
for teenagers it needs to be upto 8 hours
for youngsters 4 hours are  quite enough
for old ones it should be up to 7 to 10 hours

I was stupid, and wanted to verify it was malware, so I ran it, thinking my anti-virus would protect me.

If you don't want every tom, dick and harry reading your personal emails, you'd be best avoiding all the popular NSA friendly email providers (yahoo, gmail etc)

Thanks for the link. I was looking for that list for a while now.

2096  Other / Off-topic / Re: Learning Python Give Me Suggestions! on: November 07, 2014, 04:51:26 AM
Learning python..just got my raspberry pi delivered & I'll be learning on there then hopefully when I've reached a point where I'm confident and good at python create something with the raspberry PI and use it as a little project and putting my code into practice along the way.

Anyone have any suggestions I'll be using "learn python the hard way" is that a good resource or maybe you know better? I'm looking for some videos on youtube too that would help a bunch.

thanks in advance peeps!
I'm assuming you are using the free version of the book...which doesn't include the videos....well this youtube channel has some videos based on that very same book. It's good for extra help.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCHnubFzFwjJVEvQk-FuEynAuwGV_4BNS

That's the link & that's what I started to learn off around 6 months ago. He has 37 topics to go through from setup to more advanced concepts.

Of course I would recommend the book you are currently studying as its probably the best FREE resource out there...there are other books which might be a little bit better but for starters learn what you are already learning as it will give you the basics which you can then pretty much self learn in the future if you need to do a certain thing within your program.

I like your idea with the raspberry pi thing wish I thought of that...thats a fun way of trying out your code and having fun whilst doing it.

Wish you all the best & good luck...learning python will be the best thing you've done in awhile!

EDIT: If you are not familar with the cmdline: then he also has some tutorials on that which the book goes over right at the start! It can intimidating if you just started to learn Linux. The raspberry Pi uses the terminal which is found in any Linux distro...it's basically a cmd line which you find in Windows.

Look on amazon there are a few books....I haven't looked at the website/book or whatever you are talking about so can't comment.

Even though it's for android, allow me to present Boilr, an alarm app for btc & alt traders. Boilr supports most exchanges and pairs! Check it out for yourself - http://boilr.mobi/

You can check the code yourself and download it at googleplay, fdroid, etc. Also, if you have any suggestions, feel free to create an issue @ github - https://github.com/andrefbsantos/boilr

we're constantly improving the app. feedback is more than welcome! Cheers

Thank you for sharing.
2098  Other / Meta / Re: How activity is counted? on: November 07, 2014, 04:48:56 AM
Check the sticky in the Meta forum. Activity is calculated using time online (2 week periods) and post count, not just one or the other iirc
2099  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to protect from keyloggers? on: November 07, 2014, 02:59:42 AM
If you use a virtual machine (using virtualbox or similar software) on a already infected computer willl it affect the virtual machine?

I'm considering using a virtual machine for logging into things for added security....plus installing all the anti virus on the virtual machine...what are the draw backs of runinng a virtual machine?

you can still get malware in the virtual machine lol

why not just boot on a different partition?
