So in 30 days on iOS 32k people have checked out the app which is a growth of 105% and from the visitors 1/3 have downloaded the app which is a growth of 88%. That's pretty damn impressive for a Crypto related app that's not Bitcoin.

What do you mean) Changetip now supports US$ and 12 social sites. They also support private email, sms, skype. I'd say change tip has quite the lead in this space. There's also google wallet which I use and paypal. Pk allows with 1 account to make payments anywhere u use your keyboard. That mean its not limited to a couple social platforms but all of them, thousands, every social app, 90% of these apps dont have payments, pk makes that possible. Whatsapp payment is india only so useless for many people. With pk you also dont have to register with each and every platform seperately to use payments. |

The point I was trying to make is that using social media for payments isn't new and until you can use keypay anywhere to me it's just vaporware.
It's still new, its not long ago fb announced payments and its for us users only, but the idea of making payments with blockchain technology is very new. Its a niche that has a bright future. paykey pretty much perfects the shortcomings of the current services, its not officially out yet but im looking forward to the beta. |

You can't make people use something, it's magic sauce that if you could bottle everyone would be billionaires. 99.9% of apps fail. I've been living in China for last year, we have so many ways to send money now, no one cares. Most people semd money to a few friends anyway or to buy something. Paykey is for those who use multiple social platforms and dont want to use multiple accounts, credit cards, personal information for each and every social media they use. 1 account access to them all, if it wasnt useful no company would be interested in this. For me its very useful. Not to mention on the majority of these social media, even some of the biggest once you cant transfer money, paykey allows you to do that. |

It's ironic, because many people don't realize that their smartphones are actually the most secure computing device they own, far more secure than desktop or laptop systems. It's wallets that can be accessed from the web or desktop that should really only be used for pocket change.
An iPhone uses the same techniques of app sandboxing and enforced code signatures that dedicated hardware wallets use. The phone is also hardware encrypted so your funds are strongly protected even if it's physically stolen. The US DOJ even complains publicly that the phones are too secure. Some people prefer to keep large amounts in paper wallets, but for someone who doesn't have a strong technical knowledge of bitcoin, misunderstanding how change addresses work can result in total loss, so they're not really suitable for the general public. There was recently a $1M dollar bounty offered for a remote jailbreak of iOS, and the winner ended up having to use an exploit in the chrome app, so if we assume markets are efficient, then in theory it should be safe to keep at least $1M in breadwallet (if you don't use chrome).

I see no and even no movement at all in the direction of the original vision. As you said having getgems and btc on one is a start and delaying USD. But do you think they want to even slightly damage their cash flow?
Once you assume they are just thinking out their 5% and how they can maximise that all their decisions are perfectly clear to me at least.
There are various options that would benefit the gems community,
1. Getgems with BTC in one app. At least the Bitcoinuser base is bigger than the miniscule one for Gemz..
2. Do not White label...simply give the advantage to crypto to build the market and the and only then allow banks to work though the app. This would mean getgems does great and so do investors....again I see they didnt want to risk revenue streams for that Bitcoin nonsense.
3. ok give your tech away white label but at the very least delay that for a year or more or till getgems builds some kind of following, 30,000 even 100,000 simply isn't enough to build an attention economy. you need to have a million or more to have anyone bother to advertise to you, let's be real now.
I see not even a hint that the team are putting our investments or the vision of Bitcoin for the masses into the equation. It's hard to hold Daniel to what he has done, he can go politician and make it seem like he hasn't but anyone with common sense knows it's black and white, they went for fiat revenue over all other things including US as a community or the wider Bitcoin community....which is why I suggest they leave this forum which they built their funding and early following.,,,only to turn around and abandon.
