20801  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 26, 2012, 06:03:02 PM
Take it to a different thread. This is for payment updates.

My identity has been public since day 1 of Bitcoin. Our pictures and identities are on the front of intersango.com. Our company info is on the about page which has a number and address. My house address is on google. We've run many honest services for 2 years now in bitcoin land. Your post = FUD and smear. Take it to a different thread as I want to keep this thread for simple payment updates and answering people's legitimate concerns.

My concern is a very legitimate one and relates to the topic of this thread - security investigation.

Unless you and your staff are incompetent, there is no way a hacker could have destroyed the database backups that were kept on a different machine.  So your system was accessed by someone with your blessing, and all the backups conveniently wiped out.

So your latest stance is "call the police and you will never see your money"?  That sounds like blackmail to me.  Why are you trying so hard to keep the police out of it?
20802  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 26, 2012, 05:52:20 PM
if this was a company in the usa or uk all involved would have been arrested already.

since this is international , international police will have to be involved which is a long process.

lets see what the poll says but i agree, totally unacceptable.

My name is public, and my address/location too. If you want to get the police involved, I would be fine to go to them and let them have the problem to deal with. Good luck getting any money back then ever. I've got nothing to hide. Bitcoin people are always believing conspiracy theories like us making money from interest or it being an inside job.

We'll never know why you started to pull the scam and backpedaled but I think your identity being made public was a big part in that.  But no matter what you say on these forums, the fact you don't want legal authorities involved (even just a report) is because you know who "stole" the money.

Please dont' try and play the victim.  I don't figure you guys for fools - I know you watched the other scam sites and realized you could take 20%-50% of every users balance without any real repercussions.    Plus you get the full balances of every user that cannot validate their claims to your satisfaction.
20803  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 26, 2012, 05:29:31 PM
please STFU about the police, what do you want them to do? magically fixing the database, so that everyone can get there money? shoot genjix?

they can do absolutely nothing in this case, except messing things more up. so please STFU.

You STFU.   It's important for people to understand this was an inside job.

why is it important?

personally i dont care; i just want to have my money back (btw this thread is called "Payout update" not "find the hacker").

It's important because people are talking about trusting these scammers a second time.  And btw, the thread is called security investigation as well.

Your post is so incredibly selfish... you don't care how many coins they steal from others as long as YOU are made whole.  Pathetic.

LOL, no police report... is that real? I can't fathom why you wouldn't call police when that much money is involved.

Very fishy.

Simple - if you don't want the person to be caught, you don't ask the police to investigate.

This was an inside job.
20806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica's "Hot Wallet" loaded hours prior to the heist? on: June 18, 2012, 01:28:13 PM
5/11 was an inside job.

I know you were making a joke, but it was an inside job.

That's the reason no one ever went to the police.
20807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone have any idea who runs this site? on: June 17, 2012, 01:14:04 PM
Well of course it's a scam... a ponzi scam.
20808  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 16, 2012, 08:14:40 PM
Do something? Like what? There isn't much but the shaming and blaming game.

Demand a police file number.  If they refuse, they are scamming you, period, and you should start legal action right away.
20809  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 16, 2012, 06:50:52 PM
If you haven't lost anything, just shut up. It's all just blah blah blah. Please stop posting novels.

Payout updates, please. Or tell us how we can help. Block explorer must be the way to go to verify our claims, eps. for everyone who didn't have any position or held any USD. About the reproaches, most of us sure have better things to do than keep posting here for weeks. We have every right to be impatient because we don't even have assurance we are getting our coins back. Will write another email to enquire about my claim.

Don't be a ....  He's giving you good advice - stop lying back and waiting for them to get away with this and do something.  I can guarantee you every person involved at Bitcoinica has already received 100%+ of their personal interests in this scam.

It's been a month and they haven't even reported anything to law enforcement.  What does that tell you?
20810  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 15, 2012, 11:05:29 PM
Ah but when what they SHOULD be doing runs into what they ARE doing in support of this massive scam, too bad no soup for you! Looks like the favorite good old boys will get 50 cents on the dollar, and the rest of the world, whom they think too small to take action, will get the "oh, so sorry, bad records don't you know, wasn't our fault, we just came to the party after she was already pregnant, evil hackzorz stole all the good records, (except the ones we need to actually pull funds out for ourselves...).

When in reality the bitcoins have been transferred or spent by the Bitcoinia team.  There is no legal recourse against a 17 year old, which I mentioned when Bitcoinia first launched.   Undecided
20811  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: June 15, 2012, 08:22:35 PM
Why ?

Do you also hate free speech, comrade Huh

Free speech?   You've ADMITTED you're a scammer - you've ADMITTED you're OK with the tag.

What is there to discuss or speak about anymore?
20812  Other / Off-topic / Re: Donating to the Zimmerman Defense Fund on: June 15, 2012, 04:02:13 PM
Here in England the police don't even need to carry guns and they still manage to do their jobs.
Of course since we are all armed we don't really need them much.

Zimmerman didn't need a cop - he just judged and murdered that boy on his own.
20813  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are we winning the "drug war"? on: June 15, 2012, 03:59:45 PM
It's a waste of money, time, and energy better spent elsewhere.

Why is this thread still going on?

He has admitted he is a scammer in his posts and his signature.
He has said he doesn't care if he has a scammer tag.

Just lock it or ignore it and let's move on.
Why did you bump it?

and you?  and me?
Mine didn't count as a bump since it was posted one minute after the previous post.

I didn't consider mine a bump either since it was posted less than 24h from the previous post.  At least I added information.   Cool
20815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Free BitCoins by Tweeting a link on: June 15, 2012, 03:23:36 PM

What does that have to do with the spamming?   Huh

so you do like my free bitcoins? Smiley yeaaah. don't forget you can request 24 times a day and visit our sponsors while you are there.

Look - just take the hint.  Spamming the same message with no information is disliked by the forum's members, and you're not getting any visitors from it.

It's not "officially" dead until the "official" author declares it so.

I'm sure there will be a few keeners that will be around to support it even if it is launched in 6 months.
