2101  Other / Meta / Re: Positive vibe about the merit system on: February 04, 2018, 06:01:47 PM
The rank really affects how we are qualified in profitable campaigns.

Agreed, if we look at the payments of high rank members.

but i think we are also guilty that sometimes due to requirements of these campaigns we are forces to post without substance.

Its a huge forum and there are sufficient topics available for the discussion. There is no need to participate in fake or forced discussion. If you don't have anything to say then there is no need to reply, you can just ignore it and move on to another thread.

Another point is, when a newbie(like me) posts anything negative about the merit system i think that fact that we are newbies make it annoying at the same time justified. Most of time it'll make us look like we are appealing for a merit. I think some high ranking people already knows our sentiments and there's no sense in adding salt tinto it. Just enjoy learning in this forum and just like what they said, if you really deserve it it'll come.

I would suggest you to forget about the merit system and contribute to this forum by making quality posts. Be a responsible member of this forum, share your views on the topics which really attracts you and I am sure by the time you will also get the merits for good posts. For now, i am giving you 1 merit  Cheesy
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins the future of cryptocurrency? on: February 04, 2018, 05:24:06 PM
If you look at Coinmarketcap figures, there is a steady secular drop in bitcoin market cap as opposed to alt coins.

People liquidated their holdings due to recent negative news around the bitcoins. At the moment, there is comparatively less demand for the bitcoins as people don't want to risk their money. Some of these people and new investors are shifted towards the alt-coins as they are providing good amount of profit than bitcoin. This could be one of the reason for steady drop in bitcoin's market cap. I believe this situation will be changed soon and bitcoin will top the market cap as previously.

There are thousands of different tokens,  and 30% is a huuuuuge piece of crypto pie:)  it is obvious that people diversity their portfolios,  because bitcoin is good for long term deposit.  And people tempt to earn here and now,  so they go for short term trades.

Yes, those who are looking for the quick profit and don't wish to hold the coins for longer time are investing into the alt-coins. Currently, there has been lot of movement in the alt-coins which generates the opportunities for traders to make the profit.
2103  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I avoid tax on crypto on: February 04, 2018, 02:08:20 PM
If I make money on crypto currencies. How do I avoid as much tax as possible?

I think you should pay the required taxes to the authorities or else it might create a problem for you in the future. If there is no tax provision at the moment for cryptos in your country, then still be ready to pay the tax as the authorities can reach to you at anytime in the future. If government authorities caught you then you might have to pay heavy penalties for tax evasion. I would suggest you to check the local law related the cryptocurrencies in your country, be a responsible citizen and follow the same.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 04, 2018, 01:54:19 PM
I can't believe that SA all out by scoring just 118 runs. But all credit goes to Indian bowler because they bowled extremely well.India just need 92 more runs to reach the winning margin.I think there is no chance of SA to get back on this match.

Indian spinners did fantastic job, Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav picked 8 wickets together. SA batsman are really struggling at the moment, no one scored century in the 3 match test series. 1st ODI was also not good for SA batsman; except Duplesis, who scored a century. They are unable to take advantage of the home conditions and now the worst thing has happened, got bowled out on just 118 runs. If they continue to bat like this then India will win this series comfortably and it seems difficult for SA to bounce back in the absence of regular captain Du Plesis and ABD.
2105  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is bitcoin banned in India? on: February 04, 2018, 01:11:57 PM
Are Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency banned in India and its neighbouring countries?

I have no idea about other countries but its not yet banned in India.

Not at all.In India bitcoin is legal.Only the acceptance of bitcoin as a one of the payment is restricted. It's also a temporary one. I think it will change soon.I had heard out 10 transaction of bitcoin, one is from India. So bitcoin was strong in India. It's not easy to ban bitcoin in India.

No, bitcoin is not legal in India. There is no complete ban on bitcoins; people can use and invest into the cryptos at their own risk, government will not provide protection to their money in the event of loss. Govt has already declared that it will not be a legal tender.

The Indian government appeared to have been only announcing that it could add extra regulation to bitcoin.

Yes, government will make sure to eliminate the use of cryptos for illegal activities.
2106  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 04, 2018, 12:57:43 PM
OH really? And you will have signature campaigns in that forum too?

Haha. No other forum can provide such a huge platform and audience for the new projects, so the signature campaigns will be useless on other forums.

There is resistance but it all seems to be one immature dumbass behind this shit. Good luck with finding an alternative to this forum.

There is hardly any forum which can beat the bitcointalk in all aspects. We should always keep in mind that this forum was started by the Satoshi and hence there could not be any alternative.
2107  Other / Meta / Re: How members earn money here ? on: February 04, 2018, 12:42:52 PM
I am new here and saw some posts that now it is hard to make money here. What are the ways to earn on this forum ? Please suggest genuine ways only.

Welcome to this forum. If you are considering bitcointalk only as a source of earning the money then it is wrong. It is one of the best place to learn about the bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. If you have any skills then you can offer your service to the forum members and get paid for the same. Now days earning through signature campaigns is quite difficult for the newcomers.
2108  Other / Meta / Re: How to improve the merit system? on: February 03, 2018, 06:39:47 PM
I have some inhibitions about the merit system since i'm still a beginner and at the same time i do appreciate and understand its purpose. Still i don't think that this works objectively since not all quality posts are given attention to compared if a specific parameter is targeted like  average word count maybe.

All these questions are already discussed on the main thread of the merit system, check it out for your reference.

2109  Other / Meta / Re: The chaos on the forum! Judge, please on: February 03, 2018, 06:28:01 PM
I think OP should have some patience, there is no need to irritate someone by sending continuous messages. I am aware that you have been tagged and you want to remove the red mark so can't be remain silent. You have made your point; now give some time to actmyname, he is the only person who can remove your negative rating.
2110  Other / Meta / Re: Loyalty of the participants to their campaign? on: February 03, 2018, 06:01:11 PM
There are no such guidelines for changing the campaigns so its not against the forum rules. I agree that its not a good practice to change the campaigns frequently but we can not force anyone to stay in the campaign against their wish. I know, it increases the campaign manager's work but they are also getting paid to manage the campaigns and to handle such situations, so its not a big deal. If the campaign is good, manager is good and if the campaign period is longer then i don't think that people will switch the the campaigns in the middle.

In order to stop this, new rules should be introduced. People should also inform the managers before leaving the campaign so they can fill the vacant slot on time and it will not affect the promotion of that project. There are so many users who are queued to get into the campaign and who are always ready to occupy the slots. Managers can also introduce a blacklist for such users who are taking the advantage of this situation and changing the campaigns continuously.
2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies are not legal tender - Indian Finance Minister on: February 03, 2018, 02:12:07 PM

It means that they are still studying the effect of cryptocurrencies whether if it is good or bad. It needs to outweigh the negative issues of cryptocurrencies so that the Indian government will only create regulations and not banning it.

The Reserve bank of India and government has already warned the people from investing into the cryptocurrencies; now they have made it clear that it will not be a legal tender. They also mentioned that, government will not regulate the cryptos and they will make sure to eliminate the use of cryptos for illegal activities.

Indian government repeadly saying crypto currencies are nt legal tender like japan u cant use it for payments and sending money aboard if u do so they will be questioned by IT department

Its not completely banned, people can invest on their own risk and govt will not be responsible for any losses. If you are generating any income through the cryptos then govt authorities may ask you to pay the tax.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 03, 2018, 01:26:28 PM
Under 19 world cup final match AUS vs IND, both are strong teams, I think India will win this game. Any guessing on this game.

I feel Australia team is better than Indian team but if Indians continue the same form like the last couple of matches then they can give a good fight in this match.

Australia won the toss and choose to bat first. They all out for just 216 runs in 47.2 overs and India started well 23 runs in first four overs. Rain has stopped the match but the latest news is rain already stopped and match may start soon. I'm not sure whether they will still get full overs or they will get fewer overs and a new target. Now India requires 194 runs in 46 overs means around 4.2 runs per over. Which is quite easy to do if India doesn't lose any wickets.

Excellent performance by the Indian team, their all round game helped them to bag the 4th world cup. Indian bowlers managed to bowled out the Australian team on 216 runs. Considering the Indian batsman's form, the target was like cake walk for them. Superb century by the Manjot Karla which came on the big occasions i.e, world cup final. Full marks should be given to the coach Rahul Dravid as he is responsible for building the team, which dominated the entire tournament. These young players have bright future ahead; in fact few players have already got the IPL contract and soon we can see them in Sr National team.

2118  Local / India / Re: India may ban Bitcoin on: February 01, 2018, 08:03:05 AM
I think india banned bit coin (crypto currency).. 🤕🤒

Nope, Arun Jaitley did not said that government is banning the bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. He said these cryptos will not be considered as legal tender and government does not recognize them. It means people still can continue to invest at their own risk and government will not be responsible for any losses. He also pointed out to finish the illegal use of the cryptocurrencies. Government is also planning to explore the blockchain technology.

I see there are some hero accounts that get merit compensation because of close to next legend rank. And what about the rank below sr member to hero member, does that not apply?

Yes, everyone needs sMerits in order to rank up, whether they are Senior or hero member.

It's unlucky for me only need a few posts to get into hero rank.

I can understand mate but you don't have any other option than making quality post to earn sMerits.
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrencies are not legal tender - Indian Finance Minister on: February 01, 2018, 07:01:16 AM
Indian Finance minister has presented the financial budget for the year 2018 and he said 'investors should keep in mind that government doesn't consider cryptocurrencies as legal tender" It means government did not recognized them but also did not banned them completely, hence people can still invest into the cryptocurrencies on their own risk. However, he also said that government will make sure to curb the illegal transactions funded by cryptocurrencies. In addition, he also mentioned that government will study the blockchain technology to make the payment faster.

There were lot of excitement about the government's stance on cryptos but its not a good news for the investors. I fear what if people start diverting their money from cryptos to stock market ?
