2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto actually Nick Szabo? on: January 11, 2016, 04:21:53 AM
There are many theorises about who the real satoshi is. The real satoshi needs to sign a legit PGP key before we can trust them.   Cheesy  Grin
2102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $600 during the first month of the new year? on: January 05, 2016, 03:24:16 AM
As much as I hope that Bitcoin will be able to reach $600 by the end of January, I just don't think that it will happen. I don't think it will be going anywhere before halving. It will probably stay around $450 before halving. Maybe once halving hits, the price of Bitcoin will rise over $1000. That's the dream.
2103  Economy / Economics / Re: How many BTC will make you a fiat millionaire in 5 years? on: January 05, 2016, 03:07:03 AM
The price of Bitcoin isn't just going to shoot up like that. The price will gradually, key word gradually, rise. We can't expect ourselves to be millionaires in five years because of Bitcoin. If you invest in thousands of Bitcoin, then maybe you will become a millionaire. But there is really no telling where Bitcoin is going to go. So we can't tell you how many Bitcoins you would need.
2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: January 05, 2016, 02:30:12 AM
There has already been a thread like this. The Chinese may be investing in Bitcoin, but it is not because of the low rate of the Yuan. The Chinese are now getting started with Bitcoin because they are getting smarter. A lot of them are still into mining but some are investing in Bitcoin. This is pretty good for Bitcoin as this means that the demand for it is increasing meaning the price will go higher.
2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to present BTC to Newbies ? on: January 05, 2016, 01:39:10 AM
There is really no good way to present or show Bitcoin to new users. But I would just tell them that Bitcoin is an online currency and it is the first ever cryptocurrency. I would explain how it is just like Paypal except better, because most people use Paypal to pay for things online. Don't start explaining how mining works and all that kind of junk. Even I don't fully understand that and I have been using Bitcoin for quite some time. Mostly because I was never interested in learning about it.
2106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin! on: January 03, 2016, 05:00:51 AM
The genesis block is 7 years old today (timestamp: 2009-01-03 18:15:05).

"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks"

*raises glass* Here's to a productive 8th year.

And hopefully, another 8 years of Bitcoin!
Probably will continue. Still a great currency, I don't imagine its downfall until another twenty years time at least.

I definitely think that this will continue. Bitcoin is such a great currency and it has already attracted so many people around the world in just 7 years. Heading into this eighth year, I think that this year will be an absolutely huge turning point for Bitcoin. Hopefully we get to see another wonderful 7 years. Maybe in another 7 years, the price of Bitcoin will be $10,000 and all of us would be rich because we were smart enough to invest in Bitcoin in its early stages.
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest concern with Bitcoin right now? on: January 03, 2016, 04:52:39 AM
I am personally concerned that it will jump through the roof and I will not have enough purchased so that I can ride it up.  I think that this time when Bitcoin jumps in price, it will make a few millionaires.  I want to be one of those people, I just do not have enough at this time to make a dent in my goal if it jumps right now.

That is also my concern I really like to hoard as many bitcoin as I can as this is a very promising year for bitcoin I would like to have at least 5 bitcoins when it happen right now I am doing signature campaign, faucets and investing on cloud mining but I Guess the best way to get more bitcoins is to but while it is low at this point of time

This is a lot of peoples concern. Just try and buy, and earn, as many Bitcoins as you can before halving comes. When halving comes, that is when the price will go through the roof. There is still around half a year before that, so there is really nothing to be worried about. All the millionaires that invested huge amounts into Bitcoin will be billionaires after halving.
2108  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country looses the most when Bitcoin becomes the Currency of Planet Earth on: January 03, 2016, 04:49:19 AM
in my opinion usa would loose the most money if bitcoin became the currency of the whole world as all the banks would go bankrupt and countries wouldnt be able to regulate the bitcoin
A lot of countries would lose out as all banks would go bankrupt and a shit ton of people would lose their jobs. But then more jobs would be created by Bitcoin companies. A lot of governments wouldn't let Bitcoin become the currency of their country though. I really doubt that Bitcoin will ever become the currency of the Earth.
2109  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has bitcoin had success in China? on: January 03, 2016, 04:46:03 AM
The Chinese aren't really into using Bitcoin. They are more into mining. They make mining farms and they earn a lot of money that way. There are barely places in the whole world that accept Bitcoin, that includes China. There is really no success of using Bitcoin in China. But there is a lot of success in mining. The Chinese make up a lot of the mining power that runs Bitcoin.
2110  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Big Challenge in 2016: Reaching 100 Million Users on: January 03, 2016, 04:23:54 AM
I reckon this year may well be a good one. At the same time I can't see any compelling reason why user numbers would rise that rapidly. I think Bitcoin will continue to be a slow burn for the foreseeable future. It's a hard sell and still massively misunderstood by the majority.

I believe that the year of 2016 will be the turning point for Bitcoin. We should be seeing the price breach $1000. When the price goes up this high, we will see the number of users of Bitcoin rise extremely rapidly. Bitcoin will not be a slow burn though, if it was, it would slowly "go out". I don't see Bitcoin ever "going out". Bitcoin is relatively hard to sell, but as the demand for it increases, it will be easier to sell Bitcoin.
2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What he really satoshi? on: January 02, 2016, 11:58:09 AM
That was just an image on google. People might suspect that is him, but he's probably not. Remember Craig Wright? lel.

The true identity of Satoshi is unknown. Some people can guess, but no-one can be sure until he signs with a legitimate PGP key.

Who knows? Maybe you're satoshi and you're hinting at his real identity  Wink

There is really no way to tell who the real satoshi is, until he signs a PGP key. But the guy you found on this internet, is someone else with the last name Satoshi. I don't know how first name. The Craig Wright thing was pretty funny.
The man in the picture you are referring to, is Dorian Nakamoto. A man that has nothing to do with the creation of Bitcoin. His full name is Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto. That is why when you search up "Satoshi Nakamoto", he comes up. He does need to sign a PGP key before we know who the real Satoshi is. Dorian Nakamoto probably doesn't even know what a PGP key is, and I'm pretty sure the creator of Bitcoin would know.
2112  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: January 02, 2016, 11:52:37 AM
We can also buy goods with fiat, I don't see your point here. If we can already do it with fiat, how is Bitcoin going to take over. It is like the saying, don't fix it if it ain't broken. At first I thought the government would never let this happen because thousands of people would lose their jobs, but then I realised that people could just go and work for a Bitcoin bank. Anywho, Bitcoin is never going to replace fiat.
2113  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone to retype a document - "manual ocr" - seeking price quote on: January 02, 2016, 11:48:51 AM
Hm, how would a dollar a page sound? Tongue
A dollar per page sounds really good for anyone that is good at typing and wants to make a quick buck. But the person trying to get the documents typed out, would be losing a lot of money. He doesn't want to waste $1 a page. He wants to pay very little and lose the least he can. You won't be seeing him increase the pay anytime soon unless he get really desperate.
2114  Economy / Services / Re: Amazon.com order (vouched) on: January 02, 2016, 11:24:15 AM
Still doing this! Email at thefrancis1864@gmail.com if interested
Are you able to order something around 1100$ to your place and then ship it to me (without unpacking of course), I could pay for the second shipping and the escrow fees.
Most probably it would be an electronic good.

That's too high for my terms in escrow.
Also, why not just deliver the goods directly to your location?
Willing to do your rquest but with fees of course.
What is your budget? I wanted to buy a gaming PC off amazon, but no one wants to accept Bitcoin as payment. When I saw this topic, I was very interested, but then now you say you can't buy something for $1100. You should have put a price limit on your original posts, that way, people like me won't get confused. I would also like to purchase a HyperX Cloud II gaming headset. PM me if you are interested.
2115  Economy / Services / Re: eBay & Amazon seller needed to sell something for me. No investment needed. on: January 02, 2016, 11:16:44 AM
First of all, are you going to use an escrow for this service. Otherwise this service will have absolutely no trust and no on will join. Also, don't try to use master-p as your escrow, even less people will join. What kind of items do we need to sell, are we selling anything that will get us in trouble? Is the commission set at 7% or can you make it 10%. Maybe I will join if you increase the commission.
2116  Economy / Services / Re: [free service] If you fell depressed on: January 02, 2016, 11:04:52 AM
I just want to tell you OP, I think what you are doing here is great. A lot of people in the world don't have anyone to talk to, offering to help them is a really caring thing to do.

I'll be there for you, to listen and give you some advice, as much as I can.

During our conversations you'll be the most important thing. If you have any personal troubles and feel deserted, lonely and hopeless I'll be there for you. Just PM me and remember that if you feel alone, you're not alone.

What a coinsicidence.

Man, I've problem with my girlfriend. I want to share it.
It is necessary for me as a man to buy something everything that she want ?
I'm not a rich guy but SHE'S always complaining about me
Should I end this relationship ?
Just leave her. She is clearly just in the relationship for the money. If she truly loved you, she wouldn't care about how much money you have and she wouldn't make you buy all that stuff.
2117  Economy / Services / Re: Ejarwan's ESCROW SERVICE [STEAM RELATED STUFF] on: January 02, 2016, 10:49:18 AM
Do you use or have never used PGP for a better security ? I suggest you to create your pgp key Wink. Best of luck with your escrow service, but after recent 'exit scam of a 'good' escrow master-p I don't think users will trust you.
I definitely recommend that you create a PGP key. You will be much more trusted that way. The master-p situation was very abrupt, no one saw it coming. I don't People are using escrows that much anymore, after that incident.

Anyway, if people want to escrow steam stuff; they can just go and find a trusted middleman. It doesn't have to be related to Bitcoin talk.

ok i will try out your service please, i need to trade an account for 0.03 i have PMed you

edit: hold on maybe my buyer has gone and found an escrow, not sure yet, will let you know
I am pretty sure that he said he was only escrowing steam items, so yeah.....

Maybe you should find another escrow, that is escrowing funds.
2118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So do you really think Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 02, 2016, 10:41:02 AM
100% bullshit, there's no way Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto. He just know a lot about bitcoin Roll Eyes
Also, there's no way Satoshi Nakamoto sell his bitcoin for gold since he's the founder.

It's just usual misdirection by media
If Craig Wright was the real Satoshi Nakamoto, then why would he sell that much Bitcoin to buy gold. The maker of Bitcoin would be a smart guy, he would know how good Bitcoin is.

There is absolutely no chance that Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Not at all. Satoshi wouldn't be publicly talking about bitcoins.

Another misdirection by the media.

Definitely. We don't know who the real satoshi is until he signs a legitimate PGP key. All I can say is that Craig Wright is not satoshi.
And he hasn't signed a PGP key yet, so there is no trace of the real Satoshi. He could be one of our own, as in someone on this forum.
2119  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: January 01, 2016, 06:47:29 AM
Bitcoin still has an extremely long future ahead of itself. It is still only in its early stages. I believe that Bitcoin will never replace fiat, as much as people say it will, I just don't think so. In the next couple of years, I think that we will see the price of Bitcoin breach $1000. With the demand increasing and halving just around the corner, we will be seeing this price rise in the next couple of years.
2120  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 31, 2015, 09:50:33 PM
I don't that Bitcoin will never replace fiat. You are asking the wrong question, you should be asking if Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar. Bitcoin is still in its early stages whereas fiat has been around for a very very long time. I don't ever think that Bitcoin will ever replace fiat. Somethings you will always need to use fiat to pay for. I think there will always be these 2 currencies in the world.
