2101  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there formula for bitcoin price ? on: January 19, 2020, 02:54:19 PM

Although it is simplied model, while it provides basic thinking about it.

My question is is there other popular model/formula about it ?
I dont think there would be a model/formula about it yet here on cryptospace where people do only refer on whats being written on coinmarketcap.com when it comes to
its total market capitalization which would signify its demand and this isnt the accurate one since OTC trades arent really being tallied nor being included.
BTC price is the average total on where bitcoin is being traded.

There is really no accurate formula for the bitcoin price. Spare yourself in knowing one as there is nothing that you will find. The formulas the OP presented are just basic equations to get the approximate price. But looking for an accurate one, nope. There are a lot of factors in play here, aside from countless exchanges involved, the happenings or situations surrounding the use of bitcoin or crypto are immeasurable.
It could go just like the normal stocks in the market, demand will In determine the price of a particular thing. If the demand is high, the market value would be expensive. But the problem is that, demand and supply do not ALWAYS accurately predict or determine the price of Bitcoin given that its market value is changing from time to time. Market volume on the other hand determines the rate of exchanges in every transaction which do somewhat reflects into the market price. But to sum it up, there is indeed no formula to exactly explain the price of crypto.
2102  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: January 19, 2020, 02:16:21 PM
What will happen if crypto vanishes overnight or due to some or the other reason if crypto becomes inaccessible to public? I know this does not make sense as crypto will not vanish but still what if it happens? What about those huge chunk of investments made by whales and other investors?

Those huge investments would become instantly worthless. But you said it yourself, this scenario makes no sense. Crypto could be banned or the internet could be cut off, or it could end up being a passing fad. At no point would it simply vanish though.

Even if the internet went down worldwide, the blockchains would still exist, waiting to be mined once the network returns.
Given how many cryptos are there and how many company are behind those cryptos, it is really impossible for it to vanish in a sudden. Cryptos are facing issues in different countries which is proven by some countries who are not yet adapting such technology. They are having issues with it in which we cannot blame but it would be absurd to think that this would be the reason for such thing also being given that there are countries where cryptos are widely being used.
2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: January 19, 2020, 01:27:56 PM
To me crypto world market nowadays is taken another dimension and most investors trying to caution themselves  because no one ready to lost his or her resources again and the interest is getting down everyday.

I think people have run out of their patience due to which probably some of them have booked losses as well. But good news is that market have started to move upwards and this can bring back the smiles on the people back to their life.
Many people hesitate to invest at this moment despite of some positive signs that we are seeing with regards to cryptos' market value. We cannot blame them for doing so given that there"s no assurance still whether the positive scenario will now be continuous or dumps will again occur. Let's just hope there will be more to come in order to again catch the interest of more investors towards this industry.
2104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 19, 2020, 11:51:47 AM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.

It is very good to hold bitcoin and ethereum in the long run but you have and more and more also add other coins that have upward potential like BTC and ETH and that can add to your portfolio.
TRX, LINK, LTC, DOGE BAT, BNB will be the best choice for you.
Because a lot of news this year the cryptocurrency market will grow well.
There are many different cryptos having huge potential to have a market value uprise once recovery occur but only few would be good for long term holding. Only those which have generated a huge community  of users including demand and volume, would surely be the ideal cryptos to hold. Specifically, big names in this industry as Bitcoin. Holding the new ones would give a bigger risk compared to holding the 'big' ones.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy. on: January 19, 2020, 10:52:16 AM
Hmm you just put small bet to all those matchs and waiting for the result. I thought you were all in with your 0.02 btc to a match which you really think it would be win. If you are throwing your bet like that, for me it's like you only depends from your luck to win the bet
Yeah agree but since the game is base on skills I think he just wants to spread all of his bet so that if he loses the other bet it can lesser the loss amount. Compared to just bet it on a single team and if you lose then you lose everything without chances of winning on the next sports/fight.
Spreading them is just the way to get a lesser risk to lose.
Spreading bet would result to bigger loss especially if you would bet for many teams perhaps there are many teams, only one would win so if you would be betting into three, and let's say one of those 3 won, your 2 bets would surely lose giving you a bigger loss. Just bet on a team of your choice and just enjoy the game whether you lose or win. Losing is more likely happening in gambling. If you are not losing, then it is not gambling anymore.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 19, 2020, 10:08:03 AM
That would be an easy win for Manny if the fight will be in boxing rules or easy win for Connor if that would be in the octagon. Both fighters have different fighting styles and stamina because of their sports. I think this match will be just for money, and the results will be too predictable.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this kind of fight, this is just for money, but the fight will be boring to watch because the results are pretty easy to predict.

You right this match is just for money and entertainment
But whatyou mean about easy to predict, Do you think that if the fighter who gets the biggest bets and money libe has to lose?
No one knows how would a match work when two different 'legends' from different fields , fight each other. There would be biases such that one would have advantages over the other one if conditions of that one side would be meet. If this fight would be possible, we would already have assumptions of what would happen since such concept have already happened between Connor and Floyd. I doubt that the one who would have bigger bets would end up losing.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 17, 2020, 01:22:35 PM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?
Out of luck I made a big earning from gambling. This took place within 24hrs of time. First I lost five ethereum and to recover back I risked another five and got back the lost five along with additional five ethereum. This went on and luck gave me big earning. My mind-set changed to think of making big money and stay comfortable earning through gambling.

Within the next 24hrs I lost what I earned along with my entire balance in the portfolio. Beyond that went for borrowing from friends. Finally I was in huge debt, at that time understood should not think to make money from gambling for living.
This has something to do with the difference between hard earned money and easily earned money. The profit from gambling would be sometimes big but take note how rare it is to win in gambling without knowing how big the loss became while aiming for that bigtime win. Hard earned money would be spent wisely given that someone strived in order to earn it unlike in profit from such activity that would give an individual the idea tht it will be again earned in no time. We should keep in mind that winning in gambling is not certain. This is enough say that only few people are lucky enough to be rich from gambling.
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 17, 2020, 12:43:57 PM
There's a story that my mom told me, it's about my uncle who once became a gambling addict that there comes a time where he sold most of their things in their house just to find money to gamble. The worst thing that my uncle did is to pledge their house just to satisfy his gambling pleasures.

I know it's not easy to overcome this situation especially when you're already in your point that you want to get back everything that you have lost. You keep on gambling thinking you can earn everything back. Actually, we're already lucky enough if we continuously win the game but even our luck has its own limitations. Without noticing it, our wins are slowly turning into losses.

I also know that some of us here will just put their attention on different things to avoid too much gambling. But in reality, it's just easy to say but harder to do. There's no easy way if you really got attached to gambling. But in your opinion or personal experiences, how do you overcome your addiction to gambling?

If you are deeply addicted you need help from your family and professional, I'm not that really addicted I can always find a way to not play even if I have money to play, there's a lot of things to do in life besides gambling, I only gamble at spare time and if time permit me.
Personal aid would be a great help in order to overcome something but sometimes we do need  professional help for us to achieve such. Addiction is really a serious thing, therefore we should give caution to other people before they become addicted into something especially in such activity as gambling in which many people are being too interested because money and profit is involved. At the end of the day, it is really ourselves who would be the biggest help in order to overcome addiction.
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling cashback services? on: January 17, 2020, 11:43:36 AM
cash back , you mean something like rakeback  ? where you earn some percent depending on you waggers amount    . or  you actually mean cashback or earning from referall / affliate  ?

referal / affliate program means you cant refer your self but you can possibly refer your alt account or dummy account ,  i see alot of gamblers doing it  and it was allowed to some gambling site as long as you and your alt account wont active on the same connection / ip   ( same real time  )

I think that you are overthinking it.
Cashback is simple: you use their referral, they give you back some percents of their earning related to your account.
But as far as I know, no such gambling site exist at this moment. There are bonuses and other previlledges but no gambling site gives rewards from referrals in particular with gambling sites. Probably, it is because such program would result into profit loss given that users could use multiple accounts. As a user of such sites, I am already contended with the beginners rewards and bonuses but maybe, if they would solve and make this program in reality, this would be a huge help to us, gamblers.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: January 17, 2020, 09:11:44 AM
I'll ask such a banal question (yes, is there already a rule in this forum)

Do you know how to make money by betting Esports? Do you have any good ways (in your opinions) to make money? Or maybe only intuition , current form, players' morale?
The tip to win in the sport betting is deep analysis about the players and squad which may give an idea about winner but not for sure.Institution based betting may not be fit for sport betting since it is strategy based we need to decide what will happen while the matches are going.

Guaranteed way for making money in the sport betting is match fixing but it is illegal to do.
A matter of knowing the capabilities of the players you would bet into is a must. Betting on the team just because the majority told you to do so, would more likely result to regrets because in such aspect, it will all be because of the hype. Watching their previous games will be more advantageous than to listen to the majority and to decide for your own. On the other hand, in order to make it more profitable, be mindful of how much you would bet. If you are confident enough, betting all of your money still is not advisable because things could go possibly wrong. Bottomline is decision-making, analysis, and self control with regards to the bet.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: January 17, 2020, 07:51:41 AM
What is exactly meant and understood by this "personal enjoyment" generic category?
Yeah, quite confusing this but for sure, it's totally something self pleasure when doing gambling, more entertaining our ownselfs.
honestly I get pleasure when I play poker because I like strategy games, maybe the fun side of poker is that this game really doesn't depend on luck. but in other types of games such as pure luck, I don't get the pleasure of every play, in my opinion, only victory makes us happy. but it is indeed difficult to gauge the level of pleasure of others, maybe for them it is fun, and vice versa for me it's normal.
Maybe it is the joy one person feels whenever he experience winning. In any form of gambling whether it is pure luck or strategical, losing is more certain and more expected before even playing the game. Although winning do not happen often, small time win is enough for the gamblers to continue such activity which makes gambling an addicting activity. Good thing is that there are still people who just enjoy the game itself and not the profit from doing so. It is just matter of a gambler's mindset of what would make him stay to the 'game'.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 16, 2020, 10:41:33 AM
It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding
Right, because not many tokens or coins have real casings, so we need to research and be more careful in choosing tokens or coins to hold for a long time, because it would be very painful if a token is expensive but the volume is not there.
The market volume is simply a reflection of the demand and volume highly affects the market price of a token. If the market value is high, but the volume is low, the price itself cannot be trusted because there's a tendency for the market value to increase or decrease, or to make it simple, low market volume will not accurately determine the market value of a token. The higher the volume the more it determines the price of a token for that moment. With that being said, investing into such would more likely expose the investor into risk.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: token supply on: January 16, 2020, 08:35:49 AM
sometimes I think if you look at the amount of token supply in such a large amount that trillions and trillions after the project runs several months or years, the token will be burned, what for if you make tokens with a large supply, but will be burned, ...?

 Roll Eyes
Probably its a strategy of most projects creating large supply then burn later. They burn tokens for some reason, one is they burn the unsold tokens from crowdfunding and number two in they are trying to make their token scarce by reducing supply.
Are there possibilities that they are doing so because they want the demand for the token to increase which would also reflect to its market value? In such way, a token would have a bigger value and would have a place in the "market"? I came up with this idea since most of the coins or tokens that are from projects with large supply often result to coins with low market price especially whenever dumps happen which are not catching the interest of the investors to invest in it. Just correct me if I'm wrong. The reason of most of the projects for burning the excess supply is for the good of the project itself for a long run, but i cannot still see the essence, clearly.
2114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 16, 2020, 07:33:50 AM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position
New altcoins are like double edge sword it might hook up with bitcoin price trend or go in the opposite of it.I won't take risk of holding new altcoins so you made the smart move.
The problem is confusion. Many investors and people in this industry are having a hard time with their belief which might be the result of the traumatic experiences of continuous downfall of the past. But still, it doesn't mean that such situation will be reflected to the present. Therefore, there is still a chance for the new alts to make a takeover if ever there would be an uprise eventually. There are many good projects having huge potential right now. But it is also a good idea to stick with the current holdings in order to avoid making risky decisions or in other words, be safe from regrets. Take note how unpredictable the market became, no one knows what would happen next.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other than bitcoin is it worth to invest in Ripple? on: January 15, 2020, 04:23:44 PM
Personally, I think that investing is the best way to increase your funds. I think that a coin like Ripple should soon show its best side and give an opportunity in 2020. Personally, I believe that 2020 will be the most profitable year in the history of the crypto industry for all coins.
I don't think Ripple can rise well this year as this coin has a huge supply and recently lots of XRP have been unlocked. In my opinion, they can sell at any time and make the Ripple value collapse so it's best to look for a better new coin. There are currently many new options for you and you can consider some coins like Atom, Eos, Matic, Toko because these are 4 coins I currently hold.
Ripple is one of the good altcoins in the market but I doubt of it as something that would be profitable for a long run. Its market value indeed has shown potential but I don't think potential would be enough in the market situation that we are having. On choosing a crypto at this moment to invest , I do think that the new ones would be more likely to have a chance of being profitable if and only if there would be an uprise soon. Holding what you have would also be a good idea in order to be safe from regrets eventually, given that the market still is hard to predict.
2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: January 15, 2020, 03:45:08 PM
I need some details about this project "Hypnoxys". This token already listed in coinmarketcap and number is almost 16**. But I'm still curious to know is this project still legit to everyone. Here is some details about this project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110522.0

It is a NO for me. I cannot advise you to invest in it. I saw the 24 hours traded volume, I was not encouraged. It is listed on one exchange, which I do not trust, you can check CMC for that. Everything about it looks like scam and in fact, I will call it a scam project. If you invest in it and you succeed in selling, it will still  be a loss.
Never heard of such project before. Making a research would really be a huge help before engaging into any form of investment. But asking for others' idea and point of view towards a particular topic, and in this case,Hypnoxys, is a good decision. Hypnoxys is by far, considered by many people as dead, despite of it being on top sixteen in Coin Market Cap, as OP have stated. There are other factors to consider still such as the volume and its market value. If it is a bit stable or is not that 'moving', then I won't suggest investing into it.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need Bitcoin, If Altcoins Transfers Are Faster And Cheaper on: January 15, 2020, 03:14:58 PM
Really Bitcoin transfers are expensive and lower speed, therefore altcoins are much easy to transfer. For small transfer amounts Bitcoin is not usable.

I think there is a lot of truth to what you are saying even if it isn't popular.  There are some altcoins that are faster and have cheaper transaction fees.  They need to be fully vetted though to make sure they don't have flaws.
Altcoins are indeed having advantages over Bitcoin when it comes to the speed of transactions but as what I have observed, the advantage would only work when it is an altcoin to altcoin conversion, in particular with trading. The role of Bitcoin is to be in the middle since it is more often used in most of the countries, unlike on some altcoins in particular with the new ones which are not yet recognized in some countries, especially when a user would want to convert his crypto into fiat.

2119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you go to blockchain/crypto events? on: January 10, 2020, 01:22:07 AM
Well, it's impossible for me to go there even I want to because my im from another country and for me right now it is impossible for me to go there, but if happens that it there's an event like that in my country then I'm happy to go and learn more about crypto world. Also, I want to say that maybe next time you should do a proper post, you should not put a lot of space in your texts. It doesn't loome good to see.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: January 09, 2020, 11:01:11 AM
Well, my only expectation for 2020 is that more opportunities to come so that we will see that opportunity and grab it and will result to a good earning, and I think it will come true because if you will notice the bitcoin price in the recent days up to know increased again from dumping and thankfully, I got to buy bitcoins when its price is dumping, and that's a good profit for me. Also, I expect that the altcoins will do well too because I see that they are doing great for the past few days especially XRP that its price goes up suddenly and unexpectedly, well in all I just want good things will happen in this year.
