That is really sad some one  holding the coins or tokens for long periods of time and finally see some pump In price but no trading volume in crypto market. So better to understand the situation and get the benefits on time otherwise we can face of  that kind of situation because there is no guarantee in crypto market for your investments.

When there are circulating coin, there would always be people buying and selling. If there are no buyers, the sellers keep on decreasing the price and if there are no sellers the buyers keeps on increasing the price till they get their suitable match. Any coin with no volume and high price is a fake price.

In my case its the opposite i have a token with a volume but the price is so low, i thought holding it for a year will give me huge reward but i was wrong. Hopefully to get back what ive invested into this coin.

usually those holding tokens are the result of bounties and some new investors (who expect a miracle).. if true holders will definitely hold coins that are definitely in the top 10 or top 20 at Coinmarketcap (it certainly has trading activity and high trading volume), and they don't want to take high risk if holding coins that do not have trading activity.

coin albeit having a really high price if there is no way to liquidate it is just as good as those coin, not to mention how vulnerable the coin toward market manipulation and people who want to sell it and get tired of waiting will just straight up dump it to another lower price point. as you said its just useless and dont expect someone to buy the coin taking your place and  get trapped into the same cycle.

Right, because not many tokens or coins have real casings, so we need to research and be more careful in choosing tokens or coins to hold for a long time, because it would be very painful if a token is expensive but the volume is not there.

This totally wasting of time and money. I've seen a lot of coin/token that has in this situation, they are either dead or no usage at all. Be careful on this because a lot of them in the crypto space.

it's a relative thing for me. as long the project still alive,u still have a value on that project.
about no volume on positive thinking, its mean the holders wont sell it, or people still thinking to buy it since the price is so high.
just see MAKER, they have a small volume rather than another on top 30 coinmarket, never touch 20 million dialy volume since february last year,but the fact they have 445 million market cap,wich mean holders have no interest to sell it.
another example, see TRX, its totally money gaming inside, almost every day have 1 billion dialy volume,but the market cap just around 950 million.

Its the case for some coins I hold myself and they are also listed in tiny exchange like STEX.  This is what happens when the developer had already exit yet there are few traders very hopeful because they've bought the tokens at the cheapest price possible.  There are also coins that has low supply but no traders are keeping it which is why the price reaches up to $1 but the volume only is $10, this kind of coin should be delisted in exchange and from coinmarketcap because it will just increase the amount of scammed individuals.

First we look at the volume first because holding a token or coin with no volume is useless because someday it will be pumped but the volume on the exchange does not exist so it will be shitcoin too.
Keep in mind if you want to hold in the long run we must see the potential of tokens or coins first after you do your research and make your investment in the long run.

I know the pain one goes through when their coin has no trading volume at all as I had similar experience with few bounty projects and I still have lacs of bounty tokens which cannot be traded. Volume is the first thing we need to check before hodling any coin, I always consider volume before investing as well after ending up with useless tokens in my wallet.

That's what I thought too or I mistakenly hold the wrong coins. I really never hold coins for long term but I saw my friend holds a coin and it really skyrocketed and so I told to myself to start holding coins for long term. But things turn out differently, from a 7 digit down to 4 digit which is very disappointing.

I don't know when or if I ever recover my losses as it keeps losing its value. More likely, more dump than pump.

This shouldn't be a problem if you are holding a coin with good use case or a viable project with good potential to grow. If you are holding to dump, then this could be problem. Besides, I don't think it's a good idea to invest long term in new projects that aren't viable. In my opinion, you need the opinion of honest and experienced members before investing in Crypto projects.

If project plan is good than in future volume will be increased. I have some interest in low volume coin, although now Cryptocurrency doesn't repeat same thing as did 2017 in bullrun. This could be a hype by some users like africunia token price huge again very low, volume is few hundreds dollar.

its not a problem at all, if the coin has no volume then wait for buyers, just place your order and hopefully someone will buy your order. Thats it, a simple problem has also a simple answer.

What for have higher price of some altcoin but not volume transaction, how to sell this coin? I got many altcoin always give fake price on exchange market with higher price because they only have small volume transaction and not available for selling our coin in the market, first time we need higher volume transaction to sell and buy some altcoin.

Investing in a new project is actually not good enough because indeed most of their projects die in the middle of the road and do not even have the volume in trading that may be left by investors.
I do not like any new projects to invest especially altcoin which is more likely to lead to scams, think clearly with many other coins to hold in the long run and that can make you to be appealed to have to have a new project.

That is what happens to most of the tokens out in the market. First they would giv nyou an enticing high price value then would eventually fall off and never recover. Maybe  Deveolopers are not so active in making any progress of projects or maybe sometimes they completely abandon it or maybe investors themselves don't see any potentials out of the projects.
