Why would a bank or say a FB branded PayKey add Gemz........? I'm really talking to a wall here. I'll put it simple. the choice is Gemz is included in an app, a unique app that no other makes payments possible in ALL social networks that can be downloaded and used by 2 billion users worldwide, snapchat, Whatsapp, etc........or as what is happening it will be included in getgems which hasn't got past 10,000 users on Google Play in one year.......at the same time it will be available to anyone else who wants to use it. You do the maths..... Gems will be included in 'PayKey for GetGems' which is coming out soon and the current GetGems app. This is a unique app, can be downloaded by 2B users worldwide on every social platform you mentioned. Those who like Bitcoin/Crypto and want to use it on all social platforms need to download PayKey for GetGems or the current GetGems app. Some people don't want Crypto at all but just want fiat, these people can use the app offered by their bank if it has PayKey or maybe the GetGems apps if it supports fiat aswell where you can connect your bankaccount. Lets say i want to use Bitcoin and fiat, i would have to download GetGems app. Not every bank is going to support PayKey here, for these people if the GetGems apps also would support fiat aside from bitcoin and gems, they would have to download the GetGems app aswell. I actually hope at one point the GetGems apps also integrate fiat payments and that's where their colabration with banks now might come handy in the future. What makes PayKey for GetGems unique is its ability to use Bitcoin and in the future AE requiring Gems. No banks will have this, yes maybe banks will have PayKey but instead the team gets lots of recognition and good deals which is good for GetGems. |

Some of u seem to keep pushing the agenda of them using crowdfund money to develop paykey, but you dont realise they wont receive any money if a milestone hasn't been met, when they deliver a certain milestone they are free in how to go from there, and spend the funds they got for delivering the milestone. Almost all milestone have been delivered except the ae which needs time. To be honest im not even sure if they didnt whitelable it they would be given the opportunities like joining citis accelarator program where they get lot of tools and backing to develope themselves.
While i agree with nextgencoin to a degree, whitelabeling also brings some benefits like receiving more funds and connection and more capabilities for innovative features as they earn more from this. 1M is nothing the raised in the beginning, snapchat raised 1B. Dont forget that paykey for getgems will still be the only app which provides bitcoin and gems, no bank is going to offer that, this alone can give lot recognition. The decision has already been made, now we can go back to some scammy alt that probably will never see the light of an average person using its service or stay supportive to a project that has the tools to make a difference. I personally wont even think about going back to another alt after all the efforts i ve seen from GG, im in bitcoin, augur and gg, these have all the potential to make it into mainstream. If paykey gets successfull then it will be like venmo, applepay or any other big player has incorporated bitcoin and gems.
If lets say citi incorporates paykey this means that getgems has made a product that has reached 100M users, its not gems but still getgems made this possible and it will be great advertising since its done under the getgems brand which still is mentioning gems, can you see the headlines already?

But I think what is concerning a few of us is that will NOT be the case. Why would a bank take on PAYKEY tech so they can funnel their customers money and bother with the attention economy? Like Daniel said the White Label would be payment agnostic, banks would use fiat. basically like one poster said if they give the tech out as white label then actually you have created a bunch of competitors with exactly the same tech....Worse still you make getgems almost obsolete offering very little that now wont be available on any social platform. Like I said I hoped Getgems would create an app and have it all under their own roof forcing it to use BTC and GEMS and the attention model....but having banks connect up with it as a fiat gateway. I want to be wrong honestly..... The lack of clarification from the team regarding paykey(S) is telling even after the AMA. We know we are getting paykey for gems. We know banks will be getting tailored paykey apps. What we dont know know is if the Banks paykey version will have any connection to the Gemz ecosystem. IE-Is gemz used in the background as a transfer method for fiat. Will there be advertising on the Banks paykey app and if so, how will it be paid for (gemz/fiat). Will the Banks paykey version have rewards and how will users be paid (Gemz/fiat)? If not there will be paykey versions competing with paykey for gemz. If the Banks also have the attention model paying users in fiat, they win as the average guy on the street will go with fiat/bank rather than gemz/bitcoin well said. lets just wait for the full details from Daniel and his team. There is no doubt about GetGems being one of the most groundbraking Crypto related projects in the making, but there is one very importent thing that is holding up Gemz real potential to increase its price big time.
And that is pairing Gemz with BTC, pairing with bitcoin isn't beneficial to Gemz at all. It's too volatile and when bitcoins price goes up people sell to ride bitcoin and when its price goes down it drags other projects down with it so to me it's a lose lose scenario. Even when in gemz case the project is doing very well its price still depends on bitcoin volatility, this ruins some great efforts imo. It just holds up a projects price like Gemz from growing.
Now what can we do about this issue, other alts can't do anything because if they would only be paired with fiat not many would buy because they have no community outside crypto. Since GetGems userbase eventually will exist 90% outside Crypto they would prefer to buy Gemz with fiat anyway.
Imo Gemz should be just like bitcoin where the majority is trading it with fiat, once the attention economy gets implemented i say we should ditch BTC pairing, it really is holding down some potential in GetGems marketcap. Lets say Bitcoin crashes to 50, this would screw up Gemz price aswell. Put Gemz pairing only against fiat i will bet the Gemz price will appreciate much more.

My Personal Analysis of PayKey and How Important GETGEMS App + Attention Economy arethere is only one little concern left but its something in the long run - Competition. This means that other people can start working on this very same idea (PayKey) and further innovate it. This idea/feature alone is great, awesome and fantastic - being able to send fiat, BTC or GEMZ to another and put ads on a keyboard. BUT PayKey will not work by itself...alone. The Attention Economy and the GETGEMS App will play some very very huge important roles. Because of those 2, not only will PayKey work but it elevates PayKey to the next level/s: -- Got money, Got ShowPayKey alone will not be able to reach out to the global audience as there is absolutely no social aspect. It is Market Penetrative because it can reach out to every social person or smartphone user BUT nobody will want it...and no eyes will want to see ads. Putting ads on the keyboard is great for advertisers. but whats in it for us users? who the heck wants to use such a keyboard??? would you? no! Because there's nothing in it for us. But with monetary gains, we will. For those who aren't in for the monetary gains, users will have the option to choose to allow ads to appear or not to appear. -- A Heaven For Ads Now, putting ads on PayKey will be WAY BETTER than putting ads on a Youtube video or a website with high traffic (i.e. millions of visitors per day): (1) Potential Extremely Super Ultra High Traffic (Billions with an 's'...not million) (2) Ads get more viewing time (appears frequently, as often as using the keyboard vs visiting a website or watching Youtube) (?) Ads get Parallel Viewing (seeing the keyboard and ads at the same time in an area of focus where the eye is focusing). It's a '?' because i am not sure how the ads will appear. Think about it, you visit a website, all you want is the content of the website. Ads are just occupying space making it difficult for you to browse. and there are other ads there too. So the chances of catching any visitor's attention...is low. For Youtube, the chances are higher. Because majority of the ads are interesting. Because its Dynamic (videos). not Static (images). Its eye-catching. Some ads can't be skipped and you are forced to watch it. But for the past few years, there's AdBlock. So Advertisers and Youtubers are losing out. -- No more blocking Ads However, the option to choose what kind of ads users want to see is game changing. *Not sure if this is part of the Attention Economy RoadMap Plans. But it can be further developed* (1) Guaranteed Attention from users (Targetted Audience/Market reached as targetted by the audiences themselves) (2) Little Competition-over-Ad-Space with other different kind of ads (because targetted by the audiences themselves) (3) Even more viewing Time simply putting ads in a place not dictated by the choice of users/audiences will just be like any other ads space/place. Because we can't do that in websites, on TVs, on Radios or even on Youtube. Users are completely left out of the Ads Scene without any role to play. All the work is done by advertisers. the most they can do is making sure they put ads at the right places - putting ads about computers in places that is all about computers. The ONLY place i can think of where users have a role to play in the Ads Scene is Emails - choosing which emails we are interested in to receive. Heard of EmailCashPro? But seriously speaking, its quite a hassle, time-consuming, not very productive and not very beneficial in the end to view emails these days because we have so many different emails and for advertisers, i believe its not working out too well for them too. -- What's in a Keyboard? Also, many exciting features that can be build in an app (GETGEMS App) will not be able to be build into a keyboard. the idea alone of sending fiat, BTC or other cryptocurrencies...there are some alternatives for that already. it doesn't need to be on a keyboard. PayKey will not be driven or boosted by itself. there's no catch or connected synergy (whatever that means). So it looks like Daniel and the GETGEMS Team got this really nicely covered  Conclusion...i watched the video that Daniel and the GETGEMS Team presented at 43North Competition. They only talked about PayKey. Attention Economy and the GETGEMS App were mostly left out of the whole picture. Probably already got presented before getting shortlisted as a finalist. Had they been given more time to present the whole entire project, i think the judges would be mindblown. With these 3 together fully well-developed and with whatever other additions in the future, it will blow away every other social messaging app. i'm guessing that the judges were being very very focused on just the PayKey idea alone and didn't seem very impressed. probably because they might have thought "this is quite simple to code actually, i could easily get some good developers to make one". But they probably don't see the whole entire picture. For those who have been closely following GETGEMS, Daniel and the GETGEMS Team have been very very careful so far in ensuring that everything falls into place. step by step, the app is coming along nicely. Laying the foundation is the biggest and hardest before one can start building the top. It is where most of the resources are needed. otherwise, everything build on top of it will just come falling down. For now, GETGEMS is in the lead and has been getting support both financially and non-financially. those are huge advantages, assuming there isn't any secret project/s out there with the same idea/feature already. With this new announcement and addition to the GETGEMS Project, which is PayKey, i can't wait for 2016. With additional funds and recognition received from competitions and hopefully more support, GETGEMS is entering full steam ahead. And after 2016, who knows what else Daniel and the GETGEMS Team has in store? BTW...i was thinking if PrimeDice could use some kind of simple flash animation. you know, a picture of that mustache man rolling the dice, a scroll bar to adjust winning chances and amount to bet. some really simple buttons and animations would be great if it can be implemented into the app somehow. it will be a lot more user-friendly...really.  This makes me very ecxited for the near future, can't wait already for paykey and attention economy. |

The 0.5 % goes to Daniel and his fellows. Daniel is the ceo of GetGems and his 'fellows' are the iOS developer, Android developer, backend and graphics designers. The 0.5% is called a fee, you pay a fee in exchange for services. It's how a company makes money to run a business, offer new services and for its staff to make a living, even Bitcoin has fees. This is a far reaching project not just the average altcoin. If you are looking for a serious project then i would stay away from one where its devs can't earn money from it because that is a lack of users adoption and interest, having no funds for development is a fail. |

Even if the only news was 27% monthly adoption I would be excited, with everything else especially PayKey I'm crazily excited. I also have questions and will wait for the question time. I hope the team focuses on the essentials now and gets PayKey out in the wild ASAP....my hunch is its gonna be huge. I see 3 big benefits for Gemz with Paykey: - It will make Gemz tokens global, you will be able to transact Gemz on every social media, facebook, Whatsapp, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Wechat etc. - It will be possible to advertise via the Paykey space which is straight from the keyboard on your smartphone, and they will need Gemz tokens to advertise. - Companies who want to use Paykey will get to know the GetGems brand which is great advertising itsself. |

GetGems (for smartphone) rates are very good and give you multiple ways to earn. You just tap on the cards and it will be added to your wallet, i'll use nem in your post as a reference. Daily bonus you don't have to do anything for it and gives you around 1.5x more, invite friends card gives you around 25x for each person and daily airdrop can vary from 1.5x to like 1000x or more. Amount of daily airdrop i believe depends on your activity in the app, inviting friends and the amount of Gems one holds in his/her wallet.  |

The mood will change drastically around here if we find out that paykey is a different product and will use a new crypto with new ICO etc, so fuck waiting weeks or months for an announcement. I would be really surprised if it was though. Also airdrop isnt on ios yet
