2101  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best/ quickest wallet to import private keys for mac on: August 17, 2015, 09:19:49 PM
what about blockchain.info online wallet, you can import multiple keys quickly with them
Ok thanks to bother the electric ones... I dint j ow you could do that! Will give it a try
Don't get bogged down with the mess of 2FA, verification, and browser storage with blockchain.info if you can avoid it. Just use Electrum (by setting up a normal wallet, preferably recording the seed and stuff to prevent the case where you start using the wallet fully and it gets lost), and then import your private keys from elsewhere.

That's a misquote. I never said the first sentence. Do you mean to include it outside the quote?
Yes sorry I was using my phone... I'm going to try Electrum tomorrow see how it works.

For sure. We do need a hard core committed dev. . I mean who is running the main server of the coin? What help us needed? Give us info and let the community help or something. Don't let something so great slowly fade

2106  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best/ quickest wallet to import private keys for mac on: August 17, 2015, 07:00:39 PM
You can import private keys with bitcoin-qt fastly without rescanning, in few seconds
just when importing private key, add rescan=false at the end of command

Yes mate I know but QT grinds my computer to a raging fire if I leave the wallet shut for a few days
2107  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Best/ quickest wallet to import private keys for mac on: August 17, 2015, 05:40:06 PM
Hi I know how to import private keys using bitcoin qt but this is heavy on my mac book pro. Are there any other wallets you can import or sweep keys? I have 30 bitcoin addresses on with clams and have been told I need to take off the btw first.
Thanks in advance
2108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest legal way of moving 50k euros from China to france on: August 17, 2015, 10:29:54 AM
seeing the OP stipulates "legal" this whole thread is pointless as there is no legal way of getting 50k euros out of China, several are suggesting ways to not get caught ie using bitcoin but no one has or could mention an actual legal way....cause there aint one.

and if someone could find a legal way i'd be most happy to hear about it myself.

Really? So you can not bank transfer? I am not sure Chinese banks do this or not.
2109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest legal way of moving 50k euros from China to france on: August 17, 2015, 10:28:16 AM
So in china you can't legally buy bitcoin which sucks.. so has any of the financial minds on here got any ideas how to move money from China to France reasonably cheap? Maybe bitcoin is legal now over there I am not sure so thought I would ask. Maybe ripple but I can't quite work out what they are or if it's ok in china. Anyway anyone any ideas please?

Buy gold. Gold is cheap in china and expensive in france. Fill up dat suitcase with gold bars and coin and take the next plane to France (1st clase of cause, I heard that Air France serve exelent Lumbster on 1st class + the free booze all the way). Walk out the plane like a boss, slowly sell the gold to local dealers over the next couple of weeks. While selling, stay in wonderful paris, enjoy the food and the beutiful prostitutes, head back home with your suit cases full of newly pressed euro bills  Cool

If only! All the money would be gone by the time I sold it. I do like this idea though
2110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest legal way of moving 50k euros from China to france on: August 15, 2015, 05:09:49 PM
Basically its my wifes parents that want to give my wife 50k towards the kids education... I wouldn't want to be at risk even slightly of the bitcoin value fluctuation. That is the main issue with using bitcoin for such a large amount
2111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cheapest legal way of moving 50k euros from China to france on: August 15, 2015, 08:35:56 AM
will ripple labs be able to do this?

2113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: August 15, 2015, 12:14:01 AM
My feelings captured succinctly in this statement to the court by one Eugene V. Debs:

"Your Honor, years ago I recognized my kinship with all living beings, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on earth. I said then, and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free."

Honestly though, I'm not selfless enough to serve a prison sentence like that for the sake of my family or anyone else. I don't know about Ross, but I've already experienced more than my fair share of suffering. Kudos to Ross if he can ride it out, but if I was him I'd find some way to kill myself rather than exist as walking dead in prison conditions. To be fair though, the thought of even one year in prison makes me feel that way, public school indoctrination alone was almost enough to drive me mad. Remember kids, there is nothing to fear in death. Only suffering is worth being afraid of.

Yours in compassion and solidarity,

World Citizen Beliathon

Public school was not that bad. But I wouldnt want to spend a day in prison let alone years let alone life. I couldn't do it. I mean he was pretty young and everyone does stupid things when they were young so this sentence is rediculous. He was just trying to make money. When you think of people starting wars filled with death it's rediculous.
This world is hell
