Anyway I deleted the peers.dat file and still same problem
Best is then to use the bootstrap from the forum and delete the content in application folder EXEPT the wallet.dat file and copy the content of the bootstrap in the application folder. Also I can't find a .conf file in the Application support in Mac.
That .conf file you need to create yourself( or if you prefer i can upload one for you) just copy the code that BigJohnson provided into a a new textfile and save it as netcoin.conf (not as .txt!) in the application folder.

Hey all,
This isn't the first time someone has posted that link onto NET's threads. As with anything in crypto, you have to decide for yourself based on whatever data/information/experience you can go on.
First: not sure why people are comparing BJ to other people. Although, BJ is a smashingly handsome guy so you know, wouldn't surprise me that folks would want to compare him to others.
Second: Leroy. This "conversation" has been going on for some time. Not sure why the above felt it necessary to repost something that was posted a while back (and we talked about), but....for sake of bringing it all back up again. - Did Stakeminer contact NET for help setting up wallets, etc, in the beginning? Did NET and the foundation at that time work with stakeminers and begin to explore projects? Yup. - Did NET help stakeminers with their wallets, and have a dicegame that was created by stakeminer (that stakeminer himself refunded folks and took down due to security breaches in the game...and he lost btc because of it)? Yup. - Is NET involved in the current stakeminers platform? Not officially, but so far NET has kept an eye on that platform and been very pleased with how it's run and progressed.
Take a look at some of the folks supporting stakeminers, and you'll see some good crypto people on there. There are some folks who are in NET who have utilized stake-miners services/platform without any issues. Actually, apart from this continued post about "leroy" we haven't heard of any issues with stakeminers. Again, not defending them (it's not our place to).
Hope that helps. Yes, we've read those posts. Yes we take things into consideration. But so far it appears that a lot of folks have used and are very satisfied with stakeminers (and he's actually delivering a service/project that he said he would).

Nice very efficient and solid staking coin here with good devs.
Quick question. I sent some NET out and now the rest of my NET are in a different address than before the send. Why is that? Is that the way change works where the change, (which was my entire balance), was sent back and the wallet just created a new address automatically to put the "change" in instead of putting it back in the old address? What's the best way we should be doing sends if we want to keep 1 address?
Yes that is how the POS work because the old block has changed coins where removed so a new block needs to be created but not sure anymore why it creates a new adress. Best way imo to keep it all in one adress is in the send coins page you have the option to enable and specify a custom change adress.

Any good mining pools on this? If the net hashrate in the client is to be believed, I should be Scrypt-mining this.

One of the leads for NET is working on a pool at the moment. It's not finalized yet, but it's looking to possibly be an invite only pool (to ensure the success of those mining. you want dedicated miners that'll deliver consistent hash...not necessarily jumping on/off all the time). Keep an ear out....we'll keep everyone posted!

I had the same issue... I was told presstabs site sometimes counts your orphan blocks and it gets fixed with a rescan to his site.
Your wallet is correct you don't have missing coins. I looked into mine and the wallet was right.

A few people have accused cryptsy of staking netcoin and dumping the staked coins. So im here to clear that up. First off our wallets do stake from time to time. We dont go out of our way to stake coins. And we generally try to prevent it. But if a wallet hasnt been unlocked for a few months. Has a lot of coinage and has to be unlocked to move coins to the hot chances are its going to hit a stake block That being said. I dont see any stake transactions in our netcoin storage wallet. Im not sure why press tabs explorer reports a stake block. There is none in our wallet. http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/NET/address.php?address=n5nZXRojBHjtyE78r8jkemNJbjs1xxMALcnetcoind listtransactions "" 100 | grep category "category" : "receive", "category" : "receive", "category" : "receive", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send", "category" : "send",
Cryptsy is not staking customers netcoins and we would not dump them on the market if we were Our hot wallet may not have staking disabled. I didnt check into that. But its current balance is less than 2 million net

Hi folks my pir calculator said that with 10 000 000 net I get 100% interest in 1 year, but I've read somewere that since august 2015 the interest would have been cut to 45%. Am I right or is it still 100% , if so it's going to be cut in the future?

Hey Guys,
Snappy here subbing in: So, we ran some calculations on the PIR change, and it appears the date of change will be later this year (not the end of this month).
Here's why:
The PIR phase (i.e. which 'year' applies) is based on the block height.
It assumes a rate of 1 block per minute for a year (365*24*60 = 525,600 blocks between rate changes) Phase 1 start block height 420,000 (when POS started) Phase 2 start block height 945,600 Phase 3 start block height 1,471,200
The year 2 changeover will be later than expected due to a few months of very...and we mean very slow blocks due to a bug in the staking diff function that has since been fixed and released (these were the updates a while back).
Some Recent block height samples (approx a week apart) that we ran a little bit ago: 09 June 2012 22:51 653,944 16 June 2013 22:31 664,116
10172 blocks in last week 1453 blocks per day average
945600 block of next PIR change
281484 blocks until PIR change 193.7 approx days until change...which means we'll be seeing/expecting a change Late December this year.
Wanted to give you all a heads up!
You need to update the front of the page bro...new people coming in may think they the stage rates have already changed...

Tripjammer: So did the rules change? Is it still 80 percent if you have 1 million NET?
- Rules / rewards have not changed. It is still currently at 80% if you hold at least 1million net (and will remain at that level through December) bitbabba: Hi folks my pir calculator said that with 10 000 000 net I get 100% interest in 1 year, but I've read somewere that since august 2015 the interest would have been cut to 45%. Am I right or is it still 100% , if so it's going to be cut in the future? The change in reward is based on when a certain block hits. When it was implemented, we extrapolated based on expected block time, and how long it would take to hit that block (originally estimated August 2015). However, the year 2 changeover will be later than expected due to a few months of slow blocks due to a bug in the staking diff function that has since been fixed and released. So, the change to 45% won't occur till December (expected). The main thread has been updated (here are the new expected changes in a visual form).

Yup. Main market is currently Cryptsy. Volume has quieted recently, but that's ok. It ebbs and flows (last months we were in the 2-5btc ranges).
