I have a question: when you got to dailybitcoins.org and you get a quote. How long does is stay valid. Can you wait until your "next" day starts to collect?

Thanks for an answer!
Quote is valid for 2 minutes. In this time you have to enter your wallet and solve CAPTCHA.

it still says come back after 19 hours.
Counting step is whole hour. Wait a little.
2122  Local / Бизнес / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Бесплатные биткоины за рекламу on: July 31, 2011, 01:49:48 PM

Alright, I uploaded a new one. Cheesy
Approved. 500 impressions counted.

I mean a tool where an admin will review the ad and give feedback as to whether it will be displayed. That way nobody needs to waste anybody else's time or money.
If your ad was rejected, you will receive email with explanation why it happened. You have to correct mistakes and after that your ad will be shown.

So I guess that's subjective.
Many things are subjective, but I don't think this about your ad. Again, I have not forfeited your funds, you have the right to change ad to something reasonable and your 500 paid impressions will be preformed.

Perhaps you should allow the customer to send you the ad so it can be screened before they pay.
There is preview tool on our website, you can view ad without payment.
2125  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: FTP server on user PCs for Bitcoins on: July 31, 2011, 12:25:32 PM
I have googled and didn't found anything about selling. It seems impossible.

In some way FTP is more convenient and universal then Wuala software (althought doesn't provide encryption, but personal data I prefer to encrypt with 7-Zip before uploading).

I did read the ToS and just reread it to be sure. Which part are you referring to?

Added timer, now you can know how much time left before you can order next payout.

cool "Come back after 19 hours!". so does this text update via ajax/javascript or do I still need to refresh the page?

Queries are sent via Ajax.

I am going to request my 0.0505 bitcoins be returned to me at this time.
Please read Terms of Service BEFORE clicking "I agree".

I understand if that isn't the kind of service you're selling, and if that's the case  I was under the impression that you were selling that space on your website moreso than you were selling the ability to promote products only under certain circumstances. If an advertiser wanted to creatively attract customers, I'll bet they would make an ad similar to mine. I know a lot of great innovative companies use unique advertising, and it gets people talking
Again, I don't discriminate any content but please agree, your ad is out of any acceptable borders. Placing these ads can have negative impact on our reputation and no advertiser want to place his ad near like yours.
Read Google AdSense ToS, you will see that my rules are super liberal.

How long does that normally take?
In our working time it takes usually up to 15 mins.

Where can I find your quality standard guidelines?
I don't restrict anything, even accepted poker ad for U.S. players. But agree your ad is not satisfactory from any point of view.

Your ad does not meets quality standards to be posted on our website. We will never pollute website with bullshit, reputation is important for my business. You have right to edit ad and place something appropriate.

How many confirmations(blocks) do you require before the ad is live and on the front page?
I enable ad immediately after receiving payment and don't wait any confirmations. In case of fraud I can remove ad and place advertiser on shame board, I think nobody want this and tries to cheat.
2133  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: July 31, 2011, 10:35:23 AM
I'm waiting for my bitcoins. How long does send coins?
Between 1pm and 3am UTC+3 about few hours, else on next day.

How long after payment do the ads go live?
You pay for number of impressions or number of clicks, not time. Your ad will be shown if you have remaining at least one impression or click.
2134  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: FTP server on user PCs for Bitcoins on: July 31, 2011, 12:51:17 AM
You can trade storage (or buy, using bitcoins Wink - and it's client side encrypted.
I can't found how to SELL your free space for money in Wuala, it seems impossible.
2135  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: FTP server on user PCs for Bitcoins on: July 30, 2011, 11:07:48 PM
So something like a distributed CDN?
Cloud storage, where each PC can provide service like DropBox and receive payments in Bitcoins.
2136  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: July 30, 2011, 10:33:04 PM
So basically, I would ideally check the site a couple of times every day (with time in between?)

Or is reloading the site several times every minute (manually, looking at the page and ads mind you) good as well?

I am just trying to find out what kind of behaviour you are encouraging!
You can check as much ofter as you want, but after exceeding some number of refreshes per hour you would need to solve CAPTCHA to get prize qoute. It is to protect against bots, which can destroy entire idea of my start-up.
2137  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: July 30, 2011, 09:19:31 PM
Thanks for your reply!

I am thinking though, you say I should visit the site often to get better results, but after I have redeemed my daily BTC, what else is there to do on the site for me that day?
Today enjoy generous prize you have received, but tomorrow again visit website few times a day catching the best bounty available.

It is unique idea of my startup to motivate users stay at the site for a long time, catching best bounty (or receive booby prize which is always available and lose opportunity to get more today). If I would give away whole bitcoins to anyone in unlimited quantities, ads would never cover expenses.
2138  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / FTP server on user PCs for Bitcoins on: July 30, 2011, 08:49:10 PM
I have an idea to create new software product: FTP service on user's PC for Bitcoins.

Many of us have ample hard drives and broadband Internet connection with unlimited bandwidth. I propose to create web-fronted for FTP-server (e.g. FileZilla Server) that allows other users to buy space on your HDD and store files using convenient FTP protocol. If you keep computer on for 24h and have normal connection speed I think many people would like to pay you small amount in bitcoins instead of buying expensive and non-anonymous service like DropBox. For example I am ready to sell 300 Gb right now and would buy extra HDD if there will be enough demand.

Is idea worth?
2139  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Dailybitcoins.org] Bitcoin faucet, sponsored by ads on: July 30, 2011, 08:16:11 PM
Only gave me 0.0005 BTC now, that is not a whole lot hehe
Regularly visit our website and you certainly will catch better bounty. Today I have given away few prizes worth of 0.01 BTC. When service will grow and I have enough advertisers I will give away prizes worth of whole BTC.

Hope more advertisers will use it.
Help finding them and you will receive 10% from ad price. See our referral program.
And I don't want to pollute my website with non-bitcoin ads.
