2141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Failed in trade it's not joke. on: August 11, 2022, 03:17:28 PM
but its better not quit since the long term trading can be helpful and with just stable coin pairs they can make decent returns with minimal risk from my knowledge.
But at some point it's good to take a break off trading if you observe your strategy is not producing results anymore, to learn and advance on your trading skill instead of struggling with a old strategy that never works, because as time goes by so is the market pattern changing with respect to several factors, which could include government policies, the world economy and e.t.c.
Because one of the qualities of a good trader is the ability to take calculative risk and ever ready to learn new concept
Long term trading is more or like an off from the trading activities, you just buy and wait till 20 or 30% or whatever your desired returns which maybe attained in weeks or may take years so the strategy is simple wait until you make money so there is no frustration, stress and all the others comes with the failed trades can be avoided.
2142  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did china all ready apoligized about covid 19 ?also did china pay? on: August 11, 2022, 12:28:13 PM
Even if the virus originated from China still the country doesn't owe any money to any countries because that is how it has been for all other pandemic diseases for example HIV, so no country is paying USA for covid and even the current President is not having interest in what Trump wanted to do.

I think the reason people are asking China to pay up was they kept their mouth shut, they were as secretive with Covid as they were with SARS coz of all the losing face stuff. By the time they shutdown transportation, the virus has already spread. And it also was telling that even when they did this, it was for local only at the beginning, they kept international flights open. That's what I remember from it, there were vids of people trying to get out of the cities before the buses and trains were prevented from operating.
We can also see lots of information about China, they intentionnally created the virus and let it spread all around the world but we can't prove it unless we do complete research about the bio lab near the market where the COVID-19 actually originated but in reality the government will not all it just like any other big countries.

Level 1 KYC procedure is not a big deal after all if we look at the situation in easy ways but for other who doesn't understand or skeptical about this because they are worried, maybe this kind of issuance still not good at them that's why they need to slowly accept the fact that this feature will come mandatory to them on any platform because they are dealing with money. So for now its good to practice and give a trust especially if the casino is performing so well and been trusted by many people.
It's just funny to see many people are very skeptical about the level 1 KYC while they're already give that information since Binance forcing all their customers to submit the basic KYC lol. I don't think users in this forum didn't using Binance as their centralized exchanges since Binance is very popular and very known. After all you're trusting your KYC with Binance, how it's different if you submit your KYC to trustworthy casino?
First of all not every trader has to be a gambler or vice versa so they don't know what is actually happening in one sector while they never crossed from their sectors. For example who has cryptocurrencies a lot and used to gamble only not using any exchange then they maybe surprised by sudden implementation of KYC because there is no such thing in the previous days they were playing.
If it can be, what happens is that the community of players is something else, but I know that there are many casino players who do not speculate in the market, they only care about having money, in this case coins to be able to play and try. Winning is something like when you enter a physical casino and exchange real money for chips or local currencies from the same casino, in the event that many players have some knowledge, some prefer decentralized exchanges, but you have to see what type of player and trader is, or what type of player-player or can be the case of trader-investor.

I think that a casino like Rootet encompasses all that, maybe the KYC is annoying, but in some cases it is necessary.
KYC implementation is forced to all the cryptocurrency related service providers in the name of regulations so we can't blame the service provider when the government make such laws and in the next few years we will see mandatory KYC for all the centralized crypto services either its an exchange or casino or anything.

2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business if every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: August 10, 2022, 04:46:41 AM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet. You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.
Imagine cryptocurrencies took over the complete monetary system of this world then still these exchanges will exist because for people to make crypto to crypto conversion in the p2p level is not really convenient when it comes to large funds involved so exchanges will keep making money but the one thing is exchanges are for trading one to another not really meant for the storage purpose even if you are going to take an off from trading activities then it is really important to move the funds stored in exchanges to your actual wallet.

Donald trump said covid 19 was from china and trump said china needs to pay and apoligize did china done that?
At least did china payed to usa for cousing chaos in the world with covid trump did investigation and he analyzed covid origin so he decided that china is quilty did china payed the bill to trump or will he do it ?any time soon?

2147  Economy / Economics / Re: Do cash control spending more than digital or crypto currency? on: August 09, 2022, 10:52:18 AM
A recent research by the Britsh Post Office unveiled that 71% of Brits planning on going on vacation in the UK this year intends to take out cash before leaving. There have been high increase in cash deposit and withdrawals in Britain. People are going back to cash because they believe that it keeps tighter control on their spending as living costs soar.

It is believed that cash helps people budget, as using it means you literally can count the pennies. Paying with a card or crypto currency make spending easy and convenient that sometimes one tends to overspend. Sometimes one might not even know the balance of his account but with cash you are always aware of how much you have.

What do you think?

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-62437819
I don't know how much billions were transferred in this way but its not going back still people prefer the cards so counting paper money can help us to save money is just a myth or for people who is more weaker. But the good thing is they start realizing it so in future either its stored in any form they will be aware of savings.
2148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 07, 2022, 05:07:04 PM
Sorry to ask, but is this other place (I assume it's a casino) licensed!? Because as far as I know any regulated and licensed business has to declare and report transactions above a certain threshold (depending on the license provider and the county where the casino operates).
The good thing about Roobet, though, is that they ask for kyc (level-1) from the moment you create an account and don't wait till you make a withdrawal request as many other casinos do.
This isn't true. There are many anonymous crypto casinos out there that don't require KYC at any point of time and I can attest to that thanks to my experience with some of them over the years.

Some of these sites never ask for KYC even if you won a million bucks(Unless you cheated) while some others force customers to provide KYC in order to retrieve their winnings.
I agree. They casinos will require you to pass some KYC documents when you cheated, or if your transactions on the casino including the deposits, withdrawal, and any bets are heavily suspicious. I do not know exactly how can the track it but I believe they have the tools that are needed for that matter.
Some casino even not regulated forced you to pass a KYC in order for you to be able to withdraw.
Apart from the regulations every casino has their own terms and conditions on that most of the casinos mention about the KYC requirements if its required by the casino for any reason and who can't able to pass may not be able to withdraw their funds the reason of such actions can be anything but what they claim is for AML and we also agreed to their terms so we have to pass KYC at any time even if there is no mandatory KYC.
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe ? on: August 07, 2022, 03:45:15 PM
I actually wanna do p2p trading on binance . I wanna know how much it's safe . And is there any better option from P2P trading?
Doing P2P on binance or LBC is safer compared to the completely decentralized exchange when it comes to the source of funds but there is no 100% security anywhere, even if the person completed KYC still the source can be from someone else's account and it could be from not knowing their knowledge and it can continue for months and years with no problem but when banks found then your account and fiat stored in there are at complete risk of getting frozen almost forever.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 07, 2022, 12:43:03 PM
Banks cannot stop the usage of bitcoin, they stopped their services to exchange so users can't be able to convert their fiat to cryptocurrency and vice versa, it happened in many countries
Yeah, a similar thing happened in my country too, there is currently a ban by the CBN that banks should not process or facilitate transactions that are related to cryptocurrency, direct from crypto exchanges. Having said that, since that very ban here, nothing much has changed, it hasn't reduced or affected the number of people that use crypto. We can't compel the banks to act in our favor cause we are crypto enthusiasts, good thing is we already know they can come up with changes like this spontaneously, but there will be alternatives, and nothing much will change in Portugal as a result of this.
You're right though still there are alternatives for the people who wants to trade their cryptocurrency for fiat but this ban is mostly for stopping the new people from entering into the market so as a crypto community and also the exchanges should fight for it if the banks starts to ban such restrictions when there is no such ban from the government side.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 07, 2022, 09:59:31 AM
Banks cannot stop the usage of bitcoin, they stopped their services to exchange so users can't be able to convert their fiat to cryptocurrency and vice versa, it happened in many countries then if exchanges fight for it then such attrocities from banks can also be reverted in certain cases. Banks trying to supress the cryptocurrency but at some point it will turn against them.
2152  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What exactly do certain conservative group/people gain by "controlling women"? on: August 06, 2022, 07:59:29 PM
That is how we used to be, we are not going to accept someone to surpass us in terms of anything. Basically this society is dominated by male in any corner since the human existence so they are not comfortable with equal power that is why basically they are trying to prove they are wrong by something.
2153  Other / Off-topic / Re: My View on Brand-Newbies to Legendary Members in the Forum on: August 06, 2022, 02:27:25 AM
Don't judge someone's knowledge of bitcoin and bitcointalk from their ranks because there are lot of exceptions to explain the ranks is not actually determine everything, just go to the technical board where you see low ranked members who have more knowledge about how bitcoin things works than some random legendary posting in bounties or altcoin board.

Exactly mate we can not judge the book by its cover and also here in this forum we can not say that all high ranks are knowledgeable enough but as we saw there are many Hero members or even Legendary Members who still spamming or let's say shitposters. And not all newbies are literally newbies,  many newbies have already experienced about bitcoin and have more knowledge and as we saw here in forum there are many newbies who contributed and make useful topics and replies.

Even myself not really great with the technical knowledge about cryptocurrencies even though I have been here for more than 4 years, if there is no merit system is in practice then probably I will be having legendary member rank under my name but I know that I don't deserve it actually so as I said the ranks can't be considered here, it's all about the content that someone is conveying to the community.
2154  Other / Meta / Re: How important are you on this forum? on: August 05, 2022, 05:20:47 PM
If I am not wrong theymos mentioned multiple times that he replied to most of the PM sent by the newbies so obviously he will reply to anyone is there something to reply for. But I am not a special person here so even if I am not existing here anymore then nobody cares so basically I learn from here and it helped me a lot to increase my knowledge about money.
2155  Economy / Economics / Re: Nations should impose special taxes on oil firms: UN Secretary General on: August 05, 2022, 03:42:41 PM
Sudden change in the tax policy simply because few companies managed to earn more than their previous year is fair? And do you think increasing the tax for the four companies will be benefitable for the other people who is in need? If that much fund needed in reality then why not reduce the fund allocation for their defense an give a small percentage to the people who is in need! Roll Eyes
2156  Economy / Economics / Re: Crude Oil drops below $100 on: August 05, 2022, 06:27:34 AM
I didn't see any considerable amount of drop in the price of fuel in my country and I don't think it will happen as well in most of the countries, apart from the inflation these government may take advantage of the drop in crude oil price by increasing the taxes to the same level so they can generate more tax revenue which maybe helpful to solve existing economy related issues.
2157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you safely keep your recovery phrase written on paper? on: August 05, 2022, 04:07:38 AM
I still used to keep them in the offline digital storage, I know it's not highly secured but keeping the written seeds on a paper seems to hard for me to keep it by myself, yes I have the back-up written but not in my room its just kept somewhere safely which I don't access too often so let's say a bank locker for example.
2158  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Needs Signal and Analytical Sections on: August 03, 2022, 03:51:56 PM
Its no need, if you want to create a thread then you can maintain self moderated thread and keep it updated with the signals and there are some rare threads of such kind exists as well. But what you are expecting from separate board for trading signals? People will provide the trading signals for free so others can make money?
2159  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: August 03, 2022, 03:14:26 PM

Yes, you're right with that statement, I don't know if you remember a thread made by a well-known member in the forum who was in a new casino, who didn't have a thread Ann here in the forum, but he played and was going to make a withdrawal and they started telling him no for very dumb reasons, and then that user said that he was a Legendary member of Bitcointalk and that he was going to make a thread on gambling just to advise everyone not to go into his site and mark it as untrustworthy, after This, they allowed him to withdraw, it really shows that the forum has a lot of power over the casinos, sports betting, it is because of the high level there is.

I guess, me too remember that case don't know exactly what casino but it really happened so if a casino is legit and don't even have representative here on bitcointalk still they care about the discussion going on here because they know it will affect their business a lot if they were marked as shady website also many reputed reviewing site also give attention to the experience of bitcointalk users about casino.
2160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX SMS Services for 2fa are down ? on: August 02, 2022, 05:27:43 PM
However, I hope that for a sim swap to happen, the hacker must be living in the same country as mine. I don't think anyone is capable of doing that here  Wink

Care to elaborate why do you think it won't happen in your country? some sort of rigorous process for sim porting? For one, there were already cases of telecom employees accepting blood money from scammers as a side job so even that wouldn't stop sim hijacking. Not to mention, you could always meet a sloppy employee.

In addition, there are services providing access to numbers from various countries (lookup: sms verification/sim rental services). I imagine scammers could use something 'similar' hence, it's not necessary for them to be in the same country as you.
It differs from country to country, in some countries there is no need for any documentation just providing any ID's photocopy is enough to get a new sim with an existing number and you know we don't even have to visit the telecom offices all we need is just pay in a random shop and get it done all these in less than 30 minutes but also there have been countries where getting the sim is highly difficult there are lot of process so it depends.

But anyway using SMS 2fa is not much secured way so better go for the authenticator apps like authy.
