1221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I lost my btc after chipmixer was taken over on: April 25, 2023, 03:21:35 PM
I used chipmixer in March. I thought the private key he gave me would be deleted, but it turned out that it was not deleted. On March 16, my btc was transferred by the police. I didn't commit a crime, it's just for privacy, so is there any way to recover my btc Embarrassed Embarrassed
You kept the Bitcoin in the address they gave you because of their reputation but this is another lesson for you no matter how reputed the platform is, we should not trust then completely the moment you received the coins it should be moved to a new address so you can ensure that funds are secure no matter what happens.

As everyone said you can do anything other than reporting it to the authorities who confiscated the funds and maybe after the investigation ends they might return the funds to users who didn't do any violation using the mixing service.
1222  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 25, 2023, 02:27:41 PM
To the best of my knowledge all the cases I have seen related to account buying will lead to the negative tag for the account and if possible the buyer and seller account as well because mostly it will be a hacked account.

Well, I am glad that you asked to community about buying a legitimate account which is created by someone and may sell it for financial need or something but at the end it will be transparent so we know that account changed hands without doing work on our side.

BTW am very curious to read all opinions given from our fellas.
1223  Other / Meta / Re: What is the advantage of Wearing signature avatar on your BTT profile? on: April 25, 2023, 12:23:13 PM
As said simply money is the reason whether it comes from signature campaign or advertising your own service/products in the signature space which is eventually done with the intention of making money but there are exceptions some people like to spread awareness about Bitcoin, blockchain, scams and many other things.
The more you stayed here and explore the more you feel liable your every posts and for being a member here, that is the reason why I think wearing a signature on their profile means you are responsible enough to be given the task of spreading awareness. The way I see things here, it is not only you are qualified since you are chosen by the campaign managers but they are thinking "this guys will be responsible for his actions and would be an asset for spreading this name on each corner on this forum not a liability".
Ofcourse which is true to some extent that is why signature campaign still exists and brings the results for the money the company is spending whereas what is the actual benefit on our side its simply the money. I do agree that we can explore more if wr post more but there is no necessary that we should wear signature for making it happen so I just expressed what crossed in my mind not to offend anyone.
1224  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 23, 2023, 05:39:02 PM
Big companies doesn't mean they are in profits all the time they also have to face rough phases and along with more competitors they might consider using that money on something instead of usual spending this could be the reason in my opinion.

About the money laundering issue I have no idea at all which may hit the crypto casino if something goes wrong cause most of the gambling site uses their license but it will not be the end no matter what.
1225  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.AG SCAM!!! -1000$ on: April 23, 2023, 04:01:49 PM
As mentioned above post about this in the scam accusation board.

But I wonder, are you sure that you deposited to the actual legitimate site? Because these things normally happens when someone deposit money to fake/clone site and I am saying things because usually the site will ask for documentation at the time of withdrawal but you said they asked immediately after you deposited that's why I want to make sure that its legitimate or clone site.
1226  Other / Meta / Re: locked thread for no reason on: April 22, 2023, 04:14:38 PM
Is it possible to get an answer from mods here?
Cause I had few more questions to those who answered and now Im unable to ask them :c

You can only get the actual reason from the mods who handled that thread it can be one of the global mod or mod assigned for that specific board and the reason can be differ from one to another.

All others can say possible reasons and myself feel that you are trying to inject a gambling site to the community along with few legitimate questions which creates the red flag that is this thread created for shilling the site?
1227  Economy / Economics / Re: Why America Can Be The Biggest Economy In The World? on: April 22, 2023, 09:46:58 AM
Do we have such stats of very recent time?

Because I read or saw somewhere that China is having highest GDP but don't know the accuracy of such but anyway China is actually becoming the next America which is visible and possibly happen in a decade itself. Look at the growth of China and America then you know which country is going to be the next big thing.
1228  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 22, 2023, 07:43:32 AM
i am studying in college, i was really excited to get my first credit card Wink. i thought it will give me a sense of independence and allow me to buy things i could not afford with cash.

though, i quickly learned that credit cards can be a double edged sword. while they can be helpful in building credit, they can also lead to debt and financial trouble if not used responsibly.

at first, i used my credit card reasonably, only for like emergencies or small purchases that i knew i could pay off in full each month. but as time went on, i began using it more and more for larger purchases and impulse buys, without really thinking about how i would pay the balance off.

before i knew it, my credit card balance had  blown up to several thousand dollars, and i was struggling to make the minimum payments each month. the interest charges alone were eating up a significant portion of my income, and i felt like i was going under debt.

it was not until i sat down and made a budget that i realized just how much my credit card debt was affecting my overall financial health. i had to make some tough choices and cut back on some of my expenses , but finally,
i was able to pay off the balance and get back on track.

the lesson that i learned here is that credit cards can be a valuable tool for building credit points/scores and making purchases, but they should be used responsibly and with caution. it is important to keep track of your spending(like keeping a journal), pay off the balance in full, each month if possible, and avoid carrying a balance that will increase interest over time. by being mindful of your credit card usage, you can avoid debt and maintain your financial health.

i am weak at economy, is it wise decision to use credit card?
You should not use credit card unless you have the money which you're going to spend in your bank account in worst case you know the sources of income will get you that amount before the due date.

If someone use credit card in this way then it's good for them because it will help you to build your credit line so get loans for less interest rate for example while doing business, etc and also enjoy the free perks comes along with credit card for example free lounge at airports, free hotel stay, etc.
1229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Technical aspects of Bitcoin that hard or just for the talented. on: April 21, 2023, 05:56:08 PM
First of all its not important for everyone to understand the technical aspects of blockchain, mining nodes, etc but also investing your money with zero knowledge about the technology is also a wrong way so it depends on what we are capable of.

Personally myself not really that much techy who can write intensive codes to create a tool on my own, I know some basics but my field is entirely different in my bachelor's degree so I didn't get that much but if I want to attain that state I can spend few months and become one for sure because I am capable. So if you really want to know the technical aspects the start learning and keep learning until you get it.

1231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much you have earned through crypto referral on: April 21, 2023, 01:29:19 PM
Referral marketing won't work for most of the people and I am not an exception to that, probably made few bucks from casino referral without my knowledge but one who has high influential skill can make more profit so it will work for celeb or someone who has fanbase and will blindly follow what you say like how Andrew became millionaire but he consider himself as triollionare already. Grin
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your tips and tricks to orange pill your family and friends on: April 20, 2023, 07:42:25 PM
Actually I don't want them to, you may call myself selfish which is true somehow but the main reason is I don't want to mix up finance with relationship because it mostly will end up in bad situation so just let them what they do and if tou feel they are doing something wrong then you can give your suggestions about how to succeed from it but its their choice to decide what to do and we can't analyse or force someone to invest in something what we are interested.
That is not a bad reflection on life though, I would agree with that. If you put finance and relations together, the relations would get damaged when finances are damaged. If you take money from your friends, even if they begged you to do it, then when you put it in bitcoin you will end up being upset that you lost money, even if they say nothing it will feel bad.

I did it for a family member, they wanted to put a small amount, an amount I could just give them even if all of it was gone, but when they lost it I felt terrible, they are back to profit again thankfully but it was a terrible feeling. So all in all, I understand your point of view, and that should not be an issue for you at all, it should be totally understood at this moment.
I am not really into convincing someone to invest their money into bitcoin because the mindset of everyone differs so only we know what will suit for us and same applies to everyone. But in terms of giving crypto assets to family member or our loved ones then I don't hesitate because here I am the one who is going to take the burden if the value drops but they are in fortune when it performs well and I don't have any doubt about the potential of bitcoin and its future but I just kept into very closed circle especially with the family.
1233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Bitcoins vanished in one day when we woke up? on: April 20, 2023, 04:18:43 PM
To eradicate the bitcoin's blockchain network the governments have to shut down the internet all around the world or have to destroy each and every operating node which is practically impossible to happen so the direct and actual answer to your question is NO.

But your wallet may be drained overnight and the balance will be zero when you wake up which may happen to anyone if their device is infected or they gave their private keys unintentionally to someone, etc.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your tips and tricks to orange pill your family and friends on: April 20, 2023, 09:56:38 AM
I guess that many of you have already tried to orange pill family or friends. Personally, I've totally given up on the idea.

Some people have asked me to invest a few hundred euros for them, in which case I would have to be their banker... They don't even want to know how to install a wallet or even buy a hardware wallet. In short, I refuse to be a banker.

And you, have you also given up? Or are you persevering with unstoppable tricks?

Actually I don't want them to, you may call myself selfish which is true somehow but the main reason is I don't want to mix up finance with relationship because it mostly will end up in bad situation so just let them what they do and if tou feel they are doing something wrong then you can give your suggestions about how to succeed from it but its their choice to decide what to do and we can't analyse or force someone to invest in something what we are interested.
1235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin to cash with simple steps. on: April 20, 2023, 07:26:53 AM
The simple step is just sell your Bitcoin for fiat that's it and you can use any platform which suits your criteria for example if you never want your bank to know where that money came from then use decentralized exchange/p2p but it only works with small amounts cause over certain limits you will be under the radar if income tax and blah and when you file tax compliance then you will stuck if a big stash has no actual proof where it came from so you will he either paid the highest tax slab for that money or in worst case it can be seized until you provide the proof of its source.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are a joke. on: April 19, 2023, 06:44:01 PM
So I have to pay $9 ETH to transfer 70 USDT I just received, out of my wallet? And worse, transferring any amount of ETH will set you back $3 in gas fees.

I've just converted most of my ETH to BTC, and have $0.5 left in metamask. It claims to have an "advanced gas control" when you hit Send, but it's not showing me that.

Is there a way for me to lower the gas fees from metamask, or otherwise import the wallet into some other software?

There's a small edit button that people often miss when you send eth.

( Pic source is a screenshot crop from some youtube instructions so don't let the price fool you. )

After that comes a window with all kinds of settings. You can set your gas limit manually or choose from advanced options or just click from 3 send choices: Low, Medium And High priority. If you don't know what you are talking about it might be better to choose from those 3 options.

I admit that edit button is too tiny and i didn't click that before either.

Possibly this is the solution but I haven't used metamask for long time and even when I use I generally use the high priority because I don't like to wait too long which makes me frustrated. Anyhow even with ETH2.0 the problem still exists which is kind of worry for the future of ethereum because the alternatives are offering lower transaction time and fee but decentralisation is the only difference if I am not wrong.
1237  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 19, 2023, 04:30:39 PM
It can work in both ways depends on what is our strategy to pay it back with the money we borrow but practically someone can't take a loan when they are already in debt cause there credit line will show the instructions about pay back power of a person so they can only get it from someone they know which is hard to get as well nowadays.

Change your spending life style, don't trap into the lifestyle inflation that is where most middle class working people get trapped.
1238  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 19, 2023, 03:28:09 PM
Honestly the best tool is yet to be found since we are at the beginning of AI so the existing tools are somehow inaccurate especially when the spammers use to spin the AI generated post. Also read that next version of open AI launched already which is more capable of its previous version so the creative industry is going to stumble due to this AI evolution.

Now let's talk about AI posts on bitcointalk the only possible way is when we think that someone is using AI tool for making post then we should use AI detectors also seek community help for further discussion.
1239  Other / Meta / Re: Clarification on Plagiarism Rule and Policy on: April 19, 2023, 10:33:19 AM
To help clarify this important issue, I would like to start a discussion about the plagiarism rule and policy on bitcointalk.org. Specifically, I would like to address the following questions:

What qualifies as plagiarism on the forum?
What are the consequences for violating the plagiarism rule?
How can users ensure that their posts are original and do not violate the plagiarism rule?
Are there any exceptions or nuances to the plagiarism rule that users should be aware of?

1. Copying an article of someone and post it as yours is generally people tend to follow on bitcointalk
2. Permanent ban.
3. Don't copy anything from internet to post it here, you can take reference before posting but don't take credits for someone else content.
4. Pictures that seems the possible exception to my knowledge.

P.S if you really want to post an article which you think it maybe useful for others then simply copy the post and use
Code:
[quote url=(copy the original link) (copy and paste the article that you want to post) [/quote]
1240  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 18, 2023, 03:24:11 PM
Can you make bets on horses that are AI vs making bets on real horses? I see a new gambling project that focuses on horse racing only and I am surprised that those horses are not real live horses, I went deep doing research and it kinda looks like players will be the ones fine-tuning their horses 🐎 for better performance and go ahead to head with other players.

Do you think that gambling have a place with the metaverse in the future? I had a dream about being able to gamble online with people that aren't living close to me, we meet in the metaverse and it looks real, I know that sometimes when you think positively about something it is possible to dream about it.

It's more of a gaming than we say it as gambling because it involves skills of the players so I think it's some kind of eSports activity. Metaverse is a technology which is still being developed and with the evolution of AI its not that far to achieve and there is no doubt that it will give us the better experience compared to online gaming/gambling.
