Probably, because they came back to the team couple of days before the world cup. I can't remember if there was any test matches before world cup. I'm sure Warner and Smith come straight back in but not sure about Cameron Bancroft as they might want Finch to open with Warner. It will be interesting to see which team the selectors pick for the first test match.
Not sure if Finch will play or not but Khawaja would be the preferable player for opening. Finch is more a ODI player than test. |

Countries like Ireland, Zimbabwe can't olay much test cricket, not even ODI. High rank team has more matches despite low teams. This is one of the reason, a low team can't gain enough experience. I don't think it will be easy for them to fight against a bigger team who play 5-6 times or more than lower. They have better chance to.win against a lower team.
They can invite top ranked team, although most team will not play. I guess that's not good of ICC, they must allow each teams to play at least 5-10 tests in a year, it would help them improve. |

It's not their or others issue. If you don't like TA, why you bother to check them. TA is a good indicator of having an idea of movement. TA has a lot of tools, learn these if you don't want to see the complicated waves.

Ireland really threw the game away after playing so well on day 1 and even restricting England to under a 200 run lead was a good performance but they couldn't go on with the job which is to be expected from a new test cricket team just starting out. Appreciate it bud. Back to the Test match, England has 181 runs lead and they still have 1 wicket remaining. Tomorrow morning if they do not add anymore run still I think they will win this test. My expectation was to give Irish 150ish runs target but here we already have 181. Who would have thought that a Test between Ireland and England will be that close :-P 200 must be achievable for IRELAND. It's 3rd day only and pitch is still in good mode. But, yesterday's rain main affect sognificantly. England has changed their game plan totally after they were packed with 85 runs. Following DCA method strongly has benefits, you will feel nothing to panic. You can have the lowest average purchase price per unit. Something unpredictable just happened in the cricket. A world champion few days back has got all out in the 1st inning within 1st session itself and that too from the Ireland who did not even qualify for the World Cup. Well this is something unexpected and what a game of cricket it has being from Ireland.
True but you must have to count the fact that both are two different formats of cricket. For ODI, their batting line-up definitely the best one at the moment but for a test match, I guess it's not enough. Anyway, 85 is an accident though. They will recover in the upcoming innings. |

Some times a team may have bad day like England had yesterday and they were all out for 85. But i do not think they will repeat the same performance today in their 2nd innings. Ireland have to get them cheaply out, if they want to win this test match. England can still pull out this test if they manage to give 250+ target to Ireland.
The 2nd day is yet to be started. I guess Ireland has a big chance even if England can score a big one. Ireland, at the moment, is leading by 122 runs which is pretty good standing. If they can manage to restrict England in 350 runs in 2nd innings of England, I believe the chase will not be hard for Ireland. |

How? You think Jason Roy debute can be considered as opportunity to young? I don't count it as weakness of England. Only the Olly Stone is a total noob who is not a batsman even. The west Indian team does not lack good players. West Indies team has been mismanaged for some years now. But they still can turn the game any side with their individual performances. T20 is a format less predictable than others and a single player can make a difference. So we need to wait and watch how the things turns.
