2141  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: April 15, 2023, 09:55:28 AM
According to the information from Forbes.com Norway holds the highest percentage of government employees. This data is taken during the year 2015. Almost eight years passed and there might be small variation. Even in the highest level it is possible to see around 70% work force is on the private sector. This is more than enough to realise that people were able to move forward as well as survive without government jobs. When it comes to government job there is less risk of losing jobs which is why most people prefer government jobs.

Well, not most people, as we see from the chart in your post. Most people don't work directly for the government, and, like the OP here, they don't want to be dependent on the government's ability to provide them with job. They start businesses of their own and provide other people with job, and that's a great thing in my opinion. I just want to emphasize that that doesn't give us the right to say "We can do well without government". We can't, and I explained why in in this post of mine above.

How about we give away another Sportsbet.io merch bundle  Cool

The winner(s) of the Round 31 Yellow Cap will also win:
Choice of Arsenal or Southampton Shirt AND Sportsbet.io Hoodie + Hat combo

It is amazing to see that I still have one more chance to be able to win the black Arsenal jersey. My position in the Premier League pool this season isn't bad at all. But I couldn't win any yellow cap. I hope I can win my first yellow cap on this very special week.

By the way which one is the Arsenal jersey you liked the most?

If you mean the design, all them are great, in my opinion. But I want to talk about the quality. I won couple of them official football jerseys in the past Sportsbet.io promos,

and I use them for jogging and working out, and I gotta a tell you, it's something, guys. They are made from polyester, but it turns out there are different types of polyester. You can buy a regular polyester t-shirt for $5-$10, but these ones are a little bit more expensive. They go from $50 to $100 USD, but if you wear it you know where the money went.

2146  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: April 12, 2023, 09:28:43 AM
~ The dilemma you are facing is not an easy one, and almost every person on the planet faces it. Almost all of us have relatives of some sort. There are few solutions here: either lend money to your unreliable cousin, forever forgetting about this money (because he will never give it back) and then you will maintain your family ties (but is this so, because you will no longer treat your cousin as before); or - don't give him anything, as you did and ruin your relationship with him. As you can see, in both cases, there will always be someone dissatisfied with this state of affairs.
~

Exactly. If you think of it, your family bond will, very likely, be damaged anyway, whether you lend the money or not. But that's when the amount is significant for you. If it's not, you can forget about it and treat your relative the same as before. It's all about the amount actually.
2147  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 12, 2023, 08:44:07 AM
The contest is done regularly and is proven to deliver the price so it is not a surprised that it attracts a lot more participants.  I even share the contest to my friends who are not a member of this forum.  They got interested but I wonder if they will be able to submit their work  Cheesy.
You can submit on your friends behalf as you have account on forum but you also need to have Roobet account to mention your username on the casino as funds are transferred to your casino account. You can mention that you have submitted artwork on their behalf or they can register on forum as there is no restriction for newbies I think.

Isn't that one person submit one entry ?

Yeah he can send on his friend behalf but then if he wants to participate himself in the artwork then he may not be able to do so  Huh
Secondly he told that he will tell his friends, which mean more than one friend, so he can incorporate all the entries ?

Better to ask his friends to make an account on bitcointalk and submit their entries and this may be helpful in future contests also.

You can compete in two different categories, so, technically, you can ask two of your friends to try to make something for this competition.  But is not that easy as it seems, I must tell you. I know several people who are good at drawing, and all of them were saying the same thing: you have to spend a lot of time to make something re presentable, and since the award is not guaranteed, they don't want to risk. This makes the good submissions to the Art contest even more valuable. There are really some great works in the thread. Kudos to you guys!
2148  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do we go from here on: April 12, 2023, 07:49:04 AM
Nah i think that will never happen it just some terminator thing. AI is just a tool that help us to solve problem it will never threat us human. The only threat is human it self, we dont know how people use technology in a good way or bad way.

Makes sense, but how can you be sure? Do you know how it is trained, and what part humans play in that training? Because people who know express their concerns. And if you don't believe them maybe you know better? I'm not joking right now, I'm serious. Maybe you read something pretty convincing regarding "AI will never threat us human"? Give us a link.

will it happen like that? or whether their estimates were correct.
if that's the case then there won't be any more AI developments in the future if indeed their prediction will come true.
considering it's the same as what happened in the movie it would be terrible if it happened

Right now we, all the countries in the world, can't unite to be developing AI together. If one country halts the development, another may continue. And there's a good probability that it will continue.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 11, 2023, 04:22:09 PM
I don't want to bet in any elections because of the surveys being handled by survey agencies, these survey agencies are good at predicting the right winner and even the percentages of the leads.
I can cite one example and it's my country where it accurately predicted the result for the past 30 years, and even in America, survey companies are good at predicting the outcome so it's no use making bet on predictions.
We can do our betting right after the announcement of the party's representative but it's useless during the campaign, especially now that everything is automated.

It would be quite risky to bet on the 2024 US election because we know that Trump and Biden both have forces and supporters who can change US political conditions and make this election more difficult to predict. Moreover, the US is known for its often manipulative campaigns and bribery which makes it not worth it to bet on this election.

To whom exactly is this "known", mate? Looks like some communist propaganda to me. Elections maybe still manipulated in some underdeveloped countries, but not in the countries of the level of the US.

Besides, we are talking about betting not on whether the elections will be manipulated or not, we are talking about betting on Rep and Dem nominees, and on who will be the next president.
2150  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: April 11, 2023, 03:46:04 PM
~
if you look at the statistics of the 4 year cycle of course 2025 will be a bullish year where the price of bitcoin will increase also including the FUN token , I invest at the current price buy little by little and hold it in a freebitcoin account at the same time to become a premium membership get more WOF while investing for 1 or 2 years from now, I'm sure this will be an interesting investment

It is already interesting, same as may other things we are doing in life. Just don't invest more than you can afford to lose, and don't borrow money for making investment. There's no guarantee that FUN token will rise in price in the future, so we should be ready for the worst case scenario. But if we want to have fun with our spare money, it is our personal business and no one can stop us from hoping for the best.
2151  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: April 11, 2023, 03:05:33 PM
I'm not in a position to share my story right now, but many of us go through a lot before reaching financial independence.
Although there are some elders who took advantage of us by pretending they were training us to be good while they were using what belongs to us, these incidents happened when I lost my parent and I was still a young child. I don't really have any hand work like some skills doing that was what affected my life early.

But I must give thanks to God and thank Satoshi for introducing bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to the world. Since I joined the bitcoin industry two years ago, everything has been going well for me.

It's good to hear that Bitcoin helped you to achieve financial freedom. I can't imagine how many people are there like you, but I'm confident there are many thousands of them.

As for some elders taking advantage of the young people, it's always like that, unfortunately it's not a rare case. Right now many people are in the situation similar yours in the past. What's important is to not die or end up in jail during those years, and then all the hell you are going through will turn into a valuable life experience, and this knowledge will be helping you not only on the way to achieving financial freedom, but in many other things too.

Hitting the Jackpot even if just only once is better than never. Seeing the cherished 8888 when you hunt for it is something, innit? I myself hit Jackpot 2 times, once it was 10k sats and another time it was 100k.

It looks interesting , I'll give this a go after trying to make a quick profit on bitcoin price predictions yesterday but was not satisfied after knowing the system , it can't hurt to spend a little satoshi every week looking for the 8888 jackpot and it doesn't require any technique anyway . only luck can give us the jackpot we want. BTW thanks for sharing here  Wink

You are welcome. Smiley Yeah, it's fun. I just rolled 1000

when hunting for the Jackpot. It didn't give me the prize I'd get

playing FREE BTC, but it made me feel good anyway, because now I know rolling this magic number is possible! Smiley

~ Congratulations buddy. That's the nice jackpot and here is my story about it. I have won the jackpot multiple times the only problem was I rolled 8888 while rolling the free rolls so I never received the jackpot in reality.  Grin
~

It's funny that just the opposite happened to me several minutes ago. Smiley
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: April 10, 2023, 11:27:31 AM
~ I guess I broke my promise not to gamble for a few months, but I was tempted when I saw my remaining $6 balance and I finally beat the f*cking grandpa. changed $6 to $65 with maxwin.
but unfortunately I only use a very small minimum bet. if I had at least used a $0.7 bet it might have been so much better Tongue
https://replay.pragmaticplay.net/8m7NlDPFWG

I congratulate you on your win, and, honestly, risking $6 is not exactly braking your promise. You can afford to lose $6, I'm pretty sure, and, besides, you couldn't withdraw that amount anyway, because it's too small.

Regarding making higher bets, I disagree. Yes, you would win more in the case of hitting a high multiplier, but it would take just a few lost bets to reach the amount you could afford to lose. Too short to be fun.
2154  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 #1 VIP Crypto Casino 💠 Come in and explore our new design ✨ on: April 10, 2023, 10:30:42 AM
~ Two predictions helps improve the luck factor for obvious reasons which is why literally everyone post two predictions(Not just one) unless they forgot to post their predictions in the specified time intervals.

I think this is the most important thing here: to not forget to post your predictions in both intervals. This is how you really double your chances.

Playing slots is different from participating in Bitcasino.io's Bitcoin Predictor, but it's still  kinda similar in a way. Think of it. When you bet with very small amounts, it's almost like free participation in a game where you can win something.

Yesterday I decided to spend a couple of bucks on mt favourite game. Not to win something, but rather to have fun for five minutes. When I was more than two dollars down, and was just about to stop I hit this

and then additional 5 free spins almost right away

and then with the help of this hammer here

and some other lucky strikes along the way, I actually won a decent amount

out of those free spins. Smiley
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 10, 2023, 09:51:35 AM

AIs analyzing sports accurately may really destroy sports gambling. I can only see gamblers relying much on it to make money, the lazier we become since it's like having a glimpse of the future result.

What about the protest of Elon that AI development must be stopped?  I was watching the news about it recently that government may actually prohibit the further development of AIs.

No, sports betting will not go anywhere. Even if AIs' analysis will be very accurate, it will never be perfect. Let's assume that AI predicts Liverpool to win, and it's previous predictions were 99% accurate. Of course most people will bet on Liverpool in that case, and, as a result, they will be betting with something like 1.009 odds. Thus, bettors that will bet on another team, will get great odds for their bets, and they will get a good multiplier on their bet in that rare case when AI turned out to be wrong. There will always be enough of such people. In fact, I would be one of them betting against the AI. I'm sure, it would be fun. Smiley
2156  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 10, 2023, 09:10:19 AM
If you are greedy, you often end up empty handed. That gambler from the OP was sure about making $11k out of nothing. In other words, he wanted to take all the money bet on the Jaguars, and thought it was easy. It wasn't. Even if you are so rich that you can bet over a million in one bet, don't think you are so smart too. You don't. And now all those brave gamblers that placed their bets on Jaguars are sharing your money between them.

Thinking that you can outsmart the house by placing an almost sure bet with 99% winning chances, only to find out that it will turned to the other side and the house are the one who outsmart you, they simply take away millions out of your pocket while thinking that you can just as easily cash out some thousand if in the event you got the winning team.

There's always an unusual outcome and gambling is a full of risk venue to think that you can make an easy money, always have that extra research before concluding or deciding to how you will place you bet.

I think that no one actually outsmarted him, it was just bad luck. Also the money that guy lost, $1.4 million, it didn't go to the house, did it? More than 90% of the money lost by that unfortunate guy went to the bettors who bet on the Jaguars, and the multiplier on their bet was huge, I think it was 99.00 or something.

It's funny that this is rarely the case. In movies and TV series, yes, this is how it happens, because having such complex schemes makes the story more interesting. In reality everything is much more simple: fraudulent casinos have bad design, bad support and lame advertising. Spotting them is easy unless you are blinded by some unreal promises.
But most people, I mean newbies, often fall for such scams where when they get a lousy offer or advertisement, they get attracted and make their first deposit. At first, everything looked fine but moving forward, those guys sensed something was wrong but couldn't figure out what. People who have been in the gambling game for a long time usually will not fall for such scams unless their greed is aroused by seeing such lame offers or advertisements.
~

What can I say, they should be visiting the Gambling section on this forum more often, and read and learn. I have a feeling that all various issues one can encounter in the world of online gambling have been covered here, and those that haven't will be covered sooner or later. There many gambling related forums, but most the info has no value at all, or even misleading.
2160  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: April 09, 2023, 11:29:07 AM
~
but as I experienced there are some casinos outside the forums that have implemented AI as a customer support helper when the problem is not so complicated the bot or AI will respond quickly, but if the question or problem is more complicated the bot will give instructions to chat directly with the support team original.
so it's likely that most casinos already have AI in place for use on customer support to help the support team answer less complicated questions.

regarding AI being used in the field of slot games, it will definitely be more complicated to learn and I had thought like this but I again ignored my thoughts because I thought it would be so complicated to understand and learn.

You mean, for slot players or for developers? Because I think nothing can be too complicated for players. I mean, it can be extremely complicated in the back end realm, but for users it will be made easy to understand, that's what I'm sure of. Modern slots, even without AI in them, are not that simple mechanisms, and yet we can play them, having no clue about how they work. I'm looking forward eagerly for some slots with AI implemented. And I think we'll see the first ones no later than this Summer.
