2141  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: February 11, 2023, 10:59:33 AM
~
There is nothing wrong to treat your work/family seriously but remember you have to draw a bottom line. If anybody tries to take advantage of you in whatever reason,  please cut them off immediately. If not, an endless horrible life is what you'll get. I believed in good heart and being kind to all the people around me but this ideal does not work in real life. We have to know when to be an asshole in order to survive. Winners always take it all and losers get nothing.

Not letting to use you is one thing, but being an asshole is entirely another. We, humans, have been building a world where assholes have small chances to survive, and sympathetic and helpful people have bigger ones. The times of those "winners" that "take it all" have passed, but, as we can see, many people haven't noticed that.

Again, don't let leeches to use you and keep you apart from your financial freedom, but know this: being an asshole is bad for your survival at the present times.

I guess you misunderstood my point. Being an asshole, wether it's in its real meaning or just an metaphor, is used against those people who are scumbags that don't play by the rules. You'll never win when dealing with those people if you still play decently. I am talking about the real world surviving, not at a fair competition situation. The "sympathetic and helpful people" are only rewarded when the enviroment is fair and sound. Otherwise they are more likely to be used or exploited.

I don't think that being sympathetic and helpful is equivalent to being a loser. There is such a risk, no doubt about that, but it is not certain that you will be used or exploited if you try to play by the rules, while others around you don't. If you are strong, you will not be engaged in their games, and you will finally find the right folks to hang out with. The cheaters will be left behind, and they will lose in the end, but it doesn't really matter, we shouldn't care about them much anyway. What matters is that the world after many hundred years of moral evolution has become a place where "a fair competition situation" is the reality. I have to admit, it's not like that everywhere. But there are enough such places, you just have to find them.
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 11, 2023, 08:44:36 AM
Many times we are in a situation and we do not not realize the intensity of the problem. One such case is compulsive gambling. In simple words, it means that you are unable to control the urge to get involved with gambling even after understanding the potential harms associated with it.

Here are some signs of compulsive gambling :

1) Gambling related thoughts are always in your mind even when you are working on other activities

2) You keep increasing the gambling related money with each game

3) You try to gamble more in attempt to recover loss

4) Ignoring other important work like job just for gambling

Would you like to add to these signs ? Have you ever found yourself trapped in this situation and how did you get rid of this ?

I can imagine what it is because I was on the place of a compulsive gambler many times. Only it lasted several hours max, and never days or weeks like with really sick people. What makes me stop finally? A really big loss, much bigger than I can afford to lose. Fortunately, it is never that big that I feel the consequences for many days after it happens, but still it is big and painful, and I remember some cases even when years have passed.

My advice is: stop before losing even more. It does happen sometimes that you recover your losses and even win something on top of that, when you keep rolling. But don't fall for that trap. Stop when you lost a bit more than you can easily afford to. It's better than to win your money back this time because of luck, and then always hope that it can happen again. Gambling addicts even think it must happen. That's exactly the trap we should stay out of.

That's the way it is, I think he uses probabilities, and the worst thing is that he's not someone who's going to play it, I know that he uses a lot of some abilities that he has, I thought he was just lucky, one of the things he told me is that he Sometimes he assumed that such a player had such a game, and that made him very eager to play a bet or to do something like assuming such a thing, however what strikes me is that the knowledge is such that it assures me that when He always plays, he wins something, if he doesn't come first, he comes in at least 3rd place, he tells me that now there aren't as many games as before, poker tournaments, and that's something that has made him stop playing games of chance a lot.

There are poker sites, or other gambling sites with poker tables,  where tournaments are going non-stop, several of them at the same time in some places. Stopping playing games of chance is one thing, but poker is not a game of chance according to many gamblers, and I agree with them mainly. Your friend has those skills that are reuired for playing poker successfully, and I think he stopped maybe because he wanted a break, not because he couldn't find a site with active poker tournaments.

And probably also it's the same with any other risky activity that can potentially give you a big reward. Those are the tricks our mind plays with us. The thing is that our brain has not changed since tens of thousands of years ago, and this behaviour, always taking the risk to potentially get something big, was the right one for our survival for many thousand of years because there were no slot machines, no crypto trading, and we, humans, rarely had this opportunity to get a fortune of a lifetime within one day.

Casinos should probably hire scientists to study human behavior concerning risks and dopamine release. Cool

I don't know about casinos, but the results of such study would be interesting to see for millions of people on YouTube. That's what I'm sure of.  Cool

Would there be bets for the Oscars this year, cant exactly remember if there was previous but pretty sure we did bet on it in previous years.   I can remember being convinced on the Anthony Hopkins film but I forget if I bet the actor or the film or both.    Surely its popular enough to qualify on the major categories and get the volume of bets back and forth for proper odds.

We still have plenty of time till Oscars, and I'm waiting for the betting options for this event on FreeBitco.in as well. In previous years we used to have many categories to bet on. I don't remember how many, but more than 5, I'm sure. It's been always one of my favourite kinds of betting, because I love watching good movies, and there are always many of really good movies among Oscar nominations.

To tell the truth, I always lose some money when betting on Oscars. I'm never in profit from this, but it's so entertaining that I will never stop betting on the Academy Awards. I might lose several bucks, but the fun is worth it. Hopefully, we'll get it on FreeBitco.in this year.

Liz Cheney tweeted in response: "Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch - Why do you continually put Douglas MacGregor on @FoxNews to spread Putin's propaganda and lies? This is absolutely not in America's interest."

I agree with Liz Cheney here. And the video from your your link only confirms that Douglas MacGregor is doing nothing more than spreading Putin's propaganda and lies.

If you don't rebuy/re-enter along the way, it is, but a couple of rebuys makes it not enough to be in the paid places to get your money back.
Yes, i try to play without rebuy. May be i mistakes, but i think that if i have to rebuy - i`m to bad for this tournament.

I think, overall it's a good way of thinking: the less you spend on your entertainment with gambling, the better. I myself do rebuys, but not more than once.

Interesting. I'm using exactly the same tactic, and it works most of the time. It doesn't work only when your opponent has a really good hand. Then, of course, he calls your bluff and you lose.
With good hand we can do nothing the most of the time. We only have a chance with bluff i think. But with bluff we have the same chance to lose all we have. Bluff can become a deadly mistake.

From my experience, if you bluff but your opponent has a pair of Aces, he calls. Let alone he has something better.

I'm not sure about this. In my opinion, if you keep changing your tactics all the time, it's impossible to understand it.
It is enough difficult to change tactics all the time for me. I begin mistake. And when you playing several tournaments the same time it becomes only more difficult.

Exactly. That's why I have stopped playing at several tournaments at the same time. It's not relaxing, it's rather stressing.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 07, 2023, 01:35:13 PM
The best way is to monitor gaming providers, because they're a different section but exist in all casinos, and that makes it look like all Casinos communicate with each other to detect players. I think if a gaming provider flags a player for being underage or fraudulent disputes they can easily track that person on other casinos using their detective systems. And this time the player may be unlucky and the account will get restricted after they've won some money. They could be a way other than changing IP, proxies, or even Kyc how these people determine a suspicious player. So, the way out is to change games and try focusing on games that has different providers. That way the user can be difficult to trace.

Keep in mind that there's another reason for someone being limited, and it's his/her gambling addiction. In some jurisdictions gambling providers are obliged to limit someone's stakes just because they are too big, or there are too many of them to consider them affordable for the gambler. So, providers put a limit on the stakes of such person, and then this person goes around forums saying he was limited because he was so good at betting and that casinos fear him.

I personally think that this is the main reason why someone is limited, but I have no proof of that, so, let's just keep in mind that there are such cases.

Indeed it's among the right reasons why a person can be traced till forever never to gamble anywhere again, gambling addiction, if a person is restricted for such reasons they may not be enabled to play anywhere, but how exactly it's been achieved is like gambling we can't be sure of it, there are more than enough cases why a person gets limited, yet the game providers play an effective role in tackling these limitation disputes.

We can't be sure of it. Absolutely. Besides, gamblers always can find ways to circumvent  these restrictions, but the harder to do it, the better for them gambling addicts. If they are restricted on the most reliable gambling platforms, they can go to less reliable ones, but they know the risks, so, some of them stop gambling for that reason.

Overall, it's a good thing that providers required to limit people who are sick and need professional help. It saves many lives, I'm sure.
2149  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: February 07, 2023, 10:01:24 AM

If you place a single bet with the odds 20.00+, you will almost definitely lose your bet, but for multibetting it is not so certain. Like today I placed a multibet on Duelbits with 43.61 odds:

I'm hoping to win because all the outcomes I bet on are pretty likely to come true, and, also, I won a multibet with 101.00 odds once, so why can't I win with 43.61 odds? Smiley

Do you keep any statistics if you are in the long end in profit when placing multibets with these high odds? It is always thrilling to win (multi)bets with high odds but I kept record of all my bets for 2 years and never had a positive ROI when placing multibets. There was 1 bet that ended up losing and most of the time that was the one with the lowest odd.

I don't write it down, but I remember, more or less, how much I won and lost from such multibets. My profit is not big, nothing to brag about, but I'm definitely in profit from my multibet adventure, which has started half a year ago. When I will lose more than $100, I will stop, but firstly, as I said, I'm in profit, and, secondly, with the bets I make, $0.20-$1.00, it's not that easy to lose $100. Smiley
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 07, 2023, 09:38:24 AM
ChatGPT is just a software that can always has bugs so I don't think there would be any accuracy to the predictions done by a chatGPT. Since the outcome of most of the sport games are not 100% known so we just  have to know that the predictions would never be always authentic.
We are gamblers and most time we do make predictable according to how strong the team is and most we still get it wrong because the weak team might be fortunate enough to make goals that will make them ha e iighers goals than their opponent.

ChatGPT, and others, simply process information, similar to how a human would do it, to male predictions about future events.

Of course since there's some random element, the predictions will never be 100% accurate, but AI is getting closer and sometimes maybe better than human predictions.

And the important thing is that a human needs to learn a lot to make good predictions, whereas the AI can learn the same or more in way less time and make similar or better predictions.

AI is just a tool, same with how the Internet is just a tool.

And the amount of time we, humans, need to get to know and process this information is incomparable to that the AI needs. What could take years for us, takes fractions of a second for the AI. So, yeah, it "is just a tool", but a very powerful one. Unfortunately, right now we still can't try ChatGPT for making sports predictions, but when it's possible ... well, I feel like I'm already addicted to it. Smiley
2151  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 07, 2023, 08:57:45 AM

This is a great promo with an amazing prize pool! I especially like that it is about the highest multiplier, not the highest win. Regular folks like us, not big sharks, have a chance to win something too. Wink

A bit correction, Stake vs Eddie promotions is not about highest multiplier but it is about beat eddie's multiplier.
The target is just to hit higher multiplier than Eddie's in the specified game, once we did it, we are eligible for the prize.
This promo is the one that I like the most, the prize is good enough but still we need to set a losing limit while trying to beat the multiplier.
As per my experience, the prize is around $50 but ofc it is not fixed because the reward will always based on how many players are able to beat the multiplier.
The more players managed to beat it, the less reward we will get and vice versa.

Thanks, it was an important correction. I knew it, but didn't write it, and it was wrong on my side.

A new promo is on now. Game: Money Train 3. Target Multiplier: 300.00x. Minimum Bet: 0.10c USD.

I will definitely try my luck with this one because 300s isn't something unattainable. My personal record is 1,009x, set it not that long ago:

and something around 300x I did many times. Let's see what this new promo brings to us, shall we? Smiley

2153  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: February 06, 2023, 03:38:18 PM

Gamblers will be trying new casinos all the time. You can't do anything about that. Your goal should be to make them want to stay on your platform, while playing on others too.
I would also add that in the process of developing and refining the ability to play new games or old games known to players with improved interfaces, the time factor is important.
Such software changes must be very dynamic and fast.  Otherwise, of course, competitors will outrun the developers of this casino, and then, of course, players will begin to gradually move to other gambling sites that they like more.

But for this, of course, you need constant monitoring of competitors' developments and, of course, a strong powerful devs team.

I don't think an attractive gambling platform should perform constant software changes. Changing something on your site once in 2-3 years period is enough. You should just make deals with reputable slots and other software providers, and it's their job to make sure that everything was up-to-date. Unless you want everything on your platform was made by you, but it's so hard, it's almost impossible.

That's definitely something nice, and always has been. I like the freebets in a sense because I like to do the most impossible bets ever, like the favourites to win, so that should be easy right? Like the team I bet on has 1.40 odds, so I should win right? Yeah, but I pick like 15 of them if I can Cheesy.

Or whatever max I am allowed at that moment, 15 was my max but maybe one day I can manage to bet on more. That's the type of thing I like, when you have 10-15 bets, in a single ticket, with odds ranging from 1.20 to 1.70, that's still pretty insane to hit. Never managed to win anything with that before, it is definitely something difficult, but I bet I will get it eventually.

Your post inspired me to do just the same. First off, I was surprised how hard it was to find 15 available bets with the odds around 1.4. At first I was planning my bets in the range 1.35 - 1.45, but then I gave up and made them in the range 1.32 - 1.54. Now I'm sure that I could find something more appropriate than 1.54, but it was my last bet in that multibet and I was too tired to search again.

It was a question to me, what the final odds might be with a 15-leg multi bet with average odds being at 1.42 (I just calculated it). Now I know, there they are:

...

Almost 200.00. Not bad, considering that each one of them is the most expected outcome.

I think from now on, apart from bets like this(my favourite ones):

I'll be making multibets with the odds around 1.40 on average. It's interesting to see what strategy will be more effective. Smiley
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Roller Tailing on: February 06, 2023, 12:30:02 PM
Have you guys tried tailing high rollers with their bets on sports and electronic sports?
Because today I tried doing it just for an experiment and I took a bet on 5 games even without knowledge about them. I didn't put too much money into it because like I said, it's just for a trial.
It didn't end up well and these are the results. 4 losses and 1 win.

I copied the bet of users who are mostly playing above $1000 per bet. Some 1 Ethereum and the other with 0.1BTC if I remember it right.
So I thought, these gamblers are not joking about their bets, they must have researched hard and knew who has the highest chance to win or the end result of the scores.
Question: Has anyone been successful in doing this?

I know it's not right to bet on a game without knowing about it, I am just curious if someone does this kind of strategy.

I think your experiment is a very interesting one. Thanks for conducting it and posting the results here. We can't make any conclusions from just 5 bets, we need many thousands of bets for that, but we can discuss our expectations from this kind of betting.

I personally think that money-wise it's not worth it, or, in other words, it's the same as copying any other bets because in most cases people betting $1,000 at once are not more knowledgeable. They just can afford to lose $1k, same as we can afford to lose $1 or $10. But entertainment-wise it is surely interesting because we can make such bets and discuss our experiences in this thread, and kinda compete with each other in making more successful bets this way.

2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US casinos set new record of revenue on 2022 on: February 06, 2023, 11:53:05 AM
Gambling is getting more popular, just at the US casinos produced almost 55 billion dollars in revenue during 2022, an amount which surpassed the previous record that was established last year, and since any trend going on the US is most likely taking place all over the world it seems safe to assume the same is happening at many other countries.

Have you noticed this as well where you live? Are cryptocurrency casinos experimenting the same kind of boom as fiat casinos?

Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/willyakowicz/2023/01/13/us-set-gambling-record-in-2022-with-more-than-549-billion-in-revenue/

I'm sure they are, only I don't think it's possible to find reliable stats on that. Online crypto casinos are, of course, still less popular than fiat casinos, but I think we can safely assume that the online crypto casinos' yearly turnover is measured in billions of US dollars. And this industry will only be growing in the future because people want to spend more time at home than outside(because of pandemics and many other things). Land-based casinos will not go anywhere because for some people the experience is irreplaceable, but most of the gamblers, I think more than 90% of them, will be gambling online.
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interesting Facts About Online Casinos on: February 06, 2023, 11:26:49 AM
Fact number 8 is a well known one. That will continue to be the top for many years to come and the reason is simple,in slot machines we have a huge variety of slots, themes, sounds, graphics and what is most important different bonus games mechanics in almost every slot, almost all of them have a unique bonus.Beside this in most of these games you can have the option to buy in the bonus game or feature game when you are feeling that luck is not on your side at specific times so you don't go away bored without trying the bonus game.

All that is true, and yet I think that the main reason why online sots are so popular that no other type of online games can be even compared to them is that people find unpredictability exciting. When you place a bet of $1 on one number in a roulette game, you will either lose your bet, or you will win 35x of your bet. And you can say with certainty that whatever you do, you will never win 40x of your bet or more. While with slots you can win $0.10 or $10,000, or more, and it's totally unpredictable what's going to happen.

Yes congrats to all the winners. As usual my prediction is far from reality. Grin
Lol. My predictions are almost always close, but not close enough. As these competitions become more and more popular, it will become tougher and tougher to win them, but the silver lining is that they become more entertaining this way.

Absolutely! There's little fun in ending up in the top three when there are only 5 participants. But when there are more than fifty of them, like the last time, you feel special when you win, right guys? Congrats, lucky bastards! Smiley

~ Any suggestion from anyone which games are good to make some cash? Suggest me three, I will try.

I suggest you to play these two:

Bitcasino Billion

Gates of Bitcasino

with the minimal bet possible if you want to have fun for longer.

And play this one, if you want to wager it quicker:

Expansion!

I still suggest you to place minimum bets, because this way you have more chances of hitting something great(in my opinion), but they are 0.3 mBTC on Expansion!, so it will take less time to wager your prize. Good Luck! Smiley
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: February 05, 2023, 11:50:53 AM
... But my question is, how, even theoretically, we can use AI for the games of chance? I mean, it can tell you what part of your bankroll to stake at once to, theoretically, last longer, but in reality your very first bet can be that with the highest multiplier possible, and no AI can tell you for sure that it won't happen.

It won't be very useful for games with mathematically determined odds, where the house has an edge. But (when it's able to collect data from external sources) it could be good for things like looking for positive EV opportunities on numerous different gambling sites (i.e. with high enough Jackpot and low number of players, the mathematical edge can sway on your side).

Yes, it could be, but in reality, if using an AI for that you would likely to end up on a scam site with very favorable odds, but no intention to pay you out ever.

Another problem with positive EV games is that you need to make many millions of bets to really take advantage of that.

But it'd probably most useful for gambling with "judgmental" odds, i.e. sports betting, where it could be looking for arbitrage opportunities (but I think we already have that for quite a while) or it could run an advanced analysis on teams performance, past results, patterns etc and could help you find good value bets (i.e. with pay-out rates higher than they should be). Then it could help you decide on the size of the wager for best long-term effects.

The problem is, if such tools will be available to players, bookies will also be using them in order to not get screwed.

Yeah, bookies and other gamblers too. And this will change the odds in such a way that you will need to risk $100 in order to potentially win $5 with a 94% win chance. Sounds familiar? Yeah, those are the odds for a dice game. Smiley
