~Exceptional posters earn merit at a much faster rate than their activity ~ Even a mathematical formula could be applied, I think. I would love to hear your thoughts about this. I can think of several distinct ways to do this: 1. More Merit than Activity (this seems logical, but you may miss out on high quality users who barely ever post, while you include users who post a lot and receive Merit for some of their posts) 2. More Merit than Posts (this is a much better quality indicator!) 3. Percentage of Posts that received Merit (now it becomes interesting!) I'll give some examples of each category (full data and explanation here): 1. LoyceV ( ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ). Since the introduction of Merit, I've received much more Merit than Activity, but only 0.38 Merit per new post and only 10% of my posts received merit. 2. gmaxwell earned 7.1 Merit per post since the introduction of Merit! 3. theymos received Merit on 32.8% of his posts since Merit was introduced. Update: after checking an update for gmaxwell, he fits category 3 even better with 59% of his posts merited. Depending on which criteria you choose, you can get a completely different list of users to follow. I would suggest a combination (kinda like Vod's BPIP Recognition), but categories 2 and 3 require extensive scraping from the forum to get the numbers for each user.

The previous messages posted here where by the seller of the account, i am the buyer that was scammed. Did you just buy the account that was used to complain about an account trade, and now continue the same accusation from the same account posing as a different person? This is definitely a new level ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) In any way, the same as yesterday still applies: where's the evidence? Chat logs aren't worth anything, as it doesn't even prove the seller owns the account he's trying to sell. In that case it could just as well have been theymos' account intead of Mikemark's account.

I am little bit surprised that how a DT member could involved with account sale ? OP was only recently added to DT.

I will contact suchmoon and ask him why he flagged me. Suchmoon didn't flag you, he's just the messenger: Your account showed up on modlog, and he listed it.

What I meant by this, was adding to your list, the users that were merited within these topics and because this might be difficult to format into a list I suggested transforming the data into a table. If there are too many users merited within a particular thread, then I was thinking the users that have garnered the most merit from that particular thread be listed alongside it. That'll be a lot more data. I can do it per thread if there's a specific interest: It's a quick fix which used my existing scraped usernames (I accidentally used the list from June 18), and not all of them worked as expected, but you'll get the idea. With some more work I could add the amounts of Merit, and make a similar list for Merit senders in a thread. If interested, let me know. I could do this for all threads, and it shouldn't be too much work, but I'll end up with another 34 thousand output files ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The Wall Observer for instance: these users received Merit: 1. theymos 2. Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0[/url]
USERS THAT ARE ABUSING MERIT SYSTEM [/url]
I was just scrolling through the list and stumbled upon these, which seem like they're supposed to be links, but are not. I'm wondering if I am the ignoramus in the room, or if these are incorrectly formatted/placed? Little clarification would go a long way for me on this one. It's the ignoramus (new word on my list!) ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I explained this in the post above yours. Anyway, I've fixed it by adding a space to [ list]. I've also marked deleted posts, and I finally found the time to create the external link in HTML. This fixes the Russian titles and icons. Would it be too much work to throw it into a table, include the OP and the "merited users" or "top merited users" for each?
I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for.

The question that come to my mind is how much smerit a source could give in a row/repetitively without receiving (silly) remarks? My record is 4 in a second: October 13, 2018, 10:18:22 AM: 1 to Indamuck for Re: Universal Basic Income Is Silicon Valley’s Latest Scam October 13, 2018, 10:18:22 AM: 1 to audaciousbeing for Re: Universal Basic Income Is Silicon Valley’s Latest Scam October 13, 2018, 10:18:22 AM: 1 to figmentofmyass for Re: Universal Basic Income Is Silicon Valley’s Latest Scam October 13, 2018, 10:18:22 AM: 1 to KonstantinosM for Re: Universal Basic Income Is Silicon Valley’s Latest Scam Serious answer: I don't think there's a limit. As long as the posts are worth it, who cares about silly remarks?

A few months ago, I discovered Drownhim.com:Official thread: Drownhim! Brand new multiplayer game.
I like Drownhim because it's different than other gambling sites: it's a social multiplayer game. You can win by cooperating and fighting at the right moment.
Manual or Unibot Drownhim offers manual playing, and several Bots. The most versatile bot is called Unibot:![Unibot settings loading...](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi63.tinypic.com%2F2vl2mv5.gif&t=664&c=vmjjN32Vyin1mg) See [Drownhim.com]Testing Unibot settings and sharing successful bots for bot strategies.
Know what you advertise Test Drownhim.com before joining. You'll need to have an account before you can apply to this campaign. Feel free to deposit, but there's a faucet too.
How to join? 1. Like and Follow Drownhim.com on Facebook. 2. Share at least 1 video and 1 post/image made by Drownhim on Facebook. 3. Enter your username and links in this Google Form.
Spreadsheet link
Rewards This campaign pays in DROWNS. Currently, DROWNS only exist on Drownhim.com. Depending on the success, an on-chain Token may be created later on. DROWNS can be converted into Bitcoin by playing them at Drownhim.com, see details here. The fee to withdraw Bitcoin from Drownhim.com is only 0.00005BTC (50 Bits or 0.05mBTC). 500+ Facebook friends: 40 DROWNS 100+ real (at my discretion!) Facebook friends: 70 DROWNS. To qualify for this, your Facebook friends should not be "bounty hunters", but real people you know IRL. To qualify for 70 DROWNS, I want to see friends with baby pictures and vacation videos, but no ICOs!
Note: your Facebook privacy settings should allow me to see your friends.
DROWNS will be rewarded for qualifying entries at least once per week, but we try to be much faster. If this campaign is a success, we'll have more campaigns later, for instance on Twitter and a signature campaign on Bitcointalk.
Rules 1. This campaign is self-moderated to stop (signature) spam. I will remove all non-qualifying posts. If you quote the entire OP, your entry will be deleted. 2. If you post your entry in this thread, your post will be deleted. Use this Google Form. Feel free to ask questions here, I want real users, not spam bots ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 3. Only one account per person. 4. If you cheat, spam or plagiarize, I will get you banned. Just be fair. 5. If you don't follow the correct format to join this campaign, you'll be rejected. Think of this as a reading test ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) 6. Anyone who has been blacklisted for any of the campaigns I've managed in the past will be rejected here. 7. Users with Red Trust on DT2 are not allowed to join. Those entries will be deleted.
Disclaimer If we get less than 100 participants within 2 weeks, there will be no special DROWNS rounds. In that case, DROWNS will be exchanged at the rate of 1 DROWN = 1 Bit (100 Satoshi, 0.001mBTC or 0.000001BTC).We reserve the right to change or end this campaign at any moment, and to exclude people from the giveaway if we feel we need to do so. I (LoyceV) am not affiliated with Drownhim.com, but I've been in contact with MrDrowner, and run this campaign on their behalf. I am not in charge of any payments. There is no escrow.

I had brought that account from one buyer and sell that with another buyer. The person who had brought from me had scammed me , without payment. So you have no evidence, and there is no reason to tag MikeMark.

I am pretty sure they are obliged by law if they are registered in the US or EU or other similar areas. Good luck with that! Let me quote theymos: I intend to ignore all stupidity coming out of the EUSSR.

On every thread we have links for "download" wallets. (most likely malware IMHO) A newbie asking to install 5 differents wallets with no explanations and links about the project is a big red flag to me. Agreed. But I don't leave red trust based on red flags, I leave it on smoking guns ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Edit also, untrusted feedback I saw that, but from a user with no posts.
I've downloaded this file and sent it to https://www.virustotal.com for testing. It shows this: ![Image loading...](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi66.tinypic.com%2F2uhnyc8.png&t=664&c=vnvibven9T07FA) Virus explanation: Once infected, it will change your computer setting by changing the registry entries and startup items. When you start your computer, it will run itself automatically at the background. By taking up a lot of system resources, your computer performance will be very slow. It will add its malicious file on your computer. You will find there are a lot of unwanted shortcuts and icons on the desktop. HardZix answers this: All claims will be resolved soon, thanks That's not enough, so I'll tag him. Further quotes for my Reference link:

User HardZix has opened 5 ANN threads in total. I can't check/confirm the virus warning, but I can see he instantly removed the warning from his self-moderated topic. I'm willing to tag him, but would like to see conclusive evidence first. Is there a site where I can upload a Windows file for virus scanning? I wil lreport my own post and see if I get the moderators` attention. Mods can't delete your account either. They can delete your posts or ban you. The irony is: if you wouldn't have created this topic, nobody would have ever seen your name!

Good Day All. I had sold my MikeMark account for my mom medical expenses to one person. That person get the account details and reset the password and mail .Now he is not paying me . He scammed me .And saying me , you can't do anything now. So please give that MikeMark account redtrust. It is helpful for me. Then that guy come to know ,their will be the punishment .If he scam others.
Quoted for reference. Your posting style doesn't look like MikeMark's posting at all. I also have a hard time believing MikeMark lives in a country where selling a Full Member account can pay for medical bills. If you can sign a message from 1PmHZ3eSuDK5BZA3pUqrCMmjeJk7uqZ4Ax, I'll tag the account.

First, let's get clear which (opening) posts you use as examples (suchmoon already did this but I'll embed the images anyway): 1. [LEARN] BBCode Lessons & Tutorials [+tutorial videos!]: 15842 views. 2. Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban: 22399 views. 3. LoyceV's Merit data analysis (full data since Jan. 24, 2018; not just 120 days): 3875 views. I didn't know the last screenshot was from my topic until I found it through the Merit history. I'll comment on both threads created by me: 2. The OP itself clearly isn't worth that much Merit, but there's more to it: Merit means it's worth reading, and considering the topic has 972 posts, almost all of them on-topic (otherwise I'd report them to have them removed), and lead to hundreds if not thousands of forum abusers getting banned, it's definitely worth reading. 3. Do you have any idea how many hours I've invested in creating that thread? Have you seen the weekly updates for more than 6 months, and the enormous amount of data I've processed into human readable format? I didn't keep track, but in total I've spent many dozens of hours on it. That being said, time spent on it's own isn't enough to receive Merit. It has to be useful too. While you're pointing at me, did you know that only 0.26% of my posts made before and 10.45% of my posts made after the introduction of Merit received Merit? I've seen plenty of Newbies (with worthy posts) who have a higher percentage. Now, back to gellany32: Your argument would be a lot stronger if you could show 3 posts made my Newbies of equal quality that didn't receive any Merit. User Loycev has commendable post and there is no arguing with that. The only thing i empasized the post is that if you are a high ranks bias meriting would be possible and if you were lower rank you will be less likely to receive one.
I'll make you a deal: Find 3 high-quality posts made by Newbies without any Merit, and show them in this thread. If I agree, I'll merit all three of them, and your post too. You're not a spammer, so by that figure, you shouldn't be restricted by Merit. However, your posts look like you only made them to earn merit. Take this example: you're not adding any new information, you're just rephrasing text and numbers from other users. Instead of pointing at high ranking users and complaining about Merit, try to add something helpful to the forum. Now, can we be more friendly? I am started to worry now the possible replies. Me not sending you Merit doesn't mean I'm unfriendly. Merit was created to stop spam, and nobody is going to miss spammers. You can check this thread, Bitcoin Technical Support. There's a lot of newbies getting merited by higher rank member, why? its because they don't care about merits and they really deserves to be merited anyways. So there's no bias whatsoever. If higher ranks really see newbies showing quality post worth of at least 1 merit then they will give it hands down. I love meriting new users that show they aren't spammers! That's what this forum needs, and if they stick around, they'll be self-made high ranking users a few years from now.

It would be interesting to see a ranking of users who received no more than 2 merits from other users and no more than 10 merits for a given post. That is, users who are constantly receiving merits for common posts. Which are neither extraordinary nor outlier, but still produce content interesting enough to receive some merits. That would be an interesting list indeed, but I'm not going to make it. Feel free to use Full Merit history to make this list. It should be pretty straight forward to do, if needed I can add usernames to the list of userIDs.
I've slightly updated my script, it now counts how many individual posts received Merit: User LoyceV ( full history) - Received a total of 1135 Merit up to last Friday.
- Received 88 Merit (7.75%) for 9 (0.26%) of 3404 posts created before the introduction of Merit (0.0258 Merit per old post).
- Received 1045 Merit (92.07%) for 282 (10.45%) of 2696 posts created after the introduction of Merit (0.3876 Merit per new post).
- Received 2 Merit (0.17%) for posts that are now deleted.
I've updated satoshi's en theymos' stats in the OP.
