After 02:26 moscow time:

 * the wallet balance graph became zero on the site UI (https://zpool.ca/?address=19RpHAnFyJ5kbeSsPpCyBJE3NPfopYjXy5).
 * API profitability values stopped updating, each minute it's still the same -- never changed since then.

At the time of writing this is still happening.

This happens now and then.  usually when crackfoo is doing server upgrades/maintenance.

As you can see your balance will still rise and you will also see the coins generated you get shares for.
2162  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BW 14nm Miners Update on: May 12, 2016, 09:43:15 PM
my batch 2 is really good it can do .245 watts per gh with a quality platinum psu

it can run with .0001 error rate for weeks on end.

newer s-7's are about .291 watts a gh

That sounds about right....  I have one of the later batch 600M with fewer chips;  It stays near ~965w @ 500Mhz doing ~3.4Th which comes to 0.283w/Gh
This is with a Coolmax 1600 Silver rated PSU.
2163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: May 12, 2016, 05:00:45 PM
Yeah;  It was safe to assume this power supply model was overrated, but it was literally underrated.

I have picked one up for myself at $100;  It had the same power distribution board fried.   I did some magic soldering work and was able to keep the power distribution and not have to solder the modular PCIE cables directly to the PSU...

Blockchainmines did a test; and the bitmain 240V ecu actually ends up sucking more wattage than a gold rated 1600w brand-name PSU...
2164  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: May 12, 2016, 03:52:14 PM
that stil would not explain all three failing - the shorted board would fail, but its unlikely all tree boards shorted at once and long enough to do this damage before killing the PSU
those look like garbage 18-20awg wires, but again - this should have failed on the board with two connectors long before the ones with three.

If i had to make a guess, i would say its related to the polarity, perhaps a custom wiring job gone wrong. Im not sure though if the S7 would force such a massive power draw though in that scenario?

even the connector on the controller burnt up. I dont think its a problem with the S7 - this looks like the result of a server PSU conversion where the wires were done wrong, and a GND or 12V wire was in the wrong pin, or shorted out in the breakout board/soldering

agreed.  user error IMHO.  Only time I get heating up plugs is insufficient power supply wattage, or low line input voltage due to an overloaded power line to the miner's supply.

I have had two coolmax 1600W power supplies fail on S7's.....

They are rated to put out 110A of 12V and 50A of 12V (12V#1, &2 as per the sticker on the power supply)

What they fail to mention is 12V#2 is only supplying the SATA plugs and the motherboard plugs.... so you are limited to 110A in reality.  And when you have all those PCIE plugs hooked to a board;  well;  I have two power distribution daugehter boards that have caught fire and half melted down.   I since have started lopping off the motherboard power plugs and attaching PCIE plugs to them to power a single hashing board.  This has balanced out the power draw in the supply and there has been no problem since...

So;  Its can easily be user error.
2165  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: May 12, 2016, 12:18:39 PM
Its not a PSU fault, the miner probably overheated and melted some solder or a heatsink fell apart and shorted something out.

Each blade uses like 400 watts so using 2 pcie wouldn't of caused this.

Looks like they lowered the price to exactly 1 BTC after the coupons expired.

Price:       450 USD
               ( 1.005 BTC )

See;  now that's a reasonable price;  period.  I may order one even though I don't have the power supply to run it quite yet.  I already had to shut off all my scrypt miners and some of my S3's to lighten the load on my power connection.

As far as that miner above;  The only way to get that kind of thermal runaway is to either be undervolted on the supply line;  overdrawn on your supply line, insufficient power supply wattage, or not enough plugs from power supply to miner.    I am starting to think all 3.  Also;  They may draw 400W each;  but overclocking or running the machine close to 75+* is a beast to consider.

OuCh ! Not mine, just sharing . . .

what was his power supply?   and more importantly;  how overloaded was his power supply line to fry ALL of the boards like that.....
2167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New one fan S7 on: May 11, 2016, 07:14:04 PM
I personally like a fan on the exhaust side because I can duct it out to a roof vent.....  It would be my preferrable position, but forming pressure inside the box instead of taking pressure away; is more efficient for cooling (air density rules IMHO)
2168  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New one fan S7 on: May 11, 2016, 04:54:00 PM
oddly this current sale run has two fans again....

This is why you do unlimited orders for .00000018/Gh or less....   It may take time for the machines to be free;  but you will get them cause not everyone pays the gigantic fees assopciated with renting a small to large amount of hash.

On GPU algo orders, there is the algo switching by miners, which means orders submitted on other algos can affect the amount of hash provided to another algo. Picking up hash on the cheap requires a lot of patience.

This is why my comment is specifically on SHA Wink   All standalone ASIC's mostly...   And most users it seems doesn't set a minimum sell amount in their password field.

Very difficult to make a profit out of nichhash rent. It has to be at a huge discount. The rate has to cover:

Nicehash fees
Pool fees
Extra fees paid to miners for coin switches (not insignificant)
Time spent on low diff coins (block solutions lost when stratum diff > coin diff, + block solving hashes can be submitted quicker than the block notify mechanism leading to less blocks solved)
Pool speed vs recorded speed (should balance out, but seems to take a big hit when the nicehash orders looses speed against a high stratum diff)
An element of luck solving high difficulty coins

Unless you can sustain an order with at least s 25% discount, I would say there is not much of a chance of making a return.

This is why you do unlimited orders for .00000018/Gh or less....   It may take time for the machines to be free;  but you will get them cause not everyone pays the gigantic fees assopciated with renting a small to large amount of hash.

also getting a lot of "nonces already sent" using tpruvot ccminer and blake2s... anyone?

Same.   Might be the miner app that has a bug in it...

But on the pool;  I was getting a nice even share percentage (hashrate within 5% of my miners hashrate) for a few days and then now its staying about 1/2 to 1/3 of what it should be on the pool;  yet my miner app is still hashing strong.   Difficulty settings had zero effect; so I switched it back to default.
2172  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you own any weapons? on: May 09, 2016, 09:02:27 PM
Yep. 3 shotguns for quail, 4 rifles for game of various sizes. No handguns, those are hard to get where I live. Don't really see a reason either.

Ill let you formulate your own answer.

Milling out 80% lowers?

It's not overly difficult to start with a 0% if you know what you are doing.  Cloning something like a revolver, derringer or a Raven P25 is stupid easy.
Having CNC/manual mills/lathes at your fingertips is a huge bonus Wink  You can do a 1911 80% with a jig and a few hand-files.... Build one as cheap as ~$450.

Something seems odd about decred payouts, like they are short about 15%.

e.g. http://zpool.ca/?address=1Av5gw4wuRCgAfuw7Yinwze65vA8unzvv9

17.987 DCR block (9hr ago), percent was 6.7222% = 1.21DCR. But, paid only 1.02DCR (15% missing)
18.101 DCR block (10hr ago), percent was 5.7444% = 1.0397364. But, paid only 0.885760 DCR (15% missing)

What's happening here?

since it's yaamp is it possible that dcr to dcr weren't "exchanged" 1:1 ?

If the share % is wrong;  and your generated % is calced based off share %;  then theres the error overall.  Its just misreported on the frontend so says the pool owner.

I tried to mine decred.
But i get : stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:5744 not responding !

Is something wrong with the pool ?
Or do i have a issue with cgminer ?

This is the command line i use :
cgminer.exe --blake256 -o stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:5744 -u 1BZv8NwcXFwHZtX3wtkNiD3jaF1y59Ewjz -p d=2

you are trying to run the blake256 algo on the decred port.... see below.  Make sure your miner supports decred and your video card.

cgminer.exe --decred -o stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:5744 -u 1BZv8NwcXFwHZtX3wtkNiD3jaF1y59Ewjz -p c=BTC,d=2,decred

it was hard for me to wrap my head around it all initially;  but my profitability hasn't taken a hit during the last bit;  only when my machine was getting stuck on groestl nearly all day.

honestly some parts dont make sense for sure;

but when I was mining strictly decred;  I didn't notice any issues with it payment-wise.

Sucks when things like this surface when crack leaves town...

But I believe hes been adding coins and algos to the pool at an alarming rate the last few weeks.

how much did the 25 decred exchange for at that moment it sold?

are you basing your math off the incorrectly reported numbers given on the frontend?

see what im getting at?  If you are calcing off the misreported values, the math will be off.   so.... ok.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: May 07, 2016, 04:03:01 AM
any coin's math seem off here, i checked several algos, the same pattern

read the last few pages.... i suggest the whole thread....

Its an error in the web front end.

Heres a metaphor:
It's like your atm telling you you are only receiving a fraction of what you are, but if you look in your cellphone app all your cash is there.
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: May 06, 2016, 12:35:54 PM
im imagining the perfect upgrade... allthough i doubt it would be easy.... and I know there would be side effects that are potentially good and bad.

so.... If the server could know how much hashrate in each algo it has on tap; via the normalization input in the password field...

What if when TTF or share amount is greather than the time to the last block found;  the server transfers a somewhat good amount of hashrate to that algo to find that next block asap.... then send those exact miners back to where they were before it needed to happen once a block is found.

How well do you think this will help stabilize coin generation and maximize profitability?  Any potential negative impacts of this type of system?

Just a thought Wink  I guess insomnia is good for some things.   Helps you think.
2179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hardware Sales Tax bought outside of U.S.A on: May 05, 2016, 05:12:42 PM
If they mark the slip in BTC for value;  doesnt it suddenly change the game as far as taxes go?   Kind of a funny thought.

But;  Id sucker up and pay the tax.  It's avoidable by not ordering in, or doing cash business.   Kinda sucks how the world works, and how they try and take every little bit of everything from you that they can.
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: May 05, 2016, 01:38:34 PM
theres something odd about myr-gr and groestl that are causing my miner which is normalized to my hashrates...   It should be mining X15 and other algos, but is rarely switching to the others and its on myr-gr almost all day.  When I do the spot math on the different algos;  it normally is where it should be;  but recently since adding the new algos, its been getting stuck on them and my profitability graph shows the losses.

I have so far removed groestl, neoscrypt (for personal reasons), and myr-gr from my multi algo list....   Next attempt I think is to reduce my normalization by the factor my total share was off by and see if it still locks me on that algo.

For reference here is the full ring of algos and the batch file that my Asus GTX980 OC supports:
