2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A month of WAR on: April 13, 2022, 11:43:24 PM
The direct impact of cryptocurrencies on the war after a month:

Ukraine’s Crypto Donations Reach the $100 Million Mark

If it wasn't for cryptocurrencies, a big portion of that money wouldn't make its way to help ukrainian military forces and civilians, so Satoshi Nakamoto has also a kind of participation on this whole process, thankfully.

It means crypto is helping Ukraine to resist for longer and to feed and warm citizens who are losing their houses on russian attacks.

How much do you think Ukraine is going to collect through cryptocurrencies in another month of war?

This is new learning for Ukraine and even for the world. Everyone has seen how easy it was to donate to a country where physical access was too much difficult in times of war.
I am sure, Ukraine realizing the importance of crypto, will make this a permanent means to collect funds for months to come because, after the war, they would be needing even more money to rebuild their cities.
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktop wallet vs Mobile wallet on: April 13, 2022, 11:24:23 PM
Between mobile and a desktop wallet which one do you prefer the most and why? Again I think desktop wallets have more open source wallets than mobile, which desktop wallet is the best open-source wallet that you know of?

Well, if you ask me then the best wallets are the hardware wallet where your crypto is secure. However, if you need to know between the desktop and hardware wallet, i will recommend you to go for the desktop wallet. Usually, the desktop wallet has more features than the mobile wallet.
Also since we keep our mobile always with us, i don't feel comfortable carrying my mobile wallet everywhere (as mobile can easily be stolen or lost).
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEBATE] Are meme coins ruining cryptocurrencies? on: April 13, 2022, 11:10:10 PM
Yes, they have negatively impacted the blockchain industry. Now there so many and useless projects calling themselves doggy, mojjy etc and have no use whatsoever. But i think with time they would be filtered out. Some people are going to loose investments in them and then learn it the hard way but most intelligent users would stay away from such projects.

Meme coins are not ruining the cryptocurrencies but they are certainly ruining the people's money. People invest in meme coins to make money quickly but most of the time we see that people are stuck in such coins. There is usually a hype that makes its price rise and once the hype is over the coins dump fast, giving many investors a big loss.
2164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 13, 2022, 03:38:58 PM
I don't think the OP's offer contains an actual offer to sell his house. Just look at the number of his alternative accounts, some of which have a negative mark. Just take a close look at his neutral review. Therefore, according to a review in one of his accounts, the OP is famous for his love of creating topics that are far from reality.
But yes, in the country of Indonesia, I do not think that this "proposal" will be of interest to many.

Usually people do not buy things which are of high value through cryptocurrencies.

I also agree to this that OP has no intention to sell his home. The topic could have been created to get some merits as people appreciate if you buy/sell using bitcoins.

2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Cautious and take Caution. on: April 13, 2022, 02:51:39 PM
With the recent Russia/Ukraine invasion, the Ukrainians asked for help accepting bitcoin and other form of donations.
Having know, Scammers are taking chance of this moment to invade as well, it's best someone we all be guided and not fall as victims to this.
Five minutes of your time can lead to an hour, please be guided in this times.
You could share to your pals, I felt I should share this. People are lossing funds!! I'm no expert at privacy of coins buh take caution and be Cautious.
Thanks X

Ukraine's government has shared an official bitcoin / Ethereum address where one should send the donation. Now if the scammers ask for donations on their own crypto addresses, then we should not send them to any other address. But unfortunately, people are so innocent that they feel sympathy for everyone who ask for donations and scammer play emotionally to fool people.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: April 13, 2022, 12:22:51 PM
This is the reason why you need to avoid shitcoins and pick only Bitcoin if you want to start to invest on crypto space. After 13 years created, Bitcoin never ever scam anyone until now.
People who know well crypto investment must follow what you stated. Unfortunately, many beginners who don't have enough knowledge of crypto, are interested in the promotion of those shitcoins on varied social media. Sweet promises from shitcoins armies, lead many amateurs to buy at a nonsense rate. They always said that investing in those shitcoins will make you rich quickly, investing in Bitcoin needs a lot of time to gain profits.  Cheesy

Because a lot of these people are hoping that their initial investments will increase many folds. This is why they want to invest in like pump and dump coins. But the risk is very high in this type of coin. If you want an assurance that your money won't disappear, better opt for bitcoin. These fraudsters are the reasons why noncrypto users have negative connotation when it comes to bitcoin or crypto. But for example, bitcoin itself is not a scam. It is the people who are using it to their own gain are scammers.

Where money is involved, the evil minded people will always be there to scam the innocent people.
Bitcoin and crypto is not a scam in themselves. People come out with attractive investment schemes and those scheme with unrealistic ROI tends to scam.  If you are cautious, you can be saved from many crypto scams.
2167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: April 12, 2022, 11:39:58 PM
Already the pressure tax can be seen on the volumes of mainly indian exchanges

The new law says 30% tax on all profits made and cannot be set off against any loss of other crypto

I guess Government motive as mentioned in the above post might be to mint money to cover covid related losses

Hope there will be some pressure from BIG exchanges on the Government and get the tax laws amended

I just wonder how many crypto users in India will be actually paying this high tax amount?

Most people will find ways to hide their crypto activities and they will least use the Indian exchanges. This law will only promote the black market and will discourage the use of crypto (probably this is the motive of the Indian government).
2168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: April 12, 2022, 11:22:52 PM
I'm wondering where exactly all those donations are going? Companies are donating millions and who exactly receive all those millions? I don't think that all donations are reaching those who needs them.

Where do you think these donation funds are going? For sure they are going to the Ukraine governments. The destruction in the UKraine is massive as most of the money is spent on the people and health. There is no development / repair of the buildings etc has started yet.
You can keep track of the Binance charity fund here.

2169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banking bitcoins will be work on: April 12, 2022, 11:07:52 PM
Nowadays bitcoin is connected with banking process. If bank not available. People can't change Bitcoin. So coming future it possible for changing this process. Kindly any one explain me. I need to know. Kindly support and give your adivoce. Nowadays banking is connected all country people and change the all country's currency.

You need to know that currently, we need banks to change bitcoins to fiat in order for us to use the money as bitcoin is not available everywhere for payments.
However, consider for a moment that the fiat money exists no more and people only deal in bitcoins. In this case, we do not need any banks to change the bitcoins to paper money and vice versa.
2170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba inu on: April 12, 2022, 04:20:09 PM
is it a joke or what?
i personally dont think that its a real deal to go up with.
Rumors that shiba inu is like bitcoin yet i dont see many websites using it. is there any earn-money site paying in shiba inu?
Personally, I was holding a big amount but now a day we see my balance if I Compair with usdt its too much decrease so I am confused about this token.

Unless and until there is some good stability and good momentum in bitcoin, there is no chance that shiba inu and other altcoins will pump. Since the bitcoin is dumping now a days, you will see more dump in altcoins. So, if you check the USD value of Shiba inu, you will find yourself in a big loss. One way to avoid selling in loss is to stop looking at your portfolio for some times, until market sentiments are changed from bearish to bullish.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Open Source] Ancient Beast - turn based strategy game on: April 12, 2022, 01:33:26 PM
Ancient Beast is a match based eSport, played 1vs1 or 2vs2, where each player starts with a Dark Priest, able to materialize from a wide variety of units with unique stats & abilities as the match progresses, in order to defeat foes.
Materializing units costs a limited resource called Plasma, which is also used to shield the Dark Priests from enemy attacks.

Can you explain the gaming model for Ancient Beast ? Do we have to invest money in order to play the game ? As i understand this that we need to have Plasma which can be any tool to play this game and probably one have to buy this ?
I would only be interest to play this game, if i do not have to invest in the game. These days, many play to earn games are not giving the desired returns.
2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest attending Bitcoin 2022 - April 6-9? on: April 12, 2022, 12:44:02 PM
It really is a personal choice. Conferences are not for everyone.

If i was at Miami, i would have joined the conference but it makes no sense to travel to a different country, spend a lot of money in order to attend the conference. Also, the conference was covered live too on the internet.

The event will run from April 6-9 2022 in Miami and it is likely that only those with an interest will attend and take part.
The event will take place with dignitaries such as Adam Back, Michael Saylor, Nayib Bukele, Matt Odell, NVK, Jeff Booth, Saifedean Ammous, Alyse Killeen, Elizabeth Stark, Andrew Yang, Dr. the.

Your post suggests that this Bitcoin Conference will be held in 2022 but the fact is that the conference is already over as it was held from April 6 to 9.
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Wont Sell his Bitcoin on: April 11, 2022, 01:51:10 PM
I'm sure Elon Musk will not sell his bitcoins maybe Elon Musk will make news that he will sell bitcoins to lower the bitcoin price and when the bitcoin price drops he will buy it,

If you are a believer and holder of bitcoin, then do not take these tweets seriously, and more importantly do not take action on your crypto investment, based on these tweets only. People like Elon Musk tweets are to move the market in a certain direction and only the big whales and he himself wants to take the advantage of the bitcoin price movement. As you said, they will make us sell our bitcoins so that they can buy them cheaply.
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: April 10, 2022, 05:14:56 PM
For me, the only thing that prevents the adoption of BTC worldwide is the ignorance and fear that the media, governments and banks instill, just by saying that BTC is an asset that is very volatile and has no support. that they do not recommend because you know enough so that they do not do it.
banks and governments control the media and pay for the media to continue to spread fear about the dangers of investing in crypto and they even try to impose high taxes on crypto users. if this continues only time can help so that BTC adoption can happen because what you say is true, nowadays people are already looking for income from online and BTC is the best and wisest choice right now.

Media may be influential on people's decision of adopting and investing in crypto but the fact is that governments do not want that bitcoin and crypto is used by everyone.
If this happens they will lose control over the financial systems and the people in the government will never want this to happen.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A month of WAR on: April 07, 2022, 06:33:01 PM
A month got over on war between Ukraine and Russia. Here I would like to point out things that happened with bitcoin during this time period.

  • The market was moving around $39k and on the sudden invasion of Russian force into Ukraine the markets crashed close to $35k.
  • Coinbase paid a hacker $250k for saving a billions worth cryptocurrencies. If this has happened the market would've turned downwards further.
  • Western Nations decided to cut off Swift from Russia.
  • Once again eBay came with the plans of accepting bitcoin as payment, but this has been a story for long years.
  • Sanctions made over Russia and this time US asks cryptocurrency exchanges to follow the same rules of sanctions. The same is being requested by the Ukraine Vice Prime Minister.
  • Russian people started to use cryptocurrencies as a way to overcome the sanctions.
  • Visa and MasterCard stopped their services in Russia.
  • Women's Day event took place around the globe with different surveys detailed the increase of women into cryptocurrency.
  • Biden Signed the Crypto executive order which made the market progress to small extent.
  • A bitcoin address holding 489BTC got active after a 11.4 years.
  • Elon Musk made a tweet of holding bitcoin and ethereum, mentioned he won't sell it. This time his tweet didn't made any impact on the market.
  • Official announcement on receiving donation in terms of cryptocurrencies were posted by Ukraine Government. Until now more than $65million received.
  • Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law to officially legalize cryptocurrency.
  • Crypto.com is now an official sponsor for the FIFA.

Even more incidents took place during the same time period. If something to be added please post it, I'll add to the list.

Do you think that all these events are responsible for the bitcoin price movements ? I don't think that bitcoin sole depends upon the fundamentals. These are only the news which the whales and institutions takes in combination of lots of other factors to derive the market in certain direction. The mission is always the same, whales/institutions and exchanges to make more money from the retailers.
2176  Economy / Economics / Re: Thailand ban using crypto for payments on: April 07, 2022, 01:09:56 PM
Actually government don't want to down the banking system. In a country, all the people are not educated and well known to crypto. Payment system in digital method is useful but it will need more time. Banning of Bitcoin isn't good news for crypto lovers.
its step back from technology adoption if banning cryptocurrency , meanwhile alot benefits from this market beside crypto tax itself. allowing citizen access or having transaction into crypto create alot job opportunity which economicly will decrease unemployment in that country. Traditional banking system should worry  with crypto , if they could adopt it alot cost efficiency will happen.

There should be a valid reason for the government of Thailand to stop using bitcoin as a payment method. The banking sector won't be closed if bitcoin payments are allowed as both fiat and crypto can run side by side for another decade or so. Therefore, banning bitcoin to save the banks is only a lame excuse.
Thailand is known for its tourism and if tourists would have been allowed to pay in crypto, it would have been an added advantage.
2177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 07, 2022, 10:02:11 AM
It is interesting to think that because technology has accelerated so fast in the past couple of decades, something like bitcoin would have seemed futuristic or impossible in the 1970's and 1980's. That said, it is fairly easy to imagine a world of no Bitcoin if you can remember back 20+ years or more .

There were no bitcoins 20 years before and we could imagine the world without them only before their existence. Since the invention of bitcoins, it's impossible to live without them.

I can't imagine a world without bitcoin. What if someone says, imagine a world without the Internet and you will say that the world without the internet will be the end of the world. We cannot say the same for bitcoins, but those who are using bitcoin, for them it is like a horrible dream to think of a world without bitcoins.

2178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Charity Work on: April 07, 2022, 09:44:16 AM
Second Charity Work
I have also decided to make a free Bitcoin training for 30 youths from my locality and the focus of the crypto training will be on Bitcoin and how it operate with some other tools that will guide the participants through their Bitcoin journey.

Your advice suggestions are welcome on the second charity which is the training of young youths on blockchain Bitcoin education.

We usually think that donating money is the only form of charity while the truth is that if you can devote your time and spread your knowledge to other, free of cost, this is another form of charity.
I really appraise your efforts of using and helping your community by training 30 people. After completion of that training ask each of these thirty people to teach more people and this cycle will always continue.
2179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three thousand Bitcoin ATM Installed In first quarter Of 2022 on: April 07, 2022, 09:25:44 AM
Bitcoin adoption around the globe is increasing with time. The installation of 3000 more bitcoin ATMs are a proof for the same. Though there is regular installation of bitcoin ATM, it isn't possible to see the same diversified around the globe. Only in specific locations the bitcoin ATMs were getting installed. Maybe this need to get diversified beyond the first world countries where 90% of the bitcoin ATMs were installed.

Once we have more and more bitcoin ATMs installed in first world countries, there are higher probabilities that the under developed countries will follow the same practice. However, only those county can install these public ATMs where the government have no problem with these installations. If bitcoin is not legal in any country, there is no way we can see those machines in those countries. Making bitcoin legal in countries is the first major sign of bitcoin adoption.
2180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does one start on crypto? on: April 07, 2022, 02:54:35 AM
In order to earn income from crypto, at first need to do research and gain knowledge about it.  Then there are lot of sectors where you can make money.  If you are in the early stages of it, then you can make money by bounty and invest in different trading sectors.  You can see the details by going to the bounty section  => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

This is just one way of starting the journey in crypto if you do not have any funds. If you have some fiat money, which you can convert into bitcoin and altcoins, then that can be a much faster way to invest and start the journey in crypto. Another thing is from where ever you start it is your choice but make your you keep on learning new things in crypto. There is a lot to learn in cryptocurrencies if you are totally new in this field.
