At first when there's no news that Canelo and GGG will have their trilogy, I might say that this fight is a regular anticipated one just because GGG is also fighting but when the news came out that Canelo and him will have a trilogy. The fight becomes more interesting because we know that GGG has been calling this for years and now that he had the agreement, all he left to do is beat Murata so that the trilogy will become into reality.

Yeah, this fight added 10x of the hype because of the potential of GGG vs Canelo trilogy. But first fans and boxing pundits alike will have to see if GGG, even at his age can still pull the trigger. And this will be a big test for him. Murata is also a good champion so this fight is really going to be a war. Murata wanted to derail the fight of GGG against Alvarez and then GGG need to show something that h has a chance against Canelo but beating a tough fighter in Murata. Both Canelo and GGG have to upset their each respective opponents, this is a battle of champions before the trilogy will come into reality. Murata will do his best to defeat GGG as that will be the key to open his doors in this industry for more future fights. While GGG also needs this ticket for the upcoming trilogy with Canelo and Murata is a hinder that he needs to surpass with flying colors so that those doubts at him that he's already slowing down because of his age will stop for good and show that can still dance well with the prime Canelo. There is something you touch on when you talk, which are very sensitive points, about GGG's age and about Murata's desire to enter a world where he can eventually be a great King, on the other hand he is playing with emotions of an entire boxing fanatic, which is crying out for a fight between GGG vs. Canelo and both fighters at a sporting level, I imagine that they do want this match, but the mere fact that the organizers put them to fight with other opponents to warm up the atmosphere between these two, they are taking a lot of risk. Drake hadnt been forced to play on Stake until he was discovered that he's behind on a certain account which do spends big time on the platform which it would really be understandable
that Stake would grab out the opportunity on making him as a partner considering his fan base then that would really be giving out some good exposure on the site even more.

On my side, I have the Spurs +10.5 so same boat with you, I thought that I may have lost my bet when the Mavs started to pull in the 3rd quarter by more than 10 points. And then the Spurs slowly getting back in the game, putting a good comeback in the 4th and manage to cut the lead to single digits and then eventually it was just a 10 point winning margin by the Dallas. What a great luck, same with you. I am also in the impression that Mavs will pullover after that 3rd quarter run. Good thing that Spurs didn't give up and continue to try cutting that lead, sad to say that Mavs is more offensive and even coach continue to rotate players, whoever inside still providing and doing their shares, they didn't give any chance for the Spurs to rally and win this game from them. Terrence Crawford is a free agent. After his fight with Shawn Porter I thought he would sign with DAZN right away. Official DAZN fb page was posting a lot of Crawford pictures congratulating his victory over Porter while there was zero PBC or Showtime post. And DAZN is obviously the richest boxing network right now. But lately, there are rumors circulating that PBC is offering Crawford a deal. First he fights Danny Garcia and then later he can have Spence. I am curious though, why the need for Crawford to fight Danny Garcia first before Spence. Crawford is turning 36 next year, not a prime age anymore. So I am still hoping Ugas can pull an upset this weekend. Well, it seems that you got it right! Murata only lasted 9 rounds and he can already barely fight on the 7th round and only managed to defend himself even if his defense is breaking bit by bit because GGG is really looking to knock him down and produce a KO victory. GGG still have those capabilities we discussed, he proved it today against the Japanese boxer! Murata's camp threw a towel when he knocked down and ended the fight with a TKO.
GGG has shown his power - no doubt he is more powerful that Murata. Earlier I though since Murata is young he has amazing speed so he can win - undercard proved me wrong. Murata was able to punch GGG lots of times during the early rounds. He can keep up with GGG or maybe, the latter just testing Murata and gives those early rounds for him. Later on in the fight, GGG now shows his destructive power and Murata can't do something about it. In the end, GGG got the 9th round TKO. His camp concedes at the 9th round and accepts that GGG is too much for their Murata. That's how powerful GGG is even at 40 years old. I just don't know if he can show the same strength once he face a much younger Canelo in September. As expected, Murata will be the aggressor on the early rounds and try to wear down GGG but he failed as he's the one who gassed out first and his defense is slowly getting weaker as every round goes by. Like you said, I'm also thinking that maybe GGG let Murata do it and didn't tried to finish him earlier because he is still testing him about his capabilities. The last day of the NBA regular season is upon us. Not too much to be excited for today. Joel Embiid will likely win the scoring title over LeBron James unless he plays and scores no points today. That’s probably the only thing to watch. TNT will be televising 2 games. Celtics vs Grizzlies and Warriors vs Pelicans. Can’t say I’ll be watching either, but I’m looking forward to the playoffs starting. We won’t get the Nets bs Lakers matchup in the finals I was hoping for, but I’m looking forward to seeing LaMelo in the play-in tourney and hoping Ben Simmons and Kawhi Leonard make postseason appearances.
The expectation for Kawhi Leonard to be back is so high after the game against the Sacramento Kings. It's a long playoffs and maybe he could but the commentator doesn't want to give hopes to anyone. Win the play-in is their first goal and who knows if he could return while they are keeping up. They have Norman Powell now, I think that's great news. A big addition to their firepower which they lack as Reggie Jackson became on and off in his shooting percentage. As for Ben, mental health issues, back problem, more drama. What could be next?!  His fans and the people have really missed him seeing in the court playing but the good thing is that he still not ruled out for the rest of the season, so if the Clippers can survive the play-in tournament then maybe we can see Kawhi Leonard again this season, he is still progressing the rest of the team is very optimistic that he could really return this season. Ben Simmons?  Brooklyn Nets have said that they're looking forward to see him in the first round of the playoffs. Just like when we are discussing a GGG vs Canelo Trilogy even if they still have an upcoming fight, well in the case of GGG, he already win his fight against Murata.

Latest update: Ryan Garcia is back via unanimous decision win against Tagoe, not the kind of fight that we want to see, we want an explosive Garcia and knock out Tagoe but Ryan is having a hard time because Tagoe is always on the run and hugging Ryan I like it better this way Ryan shows aggressiveness and endurance it's hard to chance a fighter who is running away, Tagoe is a big disappointment on this fight. The scorecards are in. Judges Tom Carusone and Ellis Johnson both score the bout 119 to 108, while Lisa Giampa has it a tad closer at 118-109, all in favor of Garcia.
Fighting for survival, that's what on Tagoe's mind going into the fight. Ryan is bigger than him and has heavy hands so we can't blame Tagoe for fighting scared. With DAZN handling his career now, I hope that they will maximize his potential and not rush him with a championship fight at this stage of his career. They are both already past their prime.
That one I do not agree with for GGG, he has not lost a fight since 2019, in fact, his only loss is against Canelo who is a great fighter and that one was still controversial until now, so I think there's no basis for calling GGG has passed his prime. Just for the record, there's a period when we called a boxer in his prime or not. At around 39 to 40 years of age, it should be obvious that we can call a boxer out of his prime. Don't get me wrong, being out of their prime doesn't mean they are truly weak. It's just that, don't expect their performance will be the same as during their prime. Don't tell me you still consider GGG in his prime? If GGG will be able to win against Murata, it does mean he is still in good shape but we can't consider it as a win during his prime. His 2019 fight is remarkable because he was already in a veteran period at that time but still manage to put Canelo in a difficult fight. If only he meet Canelo during his prime, he will win it without a doubt. Good point and I admit that you're correct about that. I mean, that doesn't surely mean that GGG is already weak and will only experience defeats along the way because of the fact that he's already 40 years old and already not on his prime. Who knows things will be change when he is on nets especially if he get proper support to his teammates and his coaches then he will got huge confidence to shot more better than when he is on sixers, But I believe Nets will not get a problem in that area since they already have quality shooters on their team and most provably they need Simmons defensive presence and passing to make their team more better.
I doubt there will be a change of his shooting on Simmons part. No need to do that as what Nets like him to do is to play on his usual and within his comfort zone. Let the shooting does with his teammates and he just needs to focus on his preferred skill. It's impossible for me to think that he's not getting full support from his former team. Shooting might not just be his main skill but his driving to the hoop and defense skill is one of the best in the league. He is a big contribution to the Nets team but we have to wait until next season before seeing him fully play as per the report, he won't play these playoffs/play-in for unknown reasons. These types of players really have to work on their pride management. I think you misunderstood what Steve Nash have said it. Ben Simmons is only ruled out in the remaining games of regular season and in the play-in tournament, he still have a chance to play in the playoffs if his injuries will be healed. However I agree on that part that you've said that Simmons should let his teammates to do the shooting and offensive tactics because they already got that part. What he needs to do is to be help in the assist his teammates to get an easier points and ofcourse his preferred skill which is chasing and defensive style. |

Bulls already losing some ground, Lavine and DeRozan are playing but it seems they have lost the momentum in their games and chemistry, losing 3 straight, 4-6 in their last 10 games and barely making it to the 6th spot in the East.
Let's get them in the playoffs, not sure what they are thinking, but if this is s real struggle then there's no reason to believe they'll pass the first round.
