1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 17, 2022, 02:08:42 PM
Their records are quite close with one another, I'm not even seeing Thurman's first loss as a disadvantage. Spence is still on a streak but I guess he's still the 'underdog' (only on my point of view) if this match is really happening. One reason is experience of Thurman wherein he fought against big names of boxing industry (well spence as well) but I don't know; there's something with Thurman's previous opponents not only with pacman, which made me a bit of his fan. More like Thurman is more of a solid puncher for me, compared to Spence who often boxes out 'coz he's more of a texbook fighter.

Would be really a great match up. Big respect to the champ still even if I'm a fan of Thurman. Both have advantages;different styles in the 'square'. This would be exciting for sure!

This fight has been ordered by the WBC and that reason alone is already sufficient to believe that this fight will push through but I'm thinking that Spence might just give Thurman a shot on the WBC belt and not all the three titles that Spence has been holding, there's a reason why and it goes way back when Spence was looking forward to be a challenger of the WBA belt that Thurman held at that time, but he was denied. Not sure about this because I cannot find any article or story that can verify Spence's claim.

Anyway, fate made them to cross each other's path again and this time it's almost inevitable, just waiting for the final announcement regarding their match-up. This will be a good fight because Keith Thurman does have a good chance against Errol Spence, this will be fun.

though we will expect that spence will be the favourite here when it comes to odds. but for those rooting with thurman as for sure, he will seriously prepare on this fight, would be good to place bet as the odds will be good, may be 2x or more. we will see on this fight also if thurman is ready on this comeback and if he can fight big names to get a place again on this sports.

No doubt! The bookies will judge the boxer's recent fights and performance before they display it for the bettors and because of that, Spence will be the favourite to win as he came from an outstanding win from Ugas while Thurman will be the underdog as he have just returned recently and defeated one tune-up fight from being inactive for quite a long time. That being said, Thurman's odds will be juicy and might differ greatly from Spence's.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2022, 12:30:31 PM
Portland is victorious again and remains in the lead in the western conference. Boston leads the Eastern Conference. If there is no serious injury this season, it seems that the championship will pass between these two teams. For me, Boston is one step ahead. Boston performed well, winning their last 7 games. The team is in great shape. The Ime Udoka incident doesn't seem to have had a negative impact on the team.

I understand what you're saying but I think it is still too premature to make some predictions on who will be facing in the Finals soon, even if both mentioned teams are still healthy, no one can guarantee it. Moreover, let's expect the unexpected because there will be a lot of things that might happen soon like some trades that can alter a team's fate and there are teams in the league that are still on the adjusting and recovering phase.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 16, 2022, 04:55:19 PM
I'd say it is not possible in that given time, 6 months is not enough. It is said that Canelo Alvarez just came from a surgery from the injury in his wrist that he sustained while preparing for Bivol and things got worst after his fight with Bivol. That said, his camp is expecting a long lay-off and Canelo might be back somewhere in the 3rd or 4th quarter in the year 2023, but it is not guaranteed that he will face Bivol right after because his camp might give him a tune-up fight first.

As for Canelo's chances against Bivol, it's still the same and hasn't improve even a bit. It was too clear that Canelo is not built for the natural guys in the Light-heavyweight division. Bivol is his limits, he just got lucky from that Kovalev fight.

Oh.. I was unaware of this injury issue. So that means that the rematch may not happen as planned, at least not on May 2023. From what I heard, Canelo has a torn cartilage in his left wrist, and he underwent surgery to take care of that. Now this is a serious injury, and I don't really expect any action from him for Q1 and Q2 2023. And he will be in recovery and rehabilitation mode and therefore I don't expect much for Q3 2023 as well. BTW, I agree with your assessment that Canelo should stay out of Light heavyweight division.

Canelo could've activated that rematch right away after Bivol's victory as it came to light that there's a delay before the latter can participate a unification fight, but he just cannot do anything for now because of his current situation and his still on the process of recovering and under rehabilitation. Safe to assume that we may hear from Canelo's side regarding the rematch somewhere 2nd quarter next year.

Quote
BTW, I agree with your assessment that Canelo should stay out of Light heavyweight division.

He should've but now it's too late because he started the war already, it's still best to make the fight happen while he can still take advantage of the money he could get on their rematch. He doesn't have any reasons to worry anymore because he doesn't have anything to lose either.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 16, 2022, 04:18:02 PM
Naoya Inoue is known as Japan's Bruce Lee for a reason.

A true martial arts fanatic.  He is crazy about boxing and knows all the intricacies of this martial art.  I really like his fighting style.  He throws most of his punches with his front hand.  The fist moves along a minimal trajectory, and the enemy is forced to constantly be on the defensive.

Naoya is an absolutely unpredictable boxer.  He constantly changes his fighting style, and this terrifies all his opponents.  But they do not have time to really get scared (because they get a terrible blow to the body and they no longer have time to feel fear).

It will be very difficult for Butler to box with such a strong opponent.

Not just in Japan alone, he is also the Bruce Lee in the boxing industry with monstrous strength that by far, only Nonito Donaire have managed to put him on edge but then he keeps on evolving as time goes by and have managed to master both offense and defense. So, that makes him more unpredictable aside from constant changes in his fighting style, and that scares his future foes because they will need to make an expensive mistake just to figure out Inoue's style and weakness. By that time that they know, Inoue already defeated them, that's how terrifying this monster is. I bet the champions in the super-bantam are already worried because they are about to face a tough challenger.

Yes, after that experienced against the Pinoy flash he evolves a lot and continue in enhancing his skills,
the IQ that he has makes him more unpredictable.

He can adjust while fighting something that his opponent will be hard to box him, with his strong combination and the perfect
timing of his speed Butler's chance of winning is too slim.

We are just waiting for the date and for Inoue to complete his chase in holding all the belts in his division.

Inoue made Donaire as a motivation to mature and develop his skills to become much stronger in his next fights because the aging Donaire managed to push him in corner, so he thinks that he should improve because he cannot cement his legacy if he'll be predictable.

Now, as we saw him in his recent fight, he's already different and much agile than he is before. Even the Flash cannot predict nor read his movements and only knew the attack the moment he already suffered it. Anyway, the fight is nearing its schedule, I'm just excited on Inoue's post-fight statements regarding his move.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 16, 2022, 09:39:36 AM
I am really not a fan of exhibition match since most boxer who does this do it for the money, take Mayweather and Logan Paul for instance. If you retire from boxing keep it as it is, stop for good and stop going back just to make some money. Not to mention most of it are scripted.

Just because you are not fun of the exhibition match, you will stop them from making money?  If you don't like exhibition matches, there is always an option to avoid them.  Besides no one is forcing us to watch an exhibition match.

I believe Exhibition matches is a good thing for retired boxers, first, it is one way of making money.  They can further sustain their old age since  they will have more funds in their pocket.  Second, many fans wanted to see their idols box again and is willing to pay just to make their wish happen,

That's right! You're rights to avoid watching their exhibition fight is the same exact right they are also exercising to make fights while they can still market the fight because of their fame. Nobody is forcing us to watch them or at least show some sympathy just because they are doing fights, moreover, it's already expected that some of them will still return in the spotlight even if they are already retired. Just let them be mate, and I expect that you won't watch Pacquiao's return because you said yourself that you're not a fan of exhibition fights.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 16, 2022, 09:10:24 AM
^ Yes, that's the thing when fighters are under contract, in this case Spence under PBC. He can't do anything if the management says that he needs to fight boxer A. So even if he doesn't want to, for sure he will be force to fight Thurman next as they have been mandated.

As of now, Spence is still blaming Crawford for their fight not happening.

And with that, both fighters now have move on, they will have their own schedule fight. Not sure though if the doors is still open for another set of negotiations if they win their respective fights as Crawford make it public as what is the reasons.

I think you mean Crawford's blaming Spence including Al because they are the main factors on why the unification fight suddenly become hard and impossible for Crawford. Well, it's understandable that Spence cannot do anything because Crawford was in that same situation too when he was still with Bob Arum. I just pity Crawford because he waited long enough to the point that he was already inactive for a year, and this is what he received.

Yes, but still though, you can sense that Spence is not going to accept it in public that they are the reasons for this falling out.

Crawford recognized that he can't make the fight with Bob, and so he decided not to sign the contract. And yet why the fight didn't still happen? They said Top Rank and PBC are not in good terms, unfortunately even if Crawford is no longer with Top Rank and try to negotiate himself in the fight, PBC tries everything in their power to not just give him a fair deal, but stall the fight multiple times since May.

Just show how powerful Al Haymon is in the business of boxing. Powerful enough to not push the fight in one of the biggest in 147 lbs in recent years. And it seems to me that Spence Jr have been sort of brainwashed that he didn't need Crawford to be great or a legend. But we think otherwise.

Maybe the camp of Spence and Al Haymon will be silent about that issues until it settles down. But that is a sign that somewhat what Crawford says in public is true as they are not refuting it at all.

Being silent did not helped their situation at all because that way, they are just feeding the people information they needed that they are indeed the ones who ducked and needs to be blamed on why the fight did not happen. Spence may think that Al just wants to help him and preserve his status but sooner or later, he will find himself in the same shoes as Crawford because he risk with the chance to cement his legacy when he had the chance.

Yes, until now they are still playing dumb amidst the issues and I'm sure they will do that until the situation cools down while taking another route to keep themselves busy rather than facing the issues thrown at them. Meanwhile, Spence is now taking Thurman next and it's a money fight again but still interesting to see because Thurman proved us that he still got the skills to face the biggest names in his division including Errol Spence.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2022, 08:50:13 AM
As long as Joel Embiid is healthy and plays like that, I'll see Philadelphia as a serious contender. He is doing incredible work and elevating his team. A few games later, Sixers will be back in the play-off spot. I haven't seen a team that stands out so much this season. Boston and Milwaukee are in similar level as Philly. In the Western Conference there is no team that stands out much. It looks a little more balanced there. I was expecting a fall in Golden State but what happened to Lakers? They fell off worse than I expected. LeBron should go to a better team to chase another championship.

Yes, as long as Embiid will still be playing healthy with the Sixers, they will be fine as their big man numerously proved that he can do almost all the work to bring the team to a win plus there's Maxey and Harden. They will remain a heavy team and a threat to the others.

About the Lakers, well, there's not much interesting for them as of now as they are just winning every after 5 consecutive defeats, but they sure do hope that their AD is as healthier as Embiid of Sixers and not an injury magnet. Aside from that, they are still struggling to be consistently in-synch and their defense is not that fine as well, they won't reach far if there's no improvement from them.

For those who are interested on the results of the Floyd Mayweather vs social media star Deji Olatunji, it was a 6th round stoppage of the schedule 8th rounds.

Quote
Referee Kenny Bayless stepped between them late in the sixth round to stop the bout because Mayweather landed unanswered punches.

The Hall-of-Fame fighter danced between rounds, laughed and joked during much of the two-minute rounds and clearly wasn’t worried about anything Olatunji threw back at him. Whenever inclined, Mayweather landed at will on Olatunji’s body and head.

Mayweather opened up on Olatunji as soon as the sixth round started, when he finally felt like knocking out Olatunji.

https://www.boxingscene.com/floyd-mayweather-toys-with-youtuber-deji-olatunji-stops-him-6th-round-exhibition--170446

And so easy win and money for Floyd, maybe another Japanese at the end of the year for him?

We will have to wait for Pacquiao's exhibition match this December though and then after that he has a schedule as well next year.

This doesn't surprise me anymore and I stopped following his future fights because it's not that interesting anymore because his fights are just pure business without any entertainments. The thing that surprises me the most is how is this guy getting more fights each year? And it seems that there are still rich businessmen out there who are willing to pay Mayweather's extravagant fee in exchange of fighting their famous fighters, that is not even near Mayweather's caliber or at least can make the fight a little interesting.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 15, 2022, 02:25:40 PM
Canelo should forget that burden and the pressure to get revenge because his chances are still the same, slim, in any given divisions. He cannot do nothing about it because Bivol already proved how hard can he be as an opponent. It's best to take advantage of the situation while he's still hyped against Bivol, rather than risking what he got in 168 lbs.

I heard that Canelo is planning to take on Bivol in around 6 months from now (May 2023). Is this confirmed? Recently there was a statement from Julio Cesar Chavez, who is one of the legends in boxing. It was more like an advice, rather than a statement. He warned Canelo to stay clear of Bivol. As per Chavez, Canelo has zero chance of beating Bivol and I agree with his assessment. And look at the way in which Bivol destroyed Zurdo. Do you guys really believe that Canelo would be able to stand up to this giant? LOL.. Bivol is more like a machine rather than human.

I'd say it is not possible in that given time, 6 months is not enough. It is said that Canelo Alvarez just came from a surgery from the injury in his wrist that he sustained while preparing for Bivol and things got worst after his fight with Bivol. Congrats to those who win last night, I intentionally skip in my betting, just to reset and take a rest.

I'm looking at the Kings and Nets game, Kings is a revelation this season, they have the advantage of having a rest while the Nets are into a back to back and coming from a lost. So I will bet early -2.5 and then just look for other games and bet live.

Yes, congrats to them Grin My bet didn't go through because I rode with the Bucks and took the leap even if Giannis was probable to play but then I found out that he played that's why I thought my bet got better chances. Unfortunately, that didn't help the situation at all. Live betting is much safer these days because the league has been so unpredictable.

That said, I will try my luck tomorrow betting live. Good luck guys!

1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 15, 2022, 12:58:50 PM
How about Joel Embiid putting up the best stat line of the year so far last night. He got 59 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 blocks. A monster night. He also scored 26 of the 76ers final 27 points. He did it all while shooting 19 of 28 from the field. They’re saying it was a Wilt Chamberlin style stat line. Not bad.

Joel Embiid now joined Wilt Chimberlain and Michael Jordan in record books, he's been so consistent lately and he must be proud to himself as the only Sixers in history to do that and made a 40+ points triple double.

Quote
Just yesterday I was reading that the 76ers were trying to work a deal to get Durant to Philly…

I've read that article too, but I think that it is far from reality. The Sixers won't destroy their current system just to add Durant and his kind of play in their equation, that will take some time again before they can stand up again, and it's proven that Durant with Harden is not a good idea, other than that, they can't probably meet the Nets request in exchange for KD.

Buy when others are fearful Wink Currently, the Fear & Greed index is at 22 (Extreme Fear) and many of the crypto assets are undervalued (meaning the RSI14 is below 30). Take the bear market as buying opportunity and sell when everyone else is buying.
Whales and old investors did this and were perhaps happy when there is panic selling happened in the market as in this way, they make money from them. This is not the thing it appears to the mind of a doubtful investor but absolutely full of worries and negativity. As long as there are people who are weak and never understand the market volatility, this will have a no-ending story and we keep seeing a high Fear index.

Well, the reality is that;
some are selling at low prices and whales are catching them.

I believe market is about to fall more BTc can hit around 10-12k alot of FOMO had already been created first being Gala TRX and now with FTX these Week is just really bearish although with time Crypto is losing it's trust for investing even we can't trust anyone Centerlized wallet are also not safe their are alot of news like Hack and stuff like that
The Total Volume in the Market are keep Decreasing the Asian country are just Hurting the Crypto by implementing taxes Inflation is on all time high right now
Maybe you are right but I don't think it is all about FOMO because the current economic situation has also a huge influence on us.
I was already prepared for the possible drop and makes me not worry. However, we couldn't neglect to see the rise of panic selling because at the moment that Bitcoin will drop more, emotions and negativity will tend to rise as well bringing to such market events and big sell-off. May the trust will get affected for new investors but for us who have been here  in crypto for many years, this is not surprising anymore and we are willing to hold.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: November 13, 2022, 09:32:54 PM

Cryptocurrencies are inherently risky, but not all new projects are bad, and there are hidden gems in them.

Experience is the best teacher in life, we rely on experience, analyze often and choose to invest in new projects selectively, to minimize the risk of loss of funds.
it's true that not all new projects are bad and there are bound to be hidden gems in them. but we still have to be careful if we want to enter and invest in a new project, because the project is still at risk of scammers and will most likely fail to develop if the manager or developer is not effective when running it.

I myself, if I want to invest in a new project, always observe and find out who the holder or developer of the project is good and reliable.

Considering the team identities can be faked as well. So relying on upon doesn't guarantee your safety. There are a lot of ways scammers do to scam people and this is one way they did, and also a reason why many investors fall into their hands. This could tell us that investing in new projects is riskier than investing in old projects that already have community support and trade volume as they are likely to sustain from market competition. Plus, the devs/team have still working on it to improve more.

^Congrats Dave!

I trusted the strong teams Mavs and Pelicans while they are down in the 4th quarter with 8 minutes left. Luckily, they made it through.
Took the ML bet and I won both games.

Spencer Dinwiddie got hot in the last minutes of the game and made three consecutive three-pointers to take the lead and bury the Trail Blazers with a 3 possession game.
Luka ended the game with a triple-double. 42pts/13reb/10ast

Nice betting odds, if that was a parlay bet, it would be better but anyway you already won, a win is a win, so congrats. Luka ended with a triple-double is not a big surprise, he is playing with a high level, looks like he want to dominate so he will win his first MVP. Dallas also had improve as a team now, their inside and outside are pretty much impressive.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 13, 2022, 11:28:31 AM
Ok, but I think it will be suicide for him to make 168 lbs and just 'bow' down on the pressures from Canelo's camp for them to have the fight in super middleweight.
This is not a big deal. He can do it. If Canelo can go on peak so he can also do and easily beat him. By the way this will be more difficult for him but there is the chance and he has ability too.

If anyone is going from low to heavy so he can easily can achieve the goal. Smiley

It's a make or break for Bivol, if he is going for greatness,

a, beat Canelo as his best weight, 168 lbs and took his belt
b, Bivol inserting himself into the picture, p4p list
c, Canelo will be in lose-lose situation, if he win and beat Bivol, his critics will say that he weight-drain Bivol to super middleweight.

So it's up to Bivol at this point, 168 lbs or 175 lbs, he will surely looking for greatness in his career.

Well, hopefully it's gonna happen because Canelo is a celebrity and if Bivol will beat him again, that will make him popular as well. There should be a rematch, but I'm pretty sure Bivol will still dominate, it seems like Canelo had already had a Kryptonite and that is Bivol.

Sorry to be the bearer of a bad news, I know that we are all excited and inclined that whoever wins in Beterbiev-Yarde fight will face Dmitry Bivol next for the undisputed title fight.

But, it seems that a unification fight in the light-heavyweight division won't happen anytime sooner because the WBC do have another plan to whoever will win in Beterbiev-Yarde fight.

Quote
At the WBC’s 60th annual convention in Acapulco, Mexico, on Tuesday, they announced that the winner of Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde would be ordered to fight number one contender, Callum Smith.
https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1241376/wbc-winner-artur-beterbiev-vs-anthony-yarde-ordered-fight-callum-smith/

But here's an another twist! Before Anthony Yarde will get his title shot against Artur Beterbiev next year, he should first face another contender named Stefani Koykov on a 10-round bout this coming November 19, this year. Surely, I didn't expected that!

That is a bummer of news, but all we have to do is wait eagerly for it to happen for me Dmitry Bivol VS Artur Beterbiev is one big fight many fans are eagerly waiting and they should not let that slip, this is going to be one big fight many will surely watch and a big income to take when both fighter clash, both undefeated and both have a style that could surely win over the other, but who is the more technical and more superior inside the ring, there are many questions that are why it should be answered inside the ring,

Yes, all we can do now is to wait for that unification, maybe 3rd quarter next year because Beterbiev is scheduled to fight Yarde January 2023. That said, Bivol will be vacated for quite some time, so he might have his own title defense again while waiting for the winner of Beterbiev-Yarde fight. And I just want to reiterate that Beterbiev is not on his prime anymore and will be turning 38 this coming January, so I dearly hope that we will see a unification fight much sooner without any delay.

And that injury could be a sign that he might be slipping already, as his body is not taking that beating at least.

But let's see, I think it will favor Yarde even more if he has like a tune up fight first before taking on Beterviev. He just have to win that fight that's it and then set up the biggest paycheck of his career.

However, the fight that we all have been waiting is Bivol vs Beterviev, but it might not happen as usual because of boxing politics.

Could be, but still Beterbiev is not the kind of man that you can underestimate because that will be your end for sure, it's still best for Yarde to finish his fight with this Koykov first and then make sure he will be ready for fighting a monstrous man. Beterbiev is already near his 40's but the man can still knock his opponent down.

Anyway, about this unification of Bivol and Beterbiev or Yarde, I hope that it will still happen even if there's a huge stumbling block. If ever Beterbiev will win, there might be some problems tho because Bob won't surely want Hearn's company to be touching anything. Bob already said that, the fight will only happen on ESPN alone if incase they want a discussion to make the fight happen.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2022, 07:23:48 AM

It appears like the Atlanta Hawks is on rhythm once again. After a 3-win streak, then defeated by Jazz, but now they got a win again versus the 76ers.
Their big challenge to start a win streak again will be Bucks and Celtics.

As of the moment, they are a strong playoffs team and surely will gonna be a problem in the NBA playoffs if they remained to play such a high-level performance. As of now they are in the top 4 and strongly keeping that rank by defeating competitive teams in the league. That's right! if they can show that they can defeat these next teams with their current strategy, they will gonna make them play hard in the NBA playoffs this season. Both are Eastern Conference teams which is more likely we will see a preview of what would gonna happen when they face each other in the playoffs.

If they can beat both Boston and Bucks in regular season might be possible that they will face them in the next round,
it's tough to say since it's still in the early stage of this season.

Everything can happen especially upsetting the heavy favorites or maybe just like how Boston surprises the fans last
season when they win a lot after the All-Star.

Let see if how Hawks will execute the plays when facing the heavy favorites in the East sides.

That's right! I remember that the Celtics wasn't in the radar last season or at least not viewed that they will be a threat in chasing the seats in the playoffs but they suddenly appear out of nowhere, and if I recall it correctly, they managed to get #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Even the Bulls last season, they are expected to be in the playoffs already and giving a hard time in the other teams but that didn't happen.

Point is, it is still too early to judge who will qualify or not because the heavy teams tend to start late. Let's just enjoy the games now and watching the young stars carrying their respective teams.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 11, 2022, 05:34:16 PM
It was said that Stanionis and Ennis will be among the undercard, they will definitely be watching who deserves to fight Spence when he wins against Thurman.

Terrence is to fight Avanesyan by Dec this year. You can view this as a tuneup fight but the organization may also want to confirm if Terrence still has the punching power to defeat Spence. If it's the case, we'll not see Spence vs Crawford until he's near 40.

Oh, yeah? Then that's much better because both Ennis and Spence's side will see what they're made of and considering Ennis on paper and performance, he's the type of boxer that shouldn't be messed around because I heard he's touted as the next Terence Crawford and I don't doubt that at all. As for this fight, Spence should have no problem in defeating Thurman, not underestimating him but we already saw Thurman's limit. Hopefully we could see a much more interesting fight in welterweight next.
