2161  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: UK ONLY - Selling BTC via GBP Bank Transfer. Min 5BTC/order. @GOX Midprice (GBP) on: June 28, 2013, 10:55:44 AM
For public disclosure I have bought some more BTC from stereotype.

I paid with UK Bank Transfer - currently the funds have left my account but are subject to security checks -- I called the bank with stereotype did not receive the payment promptly.

Will update when the payment etc goes through and BTC are released.

Agree post. Spoke to my bank also, who said 'security checks' would not be dealt with in this way considering a payment was made yesterday without problems. She did say, its possible an algorithm picked it up BECAUSE a payment was made yesterday, but went on to say this is set up differently for each organization.

So will keep refreshing BB.  Sad

So, why is eASIC that important? And why is our partnership with them just ACE?

1) Fast Turnaround ASICs
eASIC uses a specific manufacturing process for quick chip delivery, that only relies on customizing the metal layer of the chip. All other layers are EQUAL on all their chips, for any other client, they use a structured ASIC approach.

What does this mean: It means wafers can enter production THE SAME DAY as we pay the NRE. THERE IS NO MASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"When it comes to device manufacturing and test, eASIC Nextreme-2 family takes only a fraction of the time of standard cell ASICs as only one via layer needs to be customized for each design. This means that wafer manufacturing can start much earlier and even during the design stage itself. The short manufacturing and test cycle enables designers to bring new products to market quickly and also rapidly develop derivative products to cater for changing market requirements."

2) easicopy ASIC migration

What does this mean: It means once we move our chip to that process, not only will it be faster, it will be cheaper and with less power requirements.

That was not the reaction i was expecting on the order books. Seems to be a stunned calm at the mo, not knowing what to make of it, and/or taking it in.  Huh

So those buying now on btct won't see any dividends for a year?? No way!!  Huh

no no, all the shares being sold on bitfunder and btc-tc are part of the 40mil shares that will always receive dividends. Of that 40million shares 50% is for IPO and 50% for growth and investment fund. the rest of the shares - 60mil (because 100mil is total amount of shares) - will only start receiving dividends when all the 40mil shares have got 0,0005 btc per share and 12months have passed.

this means that next year around april or may (dont remember exactly when IPO started) the dividends will drop 2,5x per share since 12months have passed and dividends will now be divided between 100 million shares and not 40 million as before.

the 60mil shares are the owner's shares and are not part of the ipo.

Thats your 3rd post since March? More posts like the above please.  Wink

ASICMINER volume slightly down.

From when lol ?

My time-frame.
2167  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 27, 2013, 03:27:31 PM
As more shares are bought logic dictates that AMC will have the funds in hand to cover what they want to accomplish. More shares bought, more confidence in the company.

Wishful thinking that share price will dip, but some have to lose so others can gain I suppose.

Isn't that what I said?

When AMC is almost selling out their shares at .0025, I suspect there will be selling in other securities to purchase AMC.

You could be right. So im testing this out with 4x PUT options i just purchased. B/E @ 3.325 with 1d 9h expiry.

Lets see if you/we are correct. If it comes good, where do i exit?

Tight window, but I think you're risk will be rewarded

Yes, too tight normally, but heres my trading logic:

ASICMINER ask orders around 300 shares currently to 4.00 (since in breached 3.00, the min/max has been 110/360 that ive noted).
ASICMINER recently released news that in my opinion, did not prick peoples interest much. Slightly negative sentiment creeping in, even.
ASICMINER volume slightly down.
The PUT price close to B/E now.
And for the very reason lewicki said. And for that reason, i think the expiry timing ties-in nicely. If it doesn't drop within that extra day Ive got, from the AMC news release, then the theory didn't happen. Thats not to say if it does drop during that window, it did work.....just could have got lucky, and we all need a bit of that from time to time.  Cheesy

All preorders on btct were filled for their chosen bids, someone got 1 share for 0.1 Tongue
I fully expect that person to show up here and complain about outrageous IPOs and the value drop of his investment...

that was probably just testing of some sort by burnside or ken himself

Needs to be removed, to stop the chart distortion.

Yup. Call me crazy, but I would gladly contribute to a fund to pay the expenses (fuel, food, accomodation) if any trusted member(s) of the forum are willing to go to AMC's facilities and do an independent, unbiased review.

500,000 shares purchased in that wall so far within 24 hours.

I expect after the announcement the rest of the shares will be eaten up within 48 hours.

These are exciting times for investors and even more exciting for AMC.

Will AMC be allowing investors to come and see their operation in the future? Springfield is only an hour away from some family so it may work out for me to be able to do so Smiley

I believe shareholders are actually invited to visit.
2172  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 27, 2013, 11:20:25 AM
Holy shit.  This IS getting a little interesting.

Hope Mr. Slaughter is prepared to release some more shares prior to his announcement.

At the current market volume and if the news is really that good, I'm expecting the price won't stay at 0.0025 that long (for next batches)! Grin

Already been demonstrated that expectations are above .0025  Grin

YES 4 / 0 NO    (1 ABSTAINING )

Any idea how many shares will be issued on btct? Will it be the same price at .0025BTC

I suppose that that depends on if we have burned through the 2 million by the time AMC is approved.

Market is flooded with people undercutting.  This better be some insanely good news!

At least it wont be initially be possible to undercut when the shares open on BTCTCO. But it does baffle me why people sit on the bid waiting for an extra paltry 1-2%, and why people selling think 1-2% is important to them. Flawed logic there somewhere.

Cheers BigBitz, and John K. All good.

All BTC gone for now. Check back here next week, for more.

Thanks

So if these 2 million new shares are listed on Bitfunder then what will be listed on btc-ct?
And why would the price be different as it's the same thing?

Listed = AMC PT, as in, pass-through. So they are the same shares. Theoretically, there shouldn't be a price difference, but there will be marginal differences.

umm sorry  what does "TBD" mean?
To Be Decided / Determined

thanks, and who decide it?  the issuer only?

Yes
2177  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 26, 2013, 11:00:14 PM
I would love to take this company serious, but posting "news" every few days, while selling more shares and listing on new market places just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The "company" is already valued so high that a massive success is priced in already.

Just does not seem serious.

But you can dream a little, right?.....   "............will be used to make AMC the largest Bitcoin Mining Farm in the world."
2178  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 26, 2013, 09:00:44 PM
The price was growing at a rate indicating an acute shortage of shares.  Since we need $500k to compete at 28nm it was a golden opportunity.

Ken, Avalons can be overclocked considerably given sufficient cooling.

What's the plan to keep ours frigid and pegged? Thermal interface compound isn't something to skimp on.  Or use one of the water cooling designs floating around.

So true. I watched yesterday as ask orders were removed (including me), and the traded volume was very low.
2179  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: June 26, 2013, 08:21:27 PM
ken if you are reading, could you care to offer an explanation as to why you are issuing the shares before your "big" announcement.

EDIT:  Also can you comment on how you chose your new ipo price at 0.0025 when you have previously noted it being 0.001

I don't understand either.
Surely if the news really is major.
The price would go even higher.
And selling shares after the news would be more profitable, no?

Either way I'm curious to the full details of the announcement.

Guys, the price has to go somewhere. Where would you put it?

Releasing shares for sale then releasing news.... a dump-n-pump!  Grin

That made me genuinely laugh out aloud.
