21641  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muhammad Ali Jr. Detained At Airport For Second Time on: March 12, 2017, 01:05:37 PM
After the 9/11, the security and surveillance in the international airports were increased, and a lot of people get detained as a result of it. Another thing  is that a large number of plane hijackers have the first name as "Mohammed".

A better clue regarding the 9/11 hijackers would not have been surname pattern matching, but their origins from Saudi Arabia.
This reminds me of that timespan of 1933 ~ 1945 where they had been killing people by religional believes.

A majority of the attackers were Saudi Arabian, but the Al Qaeda could have recruited members from any Islamic nation. Their religion was more important than their Saudi origin. Do you believe a Christian Saudi could have done this?
21642  Economy / Economics / Re: Alibaba’s Jack Ma: “Everyone Should Have a Bank Account.” on: March 12, 2017, 04:39:50 AM
Nowadays, it is very difficult to survive without a bank account. So Jack Ma is perfectly justified when he said that. Holding your currency in physical cash is neither a safe nor a convenient option. Have your choice between Bitcoin and credit card.
At least it's free of nosy agencies. I don't need anyone to monitor my transactions and I don't need people to be able to freeze my money or repossess it. Look what happened on Cyprus, do you really want banks to have the upper hand and be able to control you? Who controls the money controls the people and I want to be the master of my own life, the captain of my boat.
Also, having cash (or Bitcoin) allows me to make payments anytime I want. A bank can say: sorry maintenance time.

There are advantages in using physical cash, such as anonymity and ease. But then, if you are living in an area with high crime rate, the storage of cash can be a problem. By holding physical cash at your residence, you are also putting yourself at risk.
21643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The international court of justice at the suit of Ukraine to Russia on: March 12, 2017, 04:35:08 AM
The guy here is attempting to say that the two countries are still going to be friendly based on the pure fact that the people within the countries are the Slavic "little brothers" of the Russians and even though a war was raged between the two nations it's going to be fine.

Personally, I don't think the Ukraine has many other countries that would support them if they were to be attacked by anyone else besides the Russians and they are like little brothers to the Russians along the lines of borrowing stuff from them.

There is no war raging between Ukraine and Russia. There is a civil war going on in Eastern Ukraine between two groups of ethnic Ukrainians, and Russia is not involved (at least not officially).

21645  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sweden returns a call to the army in connection with the threat from Russia on: March 12, 2017, 04:30:24 AM
Conscripts, as far as I know, get paid a salary. Whether it's a pittance depends on the eye of the beholder.
It depends from the average standard of living in the concrete country. I think there would be 100s millions of voluntary conscripts in India if offered $1000/month, but for Sweden it is just a pittance!

Then why can't you import mercenaries from Somalia and Afghanistan to Sweden? IMO, it will save a lot of money for the government. But no one will be able to guarantee their loyalty.
21646  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea fires four ballistic missiles into sea, angering Japan and South on: March 12, 2017, 04:25:51 AM
What was their target? The sea? If it wasn't the sea, be glad they missed.

Cool

Firing missiles towards the sea serves the purpose for Kim Jong Un. He wants to provoke Japan and South Korea (and the United States as well), without triggering the retaliatory measures.
21647  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DONALD TRUMP WILL BE AMERICA'S MOST FAMOUS PRESIDENT on: March 12, 2017, 04:23:25 AM
I do think Donald Trump will be a very famous person in the history of American politics. How long has he been president? Barely three months and he's trending on global news each day . If anyone thinks different about this, he or she should feel free to reply to this topic.
I also think so because the man has a very good intentions for his people just fake news media houses that are propagating bad about his administration. Trump will definitely going to be one of American famous leaders. There is no any part of the world today that people are not talking about trump.

Even before becoming the president of the United States, Trump was dominating the news, although the coverage was mostly negative. I hope that after sometime, the media will shed its bias against him.
21648  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Erdogan has called the Netherlands "a relic of Nazism and the Nazis" on: March 12, 2017, 04:20:34 AM
The Turkish foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara could impose economic and political sanctions against the Netherlands, if the country's authorities denied him permission to fly to Rotterdam to participate in the rally, reports Reuters.
Note that Turkish politicians had planned to speak at rallies in several European countries. The power of Rotterdam rejected the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu permission to hold a rally on 11 March in which he planned to convince the Dutch with dual citizenship to support the changes in Turkey's Constitution.

The dutch have forbidden his private plane to land on dutch territorium, so the turkish minister of  family and social policies just announced she would be coming by car instead. What a joke that country is. Holy guacamole.

Normally, if a head of state gets insulted in such a way, then he is more likely to stay away from that particular nation and initiate retaliatory measures. But by visiting the Netherlands like a beggar, Erdogan has proved that he has no shame.
21649  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ThePirateBay shutting down for good??? on: March 12, 2017, 04:16:41 AM
This is probably not as relevant anymore but I got a warning from my ISP that said I got a copyright strike for downloading. They're really getting strict with torrenting in the USA, stay safe, use a VPN.

Even the VPNs are not 100% anonymous. In the United States, there were reports of law enforcement agencies seeking IP logs from VPN providers. If you are using a VPN, then use one which is based in Russia or China.
21650  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What was Milo Yiannopoulos disappointed to find at the prom? on: March 12, 2017, 04:13:03 AM
Why would he be disappointed on finding adults? I thought he liked his men older... Oh wait, that was when he was a teen.

So now we have the conformation that homosexuals are much more likely than the heteros to engage in sex with minors? Milo Yiannopoulos is attacked because he is right-wing. But the liberals should remember that these attacks can backfire on them.
21651  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are all american racists? Do they hate all outsiders/immigrants? on: March 12, 2017, 04:09:49 AM
The whole idea of racism is stupid. It is designed by Government to take freedom from people.

Cool

The problem with racism is that allegations of racism can only be pointed against white males. It can never be alleged against Africans, Muslims, LGBTs, Japanese, Koreans.etc despite the fact that many of these people are even more racist than the whites.
21652  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it profitable to run a Bitcoin faucet in 2017 on: March 11, 2017, 05:42:03 PM
For me, its not profitable to run bitcoin faucet in 2017 because I think there will be no more people will be  interested on faucet because its very cheap and its wasting much time just by collecting mbtc or satoshi. But if you run a bitcoin faucet that makes attract to people maybe there are some but you didn't profitable but its up to you, we don't know what real happen.

You are 100% wrong. Everyday, thousands, if not tens of thousands of new users are being gained by Bitcoin. Many of these new users try to get their first Satoshis from the faucet sites. If you could maintain a faucet site properly, then you can earn decent amounts of money out of it.
21653  Economy / Economics / Re: Alibaba’s Jack Ma: “Everyone Should Have a Bank Account.” on: March 11, 2017, 05:38:28 PM
Yes everyone should have a bank account. It should be in the human rights.

In that case, there should be zero fees and no requirement of maintaining a minimum balance. You can't force everyone to open a bank account and later leach them in the form of service charge and transaction fee.
21654  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DONALD TRUMP WILL BE AMERICA'S MOST FAMOUS PRESIDENT on: March 11, 2017, 05:26:53 PM
We intend to put a lot of Mexicans to work building the wall between the US and Mexico.

Lol...

Exactly, so America is going to pay for the wall, as anyone with a brain knew all along.  I'm glad we're in agreement on that.  Trump lied that there was even a remote chance in hell that Mexico were going to pay for it, but a bunch of gullible saps believed it and voted for him anyway.

No, we're going to hire Mexicans to build the wall and pay them with money scraped from a percentage of their remittances to Mexico.

It's a bit complicated, so don't worry about it.

Unless that percentage is about 50%, you're going to come up short, heh.  Maybe you need to worry about it a little more.  $24.6 billion in yearly remittances, estimated $12-$15 billion for the wall.  What are you going to do if they discover Bitcoin?  Good luck getting any money then.   Grin

Also, it's not exactly rational that if you can suddenly acquire $12-$15 billion of revenue from that particular source, you would then spend the money to limit that source in future.  You're supposed to spend money to make money, not lose it.  No wonder most of Trump's businesses are such spectacular failures if that's how he runs things.   Grin

Bitcoin usage is heavily monitored in the United States, and some users have even been arrested by the law enforcement authorities. If the Mexicans use Bitcoins for remittance payments, then you can expect a very strong reaction from the IRS.
21655  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea fires four ballistic missiles into sea, angering Japan and South on: March 11, 2017, 05:22:24 PM
This guy (Kim Jong Un) seems to be mentally handicapped. But even more alarming is the fact that he is commanding an army of close to 4 million people and having multiple nuclear weapons in his possession. Is there any solution to exterminate this rabid dog?
In the event of war it will be destroyed, but not without casualties. The best way is a complete blockade. Neither the sale nor the purchase of goods should not be. Complete disconnection from SWIFT.

Only the ordinary civilians are going to suffer in case of an embargo. Kim will continue receiving millions of USD worth of gourmet food and designer clothes, through his contacts in Russia and China.
21656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: March 11, 2017, 05:19:02 PM
If World war III happens.

Bitcoin price 1M$ ?

It will be the other way around. The Bitcoin prices will crash with respect to the US Dollar. People will be short of cash, and they will start converting their coins to fiat cash. The demand will also be low, and this will ensure low exchange rates.
21657  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nazi New World Order on: March 11, 2017, 05:15:47 PM
And who will buy the bonds of the government which works in debt? Today, they sell bonds to one another tomorrow, and the next day they have nothing to sell and they will default. You are going to invest in such a government?

It is very complicated. Default is the last resort, and not too many nations will have the balls to do that. If a country defaults on its debt, then it will be made a pariah in the international bond market, at least for the next few decades. It is suicidal.
In the desire to have more opportunities. If there is no money, then they will not appear. The default is a forced measure, but such variant is quite probable.

There are always ways to avoid default. A few months back, Greece was very close to defaulting on its debt. But they managed to avoid it, by paying a part of it through the sale of islands and airports. The remainder was secured through a new EU loan.
21658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Two memorial documentaries about the undefeated Givi on: March 11, 2017, 05:12:11 PM
Then you are wrong. If Ukraine will restore control over the territory captured by the Russians and terrorists all odious personality can be captured and testify in court. Putin does not want this.

Even if the Kiev regime regains control of the DPR/LPR, there is no guarantee that the rebel leaders will be caught. They will just withdraw their forces (just like what they did in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk) and retreat to Russia.
21659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signed a new immigration Ordinance on: March 11, 2017, 05:09:29 PM
To a claim against the anti-immigrant decree of the President of Trump except Hawaii joined the States of Washington, new York, Oregon and Massachusetts. The new Ordinance may not take effect.

You are ill-informed about the American legal system. A few states can't block an ordinance. Doing so requires a majority in the house or in the senate (which the Democrats doesn't have). Else, the ordinance can be suspended by the courts, but that is not going to happen this time.
21660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ThePirateBay shutting down for good??? on: March 11, 2017, 05:07:37 PM
i got download at piratebay site and i got malware inside my pc so maybe its good to shut it down to prevent more of the people to get viruses
Your virus won't be from the Pirate Bay, it'll be from seeders.  This is a risk which everyone has to take if they want to pirate anything.  Most people are perfectly fine.

been downloading from them since time but never get to have viruses even when i'm using windows. just chose the ones that got reputation like eztv or ergt uploaders. don't install anything from any uploads too.

I am also downloading through torrents for the last 10 years or so. I never had any issues with trojans / spyware, even when I was not using any anti-virus software (now I am using Kaspersky).
