His whole marketing campaign is aimed at illiterate/innumerate people, those who can be convinced that the law of thermodynamics can be somehow suspended after paying for an expensive patented 3M cooling fluid. The reality is obvious: you can't omit the heatsink, but it can be either local or remote.
Interestingly, they actually built some of their water-cooled setups so they must have the exact costs available, they just don't disclose them, hoping to snare some semi-literate or semi-numerate investors who'll buy into the "no more heatsinks nor fans" spiel.
well, the ''magic'' of two phase immersion cooling is that the change from liquid to vapor state consumes a lot of heat energy! That's thermodynamics, too. So you need a lot less cooling equipment than with air cooling or normal water cooling. |

The only time Havelock mentions being able to convert AM100 is upon dissolution of the asset... I would love if they got rid of the 5% fee AND let you freely convert...
Hell, they should just remove AM1, convert them all into AM100, and remove the fee and be done with it... there really is not the liquidity to support both.

Nur so zur Info: Der Ebayhänder hadsystems, der die Rockminer bei Ebay vertickt ist der gleiche, der http://www.asicminer-shop.de/ betreibt. Ist also egal wo ihr kauft. Hatte mir auch mal überlegt so einen kleinen Miner zur Netzwerkunterstützung zuzulegen aber 70 Euro für den Miner plus 20 Euro Stromversorgung sind meiner Meinung nach deutlich zu hoch. Mal abwarten... |

Hatte vor ein paar Monaten mal Posteo angeschrieben die auch auf öko und Nachhaltigkeit stehen. Die meinten sie sind wegen dem hohen Stromverbrauch, der bei der Erzeugung von Bitcoin entsteht, gegen Bitcoin. Habe darauf hingewiesen, dass auch Banken und Zahlungsdienstleister einen großen Stromverbrauch haben aber das war ihnen egal. Also kann unter anderem auch hier ein Grund sein...

Was ich nicht ganz verstehe an dem nxt zeug:
Je mehr man von NXT in seinem Klient hat, desto mehr NXT kommen hinzu durch forging, richtig?
Hinzu kommt, dass die Anzahl von NXT wie bei Bitcoin begrenzt is, sodass es durch neue Investoren zur Deflation kommt ( wie beim Bitcoin auch).
Ich sehe ja das Horten beim Bitcoin schon kritisch für die Wirtschaft. Beim NXT wird noch ein zusätzlicher Anreiz gegeben. Wie soll da ein Wirtschaftskreislauf jemals zustande kommen?

Even if the Top 10 accounts only need to clear out 100 BTC altogether (which is very very very optimistic) it would need way more than 3 month of mining with 24 Th/s.
