2181  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 11, 2023, 04:30:57 PM
The movement of price index has clearly show that the price will not rise this year, is almost half a year now since the price drops, this is far beyond inflation and fiscal policy of the government, I think bitcoin is suffering heavy weight withdrawals and it might end up been this Stuart for the year.

You can't draw a conclusion on that, remember bitcoin has gone down the dip to $15,000 before things begin to surge fine till we arrived $29,000 and finally now on $27,000, who knows what may be the aftermath to this occurrences happening about ordinals and high transaction fee, bitcoin may rise or fall more but we can't be accurate with this prediction as to when it may occur, not even now that we are getting closer the the next halvig which will unleashed another bullrun that we all expects, it's better to always remain being speculative in studying the trends on the moves with bitcoin price than concluding yet because anything ca happen anytime soon.
2182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think will be the next Big development on Bitcoin after Bitcoin LN? on: May 11, 2023, 04:22:33 PM
Imagine how wonderful it would have been it the so called Bitcoin LN is running on the Bitcoin chain itself, I keep telling people that Bitcoin LN isn't the same with Bitcoin, I would have preferred if Ordinals is running on Bitcoin LN instead, they should have left Bitcoin the way it is, we love it like that, we never wanted Ordinals running on Bitcoin chain, we have Segwit too which is better than Bitcoin LN, it is well.

We believe more work to comes out base on the developers research and conclusion on ordinals if it works to be a secured attempts on bitcoin network and at the same time cause the entire transaction fee to be lowered to less than $1 as it has been before, we believe there can be a lasting solution and probably there's enough contemplation already going on about this matter, wether to eliminate Ordinals or provide a remedy that will not place a hook on the neck of bitcoin community and users,
2183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New wallet uses Amazon hardware security modules to eliminate seed words on: May 11, 2023, 04:08:01 PM
Quote
Speaking to Cointelegraph, the Kresus team said that their new wallet app attempts to fix this problem using a wallet infrastructure and software development kit (SDK) called “Magic,” which stores the user’s private key on an Amazon Web Services computer that is specifically designed to store highly sensitive information.

The AWS computer encrypts the user’s key with a Master Key that cannot leave the hardware module, much in the same way that a hardware wallet does. This eliminates the need for seed words or private keys to be stored on the device or kept as a paper backup, the team said.

This isn't good enough for those that can understand the influence of a third party andbthe use of a central server online storage apps, they can bebas dangerous as unaware to users and not everything they gave to say you believe, why can't you device a means to secure your seeds yourself than relying on their system for the storage, what is the guarantee that they can't be bridged, track you or got attacked themselves by hackers.

Is seed phrase a problem?

It's not a problem but how you store it is what determines it's a problem or not.

You are asking not to be advised and yet you making a big mistake by having another thread outside an already existing topic, you could have at least asked this question on the other topic to avoid anyone of them turning into spam threads.

Because thread duplication is not encouraged and is seen as an offence that can lead to the topic being reported and deleted.

In addition to this, creating threads doesn't make any difference in your pursuit for achievements on the forum, it will rather create another impression about him being a spammer which is expected to have being known by OP to always make use of the search button to check if relevant discussions had been made on his area of interest, but in this case, it's his own topic which he made and yet opened another thread, he should be lucky its not locked, you don't have to create a new thread before you can be able to pass across any information at hand or ask questions about anything.
2185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liechtenstein is considering to accept bitcoin for government payments on: May 11, 2023, 08:46:03 AM
Many governments don't say this publicly but I'm pretty sure they're hoarding bitcoin so they don't put themselves at a disadvantage to others, and Liechtenstein's stating this could drive others out, high FEE won't stop anything especially when movements million.

You're right in your opinion as Liechtenstein Prime Minister has developed interest on bitcoin investment through the State reserved assets, bitcoin is not what we deny of anymore because it is legally acceptable as a means of payment in any part of the world, being a decentralized digital currency makes it more outstanding and more applicable in various economic aspects of life, the current high transaction fee is never a distraction to wether to give interest in bitcoin adoption or not, everything works base on the understanding of what bitcoin is and how it has come to be a game changer of the financial economy, we look forward for more countries adoption this year as a legal tender.

There's already an ongoing thread on meta that demands the ban of newbies from posting on the lending board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5451026.0 because they are causing a bunch of spam over there by requesting for loas without even taking their time to read the requirements for such or know if they were eligible or not, but as for me i will support if some of the loan threads could be self moderated or rather, members should always report such cases of trolling to the moderators for proper actions, a newbie cannot just arrive the forum, take loan and left without a trace or qualateral to stand for him, this is not a ponzi site.
2188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Question/Help!] Bitcoin Transaction Fee Discrepancy on: May 10, 2023, 02:01:06 PM
The transaction fee displayed from my wallet, Mycelium to be specific, is not even close to what is shown from the Mempool. I wonder why? Can anyone enlighten me regarding this?

Are you sure that you've refreshed the page on mempool.space to see for the latest update on the charges, then are you sure that you're not only considering the highest fee priority alone from what you read on the mempool.

The difference is up to 5x what is shown in the Mempool.
The lowest high priority in Mycelium fee starts around $27 while in the Mempool, it is currently at ~$12.

You could use a wallet that supports RBF features and am not sure if the mycelium wallet you used have this same functions or you can rather important your wallet on electrum and set for lowest priority and you ca also make an adjustment on the fee charge per transaction you made from minimum to maximum amount same on electrum wallet.

2189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Place to buy Physical Gold on: May 10, 2023, 10:35:12 AM
I know this is an awful place to ask this question but please know that I am also bitcoin holder. Do any of you buy physical gold where they ship it to you and if so from where? Just throw me a link to the spot and I'll do my research from there. There just seems to be alot of places to choose from and not all can be trusted.

Have first considers the conditions in buying a physical gold, which involves you undergoing through a thorough KYC conditions, most of the gold sold were from government and you should understand what buying a raw gold means from government, rhe second means is to buy from individual gold merchant with materials or jewelries made in gold, those ones can be gotten in an open market of any location in your country as long as you make a demand for it you will surely have a direct link to those that sells it from diff locations.

There's every possibility that bitcoin can make you turn rich in the future but it all depends on your decision today, where your asset lies there your priority is, Bitcoin is the rescue of your way out of economy wreckdown provided you give it chance to, many were always complaining but not doing away with things that tied them down to not progressing in life, if you invest in bitcoin, hodl and have every sound knowledge required of you about bitcoin then there's no way you wouldn't make something good after your holdings, most bitcoiners targeted the bullrun for such purpose after they must have buy the dip and hodl for long.

Indonesia setting up for more on bitcoin mining, could this be a step closer to bitcoin adoption as legal tender, this was a chat they had together with Samson Mow on discussion concerning the bitcoin conference in Miami, many other official representative shows interest as well for bitcoin adoption. https://twitter.com/TheBitcoinConf/status/1656024718053449769?t=dVlg_kKVj76T60NW_ktcoA&s=19 we hope to see more countries before the end of this year taking more drastic steps in making bitcoin their official currency as a legal tender in pursuit after El-Savador and Central African Republic.
2192  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Avoid Ponzi/Ponzi scheme is a scam on: May 09, 2023, 01:35:41 PM
If you're too desperate to make online money then there's no how you will not fall into the hands of the wrong ones because they will always try to influences you to do what tou don't understand or know about, everything in life has a due process without rushing it either, nothing is free anywhere, you have to work for it and earn it before you can be deserving of it, the scam projects are many on the internet rampaging, even our desire for crypto doesn't mean we should go for any crypto project, many of them end being a scam and left untraceable.
2193  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Delay your Bitcoin transaction for this week| Volunteer campaign on: May 09, 2023, 01:12:28 PM
Future solutions:
Use Bech32 addresses.
Use wallet that support RBF.
When fees are low Fees not low! Wait for opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs, consolidate all of your previous transactions into one income.
Use the Lightning Network for everyday payments.

Good and perfect ideas, but we expect all these to soon end as solution will be engineered toward the issue of high transaction fee relating to ordinals, something of this has already happened in the past sometimes in 2017 whereby we gad a scenario similar to this, but this got back as expected over time as solution was derived to tackle it, as lomg as the network is not at risk by this then i believe we are good to endure till the lasting solution arrives, we should always try to check the mempool before making any transaction in other to know the direction of where we are heading to whenever we want to make any payment transaction to avoid being disappointed or delayed.
2194  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcoin Ordinal will waste block space? on: May 09, 2023, 11:41:23 AM
I have been reading about Bitcoin Ordinal but I couldn't spend a lot times so couldn't learn the whole thing yet. Anyway, I read one article where it says each sats will have a identifier number. This is crazy! How's it going to be done technically? Can someone explain?

If they really mean am sure they can achieve it, but the question here is that, is it necessary? to me i see no reason why that should be implemented when we have all it takes to erase the whole challenge from existing by going back to where we started from.

Also, if Bitcoin Ordinal is used by a lot of people, will it create an issue for normal bitcoin transactions?

It obviously that we are likely to continue to have a higher transaction fee like this we are experiencing currently, the high the use of the Ordinals inscription the higher the bitcoin transaction fee may go.

Bitcoin block is too small in size. If sats inscription consume a lot of space in each block, won't it create a problem of shortage of space in block?

It not even about creating a shortage in blockspace now that's the challenge, but we are afraid of hackers not using that as a means to launch attack on bitcoin nodes through this NFTs memes on blockchain network.
2195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet should be used to keep bitcoin safe? on: May 09, 2023, 10:42:22 AM
Trust wallet, mycelium and electrum which of these three wallets is the most secure?
Which wallet would be better than these three wallets?
I bought Bitcoin from kucoin, so far it's in kucoin

Make sure that your bitcoin is not left on that centralized exchange because they are custodial wallet and have more of disadvantages than the advantages of using them, i will recommend you two category of non custodial wallets which you can try make use of, they are cold storages and one example had already been given you with the use of electrum wallet, try check this ones as well.

bitcoincore, for your maximum security, you can download the software Applications and run it,
https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/

Open Source Hardware Wallets, go for this category as well if you can spare some amount of money to secure one by purchase.

2196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC Transactions Fees are Skyrocketing? on: May 09, 2023, 09:51:01 AM
You think bitcoin transactions are expensive, look into this

source

There are times we don't even give attention to some things that were demanding much from us than the ones not giving us much challeng but we feels uncomfortable with them and it seems a major concern on us, quite alright bitcoin transa is going higher and more in recent time but we should also looked into the value of the assets we are trying to make the transaction from and compare it to other sources that demands paying higher fees for without us knowing or minding of.

This is not to encourage the high in transaction fee because we are used to paying low fees on our bitcoin transactions, but we can also check other means we pay high fees aside from bitcoin that are taking much from us than we expect, bitcoin transaction fee will soon become a story when the lasting solution has been made.
2197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High transaction fees and businesses that accept bitcoins. on: May 08, 2023, 02:08:46 PM
This season where transaction fees are really high can be a discouragement for people who were already becoming used to making payments in bitcoins at their local stores that accept payments in bitcoins. For people who have businesses that accept payments in bitcoins, how are you coping at this time when transaction fees are really high, and what adjustments have you made to try to see that people do not totally cancel out making payments in bitcoins due to this challenge.

We can't just because of transaction fee deny customers from making payments neither should that be a discouragement on them as well, i think using one or two dollars as cost for transaction fee isn't that too much beyond bearable approach until a lasting solution is given on this, meanwhile the level of how this affects us also depends on the rate of transaction we are taking, tou can't compare someone making a huge sum to the one making just less than hundred dollars to have same experience, lastly try to engage making weekend transactions when the mempool is mostly believed to be less congested and study the fee rate on mempool before making any transaction and you can always go for low priority as well.
2198  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 08, 2023, 01:35:13 PM
So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?

There's nothing bad about making any of the two decision since it has to do it our own personal choice, it's what we want that we should go after in other for us to derive satisfaction in life, this is a matter of opportunities, either you are in your home country or traveled abroad as long as you can maximize every opportunities life brings to you tgen i can you're fine to go ahead, there's no how you can give less and expect much in return, such principle works perfectly in the kind of approach we give to our living existence, which all begins with the values we create right from our localized zones that catapults us to having great ideas and moving further in life and not those that can't think for themselves.
2199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a good option for a beginner in Cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2023, 01:09:11 PM
Am a newbie I need more detailed clarification and explanation from senior colleagues here on the best Cryptocurrency to invest on whenever i have the funds and how to go about it.

Go for bitcoin as a beginner, learn about bitcoin investment and have an ideal knowledge of it before you invested, also try to low about bitcoin wallet and make use of a cold storage wallet in having your bitcoin, avoid holding your asset on centralized exchanges, but you can only make use of them when there's a need for you to make an exchange or buy bitcoin and then you move to your personal wallet, you will need one step at a time and it begins with you learning first about what bitcoin is in cryptocurrency and why it's the most preferred crypto.
2200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When using Bitcoin to make purchases, do you feel bad? on: May 08, 2023, 12:53:09 PM
However, my issue is that whenever I consider purchasing using Bitcoin, I feel uneasy. I'll never forget the man who bought pizza for more than 30 bitcoins; those bitcoins are really valuable

Dont create a fear out of no reason, those that were early adopters have thesame opportunity like we are having today, they never thought about things going to turn the way it became today, if you have that same opportunity to hodl bitcoin or accept it for your business then it's better you implement that against the future, there's every certainty tge table will still turn around the second time or even more when you hodl.

if I have some stablecoins, I try to use them to make purchases since it seems more comfortable. While things are still horrible on the market, I don't want to touch my BTC.

Such idea may be a good one as well, if you can old your bitcoin and make use of other asset for a living, especially in times like this when we are fast approaching to the next 2024 halving, there's this believe that we are going to have a bitcoin bullrun on it price whereby holders will rejoice.
