So many question marks with EOS. Terrible ICO terms, and I can't believe how many people are jumping on the hype wagon right now.
Many people purchasing through the ICO have ended up paying more than on the exchange due to all the FOMO.

There's still 9 months left people! I'm just going to keep my eye on this and if I feel like it I might buy some over Xmas/NYE while everyone's snoozing.. 
To go in now and at this price, is ludicrous with all the coins they're dumping. People are just hearing the words "..the next Ethereum" and going in balls deep..

There are other platforms that allow you to earn Crypto by answering questions (like Quora, Yahoo Answers) but none I believe that do it as a real-time chat, so keen to know more about how it will work.

So the end has come much sooner than expected hey? No huge surprise I guess.
Thankfully I was lucky and managed to get back any money I'd put in (only $50).
Any profit I've accumulated is stuck behind an error message, with everyone else's..

I feel terrible for anyone who'd recently deposited or lost anything here.
Lesson learnt for all of us - we knew it was a gamble at best, even disguised as a faucet..

On the question at hand: Personally I think, if you're an adult and you choose to get high here and there, in the right circumstances, there's nothing wrong with that. To me its no different than having a few glasses of wine occasionally.

What IS the problem, is those who do it to a point where it starts affecting other aspects of your lie. That's when things get messed up. But its not just drugs, some people have the same problem with alcohol, some also with prescription drugs.. Same thing, they use it as a crutch and avoid living in reality and then it f*cks their whole lives up.

I tried a few drugs in my 20's, and honestly I enjoyed the experiences for what they were, some of the funnest times in my life. It was never a problem for me, I never had the urge to do it regularly, and it never affected my work or study (and I owned a business and was at law school at the time). By the time I got to my 30's, I was out of my young partying days, so stopped, life's priorities change and you move on.

As a marketer with many years experience in the digital/social/online space, I'd thought I'd chip in my 2 Satoshi worth too.. (Since this topic is still alive)

Firstly, its all about the product and who its potential audience is..
The product and the market will determine the strategy you choose, so it firstly depends on what you're selling and who you want to sell it to.
ie: Is it a pump-and-dump product that you just want to flog? (Such as affiliate products, referral links etc)
Or is is a product you care about and want to nurture for the long run? (Something you developed yourself or want to stick with/grow)

If its something you're going to stick with for the long haul, then as some people have already mentioned, building a good blog site and getting all the appropriate social media in order is absolutely essential. You'll also want to take advantage of services line Mailchimp, ShortStack and Landing pages to grow your mailing lists and maintain ongoing, meaningful communication with the audience. (newsletters, competitions, special offers, giveaways).

In that universe, Social Video is king right now, so make sure your blog and socials are filled with plenty of interesting, up-close-and personal video content. Even if you don't like being in the spotlight yourself, you can easily create heaps of short videos of people using your product, giving it a review etc. Social Media algorithms love video right now, so use that to your advantage.

Facebook/Instagram ads as well as Adwords are a really cost-effective way to compliment your efforts and help drive awareness to your product too. Facebook is now geared in a way where it is very difficult to build big page organically, so it is definitely worth spending a bit on 'sponsored posts' and PPC ads. You can get results here for as little as $50 a week and simply grow your budget as you can afford to.

Also think of other advertising platforms that may be specific to your product - Eg: Coinads, Mellow Ads and the like are great for promoting products within the Bitcoin/Crypto/Digital space.

If the product/brand is something you care about, never use annoying techniques like pop-ups, spamming etc. People will just view you and your product as annoying and probably not credible so definitely spend the time developing your audience instead.

On the other hand, if its just an affiliate product you want to sell, you might not want to go to the effort of setting up a blog or socials.
You can easily market affiliate products without any of that, simply through Adwords and other PPC ad platforms.

Keep trying is all I can suggest. Make sure you have a support ticket open as well as Facebook.
If that doesn't work, you could always open a thread on this forum to demand an answer from the team.. (I'm not trying to start shit, that's just what I would do, if I was getting nowhere with their customer service)

For starters, I find it hard to believe that someone with that amount of spare bitcoin would be a 'newbie' around this forum, then disappear into the shadows. And anyhow, why would anyone send $5k worth of Bitcoin to a site that has been up only a couple weeks? That's just ludicrous.

I've put a few people onto this site now, many with deposits, and no issues at all, myself included.

I'd be worried about my planet too, if I were you

Only have one account per household and make sure your referrals are legit (not just your brother, your mum, your phone etc)

You can withdraw as many times as you want, but remember it will cost you 50,000sat every time. If you keep withdrawing every couple days, you will eat up all your profits by the end of the month.

Best to only withdraw 2-3 times during the month, IMHO. (I waited 10 days until the investment was fully recouped before withdrawing anything.)

Wowsers! Lucky it came back.. Yes I learnt that the hard way on another faucet. Never refer someone in the same house, even if they're using a different computer.

I agree. Essentially, if you're not going to invest anything, you're going to be waiting a couple months for any significant earnings. (Still more than other faucets though, so far). And who knows what will be happening by then. If you then also continue to sink ALL the profits, back into planet upgrades, you might never see a dime. Creating a long-term plan to earn from this site is certainly optimistic.

I have already made back any BTC I've invested, so now its just profit really. If the site goes down, its just free money I'm losing now - no biggie.
All I will have lost is my time, which is currently about 10-15mins a day. Again, no biggie. (I spend longer than that deciding what to wear each day)
If the site stays around for a while, like I hope, then good, everyone's happy and we continue enjoying our earnings.  

For anyone still torturing themselves about whether to invest or not, remember this:
Like with ANY investment, there's always some risk involved, NOTHING is guaranteed, so NEVER invest more than you're willing to lose.
Same goes if you were investing in shares. Or property. Or whatever. There's always a gamble, to some degree.
