221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitbond scammers or not how you think? on: July 31, 2019, 10:36:02 AM
Hello to all. There are such moments when they just start to lose their nerves. How many more projects will mock bounty hunters? No more strength to endure it. Today, in the official chat of the bitbond project, one of the project leaders stated that they did not reach the amount they wanted, namely $ 2,500,000, to pay the bounty participants any bonuses. But they go to our meeting and are ready to divide into all 5000 tokens. Isn't that funny to them? It turns out for $ 2-3 per person. I personally wore their signature for several months. And for this they want to pay me $ 2. At the same time, the project did not have a soft cap. Someone may say that such things can not be painted projects and call them scammers, but I think it's just a mockery of ordinary people. I believe that all people should know about such projects and I will not delete my topic until the project management changes the payments. I hope the section moderators will not mind.
Sincerely.

In this case it is your own fault.
They had this rule written down in their bounty page, you should read it carefully!

I dont understand how they legally can give out those tokens because they claim that they are securities, and those cant be given out.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stake vs Fixed bounty allocation on: July 30, 2019, 10:34:14 AM
With stake allocation you can get more tokens based on the stake and how many participants join the bounty but that's that, the reason why I choose fixed allocation over stake is because right from the start you've know how much tokens you will get and the fact is merely looking or comparing bounties from one to another fixed bounty allocation performs better, they pays most times and no single participants is left out, what do you guys say about this?

fixed allocation in 99% of cases is completely stupid.
All of us know how token price changes especially after bounty is released.

They calculate fixed allocation as the token would hold the price as in ICO, this almost never happens, so you are left with pennies for your work.

Fixed is okay when bounty is paid in real crypto Cheesy like btc or eth.

223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some Big Bounty Hunters Are Greedy on: July 29, 2019, 07:54:51 PM
What is the ETH address?
If he has one " full member " account then there is a small chance that he had tons of money form it, especially in the last year.

I got some very good payouts at the big bubble time, but nothing big since then. So it is hard to believe that someone is making big money nowadays.

It is possible that he got lucky and was promoting very successful projects which gained a lot after entering exchange but that would be pure luck.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: July 29, 2019, 11:41:05 AM
The SEC is warning that  " investing with credit cards" is a red flag.

Cant quite understand it. If someone wants to process those kind of payments, they need a company , thus it seems more legit that they take card.

Is this red flag for those " ico webpages" whos only purpose is to stole your card info ?
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trip from 0$ to 100k $ on: July 29, 2019, 11:26:33 AM
The plan is not that bad in long run.

There are some drawbacks .
Airdrops are very hard to come buy, most of them are not worth the time and wont yield enough to invest.

I am not sold on the idea of buying STOs. Most of them are not really traded because the real STO tokens can legally only be exchange din regulated exchanges.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Real estate for bitcoins your opinion on: July 28, 2019, 06:48:19 PM
I found a classified listing site that you can trade real estate for bitcoins
http://bit.ly/cryptorealestate
I have some properties and was thinking off leveraging my investments
so I was thinking of trading one for bitcoins what do you guys think?

What do you mean classified?

In some countries this could be useful, for example it is forbidden to buy real estate with cash in my country.
In this situation BTC,  other crypto txs for real estate can become useful.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank Of China Is Promoting Bitcoin And It Sounds Very Bullish! on: July 28, 2019, 06:44:57 PM
The webpage is in chinese.
We dont have any way to check if it is real or fake news also we dont have a way to know if this is indeed the bank of china.

Definitely they are not " promoting " bitcoin, the best case scenario they are legit and they are just educated the public.

Dont forget that the majority of btc mining belongs to Chinese companies..
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Traditional Payment Processors on: July 23, 2019, 09:09:43 AM

Nonetheless, do you believe that there's hope for Bitcoin to beat traditional payment processors or will those same payment processors adapt to the Blockchain in the future? Huh

The second seems to be more true , the big companies are going strong to utilize block-chain and make their transactions faster.
There are huge lobby to be considered, VISA and MC are humongous companies with extremely high income and they can push around a lot of regulation. Not to mention other hurdles to overcome traditional finance, the tipping point could be another economic crysis.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 10 years from now a quantum computer on: July 23, 2019, 09:03:36 AM
In 10 years from now a quantum computer will have sufficient computation power to give a 51% attack on the bitcoin network.

Please discuss.

Are you from the future? Where do you got this estimate from , form fox news or some fake news page?
Because this is just fake. Quantum computing is far from being a reality even in 20 year time.

Yes,some separate advancements has been made but full computing device is something completely different.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest battle for Bitcoin's life is coming on: July 20, 2019, 04:05:17 PM
Dont be over dramatic, none will battle Cheesy
Governments will chose to regulate or ban Bitcoin and altcoins with along it.
Regulation will be harsh or wage, probably it will be unpleasant for  most ocrypto users, but it is the next chapter of bitcoins  " book" we want it or not.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress: Bitcoin Is Unkillable And Unstoppable! on: July 20, 2019, 04:01:00 PM
The quote is true, well almost.

BTC can be killed or at most screwed up badly if one person controls over 50% of computing power.

From government point of view, they can ban it and come up with hard punishment but it will only push the crypto underground but it will still be there.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Government criticised over banning Bitcoins on: July 19, 2019, 03:41:55 PM
I think that Indian government is just taking the easiest way , the stupid way, the way which does not respect peoples wishes.

One of the purpose of the government is to be responsible for money regulation and money floundering. They see threat in crypto in money control and they are right, there are 2 options.

1. To bank crypto all together.
2. Embrace it , use it for your countries benefit.

The second one obviously is harder but beneficial.

P.s. Writing this I started to think , that it is popular for large country governments with low average income population to introduce draconian laws. I wonder why is that..
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine that you're new to crypto now on: July 19, 2019, 03:34:06 PM
Imagine that you are a new player in the crypto world and have no idea about this topic.
What are you doing now? Read the book? You invest your savings in bitcoin, maybe you look at other coins (alts) or maybe you see that the price is falling and you're waiting to buy even lower. If so, do you know when to buy? What's your plan for this moment? Smiley

Most likely I am excited as hell, I dont know about bad things in crypto, the huge amount of scams in ICO world, the telegram scams, the exchange scams. I dont know that I need to protect my privacy. I am trying to establish connections with news articles and coin price, I am trying to find other corrections. I dont see how book could help with trading in BTC, there are plenty of good information on web.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: USA Government Adopting Crypto? on: July 16, 2019, 01:51:42 PM
1. This is just one guy.
2. There is completely no point of trying to tie news to btc movement in price, additionally this is very little piece of news.
3. Never say never, but - never gonna happen, USA will not adopt cryptos.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Yusko: Bitcoin can go up to $ 30,000 without correction on: July 15, 2019, 02:15:12 PM
Mark Yusko said in an interview that Bitcoin price can go up to $ 30,000 without correction.

What's your take on this?

You already can see that his predictions was not true, Bitcoin has already corrected from 13k to 10k .  Not just once but two times, some people saying that this is extremely bearish trend and noting that BTC is going lower before starting to show some evidence of bullishness again.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The ugly side of Bitcoin on: July 15, 2019, 02:13:12 PM
There are a number of threads on this forum which are constructively denying argument of Bitcoins contribution to global warming.
Bitcoin is not a threat to global climate more than any other industry, it is not the ugly side of bitcoin!
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why president Donald trump is not a fan of bitcoin? on: July 12, 2019, 02:35:44 PM
Donald Trump tweeted that “ He is not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, & whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air”

“If Facebook and other companies want to become a bank, they must seek a new Banking Charter & become subject to all Banking Regulations

What's the reason behind this criticize?

As always he does not know what he is talking about.
It is hard to understand what will be the consequences of Libra for crypto laws, negative or positive.
Even more because Libra is not a cryptocurrency.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this good for bounty checks? on: July 10, 2019, 11:12:34 AM

1. Check Team
2. Check Concept
3. Check Partnership
4. Check Media Press
5. Check Sales IEO

1. Team can be made up very professionally, often it is hard to tell the difference.
3. Partnerships are a good indicator as long as you can verify it in both sides.
4. Easily bought
5. Often faked.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willy Woo Reclaims “Bitcoin Will Surely Strike $1 Trillion Market Cap by the Sta on: July 09, 2019, 02:01:13 PM

One trillion in market cap would value bitcoin at around 55,350 USD. ( 12300*4,5)
Not so outrageous as other people and " big persons"  and self proclaimed specialists often say - from few hundred thousand to million usd.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people bought Bitcoin because of you? on: July 09, 2019, 01:57:21 PM
Maybe one or two, I am not sure.
I dont like to suggest people to buy crypto , I know how volatile it can be and how easily it is to use money here.
I tend to tell people what is crypto and discuss it , they can do what they want afterwards.
