You should be careful about thoses forks as they can be scams to get your keys.
After the snapshop has been done and one day later.
Look if they have an explorer for their blockchain and use your public key to see if you received the coins.
Then, if you really want to look if you get the new coins, transfer your coins to a new wallet.
And then look if you have the new coins or not from your old wallet keys. Else, don't try to put your private keys on their wallet.
A Tron scam project is also looking for private keys...

An extension can also read anything you type on a webpage.  ? Why would anyone consider to install a keylogger into their computer? This is really not the best idea. Unless you want to kill the whole (great) project. Reconsider it, please. I know that it can be seen as a bad thing to use this extension. But i still believe that BitTube is a good project. It is not the fault of the BitTube team that an extension can access everything on a webpage. As all extensions can do it. On their blog, they are talking about making their own browser. I am still using the extension and it is now harder to get TUBE. I only use the browser with the extension for surfing. |

It is possible to hack wallets. There was recently a hack of the official Komodo wallet. If the wallet you are using has been hacked, you can't do anything to protect it.
But you still have to trust thoses wallet as they are the only way to interact with the blockchain. You have to pray that the software you are using has not been hacked.
And that the OS, web browsers and softwares are not hacked too.
